Breaking and Exiting (Cyrus Kuma)

Cyrus bent down to pick up a handful of jewels in front of him. So that request was pretty accurate huh? On Cyrus's second job he had decided to do some fighting. His goal was to become a strong mage after all, and talking to old ladies just wasn't the best option for accomplishing that goal. Running along the trail of jewels he recalled how he ended up with this job. Upon asking a fellow guildmate, it had been suggested that he help out the local Shipping Co., which had recently been the victim of a robbery. The owner of the company gave Cyrus the location where the bandits had last been spotted, and it appeared that they had left a trail of jewels, giving away their location.

Cyrus continued to run along the trail of dropped jewels. Finally he came upon a group of bandits, running quickly, but not faster than the Cloud-Make mage. He inevitably caught up with them, drawing his sword and slicing two of them across the back. As the others turned around his foot landed firmly on one of their faces. The four men had menacing looks in their eyes as they recovered and drew their curved blades, but there was no fear in Cyrus's heart. "Bring it on," he challenged.

'Monster Dice' :

Two men came at Cyrus with their blades. He dodged one, but the other managed to land a slice down his forearm. "Bastard, that hurt!" Cyrus shouted at the man who had hit him. He swiftly brought his leg around to the bandit, but it was easily dodged. Then the fourth man came at him, successfully slicing Cyrus' cheek. "Jeez, you guys are ruthless."

"We're pirates, we don't show any mercy," said the only man who hadn't attacked.

"Alright, then neither will I." He once again drew his big cutter, swinging it at the undamaged pirate. The sword made contact, causing the pirate to step back. That was his chance. "Cloud Make: Whip!" Cyrus raised his pal and shot a thin, milky white line, striking the pirate once more.

The whip continued to push the pirate into a wall, as Cyrus turned his attention to the other pirates. He quickly swung his sword, slicing one of them and knocking him to the ground. The other two came at Cyrus, swords a swinging. Cyrus brought up his larger sword, landing it in the notches on his opponents swords, throwing them back to collapse near their friend. A sharp pain went through his side. Looking, he saw that the pirate who had been attacked by his spell had now cut his flank. He swung his sword, missing, but causing the pirate to back up.Hearing some sounds to his left, he saw that the three on the ground had also stood up. "Tch, you guys don't give up, do you?" The response was a collective chuckle from his enemies, "Didn't think so."

Current Status:

This time all three attackers came at him at the same time. "Cloud Make: Distraction," he whispered, letting his fake body occupy his former spot. He felt two scrapes on his shoulder as he moved out of the way, but the third attack couldn't land on him. He drew his sword and swung the blunt end of it against a stack of bricks, sending one flying into each of the pirates. He was somewhat tired from the fight, but could still stand.I haven't had to try this hard in a while. I'm going to be so bored after this, he thought. The Pirates, despite being quite battered once again started to attack him. Luckily this doesn't appear to be finishing any time soon, he grinned.

Current Status:

Cyrus now saw that one pirate was particularly tired. "I'll end this for you right now. Cloud Make: Halberd!" he called forth his clouds to swarm around him, gathering in his palm and beginning to form a large bladed pole-arm. A pirate struck him while he charged his attack, slicing his leg quite firmly. Another swung at him. Unable to dodge this one as well, it struck his right shoulder. This left him open to a third attack however, which left a small cut on the left side of his chest. He now stood there, with three swords planted in his body. Finally his 10 ft weapon finished forming and he began his retaliation. Two pirates stepped back, but the third was not so lucky. A swing from his Halberd struck him and sent him flying. Cyrus swiftly spun around, striking the battered Pirate from earlier with the tip of his weapon, sending him into a tree, and knocking him out.

Current Status:

Now the remaining three Pirates began a final retaliation. Although one was able to strike him. He swung his Halberd, disarming the other two. He then struck the two who were without weapons, knocking one out. He grabbed a bag off the one who had recently been bested, before he walked to the other unconscious one, lifting the bag off his belt as well. There was a large amount of jewels in the bags, but he could only feel about 1/8th of the missing jewels in each, which, even with the trail of jewels he had found earlier, did not come out to the total missing. Looking, he saw that the other two pirates did not have bags. "Where are the rest of the jewels?"

Current Status:

"We're not telling," said a pirate, the second one to speak since the last one was knocked out. He then took two swipes at Cyrus while his friend retrieved and thrust his sword. Despite their fighting experience, only one hit landed. Cyrus could tell how tired they were as he countered with a swift swipe of the halberd, landing hits on both assailants. He then threw his leg down in an axe kick, knocking out a third pirate.

"I hope you'll be reasonable now," his words directed at the remaining pirate.

Current Status:

The pirate took three swipes at Cyrus, so frantically that one managed to scrape his collarbone. Cyrus countered by shoving the Pirate into a wall with the blunt side of his halberd, holding him there. "Tell me where the jewels are," he demanded.

"I-in our ship, please don't hurt me," pleaded the pirate.

"And I can find it straight ahead?" asked Cyrus.

"Y-yes," said the pirate.

"Thanks... oh yeah, and hopefully this teaches you to mess around in Lamia Scale's territory," Cyrus told him menacingly, before he struck him over the head with the pole of his weapon knocking him out. It then dispersed into the air.

As he ran along the road he saw the pirates' boat. He sighed as he went up on the sail boat feeling his wounds. Finding the missing jewels relatively quickly, and made the trek back to the Shipping co. building.

Final Status:

Wrap-Up:
The Shipping Co. president was kind enough to have his assistant patch Cyrus up. The young mage accepted the president's reward of 1000 jewels before beginning to leave. "Wait! I haven't given my proper thanks yet!"

"No need, you've done enough for me. Besides, I got stronger from fighting those pirates."

"But I forgot to ask you your name. At least tell me your name," insisted the president.

The young mage took off his necklace and raised it over his head to display the Lamia Scale insignia to his employer while he walked away. "Cyrus Kuma, if you need help, just contact Lamia Scale again."
