Tap, tap.
The cacophony of heels grazing, quite impatiently, against the marble floor of the hall arose quite a commotion as a sigh wafted along, elicited from the rosiness of a pair of lips. The genesis of this, rather, anxious display of tapping attracted a few eyes; irritable at first, albeit, soon transformed into one of fascination as the gazes scrutinized the source of the clamor.
There, stood, a young lady. Locks of golden lay elegantly sprawled across her back and shoulders, as they weaved in a wavy manner, resembling the stunning arrays of the waters of the sea. Coupled with that, lay a headband; intricate patterns of an array of luminesce stars as the locks in front, partitioned slightly; the overall look of her hair, graciously pleasing to the eye. Descending forth, cerulean hues glistered within the luminous radiance of the lights that descended below; illuminating the entire vicinity, concurring an opulent ambience upon which, the sapphire hues soared across; an incandescent glint, vivid, within her turquoise optics.
Upon her lithe frame, lay an attire; its specter a monotonous shade of black and white however, the silver that intricated it coupled, with the net of black as a skirt added an allure to the so called, dress; falling a little above the ivory of her knees as the dress fabricated an aura of enticement from the light-blonde haired female. Corresponding the opaqueness of the skirt were the heels she adorned upon her feet; they were mere sandals decorated in yet again, black and silver. Establishing a finale to the look were the silver painted bracelet upon her right hand and hoop earrings upon her ears. Suffice to say, her typical adolescent appearance had been transformed into a façade of enchanting allure tilted upon that of an elegant young lady. However, the warmth in her heart yet, remained transfixed upon her naïve and effervescent behavior.
But, something was off. The usual animatedly enthusiastic countenance upon her visage was now, disguised by slight uneasiness displayed by the consistent tapping of her heels, the twiddling of her fingers and the grazing of her teeth upon her lower lip. Time that the she would have utilized to marvel at the ostentatiously lavish room with its coruscating display of bright lights, polished marble floors, heavenly assortment of edible elements, glamorously dressed people of all ages and origins and the like. However, Zoe’s attention was upon none of that. In fact, it remained captivated within the thoughts of one mere person; Jayce Iscariot. A mere ring of his name through her mind rapidly, elevated her heart beat; it clearly, signified that the blonde female held immense feelings of adoration for the man as her eyes lightly clouded over, engrossed within his thoughts.
Upon hearing of the ball, a thrilled Zoe had taken the initiative to invite the man who had stolen her heart, so he could accompany her to the ball. Alas, it was no easy feat for hours of convincing and adorable puppy dog eyes was what finally, had fed the man up and made him agree to arrive at the ball. However, the slight trepidation of him not showing up was still a chance and that was what Zoe feared. Hence, the reason for her paucity of vitality during this boisterous occasion as she waited for him to appear; impatience spewn across her face.
I hope he comes soon. Until he arrived, however, she glided her sapphire hues across the massive vicinity; a light smile encompassing her rosy lips at the lively ambience and at the antics of the people situated within the hall as a chuckle emanated from her lips at the sight of the guild master of Sabertooth herself, Raven flocked with note-worthy men engaging in a battle for the first dance. Truly, an outlet for amusement.
“Poor Raven.”It would indeed, be an enjoyable evening. However, for Zoe, that would not come to pass until Jayce had made his presence known. Albeit, the light-blonde could interact with the crowd and drown herself within the jocular atmosphere; however, the hollowness of his presence would still entrap her rendering her to not have the best time she could. So, she stood, eagerly awaiting his presence whilst witnessing the onslaught of hysterics that accompanied the lot present in the hall.
Well, this ‘ought to be a fun ball.
