Eoduun was almost finished going through some of the folders he had sneakily picked up from the Guild's archive. He wanted to read on the Guild's administrations and things that revolved around it, so that he could help out Leona in better ways. It was a fairly boring read, but it was something that he had signed up for. And he wasn't going to chicken out. The mage sighed with relief after he closed the last folder. It was a mess, but he believed that some improvements could be made. He wasn't going to get ahead of himself, though. Everything would be completed in due time. Until then, Eoduun needed to return the folder back where he picked them up from.
The mage was walking down the corridor with an armful of folders in his hands, on his way to the underground archive. He was about to head downstairs, when one of the Guild assistants stopped him. "Um, hello Mr. Saarinen. There have been letters delivered for the Guild members, one with your name on it." She said meekly as she handed him the envelope. The boy looked down on the pile of folders he was carrying. "Would you mind opening it and reading it for me? My hands are full." Eoduun requested of the girl who turned slightly red. "A-are you sure? It's from the Magical Council, it seems very official." She stuttered a little as she replied. "Just do it." Eoduun sighed and the girl hastily opened the envelope and took out the letter from within. "It says that the Council is gathering mages across Fiore, to stop an invasion force form an another world. They appear through portals that can open anywhere, so they suggest securing Guild grounds as first course of action and then helping out with getting rid of the invaders whereever it is needed." The girl summed up the letter and looked up the Ace. The mage hummed to himself in thought. "I'll return these to the archive. I don't really worry about our Guild grounds, as we have a protective shield and spirit wolves to guard us. But I think that securing surrounding areas would prove useful." The girl nodded in understandement. "That being said, please go find Aspen and let her know that I request her to go to Peace village. It is one of the closest landmarks to our Guild and since we are kind of neighbours, it falls to us to provide them with any help they need. I'm pretty sure that Aspen herself has a letter addressed to her from the Council." Eoduun explained and the girl nodded again as she went through the letters, confirming that there was a letter for Aspen aswell. It seemed like a good idea, to go take care of this issue as a mentor and his mentee. He reckoned that both of them would benefit from fighting alongside one another. "Very well, we have our tasks. Thanks for your help." Eoduun thanked the Guild staff and the girl just awkwardly bowed in appreciation and ran off to complete the errand.
The Ace just quickly dropped off the folders, letting the archivist do the rest. In fact, they requested that the putting the folders back process be done by them and Eoduun didn't argue. It was for the best. The boy sprinted back to his room and threw on the usual suspects - black jeans and jacket and the like. Soho perked up at the sudden commotion. "To Peace Village. There's some invaders or something again." Eoduun quickly explained and the bird nodded and flew out through the door. The boy quickly followed his bird companion outside, leaving the chained artifact behind this time. Eoduun ran the whole way to the Village, exhausting himself quite a bit. As soon as he reached the first houses on the outskirts of the Village he stopped to catch his breath. He felt incredibly hot, which made him want to take off his jacket, but he knew better. As he was breathing heavily, he looked around. There wasn't anything happening quite yet, but at the time it felt like the calm before a storm. He hoped that Aspen was closely behind him and would get to the Village before anything bad happened.
