Job: A Wrath like no other [Shining Ace & Alyia]

Adrien dressed loosely wearing a gray-blue gakuran and keeps only one button in place, the rest are unbuttoned to reveal a yellow undershirt beneath the uniform. Arc also wears pants with the same color and a pair of tennis shoes with black, white and gold tones and also wears his headphones. He smiled a sighed as he sat on a bench opposite of a water fountain that laid in the middle of a plaza in Hargeon Town reading over the copy of the job flier he had pulled off the job board back at the Fairy Tail guild hall just double checking all the information on it before comparing it to the letter he had gotten back from Mr. Spiff in response to the letter Ace had sent him saying that he accepted his job offer. However on Mr. Spiff's letter it stated that another mages from an other guilds which Mr. Spiff didn't message state which guild (not that Ace really cared) had also accepted the job so the two of them would be working together to complete the job. It also gave the two of them a meeting point in Hageon which was the water fountain along with a credit card which they all had to use to purchase the jewellery needed to complete the mission. He closed his eyes smiling listened to the sounds of the passing people, birds singing and water splashing relaxing as he waited for the other the other guild member to show up.

Alyia walked down the street at Hargeon to the water fountain where she was going to meet the person that she was working with for this job her hair brushing the back of her calves. She had planned to go on this mission with her partner from Eclipse Soul but he was a secretive person and did not like to do jobs that interacted with people. So, as a result she ended up accepting it alone not expecting someone else from another guild to accept the job as well. She found this out when she had talked to Mr. Spiff, the poor old man. He had told her that someone else had also accepted the job and they were to meet at the center fountain and work together on this job. Eyes narrowing the blonde mage growled, couldn’t the person in front of her walk any faster? Hating crowds the female wanted to get to the fountain as fast as possible in hopes that there wouldn’t be as many people. Upon finally seeing the fountain, and the lack of people around it, Alyia started to weave through the crowd trying to get out and get to the fountain. ‘Two more people,’ Alyia thought as she neared the edge of the crowd. But, along with her bad luck Alyia’s clumsiness kicked in and she tripped over the last person in the crowd’s feet. She fell forward sticking her hands out to catch her fall and her hair flying behind her.

Ace sat up opening his eyes so he could see his music player to change the sing he was listening to when he noticed a girl nearing the edge of the crowd on the opposite the side to him meaning she was going to the fountain when he saw that she tripped over the last person in the crowd’s feet and she was sent falling forward sticking her hands out to catch her fall and her hair flying behind her. Ace leap to his feet in one swift movement and then even jumped over the crowd landing right in front of the fountain leaving a trail of golden light particles as if he had a golden dust dispenser built into his body causing him to glow and even sparkle. He then caught the falling girl and pulled her up just before she reached the ground "Hey there are you okay?" the golden blonde haired and purple eyed wizard asked the girl with a warm smile.

Alyia had expected the cold harsh ground to meet her hands and scrape them up but instead of the hard ground Alyia found herself being pulled the opposite way and right side up. With her hair now covering her face she looked at her savior. He was tall and had blonde hair, but that was not what caught her attention. It was his eyes, his purple eyes that had a strange glow around the pupil that she noticed most about him. She watched as he offered her a warm smile and asked if she was okay. She pulled away from the man, “I’m fine,” She said rudely as she looked away from him. She didn’t want to get involved with another person. It would just mean that she would have to look after him as well. She was here to complete a job and go back home. She started to walk to the fountain but paused and looked back at the male, “Thank you though, for catching me. You didn’t have to.” The words escaped her mouth in a kind manor he voice sweet but quiet. Alyia froze at her own words and shook her head trying to snap out of whatever she thought she was in that made her say those words that way. She walked away from the blond man and to the fountain where she found herself sitting and thinking about what she had just done. ‘Stupid, stupid, stupid, what were you thinking.’

The girl pulled away from him after she pulled her up “I’m fine,” She said rudely not that Ace cared as she looked away from him, the girl started to walk to the fountain but paused and looked back at the male, “Thank you though, for catching me. You didn’t have to.” The words escaped her mouth in a kind manor he voice sweet but quiet. Alyia froze at her own words and shook her head, walked away from the him and sat down on the fountain "Hey, hey, hey don't worry about it. I just happened to be here waiting for someone and I couldn't stand by and watch a beauty like yourself get hurt." Ace chuckled as he sat down next to the girl still smiling warmly as if he was talking causally with a childhood friend enjoying every second of the conversation he was trying to start. "So are you at least going to tell me your name?"

The blonde female looked up at the man who had walked with her to the fountain after saving her. He had just asked her age. ‘Like hell I’m tellin-’ She started to think. “Alyia," her voice interrupted her thoughts and did exactly what she didn’t want it to. ‘Stupid voice!’ Alyia turned away from the blond man and went back into her own thoughts. Going into her thoughts Alyia started to think about the blond male next to her. "Hey, hey, hey don't worry about it. I just happened to be here waiting for someone and I couldn't stand by and watch a beauty like yourself get hurt." Alyia groaned and then stopped moving as one line repeated in her head. “I just happened to be here waiting for someone.” Could this be the person that she was supposed to be working with? ‘Oh please god no,’ she thought. But she turned to him. She had to make sure if it was him or not. “You asked me a question, now it’s my turn. Who are you waiting for. You said earlier that you were waiting for someone. Who is it?” This question would clear up why he was here and if he was was going to be her partner for the mission that she signed up for.

The blonde female looked up at him before answering  “Alyia," she then turned away from him, but she turned to  back to him “You asked me a question, now it’s my turn. Who are you waiting for. You said earlier that you were waiting for someone. Who is it?” she asked and Ace smirked as he rolled up the sleeve on his right arm revealing his guild mark tattoo is on the extensor digiti minimi sector of his right arm  which was the Fairy Tail crest purple in color "Nice to meet you Alyia, the name is Ace Archard and I am a Fairy Tail wizard." He said with what some people would call a stupid grin "I am waiting for a wizard from another wizard guild to do a job with them." he unrolled his sleeves before addressing Alyia again "So why were you curious about who I was waiting for?"

Alyia groaned inwardly as she heard him say that he was waiting for another wizard to join him on a job. ‘Nooo! Why me? Why him?’ Alyia let her head sag, her luck was not working for her. ‘Next thing I know when we’re picking out jewelry we’ll be mistaken as a couple.’ Alyia stood up from her spot and looked down at the mage who had saved her she might as well get this job over with. “Well, Ace? You don’t have to wait anymore. Alyia N. from Eclipse Soul is here and I’m your partner for today. Now let’s go.” Alyia looked away from Ace and to the crowded street. She shivered. There was no way that she was going to go back into that death crowd. Turning away from the street and back to her partner for today Alyia looked distressed. “Is there any other way to get to the Reniro Isle Jewelry Shop? A way that allows us not to walk through that?” The blonde girl asked as she pointed to the large crowd that continued to move behind her. Not only had that crowd shot her courage to walk through there again but it had also hurt. Several people had stepped on her hair and had gotten it wound around their legs.

Ace watched as Alyia stood up from her spot and looked down at him “Well, Ace? You don’t have to wait anymore. Alyia N. from Eclipse Soul is here and I’m your partner for today. Now let’s go.” Alyia looked away from him and to the crowded street when he noticed that she shivered, he then saw as she turned away from the street and back to her him looking rather distressed “Is there any other way to get to the Reniro Isle Jewelry Shop? A way that allows us not to walk through that?” Ace blinked with a blank expression as asked as Alyia pointed to the large crowd that continued to move behind her."So you don't like crowds huh?" Ace then rested his head on his hand and made a "hmmmm" as he thought "Well I an think of two ways there from here, the first being the flower walk along coast trial will bring us to a side street where we can take to the shop or I can carry you and run along the street lights and roof top." Ace then smiled once again "Well its your choice Alyia-chan~!"

Alyia did not like either one of the options but she had to choose one because if not it meant walking through the death crowd. With a sigh Alyia hung her head her hair covering her eyes. But her head snapped back upwards, her hair flying behind her, with a gleam in her eye. “I choose the second option. You can carry me to the shop.” Choosing the second option would not only freak out the people that were below them when they went, but it would also allow the blonde mage to be off the ground and higher in the air. Also, it meant that she didn’t have to worry about getting her hair tangled on something or being stepped on. Alyia cross her arms and looked at Ace. “You better not drop me though. If you drop me I will hurt you.” Alyia glared at the purple eyed man. She mean that threat. She may be small and light but that didn’t mean that it didn’t hurt hitting the ground or that she didn’t pack a punch.

With a sigh Alyia hung her head her hair covering her eyes. But her head snapped back upwards, her hair flying behind her, with a gleam in her eye. “I choose the second option. You can carry me to the shop.” she said before crossing her arms and looked at Ace. “You better not drop me though. If you drop me I will hurt you.” Alyia glared at him showing that she meant that threat, which caused him to laugh and smile back at her "HAHAHAHAHA! Alright sure, that sounds fair. I will just make sure I won't drop." He snickered before he literally swept Alyia off her feet carrying her in a bridal fashion before her ran and leaped into the air and landed with a single foot onto of the streetlamp before kicking off the it and repeated the process landing on the next street light landing on the opposite foot making it look like he was walking on the street lights taking long strides.

Alyia closed her eyes and clung tightly to Ace as he bound from street light to street light her hair flying behind the two mages. As soon as she had agreed and Ace had picked her up the blue eyed girl regretted it. She had forgotten that she hated being picked up. It just made her feel shorter than she already was. At least he said that he wasn’t going to drop her. That made her at least feel a little better. Cracking her eyes open Alyia looked around. She looked down and watched Ace place one foot on a street lamp and leap to the next. It was mesmerizing. Tearing her eyes away from the ground the blonde female looked up to the sky and watched the clouds pass by. After a few Alyia snapped out of her daze and looked at the man carrying her. “How long until we get to the store?”

Alyia looked at the him as he carried carrying her bounding from street light to street light her hair over his shoulder behind the two mages “How long until we get to the store?” Ace then suddenly stopped moving once he got to the next street light and then dropped down as if he took a simple step down a set of stairs and then he helped Alyia to her feet as he set her on the ground so that she would be standing upright making sure he didn't drop here "Well Alyia-chan I would say about...hmmmm....hmmmm....zero seconds." Ace smiled as he jested to the door of the Reniro Isle Jewellery Shop to the left of them, he noticed that the number of people around this street was less then around the fountain leaving no large crowds around the two of them apart from the couples that seemed to be coming up from the flower walk along coast trial. He then noticed the small crater he made upon landing on the ground and smiled nervously "So you ready to go in? Or do you need a minute or something?"

Alyia looked at the boy who had just carried her. The ride had been somewhat nice, at least her hair didn’t get tangled or stepped on. With a frown she headed towards the main door of the shop. “Let’s just get this over with,” Alyia answered glaring at the front door of the shop. “And don’t add chan to the end of my name.” Alyia shivered turning to Ace so that she could look into his purple eyes. “It just sounds weird.” Her eyes shifted back to the front of the jewelry shop. ‘Ugh. Why did he have to accept the job as well.’ She blew the long piece of her bangs out of her eyes and walked to the glass store door. She could see inside of the shop and she saw the thousands of pieces of jewelry scattered throughout the store. She looked back at Ace and motioned for him to come with her. “Come on, lets go. We don’t have all day.”

Ace noticed that with a frown Alyia headed towards the main door of the shop. “Let’s just get this over with,” told him glaring at the front door of the shop. “And don’t add chan to the end of my name.” she shivered as she turned to Ace so that she could look him in the eyes . “It just sounds weird.” He watched as she blew the long piece of her bangs out of her eyes and walked to the glass store door of a jewellery store. Ace walked up to the stores window and already he could see thousands of pieces of jewelry scattered throughout the store's window display. Alyia looked back at him and he saw her motioned for him to come with her. “Come on, lets go. We don’t have all day.” Ace nodded as he walked up and opened the door holding it open for her and another couple who were about to enter after he did allowing them to enter before he. Once he got inside his eyes widened as he walked around the store looking at the different types of jewellery the shop had on display not noticing that the jewels glowed faintly as he passed by as if there was an increase of light coming from his direction.

Alyia looked around the store in awe. There was more jewelry in there than she had initially thought. ‘How the hell will we know which one is the most exquisite?’ Alyia had walked over to some ruby jewels that were encased in metal making them into bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings. ‘They are all so pretty. I should steal one as a prank.’ The blonde shook her head to get rid of the thought. This was not the time nor the place for a prank. She had to find the best piece of Jewelry and get out of there. Moving from case to case Alyia looked at each selection of neck pieces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. ‘Ugh! Why do they all have to look pretty much all the same!’ Alyia thought as she moved to another case of jewelry. This box like all the others had one type of stone made into all types of jewelry. But, the stone i this one was much more colourful. Looking at the tag that stated to stone name Alyia read aloud, “Blue opal.”

Moving from case to case Ace looked at each selection of neck pieces, bracelets, earrings, and rings not noticing that the jewels glowed faintly as he passed by as if there was an increase of light coming from his direction, until he happened to pass a moonstone which began to glow brightly as he passed it. After seeing this he decided not to go over to the moonstone section again, he then noticed a stone that caught his eye called a Black Opal from a nearby display case and was going to walk over to it when he saw Alyia walk over to the display case and a name of a stone read aloud “Blue opal.” Ace sighed thinking it would be best if they pick to different gemstones. He decided to see what the other side of the store had to offer but as he walked past Alyia he spotted the stone she had named aloud and smirked "You know that opal that you are looking at is very similar to your eyes, blue and pretty." he then continued on not waiting to see her reaction to his comment and found a Morganite & Pink Sapphire Accent Ring which he picked up and brought it to the counter and then waited for Alyia  to make her choice so they could purchase their choices in one go before heading to the engravers.

ring:

Alyia could not believe what Ace had told her. Never in her life had she gotten a compliment about her eyes. The blonde female didn't know what to think. Looking at the jewelry for a couple more moments Alyia spotted a simple piece that had a bold elegance to it. Motioning to a person at the counter her pointed at the necklace. She continue to look at the piece as the counter person removed it from its glass case. Alyia held her hands out in anticipation for the piece of jewelry. As the necklace was placed into her hands Alyia could not take her eyes off of it. The way that the stone would flicker different colours in the light mesmerized her. Snapping out of her faze Alyia headed to the front counter to meet up with her blond companion. Placing the necklace on the counter next to the register Alyia took a quick peek of what Ace had chosen. He had chosen a ring with a light pink stone with a gold band and three smaller pink purple stones framing the junction of where the stone was and the band of the ring. It was pretty. She looked back at her own piece of jewelry it seemed simple in comparison.

Necklace:

Ace watched Alyia pointed at something within the glass case she was looking at and continued to look as the piece was removed it from its glass case by the shop keeper and placed into her hands. He saw her stand still for a moment as if she was in a trance before Alyia headed to the front counter to meet up with him, as she placed the necklace on the counter next to the what he had chosen. He saw Alyia look at his before she looked back at her own piece of jewellery Ace then guessed what she was thinking which caused him to chuckle softly "You know in a lot of cases most of the time less is more." he said as he handed the shop owner the credit card which had the price of the jewellery charged onto it, before the pieces of jewellery they picked out was handed back to them in velvet blue boxes. Ace then pocketed his choice and then turned to Alyia "You ready to go? After all we need to go get them engraved now."

Alyia nodded at Ace as she snatched the blue box that contained her jewelry piece off of the counter. She wondered where she was going to get the engraving. It would not be on the front of the stone. That would just ruin the shine that it held. It could be on the outside edge of the stone but that would be inconvenient. She wanted to put somewhere that the wearer could easily see it and that it could still stay hidden from other viewers. ‘The back you moron,’ she thought to herself. ‘Just engrave it on the back.’ Alyia wanted to hit her head on a wall. She was so stupid. With a sigh she fidgeted with the velvet box in her hands. It would be at that point that she would climb a building and just sit there  looking down at all of the people below her. But, she wasn’t alone and she needed to get the necklace engraved and placed on a balcony by tomorrow. The blonde girl looked up at the cashier. “Engravings. Where should I go to get one?” The cashier looked surprised at the question and gave her directions to where she could go to get and engraving. With a nod Alyia left the shop and headed down the sidewalk he blue box in hand.

Ace saw as Alyia sighed and fidgeted with the velvet box in her hands before she looked up at the cashier. “Engravings. Where should I go to get one?” Ace was going to speak up to say he already knew the way when the cashier looking surprised at the question gave her directions to where they could go to get and engraving. With a nod Alyia left the shop and headed down the sidewalk he blue box in hand, without even saying a word to him leaving him to catch up to her which took less then five seconds with Ace's speed. "Hey Alyia wait up will yea?" he said just as he caught up with her before he smiled "If I didn't know any better I'd say you were trying to get rid of me." Ace began to laugh softly at the end of his comment but he couldn't help but to wonder if that was the case."Are you okay?" Ace asked turning to make eye contact with Alyia "You were fidgeting in the stop as if you were in a nervous wreak back at the jewellery shop. If something is wrong you can talk to me if you want to. Also heads up the engravers is on the other side of Hargion but on the up side we past an awesome chocolate shop on the way."

Alyia shook her head at Ace’s first comment. She didn’t exactly want to lose him she just wanted to get out of that shop with all of the jewelry and she wanted to finish this job and get space between them. Everything was too tempting in that shop. With one quick hand she could have cause misery to several people in that shop. It’s not that she didn’t want to it was the fact that she had to finish this mission and that she had spent too much time around Ace. Enough time that she was starting to somewhat accept his company. But, as blue met purple she could not hold it in. “I pull pranks and cause people misfortune. If I had been in that shop any longer I would have stolen something and put this mission in jeopardy. Also, I was not trying to lose you I was trying to get space away from you I can’t get close to you.” She finished her explanation of why she wanted out of that shop, but paused for a second after remembering the second part of his sentence. Had he said chocolate? “Did you say chocolate?” Alyia asked, her eyes lighting up. She loved chocolate like nothing else in the world and an offer to get chocolate was an offer that she would never turn down.

Alyia shook her head at Ace’s first comment but, as blue met purple when they made eye contact she could not hold it in and looked away “I pull pranks and cause people misfortune. If I had been in that shop any longer I would have stolen something and put this mission in jeopardy. Also, I was not trying to lose you I was trying to get space away from you I can’t get close to you.” She finished her explanation of why she wanted out of that shop, Ace sighed upon hearing this "Even if you had stolen something I would have just stolen it off you and handed it back before it turns into a big deal or would have paid for it on the spot." He gave Alyia a small, soft, warm as he continued "I already had enough misfortune to last me ten life times so don't worry you wouldn't be able to cause me any more if you tried. So you don't need to be careful about getting close to me because if you haven't noticed I am pretty close to you right now." There was a pause between the time he finished talking and when Alyia began talking “Did you say chocolate?” Alyia asked, her eyes lighting up. "Hell yeah I said chocolate, I wouldn't joke about that it's my favourite of food after all!" He replied with a stupid grin "Only problem is that the chocolate shop and the engraver's is in that direction." Ace explain point to a crowded shopping street to their left

Alyia looked to where Ace had pointed and shivered. More crowds. But if it was for chocolate it was totally worth it. “Chocolate is definitely worth it,” the blonde girl said as she started off in the direction of the chocolate shop. Taking couple more steps Alyia stopped. She reached for her wrist and removed a hair tie. Lifting her hair up and maneuvering so that it had no bumps and that so that each strand was in her hand Alyia used the hair tie and put her hair up in a ponytail. “Lets go.” She took off into the crowd. But after a few steps the blonde girl was starting to regret advancing straight into the large group of people. She got on her tip toes and tried to see where the chocolate shop but it was no use she was too short. The crowd around her was bigger and more condensed than before and Alyia was starting to clutch the jewelry box in her hand tighter. She looked back and for trying to find an exit from the crowd. She would use her magic but there was too many people around her. A bumps came from behind her and Alyia fell forward. She was done. Sitting on her butt Alyia pulled her knees to her chest and hid her face in her arms. She wanted to go home.

Alyia looked to where Ace had pointed and shivered. “Chocolate is definitely worth it,” Alyia said and before he could say anything the blonde girl started off in the direction of the chocolate shop after taking couple more steps Alyia stopped reaching for her wrist and removed a hair tie. Lifting her hair up and maneuvering so that it had no bumps and that so that each strand was in her hand Alyia used the hair tie and put her hair up in a ponytail. “Lets go.” She took off into the crowd giving him no time to speak his suggestion of them walking along the roof tops to get there leaving him to chase after her. When he caught up with her Ace found Alyia sitting on her butt with her knees pulled up to her chest and hid her face in her arms. Ace lifted a fist making his hand shine brightly blinding those around him causing people to avoid him going around him, he dimmed the light once there was a circle of space around them measuring two metres in radius, he knelt down to her on one knee and extended a hand to her not saying any words just smiling to her warmly and unknowingly glowing faintly.
