The demon did not exactly know what he was getting into but he knew that something had to be done about what was going on with his latest target. The info said something about a seven year old girl who had enough magical power to rival some of the strongest mages and had been killing dark mages in a serial killer fashion. It might have been true that some people probably were better off dead but not every person she killed was truly evil. They were just in guilds that had not been able to register or had done petty crimes that the Magic Council would not let them register because of. They were not innocent but they did not deserve to be killed, especially in a way that had them ripped to shreds and unrecognizable in most cases.

The info in the job details said there were reports of the girl being seen near a pretty much abandoned village where it was deemed haunted because of how eerie it felt being there. Cirven was not the type to think that a place was not haunted in any sort of way but that did not mean he was too scared to go there. Though he did have a run in with a haunted house in his Sabertooth days that caused him to almost destroy it and his friends inside with him from the fear it gave him. Things were different now though. He wasn't that kid anymore who was too caught up in his own thoughts that he did not understand the world around him. He knew that the world had dark and twisted things in it and knew that they had to be dealt with in some capacity, even if it meant taking a life or more. It was the sad and cold truth about the world he lived in and he had done it before so if forced to he could just switch gears and do it again.

He arrived to the village from the air, using his ability to fly. He saw that it looked like only the memories of those who used to live there were in the village. He could not smell or hear anything that sounded like anyone was in the village but made sure to keep his guard up. It was too convenient for the village to be that way or at least he thought so. He looked around the buildings near him, not going into any as he saw most of them were boarded up. He then saw a building where the door had been broken through and cautiously went about going inside of it. Inside he found the bodies of what looked like to be some scavengers. They had holes all over them from some type of stabbing attack while their faces were still pasted with pure terror from their own deaths. "This place doesn't look too inviting at all." He spoke out to himself. He heard a sudden noise of a foot step behind him and quickly turned to see nothing was there. He moved out of the building and looked around the area in front of it. He felt like he was being watched and whatever was doing it had to get closer earlier to see him in the building. He decided to be more cautious about what was going on and made sure to keep his senses in check with each step he took.

This world was filled with Darkness of all kind. Intangible and filling every orifice of the Earth they were standing on this very moment. And yet, people that would be deemed completely 'normal' and unimportant were not aware of it at all. They saw the world around them as at least somewhat peaceful and enjoyable. Perhaps that was because of exactly what they were, just mere fillers to make this place feel not so empty. Or at least that was the view of Seth, a god-like being from different world who's gender or even mindset was completely unknown to all living creatures. Even Charlotte herself did not know what exactly this puppeteer of hers was. But she trusted them with her very life, as there was quite literally nothing else she could do anyway. Even in a situation like this one, where she found herself leaving the dim and slowly withering forest, only to be greeted by the sight of an abandoned village that loomed over her in menacing manner. The puppeteer led the girl here, for what reason they did not say. Because this was nothing more than another part of their story. So even if this situation appeared rather dire to the young white witch, everything would surely turn out just fine. Clutching her clothes tightly as nervousness filled her small frame, she tried to approach the gates. The were open, long slashes decorating the wooden work in erratic and chaotic manner.

It was beyond obvious that something or someone forced it's way inside at some point. The girl did not wish to really think about it, as she was scared aplenty already. So instead, she just continued on inside, her bare feet stained with soot and dirt the more steps she took. And a veil of eerie mist embraced her body, caressing every fabric of her being the moment she found herself beyond the village's threshold. Even then, she sensed nothing that would be out of the place. Or rather, something that would emit magical energy, as this whole palce was out of the place for a young lady that grew used to the busy streets of Rose Garden, her home town. Merely looking into the darkness that surrounded this place was like staring into the Abyss. But the Abyss did not stare back, instead, only the most dreadful of feelings would fill her bones and flesh, the warm blood blessed by white remaining the only thing keeping her warm. Inhaling deeply and then exhaling in equal strength and motion, she would try to brace herself and take more steps forward. She was nothing but a starting mage still, only handful of rather useless spells at her disposal. But she believed that nothing bad could possibly happen if Seth was the one who brought her to this place.

Of course that fact alone wasn't quite enough to erase all sense of danger luring in here, even if nothing was to be sensed. With nothing that would bring her comfort and feeling of safety, the girl was left with very little in manner of options. Clenching her teeth, she closed her eyes and simply started running ahead in the direction that lead further into the village. Perhaps not the smartest of choices, as she soon came to a dead stop that was followed by a considerate amount of pain in the area of her face, mostly her nose. With those pure white eyes closed like that, she was quick to run into a wall of nearby house and already injure herself. This was a great start to an adventure, wasn't it? Well, better than finding out that this village was filled with horrors that would want to harm the young lass. So she just rubbed her now rosy nose as she moved more towards the center of the road. But once more she came to a quick stop, her body almost automatically flinging itself back behind the corner and pressing itself against the firm, yet damaged wall. There was someone there... a man who she did not recognize. And asking her puppeteer wasn't exactly providing her any answers either, as Seth loved to stay silent in situations like these. Was he hostile? Was he the one who did this to the village possibly? She couldn't be sure on any of those questions, so she just let her body slide against the solid wall behind her, soon finding herself in a sitting position as she firmly covered her mouth with both of her hands, small hints of tears appearing in the corner of her eyes. She made her presence known aplenty, so it was only question of time before that man would make his way over here and do something to the young girl, surely.

The demon was not looking around long before his senses caught the sound and scent of someone near him. They were not trying to hide themselves at all and instead they made a loud sound that sounded like a body slamming and sliding down a nearby wall. The demon quickly made his way to the other side of the wall where the sound came from only to find a frightened girl. She looked older than the age he was given in the info but he could not be sure of who she was or why she was there. "Who are you...?" He said as he looked down at the girl with a serious look. His dual colored eyes glaring at her with the intention of analyzing everything about her. She had pure white hair that was reminiscent of snow, wore a white uniform that seemed to be something like a school girl would wear and she had white eyes. All of the white she wore and had naturally somewhat bothered Cirven who had taken a liking to darker colors over the years which was shown in his all black outfit that he usually wore similar variants of. This time he wore a black sleeveless shirt, fingerless black gloves, black pants and black boots. Sure, it was pretty generic but he liked it and did not stand out so much because of it which he also liked in some situations.

There was something about her that made him think she was not the girl he was after. She did not seem to have that strong of magical power at all. She could be simply hiding it but she still did not fit the age and looked much older. Her white eyes were different compared to other humans he had seen and made him think she was not a regular person at all. Before he could question the girl more somethings came into her peripherals and caused him to look down the ruined street of the village. He could not make out what they were at first but they were getting closer or bigger the more he looked at them. "Did you..?" He started to question but stopped as he realized the objects were three swords and they were growing larger and larger until they finally seemed to be in front of him. They continued to grow even while in front of him and then they started to move down to cut through him. He jumped out of the way of the attack and tried to figure out who was controlling the blades. He looked towards the girl to see one of the blades moving down to hit her. He did not know if he could trust her but he quickly moved between her and the now gargantuan sword and put his arms up to block the attack only to feel nothing as the blade came down onto his arms. "An illusion? I don't like tricks as much as I like treats, you know!" He yelled out and swiped his arms around in order to swipe away the images of the illusionary weaponry. He let out a sigh and turned back to the girl. "You don't have anything to do with what is going on here at all?" He didn't completely know if he could trust her words but decided if she was going to say or do anything that he would have to be cautious about it. For all he knew, she was working with the girl who had down all the killings in order to get at him somehow.

The girl wanted to be silent. She wanted to be brave. But she was neither in the face of panic as her body helplessly rested against the crude wooden structure behind her. When the man appeared from behind the corner, she tried to escape again. But her position did not allow it at all, for there was nowhere she could really back up to. He was scary, the dark colors surrounding him mercilessly, embracing him almost. But anything would appear to her like that in such a bad state. Her mind was wandering a lot, making her unable to form a single solid thought. But could anyone really blame her? She was naught but a child that lived a sheltered life, distant from the real problems of this world, away from the pain and suffering others had to go through on daily bases. Soon, her body started reacting on it's own when the man asked who she was, tears quickly starting to roll down her cheeks, the sobbing girl trying to cover her face in pathetic manner.

    "I... I...!"

That was it. She couldn't even properly speak right now. But at least he was no longer facing her, as if she was being interrogated. His attention was stolen by something else, something that draw the girl's pupil-less eyes as well. Ethereal swords that appeared to be constantly getting closer, each second nearing the moment when they would stab the two of them. But that moment would not come, ever. Eternal illusion of paranoia, an annoyance that you could not make go away. And in this very moment when the man was distracted, she tried to escape. She had no idea what was going on in this place, so it was entirely possible that this guy was a bandit or something even worse. And she had absolutely no means of defending herself. But even trying to get up was a challenge in her state. Though she succeeded, quickly trying to run away. A dash of desperation that ended in a laughable failure, the girl's foot suddenly kicking into a bigger stone that was in the road, making her fall forward, her body landing in a muddy pool that was soon tinted red.

Blood poured from a small wound on her arm, as well as on her leg. Walking everywhere without any footwear certainly had it's perks, but in a situation such as this one? It really was a mistake. She could no longer stop the tears, fear and pain melding together into the chaos that swirled around in her veins, filling her heart and being pumped further. The poor little girl that was destined to lead a life of despair tried to crawl away. Even if he was busy with the swords for moments, he would soon be back at her back. And surely he would want to harm her for that failed attempt to escape. With her leg like that, she could barely walk, soon finding herself to even moving on all four for what it was worth. The clothes stained with mud and blood changing her snow white appearance into the one of a filthy and unloved pig. Why was Seth so silent? Was all of this planned? Was she truly destined to go through all of this? The little girl did not know. She could only crawl through the filth to an unknown destination where she would never arrive.

His words went onto death ears it seemed like because the girl did not pay any attention to him and was running away. He could tell that fear had completely taken a hold of her and she was trying to just survive somehow which running seemed to be her only option. He didn't exactly know how to get her to understand that he was not there to hurt her as long as she wasn't going to harm him but figured if he put it into words that maybe he could get her to understand that she was better off with him than alone. "Hey! Wait! Stop trying to run away from me! You won't get far if whatever is attacking us gets to you first!" He called out to her as the vision of the blades faded out for him. He was not affected as much by illusions as others and because of this could decipher what was real from an illusion much easier than most others who were in one so he took advantage of it and did not pay any mind to the floating swords as he caught up to the girl who had fallen into a puddle of mud and ruined her clothing.

"Are you okay?" Cirven questioned her as she tried to keep running away frantically as if he were after her. He understood what she was thinking. She probably thought that he was causing the issues going on in the village and because of that she wanted to do all she could to stay away from him. He didn't understand why she was in the village at all, especially with no will or drive to defend herself against any threats. He quickly moved in front of her and spoke. "Look. I don't know who you are or why you are here but you clearly are not causing the illusions from earlier so I can help you with getting out of this village. This is a dangerous place and I'm on a job to deal with the person who is causing these illusions. Sorry for earlier if I sounded scary to you or anything." He felt like he was talking to a smaller child with saying the word 'scary' but could not think of another thing to say on the spot like that. "We need to..." Before he could keep speaking an eerie sounding whisper started up in his ear. He was confused by where it came from at first but figured that it was another petty illusionary trick down by his target who was looming around and toying with him. "these tricks again..." He again saw a sword in his eyes that was getting bigger and bigger but this time it was like it was implanted in his eyes. He tried to close his eyes so that the vision would go away but it was even there when he shut them causing him to scoff in annoyance because he knew it was not real and it was more of a irritation than anything, which only made the whispering in his ears worse.

There was a sudden sound that he could make out though. The sound of multiple objects whistling through the wind towards them. He turned around quickly to see that in the air above them was multiple spears flying at him. He managed to see this even with the sword in his eyes blocking his vision slightly and with the whispering in his eyes basically trying to drive him crazy. "Stay.. Behind.. Me.." He spoke to the girl he was with as he fought against the annoyances he was dealing with. Black electricity surged over his arms and formed over his hands like claws just before the spears could hit him. He then started to deflect each spear over and over. He was surprised at first that the spears were all real to him meaning that they were not illusions like the swords from earlier and now in his eyes. He was doing fine for a bit but then the size of the sword in his eyes got larger and the whispers in his ears got louder which took away two of his vital senses that he needed to keep deflecting the spears. He managed to deflect some of the last spears but the two illusionary tricks became too much for him and caused him to miss in deflecting the first of the last five spears. The spear stabbed through his body causing him to grunt out in pain but he knew that he could survive it and the last few spears but knew that if he messed up too badly that the girl probably would not survive a spear hitting her. He put his body out in front of her like a shield with his arms held out and the last four spears all sunk into his body, possibly hitting the girl with some of his blood. He coughed from the attack he had just taken and was breathing heavily.

"Give.. Me a.. Second.. And.. Don't.. Be.. Scared.." He spoke out as he started to pull the spears from out of his body one by one. With each spear being pulled out came a quick healing of the hole it left. He threw the last spear down on the ground next to him and huffed in some air from the effort he had to put himself in to do it. "That wasn't as painful as I thought it was going to be." He stretched his body after and realized that his clothes were now full of holes. "This was one of my favorite coats! You will owe me a new one!" He yelled out as he forgot that he had a girl he was protecting near him for a second. "Oh yeah. So who are you exactly? I'm Cirven Mizune and if you haven't figured out yet, I'm not really all that human." He smiled at the girl and made sure to not show her his sharp teeth but to show her a smile that gave off a bit of warmth even in the ruined city that they were in. Maybe this time she wouldn't run away suddenly or at least he thought because of his smile towards her.

Post by Charlotte 5th April 2017, 3:42 pm

It was pretty much impossible for the girl to hear the man behind her as she was trying to escape, only an unpleasant ringing noise penetrating her skull and entering her brain. Her vision was as if she was in a dark tunnel and there was only one ray of light, of hope, on the far end. And she had to get to it no matter what if she hoped to survived. Of course that wasn't the case at all, as this supposed exit only grew more distant the moment she fell and was now pretty much incapable of even properly walking, her leg injured and some of her toes even possibly broken from kicking the cold and hard stone so hard. It was an unpleasant situation alright and she had no idea how to get out of it. If only Seth lend her their guidance, surely she would know what to do and how to leave. But they were silent. Perhaps this was her punishment for a sin she knew not of. But there must have been one and she had to repent now. As the strange man approached her again, she prepared for the worst. She would die, and then she would just wake up from this terrible dream again, right? That was how it happened few times in the past. She would die in her dreams and then just wake up alive, everything around her just fine. Or at least that was Charlotte who though of those moments as dreams. Only Seth as of right now truly knew that it was all real, their ability to revive the young white witch being kept a secret for the time being. After all, it would probably have some undesirable effects if the puppet was to learn of such a power, perhaps even making her reckless in the past because she knew that she could never truly die.

Well, that was not the truth either. The puppeteer hat the option of leaving at any point if they were to get bored. Then the girl would be left dead and alone in the afterlife for all of eternity. A truly sad fate that she could probably not avoid by the end of her road. But it was not the embrace of death what approached her. Instead, she looked up, her eyes pink from the intense crying, her cheeks stained with salt. What she saw instead was that very man, standing in front of her and shielding her. He was indeed protecting her. Perhaps he hoped to gain her trust this way. But... in all honesty, the results could have been better. The tears started pouring once more as drips and splatters of blood adorned the girl anew. They were not hers, they were his as the spears penetrated his frame without a spec of mercy. Something like that was not good at all. Why was he being injured in her stead? Wait... he was being injured? The world suddenly seemed a lot more gray, completely blank and devoid of anything at all. In this reality, in this world, she could only clutch her head tightly as her vision became none. In front of her was the nothingness, surrounding every fiber of her being and gnawing at her without second thought. The girl that could not comprehend violence and death, pain and suffering. Her fate was to break down into milion pieces, like a shattered mirror that could never be put back together and form a crystal clear reflection as before. This happened many times already. At any point when she was exposed to a violent scene like this, she would break down. And Seth would always bring her back by possessing her for just a tiny bit.

But not this time. Seth had different plans now. Because this could simply not continue. The road would only get more difficult with time, the further she would go. And because of that, it was the puppeteer's duty to prepare the puppet for future. Her powers had to be awakened through drastic measures. And this was part of it all. As Cirven turned around and introduced himself, he would only see a collapse young female, holding her own head. At least before she would start screaming violently, as if thousand needles were entering her body and violating her nerves. And with that inhuman screech, the world started shifting beneath the weight of White Witch's power. It was true that the girl's magical energy was not the greatest, but that was because others could not feel what was hidden in her purified blood. And in that moment, everything around them would start entering into static. As if the entire village was but a picture in a broken TV, the colors started melding together, trees past the village freaking out as their shapes became completely unrecognizable. But at the end, it was not enough. In order to awaken her powers properly, something even worse would have to happen. And soon, the curse of chaos faded, the whole place returning back to normal as if nothing had happened at all. And Charlotte would only sit there, still holding her own head and staring blanky at the dirty ground beneath them. Only one thing persisted through it all. It suddenly started snowing. Snow that was not cold and very sweet if one were to taste it. Something like that was strange to say the least, as it was definitely not the season for such weather. And there was not magic at play anywhere, indicating that this was actual natural event.

Post by Cirven 6th April 2017, 8:52 pm

The sword and whispers all stopped but a new situation poked its ugly head in. The demon figured out a bit late that the girl had not been paying much attention to what he was saying and was having some type of issues going wrong with her. She did not run this time but something else entirely was going on and he could feel it. She knelt down screaming out in agony it sounded like to him. So much so that his hearing was affected by it a bit. She held her head as she screamed and looked down towards the ground as if something was taking control over her forcibly and she was losing against its attempt. The atmosphere around her seemed to change completely. It became more turbulent and violent around her as magical energies seemed to surge over her to the point where the surrounding area was affected drastically. The area around her and him morphed into something that looked like something you would see in a badly projected movie where the picture was all distorted and choppy. The demon did not know how to deal with the situation at all and only held out his arms to protect himself from any possible attack or at least make an attempt to do so because of his lack of understanding of what was going on.

Just as quickly as it all starting though, something happened. Everything stopped and changed back to normal. The girl still was knelt down holding her head and staring at the ruined floor below her as if it was enough to show her what had just happened and why. He went to check on the girl but before he could he was suddenly brought under the spell of the illusion again where the sword appeared in his eyes and the whispers started up again into his ears. He did not know what to do to stop it but knew it had all been a distraction earlier to get him to be too disoriented to deal with the spears. He couldn't risk dealing with that situation again and the girl seemed to be in worse shape than him for dealing with any attacks. This forced him to come to one conclusion for them to do.

"You might not be able to hear me or anything but I'm going to help you so don't be scared." He spoke out quickly and then picked the girl up. He held her as he then ran towards the boarded up door of one of the buildings near them and kicked the door down. He quickly moved into the house just as his assumptions were correct as multiple spears slammed into the building in an attempt to hit either of them in some way. He made sure they got out of the way of the door way and moved behind an old counter as the spears were able to slam through the walls of the building and into the counter. Seconds later the barrage of spears seemed to stop as well as the whispers and the swords being in his eyes. He poked his head out from around the corner of the counter to check the damage suffered to the room they were in. The spears had tore through everything and what looked like to be the remnants of an old home was now reduced to nothing more than the looks of a battlefield.

He turned his attention to the girl. "Are you okay? These attacks are getting predictable but at the same time they are pretty dangerous. Whoever is causing this seems to be toying with us though." Cirven did not like the fact that he was being someone's play thing in some sort of game of death at all. The worst part was he could not figure out where they were at all to stop them.

That annoying ringing sound, going through your head mercilessly and not giving you any chance to stop it. Surely everyone felt it at some point. In the depths of deafening silence, only this one sound could be heard, driving us crazy and beyond the border of senses. It was all the young girl could hear... and feel. Like vibrations through the Earth, she was unable to connect to the world around her in this state. She was disconnected. This was what happened in most cases of her panic attacks. A completely and perfect isolation, designed to protect her from the hurtful intentions of this world. Except, that was not what happened at all. In fact, she was most vulnerable in this very state, as was rather obvious by the fact that Cirven, the dog demon, had to pick her up and start carrying her the moment he sensed the incoming danger. Even someone like him could not defend against such attacks forever? Or perhaps it was just that he did not believe in himself enough to also protect the snow white doll in his arms. That was the conclusion Seth arrived to as they watched the scene unfold. If it could be observed by any means at all, then others would surely see the puppeteer striking their chin in deep thought. This was most interesting to them, how things developed in such scenario. And they would continue to observe it all, until the moment they were satisfied.

They were what controlled the puppet in times such as these, when her own mind was nowhere to be found. But right now, the young white witch was not moving at all, her body completely limp in the masculine and uncomfortable embrace of a man who was only trying to escape a very possible demise. And they did, as they found a refuge in a nearby building. Though the spears were capable enough to actually tear apart the structure of refine wood and cut stone eventually. And as they sat there, the lass would finally regain at least some of her senses, seating herself against the counter in a position where her knees were almost trying to hide her mouth, those two small hands embracing herself just below those knees. It was a very sad sitting position, or perhaps a scared one? Though the fear did not last long at all, no, no. Getting into a position like that was Charlotte's doing alright, but what came next was no longer her. Not that anyone could truly tell with how chaos ridden she was. And as Cirven finished speaking, she would start.

"Distance assault analysis... start. Based on available data, several common trends can be connected together. Type - Summoning mage based on ReEquip qualities. Assessment - avoid. Enemy forces appear to be using illusion based magic dependent on one's perception of space and reality. Assessment - non-lethal. Based on recorded data, it can be assumed that the enemy forces go by the name Nightmare Lilith with 87% accuracy. Assessment - elimination in process."

Her voice was still exactly the same as before, only... it was devoid of any and all emotions. It was not Charlotte who spoke those words, neither was it Seth. An automated search of database that the puppeteer activated, a voice that also announced itself every time the young girl died so far. It beckoned the question of just how many tools did the ancient force that the puppeteer was has. Well, that was probably about it for now. The thread was not great enough for awakening right now, which meant lingering in direct control state would not bring any advantages at all. For now, Seth decided that it would be most entertaining if the girl's own mind would be put back in place, ready to fall into this hole of despair once more. And so her fair complexion turned, her face now gazing at probably confused demon dog. Her own expression was just as puzzled, a piece of her memory clearly missing with all that had transpired. It would be clear to the man too, once she made her lips part they ways.

"U..umm... who might you be? Where are we?"

Her words surely echoed through the emptiness of this place as the white snow particles continued falling in the mist, making it more of a white-ish shade instead of the horrid black it was until now. Though the weather was not cold at all. In fact, it was probably getting warmer at this point. It was snow from another world after all, one that not many had visited yet. A world buried in eternal winter and yet, it was never cold. Earthland was surely one of the most normal dimensions out there. Or perhaps that was not the truth at all. After all, no matter where a person lives, that place would become completely boring normal eventually, yes? Still, if this due were to continue their little adventure, they would surely come across many more unusual events worth making a story about. But for that to ever happen, they first had to deal with their current situation and the tiny nightmare that was still plaguing this place. Now, what would be her next move?

Post by Cirven 12th April 2017, 1:04 pm

Cirven did not know how exactly to take the girl acting the way she did. She was at first beyond scared of everything going on around them and even him then she was screaming and changing the actual layout of reality it seemed like and now she was spouting out an analysis like she was some sort of emotionless robot. All he could do was stare at her completely confused as he contemplated his next move. He was not completely sure with staying around the girl as she seemed to have a lot more going on with her than it seemed plus she seemed to be much more dangerous than the target he was after in the town with her earlier display of power that she seemed to not be able to control at all. He grew further confused and distraught when she somehow reverted back to sounding like a regular person and asked who he was and where she was.

"I told you earlier who I was but I'm Cirven Mizune. We are in a village that has been ruined and left while we are being hunted by someone. You just randomly showed up here while I was here to do my job and now you are pretty much being protected by me from the person attacking us." His voice was cut off by the sound of whispers in his ears. They started to get louder and louder. He continued speaking before they got any louder. "She is using her illusionary abilities again on us. Try to not focus on the words or the floating sword or swords that you can't get out of your sight!" He quickly spoke out and practically yelled the last sentence as the whispers had gotten much louder than they did earlier. The whispers sounded more like a gathering of different people all coming together inside his ears and started talking like in a cafeteria. Then a sword again appeared in his vision and he let out a loud grunt before yelling out. "Where the hell are you!? Stop toying with us and come do this yourself, you brat!!!"

After his yelling the sword and whispers quickly stopped causing him to look around confused and then cautiously. His sense of smell picked up on something outside of the home they used for shelter from the earlier spear attack. He made his way out of the house and looked to his right to see a small jet black haired girl standing alone in the ruined road. She wore a black dress that had multiple tears in it and did not wear any shoes. Her body had blotches of dirt on it and showed that she had barely been taking care of herself. "You called, mister? I was getting kind of tired of playing that game anyways.
I wanted to play a new game.
" The girl spoke to him as he made his way to stand in the road across from her. Her voice was just like a child's and sounded squeaky and high pitched but Cirven knew he could not trust that. She might have sounded like a child but she was a murderer and it looked like she had a thing for playing with her victims before killing them. "What is the new game?" Lilith smiled at Cirven. "It's the game where you die, mister." As her words stopped the sound of a footstep came from behind Cirven and he jumped to the side in order to preemptively dodge any sort of attack but nothing happened and all he saw that was behind him was a familiar face. "It is time for you to die, brother." Cirven's eyes widened and he couldn't think of how the girl did it but his sister, Aayla was behind him looking like she did just before she died. He was resistant to illusions so he would usually see through it but he could see her completely. He did not understand what was going on and in his confusion, Lilith reacted shooting out dark element chains towards Cirven like their were whips. Cirven was late to dodging them and this lead him to being hit and sent towards his sister whose arm was covered in her serpent dragon take over spell. She slashed her hand out across Cirven's side causing him to gasp out in pain. He regained his composure and jumped up on top of the building he was just in leaving Lilith and his sister watching him. He did not know if he could actually deal with the situation properly because of seeing his sister there and his ability to be less affected by illusions not doing anything to see through if it was an illusion or not. "Can I really 'kill' her again..." He mumbled to himself and couldn't take his view off of his 'sister'. Lilith stood there smiling from ear to ear knowing that her spell was working and that she could get into Cirven's head without the use of her illusions. All she had to do now was break him and she would have herself a new 'toy' to play with.

The Nightmare Lilith vs Black Sails and Black Rose(Job,Charlotte) Empty Re: The Nightmare Lilith vs Black Sails and Black Rose(Job,Charlotte)

Post by Charlotte 16th April 2017, 12:14 pm

The little girl was to her usual self, yes. But that usual self was still something completely different from other children of her age, as she had quite the special circumstances growing up. Not only that, her whole life was directed by a being that was not even of this world. Her powers were beyond mortal comprehension and they were currently leaking out as well. Every single bit of that could be seen as not normal in any shape, way or form. That was Charlotte, the White Witch yet to be. Or at least that was the planned story for now. Anything could be still changed. Seth had the power to rewrite it completely from scratch if they so desired. But now? Even though they knew the result of this struggle, they would not even flinch. In fact, they were quite looking forward to it. For it was soon now... a dangerous encounter of life and death. And death would reign supreme in all aspects, pure and impure. Another chain holding the girl down would be broken, finally opening a path forward. A road that was covered in white roses and crimson red thorns of blood.

As Cirven would finally start speaking, the young lass in front of him would merely tilt her head to the side in questioning manner, her expression reflecting that very emotion. What exactly was going on here that she did not remember or know about? This was clearly the first time she had seen this boy, no doubt about it. She would have remembered someone like him, especially since his name was exotic in some way. She liked it, actually.

"Hello! I am Charlotte, a witch from Black Rose guild. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mister Mizune. I had no idea that someone else was in this place, I'm terribly sorry. Seth said I should come here to 'progress the story' so I did. I wonder if I can't progress now because there is someone else here..."

Somehow, it appeared that she ignored every single word that was said about hostility, illusions and attacks. But it wasn't like she didn't pay proper attention to what the man said, for she was indeed paying attention properly. It was simply the way her brain worked in times like these. He saw a bit of it before, did he not? When she thought that the dog demon would attack her, she completely collapsed as panic swallowed her whole. And right now, she was in a similar state where her brain simply erased all negative information that reached it. A defensive mechanism that would prevent another breakdown so to speak. It was clearly not the best way of doing things, but one could not simply command their own consciousness. But then, she too would hear the whispers inside of her ears. It made her start looking around in even greater confusion, seeking the source of this noise. It probably looked like she was actually expecting to see a group of people trying to reach the duo, hence all the noise. But she saw no such thing. Instead, the sword came into her view, just like it did for Cirven. A sword? No, was looking at simple emptiness. Void... nothingness. It was that powerful, the reality itself being shifted around in the girl's head in order to not cause panic.

But that would not last forever of course. Without her even realizing as her eyes were affixed at nearby fallen wall, the dog demon left her all alone. And before she would actually realize this, he was already outside talking to the Nightmare Lilith. Charlotte remain holding her position behind a counter, only letting her white pupil-less orbs stare at the due outside. And then, a third figure came into view, trying to hug the purple haired man, but failing. All of this was so strange, she had to properly investigate, right? Getting from behind her cover, she found an old looking ladder leading to a roof of a neighboring house. As quiet as she could possible be, she climbed up the wooden rotting steps and found herself overlooking a good chunk of the village. She was not alone either, as Cirven suddenly landed nearby. Trying to approach him, she also noticed Lilith down below. She was doing something strange... and then, chain made out of rather sharp looking chain shot at like a whip, headed right for the boy. In shock, the young girl jumped towards him, pushing his body to the side with all of her might. It was one way of making sure he wasn't hit by it. However, it came at a price. The chain instead connected with the girl's own neck, as her height was different from his. And with that one single motion, her body fell from the roof.

And while that landed in the dirt, her head still rolled up top, pool of blood swiftly shifting and creating a small line pouring down from the tiles. A horrific sight indeed, yes? But before Cirven could even blame himself for anything, a massive magical circle appeared in the skies, overlooking the entire village. And with it, unbelievable amount of magical energy that would make even S-ranked mages fall to their knees as the pressure was rather great. Along with it, a female voice would start speaking out loud seemingly from every single direction at once, similar to the whispers that could be heard earlier.

"Designated puppet confirmed dead before expiration date. Allowing access to rewind point #16. The puppeteer will now take full control to secure the puppet's well being."

As the mysterious voice finished, the girl's body and head would start rising to the skies, slowly melting into a mess of blood and skin. For a moment, she became nothing more than an organic mass of horrors.

The process was somewhat slow, but she would be eventually restored, her original body in one perfect piece descending back onto the battlefield. And with grace, she would place her feet onto the roof once more, the magical circle and it's power disappearing in an instant. With a wide smile, she would open her eyes once more to reveal two golden orbs looking down at the nightmare which was taken aback.

    What the hell was that?!

And Charlotte could only continue smiling. Of course this little child would be taken aback. Even her partner was surely surprised at the sight he just witness. Or perhaps even angry? All was possible in a place like this. The only thing that was for certain now, was the fact that the young White Witch was black. And strange purple crystals were starting to grow all over her body. She would also answer the Nightmare, though her voice was a bit different from before. Just like when she performed the analysis, it was completely devoid of emotion and said in perfect, understandable way.

"That was a Rewind Point. Saved data of time and space used in order to recreate the existence of being that had died when they should not have. Quite simple, yet effective. Would you not agree?"

The Nightmare Lilith vs Black Sails and Black Rose(Job,Charlotte) Empty Re: The Nightmare Lilith vs Black Sails and Black Rose(Job,Charlotte)

Post by Cirven 16th April 2017, 7:04 pm

Everything was going in some weird direction with this job he was on. He had dealt with all the illusionary toying that the young Lilith did to him as well as dealt with protecting a random girl who he found out was named Charlotte, a member of the Black Rose guild. He had never really done anything with Black Rose but he had heard of them from all of the travels he had around Earthland. If Charlotte was an example of how Black Rose members handled themselves and acted then he figured it was a pretty strange guild.

Speaking of his new companion, she found herself up on top of the building he was on which the sound of her coming up took his focus off of Lilith and his sister for a short time which caused the young murderer to quickly act with an attack at the distracted demon. Cirven's focus turned back to see the darkness chain swinging towards him and prepared himself to block or parry the attack but before he could Charlotte moved him out of the way and took the blow herself directly to her neck. She was instantly downed from the attack and fell off the top of the building. The dog demon looked at the body of the girl and realized that he had protected her all the time just for him to fail at doing it. The thought raged through his mind and caused him to quickly understand that he couldn't hold back against Lilith or whatever that was that was his sister. He had to defeat them both and prevent them from doing anything else to anyone. Sparks of black electricity sparked out from his body and around him showing his anger and his magical power but then he fell to his knees showing that the shock of it all affected him.

"Oh? Is the failure getting angry because his friend died? Is he going to cry and run away just like he did when I died by his hand?" Aayla spoke out in a mocking tone. Cirven didn't react to it and only continued to look at the fallen Charlotte in a puddle of her own blood. "Too obsessed with the new loss of life to even react? Pitiful." Aayla slowly moved towards the building and then leapt up top to it. "Don't worry. I'll take all that pain away for you now, brother." Aayla continued moving until she stood next to Cirven who still seemed to be in a trance. "Death will be your ultimate comfort from this world and I'll take your silence as a thank you for me providing you with the opportunity to die in this little game. Lilith wins,
    bro.
" Aayla's right arm became covered in her take over spell and she pulled her arm back in a position to stab through her own brother. A twisted grin came over her face as she threw her arm forward but before it could connect a purple aura came over Cirven's body and with a quick swipe her arm was removed from her body by the kneeling Cirven. "You don't know how this game works, do you?" He spoke and grabbed his sister by the throat where he slammed her body onto the top of the house and pushed her through it with him. The roof caved in around them and he slammed her into the floor and stared her into the eyes showing his dual eyes to her showing that he had little remorse. "This game I have been playing before and killed multiple different versions of you before because I did just what I am now and threw away every ounce of care for life that I have just to do it." Aayla's eyes grew fearful and Cirven reached back with his other arm while it was covered in the purple aura and formed his hand to a point. He then sent his arm through Aayla's chest while he grinned at her slightly. Aayla gasped out from the attack and Cirven let go of his grip around her throat. He then sent a small spark of electricity into the air above him and into the clouds. He stared down to what looked like his fallen sister and spoke more. "You aren't my sister at all. My sister was much stronger than that and you will never understand how." He then turned to his fallen enemy and made his way out of the building as a bolt of electricity struck through the hole in the roof and into Aayla destroying her. Cirven turned his head so that his red eye could look back at the destruction and saw bits of what looked like a burnt teddy bear covering the room. "Pathetic..."

The demon appeared back outside to see the area where Charlotte had been laying now did not have her body. He had been too into his battle with his fake sister to realize that Charlotte had been revived somehow. He only had figured this out by the young killer, Lilith yelling up at the top of the building he was just on where he saw Charlotte with purple crystals coming off from her body. He didn't care much about how she was alive but he was just happy she was alive. It was weird to him though because she felt completely different again to him. It was like she had multiple personalities or something. Then before he could question anything like Lilith a new darker tone of voice came out from Charlotte answering everything he could have asked. Did she have some sort of personality thing similar to him going on? He could not understand it but figured is she was alive that he could finish the job he was sent to do. "Charlotte or whoever you are now, we will talk later. Don't help me against my target and just stand back and watch." Cirven's eyes turned to Lilith who looked back at him as his body was enveloped in the purple aura again but this time the black electricity erupted out around him along with it. "You killed teddy! And she didn't stay dead! No fair! You are ruining my game! I make the rules! Mine! Mine! Mine!" Lilith screamed out in a fit of rage. "Sorry but if you die I then you deserve it for what you have done. Age doesn't matter here so lets finish this game." Cirven continued to seemingly power up while Lilith started to do the same with a black aura coming out around her. Multiple darkness chains came out from her body and all swung around the area hitting and destroying everything around her. Cirven was forced to quickly move around to dodge the constant attacks.

"My game! My game! MY GAME!!!" Lilith kept yelling out as she attacked the area and destroyed the building that Charlotte had been standing on from her attacks. The building was in bad shape before and was a wonder how it withstood a thunder bolt slamming into it before hand but it was now completely destroyed and caved in on itself leaving nothing but rubble and debris. Cirven took the chance while he was dodging to charge up a blast of black electricity and shot it out at Lilith which hit her and stunned her for a short time. The young girl did not stay down long which seemed like to be from pure rage that she accomplished that and she built up more darkness energy around her. With the power built up she quickly cast a spell that caused multiple darkness chains to shoot up from the ground under Cirven and stab through his arms, legs and body. The chains then started to move in different directions in an attempt to rip him apart. "You ruined my game so I will ruin you! I will rip you into pieces and then put you back together again as a new teddy!!!" Lilith smiled and grinned with her eyes held open wide to the sight of the demon being almost pulled apart by her. Cirven's head hung down as he was being held up and tugged at by the chains as if he was defeated but that was not the case.

"Is that your best shot? That would maybe defeat some weaklings but I'm not that type in any way. I let you hit me so that you would have some fun before I finish this.
Thank me after if you live.
" Almost as easily as the chains had stabbed through his body and held him up, Cirven pulled them all back towards him with his strength until they broke and the spell was broken with it leaving Lilith in shock. "That.. That..
    That's no fair!
" The young girl stuttered a bit before yelling out. "Not much is fair." He glared at her ready to finish their battle and his job.

The Nightmare Lilith vs Black Sails and Black Rose(Job,Charlotte) Empty Re: The Nightmare Lilith vs Black Sails and Black Rose(Job,Charlotte)

Post by Charlotte 17th April 2017, 2:36 am

Chaos. A power created by melding two elements of opposite aspect together, creating an uncontrollable destructive force that was never meant to exist. The opposite of order that everyone loved so dearly. Both aspects were needed to sever the chains of reality that were holding the White Witch down. Chains formed by Margery and her first children. In order to make sure that not another being capable of controlling chaos itself was born in the future, these limiters were set in place. It was quite genius, really. No mortal mind could properly comprehend aspect of sealing magic like that. And even if they could, there would be no way for them to properly lift the curse that affected the girl's very core. However, no one would ever expect an omnipotent force like Seth to get involved. Capable of bringing the young witch back no matter how many times she would die, he was slowly chipping away at the seal. And now, only one single piece remained. The most tainted one, an eternal sin of the first White Witch Margery. Black arts - magic of evil. Not even darkness, but simply black.

"Today we shall awaken. This ought to make an interesting story indeed."

The possessed puppet seemingly talked to herself as Cirven, her temporary partner finally emerged from the building somewhat still in one piece. Though it was clear that he missed the whole show of the girl's body melting into primal elements, only to be assembled again. A cruelty of Rewind Point and it's horrific nature. As one would have it, gods didn't like exposing their scary secrets too soon. But even if the truth would one day surface and be exposed to the minds of others, what would it change? Absolutely nothing, for it was all already done and finished. Nothing anyone could do about it, really. Though this situation was way more amusing than others. The dog demon down below... he was already involved without even knowing it. But in his blind rage and wrath, he did not notice. That grin the snow haired girl had plastered on her face... those peering golden eyes that easily pierced one's soul... they were the same as Lilith's. No, it was only right to call him the Observer in here, as that was the name Charlotte gave him. Lilith was nothing more than named given to him by Noheme, goddess soon to be forgotten.

Well, as much as Seth would love to relish this moment longer, they had to get a move on. After all, Cirven survived the merciless assault on his body and brok apart the chains of darkness. He was ready to end this, perhaps not even remembering that he was meant to bring the murderer back alive. Or maybe he did? Charlotte's puppeteer was hers alone and did not have this kind of insight. Not yet anyway. Not that it was necessary by any means, as they had their own plans. The dog demon had to realize that this job, mission and contract were all for the sake of the young White Witch. Not him. A sudden tremor, an earthquake of sorts would signify the coming change. Powerful white aura was seeping from Charlotte's body as the reality shift started up once again. Before, the girl was not 'awake' enough to create any proper changes, resulting in simply strange temporary anomaly that affected nearby area. But this time, it would be complete. Uncontrolled, but still complete. A vortex of clouds would soon form itself above the village and a city started descending from it's center. City made out of tall skyscrapers made in modern style. An upside down city in the skies, almost appearing ready to fall onto their heads.

"I am afraid the girl is last part of Charlotte's awakening. I will have you step aside for now. You may do whatever you will with her once I am finished."

Saying those words, the puppet would extend her hands in Cirven's direction as the solid ground beneath him suddenly vanished. Both he and Nightmare Lilith were now falling into what appeared to be a sea of liquid meat some way below them. Some buildings that were around disappeared completely, others transformed into tall pillars of solid white iron sticking from the endless sea of pink gore. But one of the two would not fall into it. The little child was grabbed by a chain of purple and black crystals, tasting her own medicine for a moment as she was pulled onto the same pillar where the Golden eyed Witch stood. Her landing on a solid piece of iron was not exactly pleasant and at this point, she was even more beat up than when she first appeared. Well, something like that was quite natural. After all, she had already lost. And yet, here she was, getting up as fast as she could only so that the dark aura could envelop her small frame again, shooting our more chains that not too long ago severed the other girl's head. Perhaps she hoped for the same result once more to pass. But this time, Seth was in control. And they were no interested in such a result. The black blades on the girl's hand quickly parried the chains, shattering them into magical particles with quite the ease.

"Please, you already know how this will end, do you not? Nightmare Lilith, this is the end of your story I am afraid. But there is no need to feel unsatisfied. The darkness inside of you is nearly perfect stimulant for awakening. And then, the curse of Chaos shall reign supreme once more."

Those emotionless words, they forced Lilith to start backing away slowly, shaking. Cirven with his great power of lightning was one thing. But someone who could revive themselves and even transfer them all into a different world altogether? Yes, at this point she really did realize it was over, even with that childish mind of her own. And yet, it was precisely that which did not allow her to just give up. Clenching her teeth with brute force, she would swing her hand to the side in attempt to summon yet another chain of darkness. But Seth was faster, already anticipating such movement. A sharp sting and a look to her left, revealing to the Nightmare that her arm has been severed by the crystal blade. And as her heart pumped, the blood from inside of her veins would quickly splatter onto Charlotte's already dirty attire and skin. From that point, all else was irrelevant. Lilith would stumble to the side and fall off the pillar, soon to swim in the sea of meat as well. And the White Witch? She was now surrounded in a pitch-black aura, empowering her greatly. Something even worse than darkness... the black itself. Magic of death, magic of void. It was hard to define something like this in words different from 'evil'. Life and Death, two necessary components of Chaos that the White Witch could bring about. Margery was probably turning in her grave right now.

But there was absolutely nothing a cold corpse could do about this now. In the end, this was bound to happen for the sole fact of her having children that inherited her powers. But that aside, Seth's desire has been accomplished. Charlotte's powers were stimulated with her own demise and blood that was filled with darkness. Now, all that had to be done was to teach the girl how to control these powers, teach her about pain and suffering, but also about love and caring. That, however, was a task for another day. Having control over the dimensional shift, the puppet would snap her fingers as the wold around them started returning to it's original state, the sea of meat disappearing into nothingness only for all present to be placed onto a dirty ground once more. The pillars of white iron returned to being houses of wood and stone. And finally, the city in the skies faded back into the vortex of clouds, which dissipated into nothingness too. In nothing more than few seconds, the reality was back to how it should be. Nothing out of the ordinary, perhaps except for the child that was missing one of her arms, bleeding on the ground and swaying in pain. But she was Cirven's now. He was free to do whatever he wanted.

"As was promised, you are free to do whatever you want with her. Enjoy."

And with those words, that creepy smile of hers, along with the golden eyes disappeared. Falling to the ground, Charlotte remained motionless for few moments before turning around and trying to get up again, rubbing her eyes as she did so, visibly tired.

"Huh... did I fall asleep somewhere strange again...?"

The Nightmare Lilith vs Black Sails and Black Rose(Job,Charlotte) Empty Re: The Nightmare Lilith vs Black Sails and Black Rose(Job,Charlotte)

Post by Cirven 17th April 2017, 1:19 pm

Just before the demon could react and deal with Lilith finally something got in his way. He was not in the mood at all for being stopped and because of this he sent a dark glare towards his temporary companion or that was at least what he thought of her at this point. Charlotte somehow was able to warp reality again but this time she did so without screaming out and instead there was a grin plastered over her face and Cirven noticed her eyes were now yellow. The ground beneath him was changed into a hole made out of some sort of meaty/fleshy walls. Cirven was able to fly while using his ability with electromagnetism so he did so to prevent himself from falling into the fleshy walls that now surrounded him. Even the buildings around them changed drastically into something else. the whole scene bothered him because of how easily it looked to be done. "This is getting annoying now but I don't think I can do anything to stop whatever is controlling you from doing what you want, can I?" Cirven questioned the possessed Charlotte and knew he would not get any sort of answer. He remembered back to when he dealt with a being who could control reality and shape it into anything they wanted. The Miracle Demon known as and was another 'Lilith' could do so and when Cirven was brought against him all he could do was watch as the being did whatever it wanted to. He wanted to attack it but even with Noheme and him working together they would not have amounted to much at all against something that could possibly just rewrite reality so that they did not exist suddenly. They were completely at this Lilith's whim and he had to just suck up his pride as he was forced to deal with watching Noheme's lover and partner die suddenly from a decision she made even though he tried to tell her to go against doing it.

Everything felt too familiar to him because even the power he felt around him felt like the proclaimed 'Taker of Names', Lilith. It did not matter though because he had decided to just watch anyway because whatever had possessed Charlotte had said that he would get Nightmare Lilith when they were done. He had little choice in the matter but he agreed that Charlotte or whoever it was should get some sort of revenge on the young murderer for hurting her earlier. He only really knew that Charlotte was hurt by Lilith and not that Charlotte was actually dead and then revived. He thought that Charlotte was healed somehow but just decided to not delve too deep into it at all as he watched what was going on around ten feet in front of him. The young Lilith tried to attack her enemy but was quickly dealt with and literally disarmed by the possessed Charlotte who almost seemed to bathe in the blood that came from Lilith.

With everything seemingly done, the world around them reverted back to how it was and the possessed Charlotte spoke to him and offered Lilith to him before Charlotte's body went limp and fell to the ground near the other now unconscious, girl. All he could think about was the thing that possessed Charlotte spoke about an awakening for Charlotte over and over like they were conducting some sort of ritual or something. This made the demon come to the conclusion that Charlotte was somehow made to go to the ruined village or even brought there somehow in order to fulfill this ritual for the being that possessed her but there was an even bigger question that needed to be answered; what did this 'ritual' achieve? He did not know how he would get that answer but he knew that he had two young girls who were laying on the ground unconscious, one of which he needed to secure so that she could be taken to the Magic Council so that she could get help.

He made his way to the now arm-less girl and ripped off some of his shirt so that he could use it to cover up her wound and then picked her up over his shoulder while retrieving her severed limb. He knew that him walking around with the girl over his shoulder was a bad idea in any city but there were some Rune Knights stationed nearby for him to give the girl to. He had only one last thing to do before that though and that was talk to the now woken up Charlotte.

"Do you remember me at all? You have a lot of things going on with you that you probably do not know even happens to you. Some pretty unworldly things." He looked towards the girl and continued talking. "Look, I need to get this girl to some Rune Knights nearby. If you want you can come with me and I'll make sure you are not harmed by anything on the way. This ruined village isn't the best place after all."

The Nightmare Lilith vs Black Sails and Black Rose(Job,Charlotte) Empty Re: The Nightmare Lilith vs Black Sails and Black Rose(Job,Charlotte)

Post by Charlotte 17th April 2017, 1:47 pm

It was only natural that the young girl was rather dazed after all that happened. She just seemingly woke up to find a demolished, yet sunny village. The dark clouds and black mist that surrounded this place previously quickly disappeared as if to show that the Nightmare which was plaguing this place was indeed defeated. This concluded Cirven's mission, so that he could return and get his reward. While Charlotte would rub her eyes some more and then look at the boy, a smile quickly forming on her face. A smile that was normal for a girl her age, for this was her true and free self, not one bound by an omnipotent force from another world.

"I see, you managed to complete your mission when I was asleep. I'm very sorry that I fell asleep just like that Mister Mizune, it kinda happens from time to time. But everything is well, Seth would not let anyone harm me when I'm in Dreamland! Before, Seth said I had to be here for the story to move forward. But now they say I should return to Black Rose, so I will! I can find my way from here so you don't have to worry. As I said, Seth would never let anything hurt me~"

She tried to reply to the men as best as she possibly could. Her clothes were a mess, mixture of dried blood and mud covering nearly the entirety of what was once a pure white sweater with a skirt. Not that she would need these clothes for all that much longer. The puppeteer already managed to awaken her power and the learning process of using it would be a long one surely. She will need something much more fitting the title of White Witch once that is done, so this outfit which would remind them of a bloody past could be easily thrown away. Waving one more time at Cirven, the girl would turn around herself and start running away from the village, smiling brightly and completely ignorant to the fact that captured Lilith was injured quite a bit, missing an entire arm. Well, that was the nature of blissful ignorance. Something that was slowly changing.
