On the day Lyserg set foot into Talonia, fully equipped, with the single intention of destruction, the sun was shining and the grey streaks of clouds were blocking its heat. It was winter. It had not yet snowed, but frost was everywhere. The frozen molecules of water danced whenever anyone exhaled. People's noses were red, they were wearing scarves, and thick winter coats. The streets weren't full, as usual in the town of those who hadn't yet found a purpose in this world. A city of merchantry and business. Too bad that it would need to go.
As a time mage, there wasn't too much destruction he could cause to draw attention. For that purpose, Lyserg had fixed dozens of explosion lacrimas in a gigantic bag that was about ten times his size. Casually carrying the sack over his shoulder, it read "HANDLE WITH CARE" in gigantic script over the expanded thing. Standing somewhat central in the pedestrian zone, he had already gotten the looks from several people. Sighing, at what would envelop this Sodom & Gomorrah of Earthland next, he let a single, relatively small lacrima drop into his hand from the bag. He could feel the condensed energy surging inside it.
With a baseball pitch, it flung right across a small plaza and into a shoestore about 100 meters from him across the street. In a gigantic explosion the entire store bursted out into flames with shoes flying all the way across the street. With a bunch of women running out, some on fire, some not, Lyserg wasn't quite sure if they were crying out of pure anguish or if there were some joyous screams amongst the unhurt female specimens. From that moment on, he earned the most defeaning stares he had seen in quite some time.
Letting another lacrima drop from the bag, he pitched it into another building, this time somewhat higher, causing it to burst and collapse into flames as well. Suddenly, people started realizing what was going on. Taking a third, relatively small lacrima out of the bag and pitching it incredibly high into the sky, he took a look around and then casually started walking away. "That thing will come down. I didn't toss it into space, people." He remarked in a dominant tone. A bunch of citizens frozen from fear didn't exactly know how to react, as this was both a much too spontaneous action, as well as a far too sinister action for anyone to rationalize or comprehend in such a short amount of time.
With the entire plaza going up in flames behind him, Lyserg then gently laid the sack of explosive lacrima on the ground and began taking out a bunch of them in various sizes. "I've never been quite good at destroying things, but I've been coach of the team that won the Earthland Cricket championship 1500 years ago." Squinting, and taking a gigantic step backward, Lyserg aimed for a gigantic toss right down the middle of the next road. Twisting his arm with extreme force, the lacrima flew at incredible speed right past a few pedestrians, around half a mile down the road until it hit someone right in the head, causing the following three blocks to light up in flames.
With eyes wide open, Lyserg looked at the label. It read "Gathers force with flight!" With a raised eyebrow, he directed his aim down the road in the other direction and took stance again. "How convenient these little things are!" And flung another one that traveled even further than the last one, causing an entire building complex to collapse unto itself. Cracking his shoulders and stretching his arms he had a satisfied look on his face. "Yep, I still got it. Though I wonder if anyone will take me up on my offer."
