New Beginning

A young girl stood in front of Nox Animus's guild hall with a paper in her hand. Her name was Saki. Earlier that week, Nox Animus's guild master had approached her and convinced her to join. She had originally intended to join Blue Pegasus since they had a good reputation. At first, Saki was against joining a dark guild since a dark guild had killed her parents and almost killed her. It took a while, but the guild master had finally convinced the young girl that Nox Animus was a neutral guild that may have a slight preference to the dark side, but had good intentions. After thinking it over, Saki had agreed to join Nox Animus.

Saki double checked the address written on the piece of paper she was carrying. "This is it." she said to herself. Taking a deep breath, Saki opened the doors and prepared herself for a new beginning.

Hana sat alone by a table in the guild hall, various books piled up in front of her. Currently, she was flipping through a book on botany, but she didn't seem to be reading it. Rather, she was simply scanning the lines, more focused in her thoughts instead of the book before her. Where had Alexander gone to? Had he abandoned them? Or had someone taken him away from them, from Nox Animus?

She snapped out of her thoughts as soon as the door to the guild hall open, hoping that Alexander had returned, but was dissapointed to see someone whom she'd never seen in the guild before. The black-haired girl was most likely a new member. Hana scowled. That new brat had better not leave them as soon as she joined. Hana was sick of having guild members leave as soon as they had joined. "Just give 'em one more chance. If they choose to leave, then it's their loss. It's not even our problem either way." Asarael's voice echoed in her mind. Deciding to heed his advice, and hoping that this would distract her from thinking about other more depressing matters, she got up from her seat. The pink-haired maiden walked towards the girl, cold, alluring red eyes looking down at the child, as if staring right into her very soul."Please state your name and purpose for being here, miss." she spoke in a monotonous voice.

John walked towards the guild hall and saw a black-haired girl enter the doors of Nox Animus and Hana approach her, he sighed and shook his head as he heard her single tone voice ask the young girl about her name and purpose. As he got closer he looked at the two and when he was about to pass Hana he stopped briefly and looked at Hana and Saki before shrugging and walking into the hall and towards his regular table where he uncorked a whiskey bottle, poured some to a glass and then sipped it silently.
