Heero walked with a large backpack, and bedroll tied to it. His footsteps treaded across the Grasslands; west from Magnolia.
A soft pair of paws wrapped around his head as an 'Exceed paw noise' was heard as Heero's expression looked upward happily. Garfield smiled back down towards him wordlessly; extremely happy with him.
They'd just been through so much....
'Flashes of his battle with Lichborne alongside Shuhei, the White Dragon Slayer, Magnolia under attack, spells exploding everywhere; the aftermath. Everyone returning to the town; their souls and minds all pouring towards rebuilding their lost homes. Thousands of people..rebuilding.'
Perhaps he was a Hero, and deserved some praise for his hand in defeating Lichborne and saving Magnolia from annihilation at the hands of the Magic Council. He could've even been Guild Master if he'd wanted with Leonard's disappearance.
He almost laughed aloud at the thought as he continued to treck through the hilly Grasslands. Eventually; he caught sight of a glittering stream up ahead as his Orange Exceed bobbed and swayed his tail in excitement; Heero already knew what he was thinking.
Hopefully, Ebony was handeling herself well as Guild Master.
It was sad, she was only fifteen and he was twenty-one; yet he trusted her maturity more than his own. Oh well, it was for the best. Hopefully the Star Fairy could live up to the name Guild Master of Fairy Tail; he had the utmost faith in her. When he returned home; he'd hopefully be bringing a trail of Glory that he spread all around Fiore in Fairy Tail's good name behind him.
Leaving Magnolia behind for the citizens to rebuild; leaving Fairy Tail behind....Serene.
"Aye! Stop walking!" Garfield popped him in the head repeatedly with his paws with several Exceed paw noises as he repeatedly bashed Heero atop the head.
"Eh?!" Heero finally looked up annoyed out of his daze at his cat as Garfield continued to bash him. He looked down at the last possible moment; and went into a comical flail at the edge of the water; the weight of his backpack and bedroll tipping him a bit as he went falling halfway in and pulling his now soaked sandaled feet out of the water. "Whew you could've warned me!" he complained and barked, pulling himself up out of the water hilariously, throwing his legs back up on to shore.
"I did! I attacked you!"
"You call that an attack?!"
"Aye!", Garfield on his head, did a Superman pose at this point, one paw raised in salute, the other on his hip as comical twinkles spun all around him.
"....." an anime sweatdrop appeared on the back of Heero's head as he continued to walk, alongside the river.
Eventually he started seeing people in boats, fishing; wearing netted fisherman's hats with boats full of bait; some merely cruised on their raft or canoe; sleeping lazily with their hats over their faces. The sunlight sparkling off of the water, all of these peoples fishing.
As he continued to walk; he heard loud splashes. Looking to his right across the river, he saw children cannonballing into the sparkling river.
"This place seems fun! Where are we?!"
"You just started walking west without knowing where you're going?!"
"Aye!" Heero said comically with a huge white smile, eyes closed as he opened both arms to the sun in salute.
".........." Garfield this time in vice-versa got a huge sweatdrop on his head as they continued to venture forth up the river. "According to the map; we're getting near Peace Village!" Garfield said, busting out a map from seemingly nowhere after opening and digging into Heero's backpack at anime speed. "Their fish! It's gonna be so good! We need to hurry!" Garfield said, looking up from the map and pointing a mighty orange paw forward while riding on Heero's head.
"What am I your noble steed?!" Heero barked, complaining up at his eccentric orange Exceed as he looked upward, orange paws clashing with his blue hair fiercely.
"Aye! It took you all these years to figure that out just now?" Garfield crossed his arms in a dignified manner.
A banter of anime yelling lines would be seen between the two as the camera zoomed out and lifted upwards into the shining sun and blue skies, showing Peace Village up ahead about a minute or two ahead of them.
