Rin and Alyia's fabulous adventure

Alyia walked down the street in the town of Crocus. Why she was there? She had wanted to get away from her guild where she had developed a reputation of being a prankster. Walking down the street she looked back and forth at all of the shops decorating it's side and all of the people walking on the sidewalk along with her. Even though she had chosen the side that has the least amount of people the side walk still ended up being crowded. Due to her fear of crowds the blonde mage kept to the side and did not feel like pulling any pranks.

After a couple more blocks of the crowded streets the young mage could no longer stand it and took off down another road to where she knew a very isolated park surrounded by trees would be. As she walked to the park her urge to pull a prank started to emerge and Alyia redeemed the mischievous glint that she usually held in her eyes. Though the urge to go play a prank was strong the blonde girl continued her way to the park, she had had enough of large amounts of people to day and didn't think that she would be able to go back to the streets of Crocus. Reaching the park Alyia walked up to the tallest tree and reached for the closest branch. Seeing how is was just above her finger tips Alyia jumped and gripped the low branch. She swung herself up and continued to climb up the tree until she was near the very top.

Alyia had been looking up at the sky when she had heard the clanging of the lacrima vending machine. Quickly looking down the blonde mage saw another female sitting on a bench right below her sipping on the drink that she had gotten from the lacrima vending machine and looking at a magazine. Watching the girl below a prank popped into her head. Alyia’s head flew up as she looked in the tree for something to drop. Just to her luck the tree that she had been sitting in was a pine tree and had pine comes scattered throughout the branches. Gathering some in her hands Alyia dropped one by one down through the branches of the tree carefully angling the pine cones so that they wouldn’t hit the person and injure them below them but so that they would just startle them.

Alyia looked at the girl who was now standing before her then glanced at the ground. ‘How the hell did she get up here?’ Alyia thought as she looked back at the girl blonde girl standing in front of her. The blonde mage seemed to be angry, but none of the pinecones had even touched her. “I don’t know why you are so angry,” Alyia started, “none of the pinecones I dropped even touched you. None of them would have anyways, I positioned so that they would drop around you but not a one would actually hit you.” Alyia crossed her arms a scowl growing across her face. “All I wanted was some fun I don’t get people injured while I do that. Well, most of the time…” Alyia trailed off her last sentence.

After the lightning struck her head Alyia could no longer stay calm. She didn’t even hurt the woman and she went and shocked her like no tomorrow? She had barely kept from using one of her hell spells as the lightning girl talked about how she should be more aware of other’s feelings. ‘Fuck this shit,’ Alyia thought as she climbed higher into the tree. She needed to get away. ‘Where is Yukine when you need him,’ Alyia thought as she looked up at the sky. She really could use his broomstick right about now.

Alyia stayed in the tree for a few more moments the grumbled. She was not getting any less stressed out. Climbing down the tree Alyia had thought of the girl who she had pissed off. She was obviously a mage but Alyia had never seen her before in Eclipse Soul. Was she a traveling mage? No. She was much too skilled for that, she had to be a part of another guild. Reaching the final branch of the tree Alyia paused. ‘Why am I thinking of that stupid lightning freak?’ The blonde mage shook her head and jumped from the last branch and onto the ground. Since being up in her tree had not allowed her to calm down Alyia had punched the tree in anger.

Alyia had punched the tree several more times before she had even felt just a little bit better about the encounter that had just happened. Looking at the tree with a glare the blonde mage only felt more aggravated. “Tch,” the sound from her mouth was like poison. Without another thought the blonde mage threw another punch allowing for the dent she had already made to get bigger. With that she spun on her heel and left the park, with a scowl on her face, heading back into the crowded streets of Crocus. Alyia had wondered around for a small amount of time before she started to get paranoid again with the large crowd. Sure it wasn’t as large as it was before seeing how it was mid afternoon now, but it was still enough to make Alyia get the chills. Alyia weaved her way through the crowd in hopes of getting to her hotel that she had reserved for that night. But in the midst of her weaving Alyia had suddenly run into someone, it seemed the person had just walked out of the store and was trying to maneuver her way back into the crowd. With a sigh Alyia looked down extending her hand. “Sor-“ Alyia had stopped the word from ever finishing the exit from her mouth as she saw just who she had accidentally knocked down. A sudden growl ground out from the back of her throat. Of course out of all the people that she had had to run into it just had to be lightning freak. Sucking up her irritation Alyia continued to hold out her hand to the girl sitting on the ground. Alyia could tell that a smirk had started to appear on her face in acknowledgement that this girl in front of her had large reactions to small things. Trying to postpone the smirk Alyia head her other hand to her face.

Alyia glared after the female mage. Alyia had tried to be nice and help her stand up but it seemed as if the other mage could not forgive and forget easily. With another growl rumbling out of her throat the short mage headed for the train station.  Sure she had made reservations at a hotel so that she could stay in Crocus for a night, but after what had happened today Alyia wanted to get home as fast as she could. Home to where she could play pranks on everyone and they would accept it, home to where her new partner was waiting to go on another mission so that he didn’t have to worry about being seem by the rest of the guild, home to where the mountains surrounded her and she didn’t have to deal with all of the crowds. The blonde weaved through the crowd at a fast pace and found her way towards the station. With a glare on her face Alyia bought a ticket from the scared ticket holder and waited for the train to come and take her back home.

When the train finally did come Alyia moved quickly to get on the train. Being on the train immediately made her feel better; she was going to be out of this crowded place and she was most likely never going to see that lightning freak ever again. ‘This is why you don’t have friends, you are too mean and you are cold and cocky to everyone,’ one side of Alyia’s mind thought. ‘Shut up,’ the other side countered. ‘What’s wrong with being nice and making friends?’ ‘Everything. Friends cause you to think about others when you are trying to protect yourself they expect you to be kind to them at all times and they want you to spend time with them and their other friends.’ Finding an empty carriage Alyia sat down and looked out the window, she was glad she was heading home.

Alyia had heard the car door slide open and a person walk in and sit down on the empty seat across from her. With a quick glance away from the window the blonde mage saw the person she had never wanted to see again. With a silent curse Alyia looked back to the window. ‘The world hates me doesn’t it,’ Alyia thought as she glared out the window. She didn’t even make a motion to greet the girl across from her or even acknowledge her presence. Her blue eyes flickered back to the golden haired girl sitting across from her. It seemed, no matter where Alyia had been the blonde girl was there too; as if the universe was determined to bring those two together. With a small sigh Alyia turned away from the window and faced the girl who sat across from her. ‘Might as well let the universe get what it wants,’ the white blonde haired mage thought, ‘Or else it might start to do weird things with my life that I don’t want to happen.’ Alyia opened her mouth to speak just as the train started to move. “I think that the universe wants to seriously piss us off, huh?” The female mage said to the person sitting across from her.

Alyia watched with suspicion as the girl walked off the train in a hurry. The blonde girl was pretty sure that she had gotten on the right train but she just didn't want to be next to Alyia. The blonde girl rolled her eyes at the immaturity of the lighting freak and looked back outside of the window at all of the people at the station. 'It shouldn't matter now, I'll be home soon and back with Deniel, my annoying cock jerk of a partner,' Alyia thought as she tried to forget the strawberry blonde girl that she had run into several times. With a deep breath Alyia closed her dark blue eyes as the train headed home to the base of Phoenix Mountain. 'At least it's unlikely that I will see her again.'
