To Earthland...and probably somewhere else too.

Job Description:

It was a sunny day in Hargeon town. There was a calm, salty breeze wafting up from the docks; about the only thing Dmitry liked about the place. The spirit mage was currently on his way to get a "passport", as it was apparently called. The other members of Lamia Scale told him he would need one if he ever wanted to do a job outside of Fiore's borders. While he found it unlikely that he would feel the need to do such a job, Dmitry thought it best to get one anyway just to be safe. Curiously enough, his guild-mates gave him some parting words before he left for the docks: "Good luck..."

'That wasn't ominous or anything...' Dmitry's oldest spirit, Hati said.

Dmitry wondered what they could've meant by that. After all, he was just getting a passport, right? Just as he was thinking that, the true meaning behind those foreboding words became painfully obvious. As Dmitry came up on the docks, he was able to see the booth where one was to get a passport. What he also saw made his heart sink. In front of the booth was a massive line, spanning at least 50 ft. Dmitry painfully shuffled his way to the back and prepared for what was sure to be one of the worst experiences of his life.

The hot sun bore down on the docks and cooked Dmitry in his coat and hat. Normally it wouldn't be so bad, as the sea breeze generally cooled things off around this part of town. However, the sun happened to be at it's highest at this particular time of day and the day itself happened to be hotter than usual. On top of that the line hadn't moved an inch in half an hour. Dmitry felt as though the sun was casting a spotlight on him, since everyone else here had come in more breathable clothing, no doubt already of the line that was to be expected.

In a daze that bordered on heat stroke, Dmitry didn't notice the line had moved forward a bit. Before he had a chance to move with it, a family of five pushed it's way in front of him.

"Excuse me," Dmitry said. "But I was in line here." 

"You snooze you lose, pal. My family's been waiting all month for this vacation." The apparent man of the family rather rudely said. That was the last straw; Dmitry was done being polite.

'Honestly, I'm surprised you lasted this long.' Hati said, excited for what was sure to come next.

'Well, I tried.' Dmitry said back in his head. 'Now it's time for the show...'

"Invoke the Great Wolf: Hati!" The massive spirit wolf came forth and immediately began growling at the would be tourists. Naturally, the family in front of him scattered, much to the pleasure of the summoner. As Dmitry passed the "man" of the family, he flashed him a grin.

"Ah, how kind of you..." He said to the father. Dmitry then calmly walked forward as Hati continued to disperse the line, taking great pleasure in doing so. Eventually, Dmitry reached the desk of the booth, reaching over and pulling the frightened attendant to his feet. 

"I'm a mage with Lamia Scale and I'm in need of a passport." He said while showing the quivering man the emblem on his forearm. The man promptly gave Dmitry all the proper forms to sign and issued him his new passport. 

"Well, that was fun." Hati said as the two walked off. He greatly enjoyed scaring humans.
