The little girl was to her usual self, yes. But that usual self was still something completely different from other children of her age, as she had quite the special circumstances growing up. Not only that, her whole life was directed by a being that was not even of this world. Her powers were beyond mortal comprehension and they were currently leaking out as well. Every single bit of that could be seen as not normal in any shape, way or form. That was Charlotte, the White Witch yet to be. Or at least that was the planned story for now. Anything could be still changed. Seth had the power to rewrite it completely from scratch if they so desired. But now? Even though they knew the result of this struggle, they would not even flinch. In fact, they were quite looking forward to it. For it was soon now... a dangerous encounter of life and death. And death would reign supreme in all aspects, pure and impure. Another chain holding the girl down would be broken, finally opening a path forward. A road that was covered in white roses and crimson red thorns of blood.
As Cirven would finally start speaking, the young lass in front of him would merely tilt her head to the side in questioning manner, her expression reflecting that very emotion. What exactly was going on here that she did not remember or know about? This was clearly the first time she had seen this boy, no doubt about it. She would have remembered someone like him, especially since his name was exotic in some way. She liked it, actually.
"Hello! I am Charlotte, a witch from Black Rose guild. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mister Mizune. I had no idea that someone else was in this place, I'm terribly sorry. Seth said I should come here to 'progress the story' so I did. I wonder if I can't progress now because there is someone else here..."Somehow, it appeared that she ignored every single word that was said about hostility, illusions and attacks. But it wasn't like she didn't pay proper attention to what the man said, for she was indeed paying attention properly. It was simply the way her brain worked in times like these. He saw a bit of it before, did he not? When she thought that the dog demon would attack her, she completely collapsed as panic swallowed her whole. And right now, she was in a similar state where her brain simply erased all negative information that reached it. A defensive mechanism that would prevent another breakdown so to speak. It was clearly not the best way of doing things, but one could not simply command their own consciousness. But then, she too would hear the whispers inside of her ears. It made her start looking around in even greater confusion, seeking the source of this noise. It probably looked like she was actually expecting to see a group of people trying to reach the duo, hence all the noise. But she saw no such thing. Instead, the sword came into her view, just like it did for Cirven. A sword? No, was looking at simple emptiness. Void... nothingness. It was that powerful, the reality itself being shifted around in the girl's head in order to not cause panic.
But that would not last forever of course. Without her even realizing as her eyes were affixed at nearby fallen wall, the dog demon left her all alone. And before she would actually realize this, he was already outside talking to the Nightmare Lilith. Charlotte remain holding her position behind a counter, only letting her white pupil-less orbs stare at the due outside. And then, a third figure came into view, trying to hug the purple haired man, but failing. All of this was so strange, she had to properly investigate, right? Getting from behind her cover, she found an old looking ladder leading to a roof of a neighboring house. As quiet as she could possible be, she climbed up the wooden rotting steps and found herself overlooking a good chunk of the village. She was not alone either, as Cirven suddenly landed nearby. Trying to approach him, she also noticed Lilith down below. She was doing something strange... and then, chain made out of rather sharp looking chain shot at like a whip, headed right for the boy. In shock, the young girl jumped towards him, pushing his body to the side with all of her might. It was one way of making sure he wasn't hit by it. However, it came at a price. The chain instead connected with the girl's own neck, as her height was different from his. And with that one single motion, her body fell from the roof.
And while that landed in the dirt, her head still rolled up top, pool of blood swiftly shifting and creating a small line pouring down from the tiles. A horrific sight indeed, yes? But before Cirven could even blame himself for anything, a massive magical circle appeared in the skies, overlooking the entire village. And with it, unbelievable amount of magical energy that would make even S-ranked mages fall to their knees as the pressure was rather great. Along with it, a female voice would start speaking out loud seemingly from every single direction at once, similar to the whispers that could be heard earlier.
"Designated puppet confirmed dead before expiration date. Allowing access to rewind point #16. The puppeteer will now take full control to secure the puppet's well being."
As the mysterious voice finished, the girl's body and head would start rising to the skies, slowly melting into a mess of blood and skin. For a moment, she became nothing more than an organic mass of horrors.
The process was somewhat slow, but she would be eventually restored, her original body in one perfect piece descending back onto the battlefield. And with grace, she would place her feet onto the roof once more, the magical circle and it's power disappearing in an instant. With a wide smile, she would open her eyes once more to reveal two golden orbs looking down at the nightmare which was taken aback.
What the hell was that?!And Charlotte could only continue smiling. Of course this little child would be taken aback. Even her partner was surely surprised at the sight he just witness. Or perhaps even angry? All was possible in a place like this. The only thing that was for certain now, was the fact that the young White Witch was black. And strange purple crystals were starting to grow all over her body. She would also answer the Nightmare, though her voice was a bit different from before. Just like when she performed the analysis, it was completely devoid of emotion and said in perfect, understandable way.
"That was a Rewind Point. Saved data of time and space used in order to recreate the existence of being that had died when they should not have. Quite simple, yet effective. Would you not agree?"Word Count - 4365 / 6000
