Chatter of the bustling people waiting in line for their turn echoed throughout the port of Hargeon; all of them waited – half of them being patient whereas the other, not so much – to get the one thing that could cause such excitement; a passport.
Fiore had decided to open its border to outsiders thus, opening it for Seven, Bosco and Ministrel as a show of peace. Adults, teenagers and children all waited to get their hands on their passport for a much needed vacation.
A certain brunette stood at the end of the line, looking ahead in exasperation. “Oh man. The line is huge, it’ll be forever before I get my turn.”
This brunette was none other than Zoe Schiffer; Fairy Tail’s wind mage. She, too, had come to take a passport but after witnessing the line, her temptation to go back emerged.
“Come on, Zoe. It won’t take that long, you can wait. You’ll get your passport before you know it.” She pumped her fist in the air and came to a conclusion of waiting in the long line ahead of her.

Half an hour had passed and Zoe was at her limit. “How much longer is it going to take? It’s already been half an hour.” She had only been able to move about ten steps forward in that span of time.
“At this rate, I’ll get my passport by the time I’m sixty!” Zoe exclaimed, “I need to do something. There is no way I am waiting in this stupid line.”
The wind mage decided to cut in line; though it was not the right thing to do, at that moment, she could hardly care. Crouching down a bit, she tip-toed silently next to the line and managed to find a place in front of a woman and a child.
“Yes! Now I need to continue doing this and I’ll be at the front in no time.” The brunette whispered to herself.
“Um, excuse me, little girl?” A voice called from behind her. ‘Little girl?’ Turning back around to see who had the nerve to call her a little girl, she noticed that it was the woman whom she had cut in line in front of.
“You just cut in line.” The woman said, arching an eyebrow at her. Zoe was about to go all out on her for calling her a little girl despite the fact she was sixteen before a devilish idea walked into her mind.

Looking at the woman with eyes brimming with innocence, she sniffed a bit before saying, “Gomen'nasai, I didn’t mean to. You see, I can’t find my mother. I thought that by trying to look through the line, I would find her. I didn’t mean to cut in line!”
Keeping her hands on her face, she pretended to cry. The woman waved her arms frantically and said, “Hey, it’s okay! Please stop crying, you’ll find your mother soon. How about I call an officer and he can help you find your mother?”
Zoe froze at that statement; how could that have slipped out of her mind? Looking back at the woman, her eyes roamed around and pointed at a lady who stood in front of the line. “Oh, look! There she is! Thank you so much for your help, I’ll be okay now. Arigatō.”
The wind mage turned around and walked hastily towards the direction of the lady she had pointed at. The woman looked at her in bewilderment before shrugging her shoulders and resumed talking to her son.

Seeing as her before plan actually managed to work, she decided on using that. After all, who could say no to an adorable child? Perhaps being short sometimes does have its benefits. Walking a bit further till she was almost at the start of the line, she tapped a man who was standing with his wife on the shoulder.
Zoe smiled brightly at them, “Hello there! I was wondering if I could stand here in front of you.” Turning her expression into a more solemn one, she said, “You see, my parents are working extremely hard. They sent me here to get the passports but the line is so big, I don’t know how I will get them in time.”
The couple looked at each other and then the man forcibly smiled and said, “Uh, okay. You can stand here. It’s completely fine.”
“Arigatō.” She stood before them just as the person in front of her was finished with taking their passport.

Zoe smiled politely at the man that stood behind the counter and gave him her details. “One moment, please.” The man left and went to the back room. After a while, he returned with Zoe’s passport in his hand. “Zoe Schiffer; Fairy Tail Mage; Age 16, right?”
The brunette nodded enthusiastically at him as he gave her the passport. “Arigatō.” She said, for the third time today. Just as the brunette was about to leave, the man called out to her. “Schiffer-san.”
Turning to look at him, she replied, “Yes?” The man smirked a bit and said, “Nice job cutting in line. You wizards really know how to get your work done, don’t you?”
An anime style sweat mark appeared on the back of her head, “Um, yeah. Sorry about that.” The man laughed and said, “Don’t worry. It’s not the first time anyone has done it.”
“Oh, okay well then, bye!” She bid farewell to the man before skipping off happily with her passport in her hand. Just because she was a legal mage didn’t mean that she wouldn’t break the rules from time to time, especially since she was a Fairy Tail wizard. The man was right; wizards really knew how to get their work done.
