Alyia Nystrom Words @Angel of Luck |
Alyia's eyes were closed as she stood in the center of the crowd. Fear rushing over her skin, raising goose bumps from the pale skin. She hadn't heard her name from Cirven's lips, becoming deaf from the fear. In her frozen trans she didn't fight as the blue haired mage picked her up and piggy backed her from the crowd. She had buried her head into his shoulder arms wrapping loosely around his neck. Her fear was still coursing though her body and she didn't notice anyone or anything but the man who had saved her from the crowd. As he put her down she clung to the cloak the was still over her shoulders. As warmth embraced her form her eyes opened and she saw the shirt of Cirven, he had saved her from the crowd. She buried her face into his chest and hugged him back. This time he had saved her when she couldn't save herself. Their hugs lasted for a couple more moments before the angel pulled away with red cheeks and looked at the people that were now surrounding them. With wide eyes she stuttered, the only people that she knew right now were Venir and Cirven. "H-hello." The fluster that was in her voice coming from the blush that decorated her pale cheeks from not only being carried, but from also being embraced in front of others. It was a first for her. Deniel was always so secretive about it and Allen rarely did it as he feared drinking her blood. "N-no Cirven is being a gentleman, even though he keeps calling this a date... which it is not." Her flustered personality took a 180 and she smacked the man that stood next to her. "It was an excuse to get him out of trouble." But it was then that she caught the sight of her parnter. "Venir!" The name of her best friend slipped from her lips as she took the older girl in a hug, her two inches now evident above the guild master. Venir might have been in a conversation but the guild master could not careless as she hugged the girl. |

Re: The Grand Ball
raven,
let’s go back home
Raven was unaware of the deep trance some faraway memory put her under. Had she known, she probably would have avoided carelessly walking straight into a wall. But luckily the pain around her forehead helped her get her thoughts gathered in one place again and for an instant, she wondered where she was. Why was it so bright and noisy around her? Oh right! She had hosted a ball for all the legal mages in Fiore. ‘How could I forget? Was I not so excited for it?’ she groaned in her head and leaned back against the wall she had walked into. The phenomena that caused her thoughts to scatter so much; what was it? She had completely fallen into another world while wandering the guild like a ghost without memories.
Fred; Film after film of what happened finally wrapped around the woman’s memories and she gave a soft squeal before thrusting her face into the hard wall, pounding it with her fist as she recalled what had made her heart tremble so much. She had welcomed her guests and then the new Blue Pegasus guild master had appeared out of nowhere, asked her for a dance and then a Fairy Tail mage just came dancing along. In the end, all she could remember was dancing with Fred and then everything was blank for the young woman who wanted nothing more than to throw a tantrum and command her emotions to stop overflowing so much.
However, ultimately, she decided to roam around the guild a bit more, anything as long as it could help her think well. She crossed the long hallways, the bar and the long floor of the ballroom, noticing familiar faces here and there. She must come back and have a chat with everyone after getting everything within her settled. It was not nice for the host to be absent for too long in her own party, now was it?
And it was these thoughts that she bore until coming to a stop right behind the wall of a balcony’s entrance. A soft voice had muttered her name from outside which Raven faintly picked up as she was passing along. It was familiar, probably someone she had met not too long ago? She wondered and peeked around the wall, finding long silver tresses and…the bunny girl? That was Sasha, wasn’t it? And she was talking to…Fred?! Suddenly, she was interested in whatever they were conversing about. It had been about her, right? And she blushed when the woman had mentioned her…her…ugh how could she?! To Fred nonetheless! That woman was so getting fried after this!

Re: The Grand Ball
Kite instructed Riley on how to to dance but within moments of her reaching her arms around up to his shoulders and then around his neck she had begun to follow his lead with the steps of the dance all the while
Keeping a smile on her face showing that she was having a great time. This made Kite smile back as he lead the dance just lightly having his hips and his body be what Riley would match swaying to the beat. A sly grin appeared on his face when he noticed "well look at that, not only can you dance well but you manage to maintain your graceful moves all while wearing those heels. Color me impressed " he said to her as the beat of their slow song that they had been dancing to softened even further and soon was replaced the the thumps of a much faster song, a song which slow dance moves wouldn't be able to match.
He looked around as he saw most people who were also slow dancing with their partners adapted to the new song and began to dance in a faster motion but soon looked back down at Riley who stated that they can't slow dance on a song like this and began to part from her position. Kite released the his own grip from around her waist and stood there in place for a moment with his date and smiled at her. "you're right, but it figures that the DJ would switch it up right as we were getting in our groove " he said to her as they both stood in the middle of the dance floor and were on of the few couples no dancing. Riley made a remark about how slaying dragons were easier than dancing. Kite heard what she said but didn't have it processed before Riley spotted the bar and mentioned that she wanted to go over to it and that she was thirsty. Kite nodded and offered his hand to her, looking to lead her around the dancers to their destination. Upon reaching the bar he looked at Riley and then back at the bartender "I'll take a beer " Kite said and turned to Riley, " what would you like to get?" he asked her while turning to face her again but shortly after looking at her his eyes drifted up and out into the ballroom, something was giving him a bad feeling, like someone was playing with the dead.

When Kenpachi was walking around the place, he saw various people. All or most of which he had never met before. But, since these people were legal mages, he had nothing to worry about. Unless of course someone defected.
But I don't think that's going to be happening sometime soon. Anyways, the stoner walked around and saw some of the finest things he had ever seen in his life. The finest clothes, finest decorations, all that crap. But to be honest, Kenpachi was starting to feel bored after a while. I guess that's what you get when you don't see action in a while.
The druggie struggled to remember why he actually decided to even go to this dance: Was it to show off his shit? Was it to find something or someone? Or was it to fight something? I honestly don't know the answer, Kenpachi thought. I might find it sooner or later, but it doesn't look like I'll be finding it right now. Or anytime soon for that matter.
Kenpachi thought it would be a good idea if he just stayed on the sidelines for now. He decided to lean against a wall, bored as shit. He then took a flask out of his coat pocket, but decided against drinking it because he had made a pact to stay clean.

Re: The Grand Ball
"Eh?!" Blue's face flushed a shade of red after Shuhei referred to him mockingly as "lover boy". Lucky had since dismounted his companion's head and was now standing next to him holding a paw over his mouth to barely stifle his laughter. "I'm not-..." But before he could even object the White Wizard put on his charm and whisked Anastasia away, leaving him standing there with a slightly embarrassed look on his face. His only response to Shuhei mentioning he looked forward to seeing him again? "...right." His Exceed partner couldn't help it anymore and let out a loud, "Ahahaha!~" which prompted a death glare from the young Mage that almost instantly shut him up. Blue gave one last glance towards Ana before rolling his eyes and scratching the back of his head. "Whatever...I'm hungry again, anyway." His cheeks still held a slight rosy tint as turned around and began making his way towards the food table. Lucky patted his tummy with his paw as he watched his companion make his way through the crowd. He'd already eaten a fish the same size as him but- "I could go for some more tuna..." ...yeah, that. The duo had no clue when they'd next be able to eat like this...so they had to take advantage while they could!
Unfortunately for them, it looked like continuing their feast would have to wait. Blue's mind was still very much occupied by a certain someone so he wasn't paying attention to where he walked. On his way back to the table he collided with a brown-haired man, snapping him out of his imagination and putting an immediate frown on his face. "Watch where you're going, pal-...!!" his eyes fell upon a red Guild Mark...the same mark he bore over his heart. Blue looked up at the taller Mage, arching an eyebrow as he did so. "You're Fairy Tail?" he asked bluntly, looking him over. Lucky had since caught up and was just as confused as his partner. They'd never seen Zecarayus around the Guild Hall before so he was probably a newbie. Either way, he seemed to be in a bit of a hurry to get somewhere. Was he in trouble? Blue and Lucky might not have known the guy but if a fellow Guildie needed their help, they'd give it without a second thought. "What the hell's going on?" was all he asked, finally noticing the guards posted in various positions around the Ball. This was an informal event, right? So why the hell would they need security for a bunch of Mages -- some of whom were insanely strong? This didn't sit right with him.
Not at all.

Re: The Grand Ball
Zecarayus navigated his way into the crowd, deciding whether it was best to either find his guild or to run out of the ball entirely. The guards were still looking for him, although they were slowly becoming aware that they were looking for a fairy tail member. Ok, so if I can find my guild I can plan something- Zecarayus was interrupted by colliding into Blue. Zecarayus must have overlooked him, an easy thing due to his height. "Ah sorry.." he said, and wanted to end the conversation there as he had no idea who this was, then the stranger demanded if he was fairy tail. This prompted zecarayus to flee, but then the exceed flew onto his master's shoulder. Iv'e seen that cat before, yes in the guild!
Zecarayus looked around fast around him, it seems the guards were not alerted by him bumping into the new guy, so it was probably safe to say that he wasn't with sabertooth. "Ok who are you and why do you care about what is happening with me?" He asked urgently and quietly, although he made it so that it appeared he was introducing himself to others that looked, or atleast tried too.

"Those who do not fear power, are too easily destroyed by it."
"Humans are the biggest monsters. How else can you explain a dragon's need to burn down their homes, a demon's need to slaughter them, or a god's attempt at brainwashing them to devote loyalty? It is because we have the greatest chance to destroy them with whatever else gets in our way, and slayers are not the only method how."-Zecarayus Trevelean

((OOC:Maaan, I am so sorry for the late reply. I've been travelling and had failed to keep up with current events and posts))
((EDIT (31/8 ) Redid the post to fit the current events.))
Before she could answer, a guard had asked Zecarayus to leave and head to his superiors. She blinked for a while before nodding and turning back to the balcony railing. Even though she was a little curious to know why he had to see his superiors, she kept her mouth shut, knowing that this was someone else's guild and she definitely didn't have the right to question the one who ordered it. Stroking Astrid slowly, she looked down below, focusing on the ground to pass the time somehow. A slow way definitely, but for Serena, nothing was too slow a way to pass her time.

Re: The Grand Ball
Cirven let go of Alyia once he thought she was better. He was still flustered after doing that in front of so many people, most of which he didn't know. It was something he never really did with Raven or even with his own sister so naturally he was not used to it at all. He hoped no one would get the wrong idea at all from them hugging that way and would somehow be able to look over it. It had seemed that way when Kiersa spoke but he knew the woman to be the type to not delve too deep into anyone's business unless it was needed.
His ears twitched when the Ace of Sabertooth spoke of him being a blasphemous heathen. He smirked back at Kiersa. "Least I have clothes outside the color or white, Snow White..." He called her by a name he had not said in over a year which somewhat triggered old memories for him with the Holy Tempest team.
Alyia then defended him saying that he was being a gentlemen the whole night to which his grin got a bit more cocky hearing. This only lasted a short few seconds as she then commented on him calling their time together a date and then slapping him in the chest lightly with a sort of spin. He chuckled a bit from the slap as he flinched a little. "You can't say you haven't had fun GM."
His attention was then taken off from Alyia as she went over and found Venir close to them. He still didn't notice her with how everyone seemed to block her from his view. Kiersa had mentioned if they had noticed him yet. He looked at her confused for a few seconds and then remembered where he was. "Oh! I'm guessing they would know something at this point. I'm surprised they had not confronted me yet themselves."

The girl that Julius almost bumped into gave Julius a smile but it looked like she was busy so Julius decided to walk back. He then heard the girl thanking him.
As Julius was walking around a bit more he heard someone asking who he was and why he cared so much about him. It was a familiar voice it was Zecarfayus's voice. Well that's because you are my friend Zecarayus-kun. Julius said with a smile as he turned around to face Zecarayus. But it appeard Zecrayus wasn't talking to Julius but to someone else. Julius couldn't help but to see that Zecarayus was worried. Julius walked towards to Zecarayus and asked. Is everything alright Zecarayus-kun? You look like as if you've seen a ghost.

(((OOC: Its fine, but now zecarayus had to leave serana because ST does not like necromancy apparantly, and zecarayus is on the run from them right now. You can find this info in earlier posts.)))
Zecarayus waited for an answer...which there was no time for. One of the guards saw zecarayus and alerted a couple of others which were headed toward him and blue. Crap he thought to himself, and then julius showed up! Zecarayus was pleased to see him, but at the same he had to move now. "Allright I need to get out of here now, julius follow us to keep track of the guards." he asked of him while zecarayus pulled blue's wrist up the stairs toward the balcony level. His goal was to make the jump off the guild and land on the ground, the issue with this though is that zecarayus is still under the illusion that the guild is grounded when in fact it was still in the sky.

Re: The Grand Ball
Kiersa rolled her eyes at Cirven and gave a little pouty face. "I had been planning on wearing that dress we got from Minstrel... but our illustrious Guild Master decided otherwise and dragged me on a shopping trip... hence this dress." she explained before catching sight of the guards... in semi-pursuit of the Fairy Tail mage no doubt from earlier.
"Could you all please excuse me one moment... I think this has to be dealt with personally..." the blonde nun sighed before she muttered under her breath. "Stigmata of Flight." With the invocation, a pair of bright yellow ethereal wings emerged from her back, the dress staining red there before she took flight and then promptly landed herself in front of the group of Fairy Tail mages, the wings dispersing the moment she touched the floor.
"My apologies." she said with a bow of her head. "I'm Kiersa Bec, one of Sabertooth's Ace's... and well... I fear there has been a little miscommunication somewhere earlier on tonight." said the blonde nun politely, looking amongst them. "May I ask which of you it was that was... performing necromancy earlier?" Kiersa asked.
"You're not in any trouble... my apologies if the guards made it seem that way. I just wanted to ask you to perhaps not raise the dead whilst attending the ball tonight." she explained, grimacing at the phrase. "Personally... I could feel the magic when you cast it earlier, and well... I fell quite ill as a result. And there are no doubt others gathered here tonight that would not take kindly to someone raising the dead." the nun explained to the mages, waving off the guards that had been approaching, allowing them to return to their posts.
"Now... with that out of the way... may I ask why on Earthland you felt compelled to climb onto the railings in order to fetch the... remains that you used?" the blonde nun asked with a look of bewilderment across it. "If you had slipped or lost your footing, you would have joined those remains... if the guards hadn't reached you in time. One of the hazards of being a floating guild hall is the edges, hence why I've had the guards patrolling the balconies and such... alcohol and floating in the sky don't exactly mix well." she said with a small chuckle before bowing her head once more.
"I hope that's cleared up any misunderstandings... I had hoped that your Guildmaster or one of your Aces would have been the one to explain this, but unfortunately that was not the case... in any regard, I hope you continue to enjoy the night, and please... don't raise anything else please... seeing a skeleton wandering around may set some people on edge." Kiersa requested politely before she made her way back to the group she had been speaking with earlier.
Once she had returned she rubbed her forehead and sighed before she looked to the others. "Apologies for my sudden departure there... some things apparently must be handled in person." she said with a roll of her eyes, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I swear... if Raven wants to hold another one of these in the near future, I'm just going to lock myself in my room and not come out till its over."

Re: The Grand Ball
Zecarayus was walking up the stairs with blue and julius until the nun suddenly appeared before him. Zecarayus stopped and held his breath, he could have sworn an angel just appeared before him due to the fact that she came down on angel wings. She then asked of who was the necromancer was among them, and zecarayus admitted that he was the one. She then explained that he was in no trouble and then dismissed the approaching guards, in which she explained that she fell quite ill after he cast his spell, and he did feel guilty and was about to apologize before she said it,
"Now... with that out of the way... may I ask why on Earthland you felt compelled to climb onto the railings in order to fetch the... remains that you used?" the blonde nun asked with a look of bewilderment across it. He was bewildered to say the least, and did not recover from the shock before she left. Now he looked at the windows, the night sky was faltering in his eyesight. This is not right, this is not right this is not right zecarayus kept thinking to himself and forced a lot of his mana into his head before the sky violently opened to reveal the true outside to him.
He gasped at the sight, he was no longer under the illusion and now was questioning himself about how he got up here in the first place. How? The blasted spirits of course, the bloody things wanted me to die. I hoped no one else was affected by this... he thought then remembered how serana was not concerned when he was on the ledge. "Hey guys I have to go see someone real quick allright?" he said then walked as fast as he could to where serana was at the balcony. When he did arrive, he quickly noticed how actually high up they were and gasped as he held on to the side of the entryway to the balcony serana was on. He then regained enough composure to speak, "Serana, can you come over here please? I think something might be wrong." he asked her, fearful for both her life and the extremely high altitude they were at.

Re: The Grand Ball
Serena blinked, she had been focusing on the ground illusion for quite a while now, and it felt like she was looking at air the whole time for some strange reason. Just then, a voice snapped her out of her deep concentration and she looked behind her to see that Zecarayus had returned. She nodded slowly and went up to him, Astrid following behind. Before doing so, it had sniffed curiously at the air, still having a feeling that made its fur stick up slightly. "Yes? What is the problem?" she asked, brushing off invisible dust from her silver-gray dress.

"Uhh just need to check something real quick allright?" he asked then put both hands on her shoulders and looked deep in her eyes. Sure enough he can see the faint images of faces booing and shooing him away in her eyes. Go away! we need more friends and she will be a good friend to us once she falls! they seemed to say to him. zecarayus looked away from them then looked to the side, bad idea. He panicked a little from seeing how high they were then focused back on serana. Well we can do this two ways, lets see if this will be easy. he thought to himself and said, "Serana, I hate to break this to you but were not grounded. We are actually, believe or not , in the air!" he told her, hoping that would be enough.

Re: The Grand Ball
Chapter 5: Liberation of the Soul Rock with Me BGM: Anastasia's Theme |
"Oh, be kind, Shuhei. I didn't mind their company. I actually thought that Blue-guy was rather cute," she said in a matter-of-fact tone. "Perhaps I would have fancied a dance with him instead of you, hm?" she asked with an inquisitive brow raised. While it is true that she is just teasing the man, it isn't far from the truth. Any association with the Blue Pegasus ground at her like steel upon steel. She was considering leaving the guild, even with Shuhei's clever and charming advances. The only thing Anastasia lacked was the correct time to exit the stage. An eyebrow shot up at Shuhei's wink to the conductor, causing the band to prepare for a certain song. There is no way that Shuhei coerced the band to play this on command, was there? It's possible, but highly improbable. Perhaps just his face and his name was enough to earn the respect and adoration of the conductor to play something suitable for dancing. And then the 'charming' compliment. This caused Anastasia to lift her hand up to her lips and chuckle a bit. "Oh my, Shuhei. Aren't you quite charming?" she asked. She knows a compliment when she hears it, but even this simply country girl knows an advance when she hears it. She'll let it pass for now without reprimand. Shuhei seemed to look like he's having fun. "But thank you," she said before nodding her head. The music began to play and the lights began to dim. The waltz, hm? Anastasia hasn't dance the waltz in quite some time; not since her job with that brat. She kept in stride with Shuhei, normally being the one that lead people in dances. A man's pride is an important thing to keep in-tact, so taking the lead on something she was probably superior at would simply harm his ego. She couldn't embarrass her Guild Master, could she? Or rather, former (but she doesn't know about the change). Dancing with her partner, she noticed everyone stopping and allowing them to have center stage. Shu had the audacity to ask how she was. The smile and look of joy for performing arts wasn't enough to answer his question? "How do I feel, Shuhei? Oh, c'mon! I live for this stuff!" she said as she returned the look back into Shuhei's eyes as the two continued with the formal and rather stiff dancing style. She personally enjoyed more upbeat dancing but ball-room dancing was fine. It was no swing or mamba, but this was fine. A wink was returned to him as he watched her movements. "But don't even think you're going to go beyond this, Shuhei." |

Re: The Grand Ball
Alyia Nystrom Words @Angel of Luck |
The Angel shrugged as she smiled stilling holding on to her most favorite person in the word. But seeing as her partner was not responding the angel released her and moved to stand between Cirven and Venir. The short guild master was now standing between her two guild Aces, well Cirven was on trial to become a guild Ace but for tonight it counted. She smiled as she looked at the blonde haired girl who had excused herself. "You are perfectly fine. I completely understand. As for coming tonight, I came upon the request of this jester." Alyia motioned to the man standing next to her. "He asked me to watch over his partner, but seems as he made an appearance as well. Else I would be back in my office getting to the stacks of damage reports..." The angel visibly shivered at the thought and gripped the cloak that still decorated her shoulders. A new song started to play in the room behind them and the angel closed her eyes humming to the song as it one that she had heard before but she could not name the tune. Her eyes opened once again and the angel smiled. "I'm going to head to the refreshments table, I think I saw a chocolate fondue on the way here." Alyia moved to wave good by and turned only to run into one of the many waiters that were walking around the ballroom with a small squeak a could liquid covered herself and her dress. The angel looked down at her dress with wide eyes and then back at the waiter whom she had bumped into, "I am so sorry. I didn't mean to run into you." She panicked and tried to make sure that she was not going to be in trouble. Her now stained dress no longer held a segment in her mind as she worried about the person she bumped into. Finally the person walked away and the angel sighed, everything was okay, no one had been hurt. Her eyes looked down at her dress and she groaned. It was not ruined, but she could no longer wear it for tonight. She should have prepared for something like this to happen. After all her good luck could only last so long. Even and angel of luck had restrictions. She smiled back at her new found friends. "It seems as I must take my leave for tonight. My dress has been soiled." She did have one back at home, but what would be the point in leaving only to go get changed and then coming back. |

Re: The Grand Ball
"You better not let her hear you calling her that. She might come and bite your head off." He joked about Raven scolding Kiersa for her comment but figured that the nun would completely miss the joke as she abruptly went off to deal with something. He wasn't able to make out exactly what was going on but when Kiersa got back he glared at her for her using her magic. "You still are using that stupid magic, huh? You do remember I hate seeing you hurt yourself to use it. You ruined your dress it looks like by the way.." He sighed after speaking to her figuring that she would brush his thoughts off especially after what all had happened. He had just left Sabertooth to many and never came back until now. He was surprised he had not been given a much harsher welcoming than the nice one he had received but figured Raven had some sort of plan for dealing with him later with all who was there.
His Guildmaster then spoke about how she was there basically because of him to which he smiled at and shrugged. He also noticed Venir at this point and gave the girl a wave. "Yo Ven." He turned his attention back to his GM and Kiersa. "You can't say you haven't had fun here, Alyia. We did have a pretty fun time dancing and the stars were pretty nice out. You can't say this impromptu date wasn't fun for you." He grinned at her and was about to excuse himself when she went to walk away only to bash into a waiter and stain her dress. He couldn't help but lightly laughing at the scene as she made sure the waiter was alright. She turned around showing the stain and spoke about leaving the ball altogether because of the stain.
"Leaving the ball for a stain GM? You are thinking pretty low about this whole thing." He turned his attention onto Kiersa. "Excuse us for a short time." He then took the girl into his arms like he did earlier and made his way through the crowd. "I know, I know. You want to know where I'm taking you. Well I'm taking you to get a much better dress." He found an open area near a wall and took his mask off to form a small area connected to the wall where she could change. "Inside is a dress that won't be stained by things. Consider it a magical dress like you could read about in fairy tails or something. Also it looks exactly like yours in every way. Only thing is you have to stay within around 100 feet of me or you lose the dress. Sound good?"

Re: The Grand Ball
Serena blinked, absorbing Zecarayus' statement slowly. She knew something was wrong the whole time she was gazing at the ground, the way it felt fake and air-like, though it did look like the ground in every way possible. She glanced at Astrid for a quick second before looking back at the boy before her before nodding slowly. "Ah, so it is..." Astrid and herself returned looks, somehow with each other before Serena turned back to the necromancer. "Hn, it appeared that Astrid had always sensed something...strange about the ground beneath us. He's sensitive to heights," she explained, calmly in a matter-of-fact-like way.
The silverette figured that Zecarayus had probably thought she would be surprised at this sudden news, considering that it would surprise any oblivious individual. However, in the first place, she was never that easy to surprise, after all, she had grown to always expect anything to the point that nothing could ever shock her completely. Only the most shocking and craziest news would ever make her stagger backwards or force some expression on that poker face of hers.

Re: The Grand Ball
She would be right as zecarayus was indeed surprised by how well she took it, especially since people usually don't like hearing they were put under an illusion in the first place. But of course it was a pleasant surprise, if she did not believe him then he had to shock her out of it, which would not have been fun to deal with afterwards. He offered a quick thank you to astrid before talking with serana again.
"Really? Just like that? Your pretty solid then, usually people will refuse to acknowledge they are under a illusion, or if they do then they hate the person who told them about it." he said, but then added with remorse, "But..., I am sorry about that, I admit if I had not came here or met you then this wouldn't have happened to you." In truth if he had known that she would be afflicted with spirits, or he'd hurt anyone here then he would have never arrived at all. Of course, that didn't stop both things from happening this night.
