I am the Dragon Knight
Honor and Shame from no condition rise; Act well your part, there all honor lies
The sound of Ravana's exasperation echoed through the bar as the young woman entered the door way. In an exaggerated sigh of relief she found herself gathering attention from everyone while strutting a step up to the bar. Her hunched shoulders, sluggish steps and shut eyes helped in the indication that she was quite exhausted from her trip. She had not been at it all day, but the heat of the mid day had broken a sweat even from the most unlikely of heroes.
Anticipating a cold drink she was a little concerned when she was instead greeted by an array of expressions. They differed between intimidating, to cold shoulder; either way it was not a comforting feeling and the mage showed her disgust in return. Sitting down at the full bar she wondered what they had against her, she could tell that most were mages, but even then, none were like the ones she hunted. Preferring not to bother with the common like she turned head and faced the biased server asking for a simple ale to wet her tongue.
With her fingers now wrapped around a chilled pint she relaxed knowing that she was one step further, but felt disgruntled in her disappointment for today. The least that the Grand Saint could do was point in her in the right direction! Sure she had a solid plan, but it didn't allow alot of room for enjoyment. Ravana would see the land alright, but she would soon miss the taste of food and feel of a bath. Not every where she stopped had access to those things.
Coming from Hargeon she had a difficult time even making it here before the sun fell. Just this morning the knight was rummaging among old rubble and asking the townspeople about the guild of Lamia Scale. Once a strong and proud guild, they began to dwindle, and Ravana saw that they in fact did not possess the one she sought after whole-heartedly. After spending a few minutes among the shops to restock the mage's supplies before heading out. Apparently the map and information she possessed from her homes library was really outdated, because according to the paper, there is not even a town here!
Perking up she greeted the tavern host, a young male that wiped away at clean glasses and smirked in her direction.
"Excuse me, but where am I exactly? What town in this?"
Her question seemed to spark a bit of curiosity from more than the bar keep, and Ravana bit her lips gently as a nervous tic. Before the bartender could answer her question, someone had already leaped at the bait and a gruff voice echoed in her left ear.
"Talonia, a place among mages. True that the town used to not be here, but due to the growing populace, it has become an attraction to all kinds... Like you with your sword."
Crimson eyes flashed to the man that sat beside her, the man who had answered her question and eyed her blade greedily. It was easy to place the expressions now, they were all glutton to see what she had in her bags. Worthless scum that would take from those that it worse already because they feel entitled. Ravana grit her teeth, finished her drink quickly and flicked a coin at the bar keep before turning around.
"Thank you for the information, I will be taking my leave now." She simply said before sliding off of the stool. While she was a female, the knight was anything but small and frail. Not necessarily a giant, but she towered over most girls. The 5'10" woman could be seen as an intimidating sight, especially when she single handily wielded the large bastard sword that remained sheathed on her back.
Pushing her red hair off of her shoulder she gave the man a scowling look, things were going to progress in one of two ways, and his responsive glance would tell her which. In a grim look, he reminded her of the evil of men, and the egotistical thinking that led to trouble. With a heavy sigh she stepped outside, it would be better not to cause problems in the establishment, she meant no harm to those she did not intend.
Walking out of the bar, she looked up at the sky, quite pleased with the view she grinned slightly before feeling a weighted hand come to push on her back. Here is where it began, she thought before turning her torso to get a good look at the person who interrupted her peaceful night.
