A wrecked city. Blight and strife wherever you looked. Despite all citizens having been evacuated in the past few days. It was a ghost town. Reeking of destruction, filth and despair it was an ugly site to behold. None of its former glory had stayed. Proof that this city was nothing but a sporadic center for periodic enjoyment. It had no culture. It had no meaning. Its destruction meant little to the hearts of Fiorans, but much to the economy. It had been a financial center for almost all of Earthland. It had been the main attraction for tourists all over the world. The kind of city it was. A functional shadow of the lobbies. Of the oligarchic rule that functioned solely on business. Lyserg was disgusted by it. Even now, knowing he had been the cause for the deaths of many, the suffering and the arbitrary destruction of homes and relaxation of the spirit, he was disgusted by it.

There were no questions, Lyserg had none. Not because he knew the answers, but because he knew how redundant it was to even begin to ask. Who was anyone to say peace was the status quo. He had created an apocalypse. He brought strife to the garden of magic. There was no safe place in this world. He held the tip of his sword right at the neck of humanity and didn't hesitate a second. Of course he had carried wounds away. It was anyones right to stop him. Did that make him a bad person? To follow his own visions and ideals? To oppose what others see as granted? To end life that he has no right to take? Lyserg didn't believe it did. What made a person bad or good was not what he valued, but how much he valued it. And he trusted, many of the people that had died, many of the ones that were brought to death amidst the chaos were good people. Decent human beings. But who were they? What right did they have to integrity? Who had said that it wasn't someones right to challenge the security of life and end it in the process for a goal that he pursued? That's right, no one except an assembly of people with ideals the large mass of people agreed with because they could live without worry about survival.

That on one hand, didn't disgust Lyserg. People chose to live simple lives. Some of those people had been close friends in the past. But did that mean he had to agree? He didn't think so. On the other hand, he physically and mentally opposed them. What he thought of wasn't simplicity, peace or balance. No, it was something greater. And he had the right to attempt everything to gain it. As a human. As a living being.

So, Lyserg sat upon a chunk of stone in full gear, his elbows rested on his knees giving hold to his chin on his hands. With squinted eyes, he focused the wind passing, the smell of dirt and blood alongside iron and oil. Thinking about himself. Thinking about this city. Thinking about what he had done. Because there were doubts. And Lyserg knew that doubts were a part of the human emotional spectrum. They would always appear. Taking time to get rid of them was a necessity. And being alone, contemplating what it meant to murder, what it meant to sin, what it mean to be as inhumane as him, seemed to void all of those doubts over-time. He didn't believe he was wrong. It had been his right to do all this. With opportunities came chances. He had taken a chance. Was there any justifying himself in front of other humans? No, likely not. But that was because he believed that there exist ideas that encompass what it means to be human. That there exist concepts that are worth to fight for even if that meant trampling on what it means to be human. Using others, forging darkness, doing that which others perceive as evil. That was what Lyserg thought. And sitting upon that chunk of stone, he would wait for another hour or so. He didn't expect anyone here. No one knew him, he was just another man sitting upon a stone. Right here, right now, he was no one. He was just another human with a mind that thought ideas. He was himself.

Ideals And Ideas[Private] Empty Re: Ideals And Ideas[Private]

As Lyserg sat and contemplated things, someone watched from not too far away and kept a close eye on him. The blue haired woman kept to the shadows, watching Tartarus' newest guild master with a keen and careful eye. Not out of distrust, but to make sure nothing was attempted on his life. The maid had her hat on to conceal her face from anyone who might want to look at it, but she would use the deadly weapon if the time came or her newest master ordered it. Lucille tried her best to hide herself, but was no fool when it came to anything. Lyserg probably already knew she was waiting in the shadows, but the Grove would stick to them until he needed her assistance. Despite being weak, the blood mage would do whatever Lyserg asked of her if needed. If he said jump, she would only ask how high. If he needed someone dead, she would find a way to kill them no matter what. If he needed a body shield, she would gladly be it.

Was it blind loyalty? Probably. But Lucille had already lost one guild master in her time at Tartarus, she wasn't going to lose another.

Thus she continued to patiently watch the man as he contemplated everything. Hiding in the shadow of a rock, which was part of the shadow of a city Rose Garden had become. For once not reveling in the death, but being calm and collected. Like a good soldier, like the good maid she was to Lyserg. Lucille Grove watched her newest guild master while being ready at the drop of a hat to rush to his side if he needed anything.
