Job: A Wrath like no other [Shining Ace & Alyia]

"Yeah, that was what I was thinking. I haven't had breakfast yet and we have until 11:00 to drop of the jewellery." Alyia told him as she took the black box containing her now engraved necklace from Ace as he handed it to her, before then watched Alyia walked down the near empty streets of Hargeon as it slowly began to fill with people. Ace sighed a smile and slowly trailed along behind Alyia who was looking from shop to shop trying to spot a place to eat, when he picked up the smell of chocolate and figured that she was going to follow it. Knowing the smell was going to lead to a bakery at the end of the block after going there yesterday before he even met Alyia, Ace decided to take a detour into a café and bought himself a small cup of black hazelnut and chocolate coffee before he sat down on a bench outside across from the bakery and began sip it slowly before putting it down and taking out his guitar practicing as he waited for Alyia to come out with a freshly baked chocolate pastry, which he spotted sitting in the windows was a chocolate croissant. As he began to strum his guitar he noticed people stopping mistaking them for being a street-performer which he did have a licence for though, sighing he began to playing his guitar and just before he began to sing his hand began to glow in a soft golden in light and after that with each strum of his guitar golden light particles travelled along the sound waves.

Alyia saw Ace, he was playing his guitar again and singing. Taking another small bite of her delicacy she closed her eyes and  listened to the song that Ace was singing. It was a catchy tune that she knew, just be chance. Opening her eyes she saw Ace playing there were sparkles radiating off of him and into the air surrounding him. People sometimes dropped monet in his guitar case, but she guessed that he was not trying to make money at the moment. The blonde haired girl took another bite and then walked up to Ace humming the song that he was playing. Alyia had a beautiful voice despite all that she had been through. It was like that of an angel. Finally standing in front of Ace Alyia was tempted to joining him in singing but decided against it. “I got some breakfast.” Alyia looked up at the Sun. “I’d also say that we have about  two hours and twenty minutes until the jewellery has to be dropped off." The blonde looked back at Ace and then at the streets. “I’d also say that we start to move now. It will probably take us about twenty minutes to get to the house, but the streets are starting to become crowded and you know how I do with crowds.” With that Alyia stood in front of Ace waiting for him to stand so that they could finally finish their job.

Ace finished singing the song as he stopped strumming and the light particles that had been floating around him and the crowd in the air faded. A few people who had stopped to watch applauded before walking off as he sat down he sighed closing his eyes and taking a sip of his coffee the as he listened to the sounds around him. Upon hearing the chime of a few coins he sat up and packed his guitar away not checking if there was any money in the case as he noticed Alyia walking up to him humming the song that he was playing with voice that sounded similar to that of an angel. “I got some breakfast.” Alyia told him as she looked up at the Sun "You got a little bit left over here" Ace said pointing to the corner of her mouth informing her that there was a small amount of melted chocolate there.
“I’d also say that we have about  two hours and twenty minutes until the jewellery has to be dropped off.” The blonde looked back at Ace and then at the streets. “I’d also say that we start to move now. It will probably take us about twenty minutes to get to the house, but the streets are starting to become crowded and you know how I do with crowds.” With that Alyia stood in front as he got to his feet grabbing his bags and finishing off his coffee "Sounds like a plan, we could always hand in the jewellery before the deadline you know."

Alyia wiped the side of her mouth that Ace had motioned to that had food on it. Looking at her hand she saw the melted chocolate on it and she licked it off. She looked back at Ace and nodded. A thank you. She turned around and watched Ace grab his stuff before heading off towards Mr. Spiff's house. The streets had definitely become more crowded with people Alyia noticed as she and Ace started their walk towards the clients house. There were not so many people that it made Alyia nervous just enough to make her start to look around and checking everyone. Alyia was smart today as she had put her hair up in a pony-tail at the beginning of the day preventing tangling it in other people's legs.

The two had walked for 25 minutes and finally reached the Spiffs' house. It was two floors and in the back there was a balcony on the second floor. Alyia looked at the house as they approached it. It was big and a light shade of cream. It was surrounded by a iron fence with decorative spikes on the top. Alyia looked at the house in awe. It was the biggest house that she had ever seen. Looking up at the sky and then looking at the shadows on the ground Alyia could only guess that it had taken them between 20 and 30 minutes to actually get to the house. Meaning that they only had an hour and fifty minutes to two hours left until the jewelry had to be delivered.

Ace watched Alyia as she wiped the side of her mouth that he had pointed at that had chocolate on it lick off the melted chocolate which for some reason made him think of cats. When she then looked back at Ace nodding to him, he understood what she was no problem "Don't mention it I just thought you wouldn't want our client to see you with some left over breakfast on your face." he replied giving her a soft smile before he turned to walk down the street heading off towards Mr. Spiff's house. Ace saw that the streets had definitely become more crowded with people as the time passed while they travelled Alyia noticed as she and Ace started their walk towards the clients house. Ace saw that Alyia had started to look around and checking everyone, he sighed guessing that the sheer amount of people on the streets must have beginning to make her nervous and wondered if she was going to be okay and decided to see how things would play out and if need be he would suggest taking the roof tops.
After a 25 minute the two reached their client's house. It wasn't the biggest house he had seen but it was big for Fiore having two floors a balcony on the back of the second floor and was painted a light shade of cream and was surrounded by a iron fence with decorative spikes on the top. As Alyia looked at the house in awe Ace stepped closer to the gate before tossing his bag over since there was nothing fragile in it before placing his guitar in a bush to conceal it. "See you on the other side," Ace said to Alyia before he jumped over the gate in a single bound.

Alyia could only watch as Ace jumped over the fence. The fence itself was about seven feet tall. Two feet taller than her. With another sigh she called once again on her flight spell; Flight of the Holy. With light wings sprouting from her back Alyia flapped only once and shot up into the air. Flipping in the air Alyia angled herself so that she would fly over the fence. Seeing Ace below her Alyia dove down and landed right behind him. Tucking her wings in but not disabling the spell. When her feet finally touched the ground she took a couple steps and fell in step right behind Ace. With her hair swishing behind her she looked up at the balcony it was on the second story so she was glad that he hadn’t disabled the spell, after all she would have to use it again to get up on the balcony. Watching as the balcony got closer and closer until it was nearly right above them. Opening her wings once again Alyia took off into the sky flying to the balcony with the small black box in her hands.

Spells Used:

Ace watched as Alyia grew wings of light to fly over the gate flipping in the air and when her feet finally touched the ground she took a couple steps falling in step right behind Ace. He began to walk towards the house after he had picked up his bag and began to follow behind Alyia who after spotting the balcony flew off in that direction. Ace pulled his head phones from around his neck to his ears as he walked along listen to a mixed playlist he had stored in his music player, silently lip syncing the words as if he was muttering to himself. He arrived underneath the balcony, dropping his bag on the ground holding his chosen jewellery in his had before he jumped straight up and stopped for a spilt second as he reached the peak of his jump where he placed the box containing the ring on the balcony's hand railing just as he fell back to the ground. Once he landed he leaned against the wall waiting for Alyia to come back down.

Placing her box next to Ace’s, Alyia jumped off the railing of the balcony. Landing on the ground next to Ace with her wings fading she smiled at him. “Well, I think that we did a pretty good job today, don’t you think?” Alyia looked up at Ace and smiled. It was something that was rare for Alyia. Looking back at the fence Alyia opened her wings and flew over the fence once again and looked back at Ace, she gave him another smile. “Come on slow poke. What are you waiting for. We dropped off the jewelry." Alyia's smile turned into a smirk as she looked back at Ace and motioned for him to come join her on the other side of the fence. She turned her back tot the fence and walked to the front door of the house. Reaching the front step she waited for Ace to come stand next to her before she rang the door bell.

Seeing Alyia landing on the ground next to him smiling with her wings fading Ace pulled down his headphones to his neck again and looked over at her “Well, I think that we did a pretty good job today, don’t you think?” Alyia said looking up at Ace still smiling before looking back at the fence Alyia opened her wings and flew over the fence once again and looked back at Ace, she gave him another smile. “Come on slow poke. What are you waiting for. We dropped off the jewelry." Alyia's smile turned into a smirk as she looked back at Ace and motioned for him to come join her on the other side of the fence, Ace couldn't help but smile back at Alyia though it quickly turned into a friendly smirk after he had jumped over the fence again landing behind Alyia silently who on the other hand had turned her back to the fence and walked to the front door of the house. Upon reaching the front step, she looked back down the way they had just came before she rang the door bell. "Who are you looking for?" Ace asked just after Alyia had rang the door bell and not even ten minutes past when a butler opened the door and asked the two of them. "The present has landed".

Alyia jumped slightly as she was that Ace was right next to her. This was the second time that he had done it the entire time that she was working with him. With a small sigh escaping her lips Alyia watched Ace press the door bell. Moments later the door opened and there stood the butler. Ace took the pleasure of saying the magic words and soon the two were ushered inside. Alyia looked around amazed at the inside of the house it was so big a spacious. They were lead to a room the looked much like an office and were seated down in two chairs that were seated in front of a desk. They were told to wait there until Mr. Spiff came to see them himself. With that the butler exited the room, leaving the two mages on their own. Alyia immediate wanted to get up and explore the room and see what was in it and what she could mess with, but she held back her desires as she knew that she was almost done with the job and that one mess up now would react in her not getting the reward.

Ace chuckled softly when Alyia jumped slightly when she found out he was right next to her. This was the second time that he had done it the entire time that she was working with him. After Ace had took the pleasure of saying the magic words and soon the two were ushered inside by the butler and were lead to a room the looked much like an office and were seated down in two chairs that were seated in front of a desk where they were told to wait there until Mr. Spiff came to see them himself. With that the butler exited the room, leaving the two mages on their own. Ace sighed as he reclined in one of the two chairs laced in front of the desk and sighed as he swung on its hind legs, but sat up normally when the door opened a second time as Mr. Spiff walked in leaving Ace a little surprised as you see that the man is nothing like he seems in the job poster. Mr. Spiff was towering man with battle scars on his face and arms and greeted them both with hearty laughter and a clasp on your shoulder as he commend the both of them on their choice of jewellery before handing them both a ring and 1,000 jewels each, thanking once more for your help. After they had their payment they were ushered out of the house by the butler, Ace had a stupid grin on his face as he put on the ring on the finger of the one he already had before going to collect his pick up his guitar that he hid in the bush "Well that's us done." Ace said smiling hiding his sorrow he had rather enjoyed Alyia company even if he wasn't sure if the feeling wasn't completely mutual "Well I got to get going its one job after another if I want to make rent." He snickered before holding out his hand "Who knows maybe we'll meet again someday and hey if you happen to be in Magnolia Town don't be a stranger I'll be around there or my partner will be after all were frien-..." Ace caught his tongue not wanting to end their job together on a bad note by making her mad, he sighed while smiling before continuing "after all we are acquaintances right?"

Alyia stuffed the jewels into her pocket as soon as she had gotten them and slipped on the ring that she had recieved as well. It was light blue and matched her eyes. Sure she was surprised at the appearance of Mr. Spiff, but she had learned never to judge a book by it's cover. She followed behind Ace as they were ushered out of the house. Passing through the long hallways that they were lead through to get to the office. Reaching th front door both stepped out and the door closed behind them. Alyia watched as Ace grabbed his guitar from the bushes and bit her farewell using the word acquaintances instead of friend. She smirked at Ace. She would definately stop by again to play some pranks, that was for sure. With that the blonde girl turned on her heel and started her trek back to Eclipse Soul.
