Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander - Page 3 Empty Re: Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander

Post by Felicity 5th August 2014, 3:50 am

Aedre felt the stinging pain all through her legs, and she heard the rush of air pressed out of her lungs when she landed on the hard stone against her back. There was a strong realization that she must react without delay, but the glare of the fire and the man's sudden strike had left her disoriented. She felt herself being dragged along the stone, felt the intensity of the heat increasing and simply pursed her lips together. The woman managed to lift her head just in time to view her tangled feet entering the demon fire.
"And so I die." She stated flatly, while shutting her eyes tightly in anticipation of pain and burns.
But, miraculously, her legs did not burn. Infact, the Slayer didn't feel any kind of warmth that she expected in the first place.
Drooling to hear the agonized screams of his helpless victim, the man gave a stronger tug on the whip and pulled Aedre completely into the flames. Though she was totally immolated, the Slayer barely even felt the fire. It was as if the existence of the flames had been wiped clean for her. And then, with a final hiss of protest, the hot flames suddenly died away.
Neither of the opponents understood what had happened, both assuming that the other had been responsible.
Aedre decided to strike faster this time, now that her vision had bettered itself and she could seem much clearly. Besides, the presence of Orel seemed to have pumped a greater amount of confidence in this battle.
Hissing like water on fire, Aedre's blade entered the man's knee joint. The hilt of the weapon heated up when the blade tore into his flesh, nearly burning Aedre's hand. Then it grew icy cold, as though dousing his hot life force with a cold strength of its own. The woman had a faint idea about what had extinguished the fires.
Poseidon wasn't totally useless as a parent afterall. The slight pain that had made her wince earlier, was finally showing its boons.
The man gaped in blank horror, then screamed in agony. Never had he felt such a sting! He leaped back and tossed about wildly, trying to escape the weapon's terrible bite, dragging Aedre, who could not let go of the hilt. At the same moment, she heard a loud thud on the floor beside her- only to see the shadow of Orel having crushed one of the hellhounds into the ground.
Aedre eyed the wound incredulously as the man backed away. Steam poured from the hole in his knee, and the edges of the cut seemed to leak some watery substance. Apparently, Excalibur had decided to show its powers at this crucial moment.
Soon after, Aedre found herself standing up and lunging forward, blade fully extended before her, as if pulled by the blade's hunger to feel flesh and blood once again.
There was not enough time to react for the man, as Elucidator found the his belly and passed through it cleanly. The explosive surge as the blade touched the core of the man's life force; his heart- sent Aedre staggering several steps back while she watched him stumble and then fall down to a pathetic death.

The scene of her opponent succumbing to death, his blood spilling and decorating the floor- was a beautiful and satisfactory sight in Aedre's eyes. A sly smile formed on her lips, as she slid Elucidator on Excalibur, causing a light buzzing noise to occur due to the metal nature of both.
However, fate would never allow too much enjoyment for the white-haired woman. Apparently, they were mortal enemies and would forever remain so. With a loud roar, one of the hell-hounds tried to grab her attention- as it circled all around her, similar to a tiger planning an attack on its weak little prey.
But little did this tiger know, that he as the predator was going to be a prey. Afterall, Aedre only needed two seconds to flip this battle completely to her side. With a curt nod in the hellhound's direction, as if to warn him of the peril that awaited; the woman sent a substantial amount of magic energy flowing into both her swords and thus causing them to glow with an ethereal light that was a shade of dark blue. At the same time, her pupils would change color, shifting from their usual bright-green to a raven black and an incandescent blue on the other. The light around the blade ceases into nothingness and at that very moment, the hellhound pounced in Aedre's direction- only to pass through air and then land heavily on the ground.
Suddenly, out of thin air- she appeared behind the creature, trying to stab her sword in its back, but failing to do so, as it made a yelping noise and slid to a side in an attempt to dodge.
"You have some praiseworthy observation buddy." She said honestly, as the hound attempted to snap its jaws at her and Aedre only ended up disappearing once again. This time her return was delayed by a second or two and the creature turned fully around, expecting the tricky woman to backstab him again. But alas, Aedre appeared back to her previous position itself and her sword stabbed straight into the back of the hound, possibly just centimeters away from its spine.
The hellhound let out a huge roar and a lava-like liquid seeped out of the deep wound, perhaps the blood of the creature. Aedre had already disappeared into thin air though and the next moment she came back, her swords worked in flashes- so quick that a normal eye could barely percept the movement. The dull red light from the lava below just shone on the blades for a fraction of a second, before Aedre's frame moved away and attacked the hellhound from another direction.

Post by Felicity 9th August 2014, 5:08 am

Slashes and stabs followed in quick succession, not giving much chance to the hellhound to retaliate- and it really wasn't long before the creature fell down and curled into a ball, mewling with pain, as a substantial amount of what only seemed to be its blood dripped onto the floor.
'Time to end this.' The woman mused within her head, while pushing the blade of one of her swords into the volcanic ground- thus letting it be held securely.
At the same time, two small swirls of water would snake its way from Aedre's wrists upto the tips of her fingers and extend forward to form three inch long claws made of pressurized water that was continuously in motion. It was much similar to a chainsaw, but would apprarently cut much cleaner. These swirls enveloped both her arms thickly in bands of water, forming the shape of a demonic arm, with a clawed hand and a few spikes along it's form.
With only a muffled growl echoing in the place, Aedre's other sword pierced through the hellhound's gut; sending him into a state where he would slowly and painfully succumb to death.
The white-haired female would pull out both the blades out, one from body of the dying hellhound, while the other from the ground and just as she turned around, her vision met hound bounding in her direction. Supposedly, it had managed to miss Orel's attention; for the eagle was still busy fighting another one.
'One. Two. Three.' The woman counted the ticking seconds, just before using the last jump that the ability of the sword left at her disposal.
The charging creature wasn't as observant or smart enough as his previous counterpart, for this one rammed itself into the volcanic wall that stood high and mighty behind Aedre's previous position.
Before it could recover from the impact or move a single muscle in its rippling body, the Slayer had appeared behind him- this time her hands empty, for she no longer carried her trust-worthy swords with her. The hound would only feel a crippling pain at the base of its neck, as Aedre's claws dug inside it and pulled back swiftly.
The hound roared dangerously, turning around with lightning fast speed; driven by its anger, as he tried to snap his jaws at the Slayer, who actually managed to grab hold of its entire mouth with both her hands.
"Ya'll bark too much." She mentioned, while pulling both the upper and lower jaw in a vertical direction mercilessly. Her basic strength, with a bonus from her Slayer blood and the claws was worthy enough of tearing away nearly the entire head of the hound into two clean pieces. The creature's teeth failed to cut her skin or anything, since the claws did well in their job of protecting.
She did feel her grip weakening a bit though, mostly because the hound had started to tremble and shake its head terribly. So without much adieu, Aedre sent a colossal burst of water within its maw and successfully tearing off its head into two pieces due to the added force. The body fell down onto the floor with a thud, as lifeless as possible; except for the slight movement of one of the legs- which was nothing but the last few reflexive movements of a body in its death-bed.
Aedre on the other hand, was left holding the two teared off parts and she only ended up throwing them away in disgust. Her tongue clicked in disappointment as she observed Orel kicking the hellhound that he was dealing with into the lava river below.
"See? Stuff gets so much easier in my presence." The eagle boasted, while folding his hands over his chest.

The egoistic statement made the woman smile slightly, at the simple fact that Orel was actually the one saying something like that. As far as she knew, he was quiet and reserved, holding some keys and secrets to Aedre's life, but also choosing to keep quiet over it. That was the only thing that annoyed the white-haired female, for she didn't like the amount of secretiveness in his behavior. From the day they met, they had always been unusually communicative; yet in a reserved way. It was similar to Aedre's relationship with Nero, or well, Poseidon; however one saw him. As far as she was concerned, honesty with a person they knew was one of the most necessary aspects of maintaining a mutually benefiting relation. However, Orel or Poseidon, both were stubborn enough to not realize this at all. The transparency that Aedre yearned for wasn't really given to her, something that caused a spark of anger and impatience within the woman; without her own knowledge.
Besides, Orel always tried to correct her, for sometimes, in the heat of battle or a tough situation, Aedre went out of her normal ways and took decisions on the spur of the moment. Usually these decisions were wrong from every angle, enough to get her into deep trouble. But thankfully, she had someone as tactful as the eagle and she could blindly trust on him with such matters. It was a could though, because to the creature's as well as Poseidon's great dismay, Aedre rarely placed complete trust on anyone.
A part of her personality that she herself loved, since it helped her get behind people's eyeballs.
Her smile morphed into a small grin, "You're my hero afterall~ Always here to save the day while I play the damsel in distress... right?" She placed a rhetorical question, while chuckling softly at her own marvelous acting that seemed to come out of a well-made skit.
"You killed the vibes, kid." The eagle stated, while proceeding to move ahead in a straight direction. For some reason, that seemed to be the only way to finding the demon of Adromalech; since the entire place only had an exit and the little way that Aedre could see ahead of her.
Ofcourse, going back was not an option.
But, perhaps, going ahead wasn't going to be easy either.
With low, gurgling growls in their throats, a trio of hellhounds appeared infront of Aedre and her companion, accompanied by one of those cultist men. However, this time, the sound of the rumbling earth gave off a very important warning.
"So, you've got some help this time, eh?"

Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander - Page 3 Empty Re: Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander

Post by Felicity 11th August 2014, 12:34 am

The ground rumbled strongly, shook and cracked in the process. It was just like the last time and Aedre already knew what was going to appear next. The gigantic humanoids made of lava and rock were a mess to deal with, but the fact that Aedre wielded the power of the oceans and seas proved to be a helping factor.
The crack at one end of the creek spread forth, travelling in the direction of Aedre and Orel and as it passed by them, it sort of separated them from each other. The crack laid right in between them and just as it had divided this duo, it also separated the trio of hellhounds and the cultist. At the moment, two of the hellhounds stood on Orel's side- while another group of a cultist and a hound on the Slayer's side.
The bright green orbs shifted slightly, taking note of the place where the Cherufe was most likely to appear. The woman's mind was already busy formulating a way of defeating the massive creature, since she also had the task of dealing with these two pain-in-the-asses first.
"Let's see who reaches the Cherufe first Orel!" Aedre challenged, letting a cocky grin spread across her face as she glanced at the eagle for a single second.
Without another word, she brought her hands close to each other as the air around her caught speed, swiveling around her frame as a small orb of incandescent water took birth in her hands. Still keeping contact between the tips of her fingers, the woman slowly brought separation to her palms; so an onlooker would see a beach ball sized, fluid sphere in her hand. Aedre's eyes shifted between the Cherufe who was still trying to come up, the cultist and the hellhound; and then simply flailed her hands back. A second later, Aedre released the sphere in the air, making it float twenty meters above the ground.
The cultist looked above, perhaps marveling about the spell as the Slayer dashed forth in the direction of her adversaries, the ground nearly crunching at the woman's raw push on it. The wind would swirl behind her in the shape of a helix, as she'd swing a left hook at the cultist, then plant her foot and whirl back the other way through the air with a spinning heel kick aimed for the side of his face.
She'd keep this momentum, going for two gut punches and then rising into a shattering uppercut. Aedre would go forward past him from the uppercut; attempting to grab the man by his robes. As soon as she caught a hold, Aedre would whirl him around and slam his face straight into the ground.
    "Taste some dirt baby~"

The cultist's face might have been pretty much bloodied and nearly done for; having been slammed into the ground with all of Aedre's massive Slayer strength. However, to his great bad luck, the woman held no mercy at all- for she picked him back up and landed an earth-shattering kick to his gut with her knee.
"And now..." The woman began to mutter softly, so that the only person who could hear her was the cultist himself, "... Taste some lava." She ended, while whirling the man one last time and then loosening her grip all of a sudden to send him straight down the creek and into the lava valley that stood open on one side.
At the exact same time, the water orb above would pulsate strongly for a second, before degenerating into twenty streams of water with arrow-like tips. Nearly fifteen of them shot for the hellhound that stood in a crouched position, all set to charge at Aedre as soon as she came to a standstill. While the arrows crashed on top of the hound, it pushed him down onto the floor- dozing it with water and causing hot steam to rise from its body.
The five remaining arrows shot in the direction of the Cherufe that was stil rising slowly and surely from the ground. The lump of lava and rock had started to actually take a more humanoid shape and Aedre could already see that the threat wasn't too far from approaching her.
Well, a threat when you consider the fact that the hellhounds and the cultists didn't really match up to the Cherufe.
The Slayer was a tad bit too focused on the bigger monster, it seemed; for the hellhound had taken a chance and snapped its jaws at her arm- perhaps making really deep bite marks in her skin. Aedre clenched her teeht together though, not being the type to actually show any kind of weakness to her enemies. Regardless, if the adversary could actually see it as a victory or not.
Her other hand did move in self-defense though, as she grabbed the upper jaw of the hound and wrenched his mouth open, while quickly removing her arm from its teeth grip. Surprisingly, the moment she pulled it back, the skin on Aedre's upper arm healed itself, once again, showing the beauty of unblemished skin.
Apparently, Poseidon's little gift had much more uses than Aedre comprehended in the first place.
With a smirk gracing her lips, the white-haired female landed a uppercut on the hound's lower jaw- sending it stumbling away a little distance.

Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander - Page 3 Empty Re: Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander

Post by Felicity 11th August 2014, 2:39 am

Aedre closed the distance once again, this time with a substantial amount of blue aura swirling around her foot. Her magical energy seemed to consolidate in that particular area, while also morphing into thick bands of water that moved in a rotating fashion around her foot.
The woman turned around slightly, her leg being sent into the air and then landing a bone-cracking kick on the hellhound's head, thus crashing him straight into the ground.
"Payback? Check." She quipped, while noticing that the creature had already been lulled to unconsciousness- for a great amount of lava-like liquid kept seeping out of its mouth, which Aedre had considered to be these creature's blood in the first place.

Orel was gliding smoothly through the air, as if trying to shed the wind into pieces; all with the help of two massive wings that jutted out of his back. There were certain perks of being a bird, incase you're wondering.
The avian took a full circle around the battlefield- analyzing all possible ways with which he could kick these creature's asses. By the time he settled back on the ground, one of the hounds crouched down and leaped in. The eagle planted his foot, and delivered a massive haymaker to its face and as it began to open its jaw to snap at the avian, Orel had already sent it tumbling backward and away from him. The other came in as Orel stepped to the right and delivered a shattering right hook to the side of its head and heard it mewl while flying off to the left.
The first one was back by then and the bird had already leaped forward in a single frontflip, and extended his leg into a stomp kick. Crushing right through the hound, he turned and batted the second one, catching it in a open knuckle backhand as he spun and extended both his arms.
Orel then back pedaled away, dodging the hounds who were now back on their feet after those massive combo hits from the beast's side. They were now starting to show signs of real trouble, because of Orel so easily ripping through their defenses and even causing some serious bruises due to his immense physical strength. For a split second, the creatures might have considered themselves too superior to some eagle-like beast; thus making sure to try their very best at defeating him. But, alas, it would never be that easy to take something like Orel down to his knees.
By then, first hellhound jumped in and Orel performed a hopping step kick into its lower jaw, causing the creature to stare straight into the night sky due to the shock; but by then, Orel had already planted and stepped forward, thus delivering a close, earth shattering punch to the other hound's exposed gut and thus causing it to crash into the ground and even form a fair-sized crater.

Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander - Page 3 Empty Re: Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander

Post by Felicity 11th August 2014, 3:35 am

The Cherufe emerged fully, just as grand and intimidating as the last one- yet not as loud as the last one. For a single second, when Aedre comprehended that part; a sigh of relief escaped her lips.
'The last one was no less than a Banshee.' She mused within her head, while turning to look at Orel, who still had one hellhound to deal with.
"Sorry but you were too slow, Orel!" She exclaimed, while watching the eagle struggle with the vicious creature.
"So what if you defeat me here... I can still beat you when it comes to finishing food faster." The eagle spoke, while holding the helllhound at bay with his single arm; as if actually trying to piss the creature off.
The white-haired woman sweat-dropped, clearly finding herself in a tough and messy little spot. Yes, even Aedre couldn't defeat Orel when it came to verbal sparring or bringing people face-toface with certain realities of their life; especially if they were embarrassing realities.
With a click of her tongue, she focused back on the Cherufe- who had now managed to erect some sort of a hammer-shaped object out of rock and lava, ofcourse of a really massive size just like its maker.
Before Aedre could figure out what she had to do next, the creature sent the hammer flying in her direction- letting out a loud battle cry along with this action. The Slayer cringed, while crouching as low as possible and hoping that the thing wouldn't hit her. It would only atake a fool to not realize the effects if the hammer were to ever be thrown at a human being.
A loud, echoing crash range in the immediate area- rocks crumbled and rolled all around and for a second, anyone could have feared that another Cherufe was going to rise in the direction behind Aedre.
By now, the Slayer had straightened up and had cast a glance at the destruction that took place due to that simple throw. Now, it was only up to the woman's brilliant imagination to think of what next her opponent could come up with.
'This needs to be taken care of quicker.' She concluded, understanding that the more time she would give the colossal creature, the more of a threat it will pose. Besides, she already knew of the biggest downside of a massive size- the severe lack of speed and preciseness.
The woman stretched her hands out in front, aiming in the general direction of the Cherufe and closing her eyes for a single second, "Twin Waves." She muttered under her breath, as a dark blue magic circle appeared beneath the monstrosity and a massive amount of magical energy could be felt concentrating on the floor of the place.
"I always felt that you things needed to take a shower."

With that statement, Aedre crossed her arms over each other- as two colossal waves of water emerged out of the ground on either sides of the Cherufe- roared with the sound similar to Rogue waves crashing against a shore and then proceeded to clash on the creature at the same time.
The water splashed all around, dousing the glowing lava that could be previously seen around its body. As expected, steam rose at the contact of water and fire- a hissing noise echoing in the area, while soon getting some company from the shrieks of the Cherufe itself.
Aedre cringed instinctively, 'Their mommas really forgot to teach them social etiquette--- screaming like that.'

Orel had just been approached with a strong jet of fire, expelled from the hellhound's mouth; as it had tried its best spit out its rage and hurt the beast in some way. Orel had glided to one side though, while the wings on his back unfurled with all their glory once again. A wide and lush wingspan was what the avian possessed and none of this glory shied away from viewers.
Taking off into the air, the avian swept the hound away from the ground. His claws held the creature quite tightly and securely, causing it to growl and snap its teeth in anger and a desperate attempt to case harm. Utterly futile it was, because Orel's claws continued to dig into its very skin with the same strength that would let it slide through metal. It was like a hot knife working on a slab of butter, but instead of the slab being divided into two pieces, Orel's action brought forth a red, lava-like, glowing liquid that seeped through the eagle's skin and caused a slight amount of pain. But, it wasn't strong enough to stop the beast in any way. He was just too focused on the task at hand to ever care about his own personal safety either. It was just a question of finishing the task here.
"So, have you ever flown before?" Orel's commanding, yet soothing voice inquired, as his pupils dilated when he flew side-by-side to the volcanic wall.
"I hope the answer was a no!" The eagle quipped, while spinning quickly in mid-air and whirling the hound into the wall itself. The creature hit the obstruction with a loud thud, while causing a crater to appear on the wall. However, it was nothing to be marveled at; since it had already drifted into a state of unconsciousness and slid down the wall slowly and painfully, only to end up on the ground in a pathetic condition.

Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander - Page 3 Empty Re: Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander

Post by Felicity 11th August 2014, 5:40 am

As soon as the Cherufe was done with its agonizing screams and shouts, a wave of relief washed over Aedre- as she watched the creature moving forth at a decent speed, as it raised its arm at a greater height and tried to bring it down on Aedre.
But, the woman was just a tad bit too fast- for she took a single step out of the way and let the fist crash down in the floor next to her. The impact caused the ground to crack and tilt in one direction and Aedre slid further away, while balancing her body by placing one of her hands on the ground for support.
For some reason, a small grin spread across her face; as if she had just thought of something absolutely brilliant. The hand on the ground was suddenly encased in a blue glow and it was pushed further into the ground, so much so, that Aedre's palm was securely held in place by the floor.
There was a delay of a single second, as the sound of roaring water was to be heard in the area and Aedre simply pulled out her hand with all her strength. The ground on which she stood stabilized a bit and the white-haired woman straightened herself up- the smug little grin still intact on her face.
Suddenly, an expanding reverse of water surged out of the ground beneath the Cherufe- completely blocking it from Aedre's view for a few dozen seconds; since the Geyser worked as a wall.
The only sound that she could hear was a strange gurgling one, much similar to how a person would sound if they had their head forced into water and were trying to speak. Perhaps, the monster was busy screaming its throat off once again.
But, Aedre wouldn't let him have another chance of retaliating with another attack- so in a couple of seconds, thick bands of swirling water could be seen wrapping around Aedre's arms and soon morphing her entire hands into streams of dark blue liquid. Without a second thought, she lunged forward at her opponent- crashing one of the streams into the ground and launching herself in the air. The white-haired woman did a quick flip mid-air, successfully landing the jets of water on the Cherufe, with crashes so hard that loud thuds echoed due to the sheer impact of the spell's raw power and the monster's thick body.
The Geyser had ceased out of existence a couple of seconds before Aedre attacked with her next spell, but there was thick mist floating in the air. In its wake, the beast was only in for more agonizing damage to its body; since the fog was like some poisonous gas that will continue to cause damage until it actually thinned off.

The biggest advantage that Aedre currently had against the Cherufe was the fact that she wielded the power of Poseidon; capable of bending water to her very will. This actually set the monster's destruction in stone- since it was nearly impossible for fire to hold its own defense in a battle with water.
The Cherufe, just like his unlucky counterpart from before, started to have some parts of its body falling apart, while it screamed in agony. A sly smile formed on Aedre's features; an aspect that was almost becoming a trademark from her part.
"Crumbling to dust- I wrote that in your fate." She claimed, as the bright green hues fixated on the eagle that stood right behind the Cherufe's mighty form. Holding a steady bow, with an arrow ready to be fired, Aedre could understand Orel's willingness to finish this adversary of theirs off.
It seemed, as if the white-haired woman had now inherited the avian's ability to read the other's mind. In reality though, it was only the ability to understand the working's and way's of the eagle with the substantial amount of time that they had spent together.
The Slayer had already landed on hard ground by now and she took a few steps back to enjoy the show of pain when Orel's arrow pierced the Cherufe's head from the backside; causing Aedre's upper lip to curl in disdain.
"Fun time is over." A female voice spoke just behind Aedre, or more like, just a hair apart from one of her ears. She felt the unwelcoming, yet warm breath on her side and quickly turned while backpedaling away. Instinctively as it was, the woman took a hostile battle stance.
Her heart took an unmistakable leap, 'Finally.'
The upper body of a human and a snake below, with skin that was scaled to the very tips; a dull shade of green and yellow. There were hints of blood-red here and there, as if trying to highlight and induce a certain amount of an intimidating aura. Six arms jutted out of the demoness's sides, each holding a different weapon or a bright orb of flame. There was also this delicate femininity to her face, a feature that looked completely out-of-place and was nearly destroyed by the toothy smile that bared her fang.
"I managed to make a ruckus enough to bring you forth, Marilith. This is an achievement I ought to be proud of." Aedre stated, her voice nonchalant and unwavering, having her initial fear melt down in an instant.
'So she is the anchor that Alexander spoke about.' Aedre mused in her head, having identified the demoness correctly due to the detailed descriptions in Poseidon's diary.

All of a sudden, a magic circle was visible beneath Aedre's feet- and it cast a grim, dark blue light over the woman's frame. A malicious, half-formed grin slithered up her lips; as she dauntingly stared at her opponent. The Marilith was no less though and she gave back an equivalent expression; downright priceless. This was probably the fight that Aedre was waiting for her entire life.
Someone stronger than her, someone that she could go all out with, someone that she wouldn't minding ripping the heart out of and above anything else, someone who could be deemed as a worthy opponent. Atleast, the demoness would be capable of instilling a sense of fear for her own life in Aedre- something that she was yet to experience.
Besides, this fight would be uninterrupted; the biggest cookie point ever.
Aedre's body looked like a mere outline now, as she glowed with a blinding light. She also gave out a nauseous aura, something that might have made even the Marilith flinch for a single second. The demoness was afterall not used to being the victim of intimidation- she had always been the one responsible for it, the one responsible for making her opponents crawl in fear.
The light ceased and what stood before the demon's eyes broke the scale of astounding by a notch.
Aedre seemed to have traded her clothes for a more demonic appearance- a because an attire made of metal would be covering her chest till the very tips of her feet. Hands were replaced by lethal claws that were made of the same material that covered her body. Leaving a bit of open skin near her cleavage, the area around the neck would be protected by a collar of-sorts that was blessed with pointed tips extending to the back of Aedre's head. Two seemingly half-formed wings jutted out from her back, perhaps lending the ability to fly. At the same time, a thin and sleek tail, a couple of meters long if stretched accompanied this form- perfecting itself for offense by a sharp spear-head-like tip.
Aedre's grin widened a fraction more, as she hovered a few feet above the ground, her tail wildly swishing with a measured grace behind her.
"Only a God can defeat a demon, right?" She questioned rhetorically, pushing one of her feet's sharp tip into the ground below- thus making it crack destructively.
"Hah! You really tried to make this fight the best of all. I'm all excited now~" The demoness spoke, letting a smirk grace her lips while moving some of her weapons with a flourish in her half a dozen hands.
    "So am I."

The woman's body seemed to be a haze for a second, before it burst with a small force- disintegrating to millions and millions of water droplets that weren't even visible to any eye.
A second later, Aedre had appeared just above the Marilith and landed a forward flipping stomp kick. Planting her heel down hard, the Slayer spun on her other foot and landed an earth-shattering spin kick to her face. With a small smirk upon her features, Aedre used the momentum and landed on the ground while sliding away- trying to hold her grip on the floor with her hand.
"I see that you don't play fair, young lady~" The Marilith stated, while raising an arm that held a battle-axe. She brought it down hard, but Aedre was just a tad bit faster and was lucky enough to dodge the attack just in time. She was in a position with one of her knees on the ground; being provided with balance by her other feet that dug securely into the ground. When the axe came in her direction, Aedre stepped with her feet to one side- so strongly, that inertia sent her farther than she expected to. However, not really interested in losing an opportunity to strike when her opponent was busy trying to remove the weapon that had lodged into the floor; Aedre made a sharp turn. Now, instead of going farther in a direction, the white-haired lady closed in on the demoness- this time landing a strong, magically-enhanced punch into the Marilith's gut and pulling her away with it.
The Slayer's wings had flapped at this crucial moment and she had opened her palm in due time, thus using her claws to dig into the demon's skin.
'Hooked.' Aedre informed herself, while using this advantage to further pull the Marilith along with her, only to end up slamming her into a volcanic rock wall.
The impact caused the wall to crack- creating a shallow crater, as Aedre heard her opponent breathing heavily from exhaustion.
"Tired already?" She questioned, as her hand came out of the demon's gut and closed in around her neck in a vice-like grip.
The Marilith groaned, causing Aedre to chuckle under her breath- the blood-hungry look in her eyes intensifying faster with each passing moment.
Perhaps, the demoness sensed this too, so under the not-so-watchful gaze of Aedre- she had managed to point her sword at a deadly angle for the Slayer.
With a quick grunt, the monster pushed the sword to the place where she expected Aedre's stomach to be- since she was incapable of looking herself; thanks to the God Slayer who held her neck and forced her to look at a higher angle.
A sharp intake of breath and Aedre pulled back from the demoness, her grip on her adversary's neck loosening all of a sudden as she staggered back. Blood poured out of the wound and the woman only felt the sharp sting at the moment, but she knew, the attack was cruel and intelligently dealt. Maybe even lethal if it caused too much blood loss.

Post by Felicity 18th August 2014, 3:29 am

There was certain warmth to the blood that poured out, making Aedre clasp her hand stronger on the wound to prevent its flow as much as possible. Indeed, that action made the pain worse; but it was an instinctive act of survival for the current situation.
The woman mentally cursed, taking a look at her opponent standing perfectly fine now. The demoness had straightened herself up and was busy swinging her sword arm in rotating motions, as if trying to stretch out or something.
However, the white-haired woman was in for the shock of her life, as a cold sensation seemed to spiral through her body- concentrating near the deep wound that had been caused by the Marilith's sword.
Aedre looked down, moving her hands a bit away for the purpose of observing; only to see that the wound was slowly closing itself off and blood had nearly ceased coming out. A second later, her skin was as flawless as it was in the beginning.
'I hope you understand who's responsible.' Orel's voice spoke inside her head, causing Aedre to look up at the eagle who was now perched upon a high stone some distance away. The Cherufe was probably defeated already, since there was no trace of that monster to be seen anywhere- except for the rather large heap of black ash, that is.
The Slayer nodded in response, straightening up and letting a sly smile crawl up her lips; noticing that the color from the Marilith's face seemed to have been unnaturally sucked off.
Aedre stretched her hands forth, letting her fingers intertwine before she cracked them- while the blood on it dissipated into thin air.
"You don't play fair either, Miss. But, yes, I have some tricks up my sleeve as well." Aedre stated, while winking in the her opponent's direction.
"Let's continue then, shall we?" With that, Aedre set herself off in the Marilith's direction, using her enhanced speed and charging off with all her strength. Just the force take off caused the ground beneath her to crunch, while she began with a jump with one leg while kicking with the other, then moving the kicking leg down and the jumping leg up into a kick, landing with the first kicking leg, all the while spinning.
As she landed, the woman had her back to the monster- but yet a bit of momentum left from her previous attack. So, not really planning to waste it; she'd turn, landing a crunching reverse roundhouse kick to the waist of her opponent.
The Marilith was pushed off to one side and Aedre was already in the correct position to witness the movement.
"I don't think you ever told me your name Ma'am." She spoke, letting her voice drip of fake sweetness. Ofcourse, Aedre was just trying to have fun with her own, cocky side; afterall, she rarely got the opportunity to practice it outside of a battle.

The demoness straightened herself up, reeling back into a battle stance and regaining better balance over her body. A smirk had made its way up to her mouth when the Slayer requested her name- something that made Aedre pick one of her eye-brow up in question. The woman was expecting some more disappointing feature to grace the demoness, but instead it seemed as if she was actually being triumphant of sorts.
"I rarely give out the name, you know. But today I'll make an exception- since I found the toy that I was looking for all along." The Marilith stated, her enigmatic aura intensifying as she raised one of her swords and pointed it to the sky. A spiralling wave of fire moved up from the hilt of the blade, going in the upwards direction while widening in size. With a subtle jerk of her hand, the demoness brought the sword down in an arc; pulling the fire wave down as well- letting it descend down on top of Aedre.
However, to her greater disappointment, a magic circle took birth beneath the white-haired woman's feet; as her magical energy consolidated around her body- to be followed by a huge spurt of water jets from place where Aedre stood. The streams of water rotated around its caster, successfully dousing off the wave of fire brought down by the Marilith. The demoness gave it another try though, as the blade in her hand flared and gave out another spiral of fire; she used it to attack from the side this time, but it was another futile attempt.
"Shaktari." The Marilith uttered, while Aedre chuckled, unknowingly letting her own ego rise somewhere within her. She also let a bit of her guard down, as the jets of water spinning around her ceased into the ground as a temporary arrangement.
With a swift movement, the demoness approached the Slayer- using one of her swords to land a descending strike on Aedre; an attack that was blocked by her bare arm, provided with the protection of the metal-like material making up her claws.
Her hand clenched itself around the weapon, twisting it in a cruel way and wrenching it out of Shaktari's hand and before the demoness could retaliate in any way- Aedre threw it down into the pit of lava behind herself. The Marilith grunted in annoyance, her vision trailing the path of the falling sword with a sideways glance. At the same time, Aedre had used that bit of time for inhaling deeply and filling her lungs with a substantial amount of air.
Shaktari turned her gaze back into place- only to see a colossal, spinning vortex just inches away from her face.
There was no opportunity to dodge, so she only felt the strong impact that pushed her to the wall that was a few meters behind her. The force was enough to crush the demoness against the wall- infact causing a huge and notable crater on it.

Shaktari slid down from the wall, groaning a bit, but still looking strong. There was certainly a good amount of fight left in her. She stood up, using the wall as a support and tightening up her grip on her remaining weapons.
"Your toy is apparently way too disobedient, Shaktari." Aedre spoke, chuckling a bit; while she placed a hand on her hip and waited for the demoness to charge once again. Afterall, the Slayer's style of fighting was pretty much counter-offensive, so she was bound to work in the most effective way when her opponent stroke first.
"Certainly. Its time to teach the toy some manners." The demoness retaliated, as a great surge of flames enveloped her frame- creating a daunting image of herself.
Aedre simply let the streams of water jut out from beneath her feet once again, as nothing but a measure against her opponent's future attacks.
Among those flames, the white-haired woman couldn't make out much of the demoness- yet she knew that there was some morphing of body taking place admist the fire.
Slowly but surely, the flames died down- leaving an all new Marilith standing in the place. The six arms had disappeared- only to be replaced by two arms. The tail of the snake had been turned into proper two feet; clawed and deadly at first sight. The demoness now only weilded two scimitars in her hand and Aedre instantly knew, that her adversary had perhaps made her best attempt to counter Aedre's accurateness and speed.
A smaller body and lesser limbs to take care of made your speed better and that was surely what Shaktari had aimed at.
"Copy cat~" Aedre teased, letting a sly grin slither up her lips- as she spread her arms on either side- calling forth her own dual swords for the third time in a day.
As they materialized in her hand, the Marilith's eyes shone for a second and she laughed lightly, "Who's the copy-cat now?"
"Oh- thought it would be a battle of equals then." Aedre stated, while at the same time, Shaktari fused her two swords into a single greatsword.
"I don't really like battles among equals." The demoness spoke, continuing it with a roar that shook the stones, she leaped ahead, stabbing ferociously with her powerful sword, the blade bursting into flame as she thrust.
"Fine, its your choice then." Aedre stated and out snapped Excalibur, in the blink of an eye, the enchanted weapon slapping across the greatsword, extinguishing the fires in an angry puff of smoke as Aedre hopped to the side. She could have struck with Elucidator, for the Marilith, in her supreme confidence, had abandoned all semblance of defense in the assault. But the white-haired woman held the attack.
The greatsword came slashing across, predictably, forcing the Slayer into a fast retreat. Had she taken that first opening and struck with her darker sword, Aedre would have scored a hit, but nothing substantial.
And in that instance, Shaktari would have recognized her unanticipated vulnerability.
She pressed the attack wildly, slashing and stabbing, rushing ahead, and on the high ground behind and to the side. Aedre measured every turn and retreat, letting the fury play out, using less energy than her outraged opponent. She wasn't trying to tire the demoness, but rather to gain better insight into her opponent's turns and movements, that she could better anticipate.
The greatsword flamed to life again with one feinted stab that became a sudden reversal into a downward chop, and had Aedre not seen a similar distraction tactic used in different sword fighting matches, she might have found herself caught by surprise. As it was, the descending greatsword met only the slap of Excalibur, extinguishing the larger weapon's fires.

Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander - Page 3 Empty Re: Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander

Post by Felicity 20th August 2014, 3:09 am

Shaktari came on suddenly and wildly, charging straight for the Slayer, who stepped left, then leaped back right, going into a roll as the demoness started one way then threw herself back the other, slashing her sword across. That sword flamed to life again, and the rolling Aedre felt the heat of those magical fires as the blade cut above her.
The woman came up to her feet and spun, then back-stepped and slid off to the side once more as the Marilith continued to press. Around and around they went, the demoness attempting many slashes, though she got nowhere close to hitting the elusive Slayer.
There was sudden fury in their engagement now, by the hum of swords, and the dives and leaps of the principals. Blade rang against blade too many times to be heard as distinguishable sounds. Blades missed a killing mark by so narrow a margin, again and again. The confusion of the battle challenged Aedre at every level. One moment, she felt as if she was fighting her own self, so fluid, fast, and devious were Shaktari's movements. And the next moment, she was painfully reminded by a shocking wave of reverberating energy flowing up her arm that she might well be battling a mighty giant.
They pulled back for a second, gazing at each other- arms still ready and bodies still assuming a battle stance. If anything, it was just a small, much-needed breather.
There was about a meter long distance between then now, since they had apparently wanted to keep a real safe distance.
A second later though, the Marilith held her arms out wide, and brought her greatsword flaming to life, inviting the Slayer to continue.
Aedre straightened, despite the pain and sting in some parts of her body; where her opponent's blade had hit only to be healed by the mark or whatever that Poseidon had gifted. She returned the nod, and leaped ahead- taking a near flight by using the wings on her back and throwing her arms on either side of her body. In that very instant of take-off, the swords in her hand disappeared, to be replaced by small twisters of water. They were hard to see in the fraction of the second that they were conjured in, but soon after were notable enough.
The demoness had her eyes widened when she noticed that the white-haired woman had another trick up her sleeve this time; but before she could think retaliation or anything similar- Aedre tossed both the twisters down on the ground.
A single, crude pulsation and they morphed into huge cyclones, while Aedre changed her direction and steered herself out of the way.

She landed with excellent grace, a simple, soft thud and turned around to watch the carnage. The two cyclones collided on the Marilith from both the sides, fusing into one and their voice nearly overcoming the scream of Aedre's opponent.
The white-haired woman stood calmly, a gentle smirk on her face transfixed into place.
'She's a few leagues ahead of you. Keep that in mind- that attack won't faze her much.' Orel's voice spoke in her head, bringing forth a simple nod.
'What makes you think that I haven't considered that fact already?' She questioned rhetorically, while the cyclones let out puffs of warm steam into the air- they were boiling hot afterall.
"Okay then." Aedre muttered to herself, aiming both the palms of her hands in the direction of the cyclones and attempting to pull them apart and away from the Marilith.
As they did so, the Slayer saw the limping form of the demoness hunching over the ground- knees on the floor and hands entwined within her own red locks of hair.
Before she could look up though, Aedre made a claw-like action with her fingers; causing a magic circle to appear beneath her opponent.
That was exactly when the demoness looked up, letting out a huge, annoyed grunt and staggering to stand up; readying to launch herself at the Slayer.
"No, no, not so fast my fire-breathing friend~" Aedre teased, while a huge amount of water surged from the floor and encased Shaktari in a orb-like formation. The rippling waves on its outline spoke of the pressure that the demoness would feel when being trapped inside it.
Aedre felt pity for her, to be honest; not the kind of pity that makes you leave the pitied unscathed; but the kind which makes you loathe them. Sadly, the demoness couldn't use much of her powers due to facing water- fire's natural adversary.
Wrong. Shaktari was hell-bent on proving Aedre wrong.
A wave of fire surged from the Marilith's mouth, evaporating the water in a show of strength, but the demoness surely paid for it. She fell down onto the ground once again, coughing and choking up water.
Aedre let out a soft sigh, while an intense amount of blue aura swirled around her frame, expanding and converging as she burst forward in the Marilith's direction.
The woman would pick her opponent by the neck once again, noticing that the swords she wielded had been abandoned among the cyclone's initial attack.
The sound of rippling water waves and a colossal amount of pressurized water surrounded Aedre in the shape of a vortex-like sphere- along with the Marilith. She'd loosen the grip on the demoness's neck and when the orb jumped outwards as a massive, exploding sphere of liquid; Shaktari was washed away with it.

Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander - Page 3 Empty Re: Hell To Pay | Job | Aedre & Alexander

Aedre didn't waste much time though, as thick, swirling bands of water wrapped around her arms and she shot forward in the Marilith's direction- who actually had crashed strongly against the wall.
Her arms morphed into streams of water, pressurized as they were; rippling in motions that made their blade sharp edges more visible. The woman swung one of her hands in a sideways arc; pushing the exhausted demoness to one side and then using the other stream of water to crash her back to the previous position. It was like Aedre practicing table-tennis with her own two hands.
However, within the drop of a hat, she crashed both the arms on top of her opponent; letting the water splash all around and causing a massive crater just below the Marilith's position.
The Slayer did not leave any chance for the demoness to attack and using her flailed arms, called forth the two cyclones that were spinning on the edge of the lava valley up till now. They sped up at her single, telekinetic command- smashing themselves into the wall that stood high as a support to the Marilith and probably ground her against the structure.
Aedre took a couple of steps back, 'She was certainly strong, Orel. But if I never gave her the chance to strike back- it would undoubtedly be a death trap.'
The Slayer's musing brought forth a chuckle from the eagle's side, 'So its over now?'
'Not yet.' She replied, while the cyclones burst out with a huge explosion and more splashing- leaving a soaking and dripping demoness leaning against the wall on her back. Apparently she had been cushioned hard- for there was a deeper and colossal crater this time. Infact, the crater had made the wall crack so badly- they spread throughout the wall like the stems of a creeper, spreading outward and trying to bring the entire wall down.
Emerald green hues averted their gaze to the demoness who seemed to be gasping for air; as Aedre summoned Elucidator in her right hand. It seemed, even the color of the sword mattered to her at this moment; choosing to use the darker one; symbolizing the darkness within her most perfectly.
She walked up to Shaktari, "Perhaps, the only opponent that I ever had to worry about..." She trailed, while driving the sword through the Marilith's chest and watching the blood splash and color the water that had spilled on the floor.
"...You have my respect." Aedre uttered, a small smile lighting up her features; while she pulled the sword out, "Its over. Now."
