Cyrus Kuma's Secondary Magic Training [Private (Kihia and Axilmeus)]

S-s-s-so c-c-c-cold, Vulturnus said shivering. The shirtless man was shivering and rubbing his arms as he spoke. Cyrus merely sighed.

But you're a spirit... so how can you... on second thought... never mind, Cyrus said, searching around the area. It was peculiar. I mean, sure it was snow storming on Snowfall Island, but he thought it would be easier to pick out Kihia in a land of white. The Venti had come out to observe and possibly assist in Cyrus's training with a special ability of Kihia's. Apparently it had something to do with storing his ice make weapons inside his weapons to allow use of them for his friends. The Cloud Make mage was interested in practicing with these weapons, so he swooped up the offer Kihia made to come train with him on Snowfall Island. Now though, the Ice Make mage was no where to be found. Cyrus just sighed and plopped down next to an oddly large pile of snow.

erm... Cyrus? Favonius piped up.

Not now Favonius.

Cyrus?

Not now Favonius.

Cyrus?

What!? shouted Cyrus finally. What could it possibly have been that Favonius so urgently needed to point out. Cyrus was quite annoyed at his spirit companion for continuing to pester him while he searched for Kihia. Come to think of it, where was that mage? He should have arrived by now. Perhaps Cyrus was in the wrong area? No, there was the crescent shaped stone Kihia had told him to meet at. Then where was Kihia?

Kihia had been sitting in that pile of snow for roughly five hours waiting on Cyrus to arrive. He had offered Cyrus to teach him the channeling technique Iarok had taught him. Cyrus had taken up the offer without a moment’s hesitation. So Kihia had then spent the next few days preparing the area of which they were going to be training in and had gotten there a day early. Kihia had finished his preparations earlier that day, and had covered himself and the training equipment in a large pile of snow, the very same pile of snow Cyrus was now sitting on.

Kihia had heard someone arrive and was walking around the area and then had sat down on the snow pile he had been resting in. That must be Cyrus… gauging from how long I had waited… this was the appointed time we agreed to meet… He waited a moment listening to what the person who had rudely sat on his snow shelter, Kihia heard the subtle shifts every time the person looked around the area.

“Cyrus… You seriously need to work on your sense of awareness… it will help you in more ways than one…” Kihia then stood up out of the snow, he then lifted Icarus up onto his right shoulder. He then continued to knock the remaining snow off of his body. Kihia nodded at Cyrus, “I am glad you finally arrived… I hope that you had no issues getting here…” Kihia then reached into the snow and brought out two large bags that he had covered in the snow, “I hope you are ready to begin…”

Cyrus was thrown to the side when Kihia rose from the snow. So that's what Favonius had been wanting to tell him about. Huh. Either way it appeared that Kihia was ready to begin, and so was Cyrus. "So what's the plan?" asked Cyrus. He had known Kihia for a while, and had seen his magic used several times, so he believed he was ready for anything. The Cloud Make mage had been thinking earlier about which spell he wanted to try out first, and he came up with a few ideas. It was really up to Kihia, however, how they trained, and Cyrus was interested in seeing what the ice mage had thought of. He was the superior mage after all, so there was no doubt in Cyrus's mind that he had something up his sleeve. The question was, what was it?

Hey Kihia! How's it going? Favonius said, interrupting Kihia before he even got a word out. The blue spirit had taken a liking to the helpful and kind ice mage, and had openly told Cyrus that he preferred him over some of Cyrus's more chaotic and destructive friends, in other words, the majority of Lamia Scale. Either way it was no surprise to Cyrus or Vulturnus that Favonius was so friendly towards the ice make mage. I heard that you're training Cyrus to use some of your spells. How exactly do you plan on accomplishing this? he asked. Cyrus's eye twitched. That was the same question he just asked. Well, whatever, not like anything could be done about it, or that it really mattered.

Kihia studied the spirits he had recently learned were called the Venti’s, Favonius had greeted Kihia and said, I heard that you're training Cyrus to use some of your spells. How exactly do you plan on accomplishing this? Kihia shook his head an responded to the kind spirit, It isn’t my spells that I am teaching him, more so the way I commonly cast my magic through objects… Kihia then nodded at Cyrus and said, “First a small lecture, then some practice… Channeling your magic through objects, is an advanced technique of magic power control…” Kihia stopped and thought for a moment, “Being able to control your magic flow into an object, and then managing that magic power remotely to manifest it into one of your spells is the task at hand.”

Kihia placed down the bags, and opened up the heavier one revealing a large assortment of wooden swords, “Place your sword somewhere safe… You will be practicing with these…” Kihia reached down into the bag and picked up one of the wooden swords. He tossed it to Cyrus and said, “First, find the method the best suits you to channel your magical energy into that wooden sword…” Kihia stopped and thought for a moment, “Picture a… system of water pipes… Yes! The pipe system has a part of it that is connected by a release valve… The water will not flow into the connected pipe system unless the valve is opened…” Kihia paused for another moment and nodded, “In the same way… your hand is the connecting pipe with the valve, you just need to find a method to allow your magic energy to flow into it…” Kihia nodded, hopefully that analogy would work for Cyrus, If that analogy works….he would begin to be able to feel his magic energy flow into the wood slowly… the manifestation however… won’t be as easy…

Kihia pulled out many wooden swords from one of his bags that he brought to the snowy place. Cyrus was tossed one and instructed on how to try to channel his magic into the weapon. Kihia put a pretty clear image in his head about how to figure this thing out. Just turn on the faucet. Right. Focusing as hard as he could, he attempted to push his magic through his hand. This didn't work at all. So instead he focused on channeling his magic like he did for the high cloud make spells, but in reverse. No luck there either. Apparently living things channeling something else's magic was different from weapons doing the same. It made sense though, people were different then swords. Either way Cyrus was having trouble already with this training. It was a bad start to this whole magic training thing, but there was no telling what would happen next.

See Cyrus, uh... the, erm... the trick is to... uhh, Vulturnus muttered, his attempts to be helpful ended up breaking Cyrus's concentration most of the time.

Brother, face the facts. You don't know what you're talking about, said Favonius. Actually what you need to do is... um.. I think it might have something to do with second origin... no wait, that's not this, it's something else... perhaps.. hmmm... and now the Venti were both off on their random babbling.

"Kihia, I've seen you use this technique before, but whenever you use it, you use Icarus, which transmits magic naturally. Is it even possible to pass magic through this thing?" he asked, staring at the plain wooden sword he had been tossed.

Kihia smiled after hearing Cyrus’s question, it brought back memories when he was learning the technique himself. Back then… I was given old fashioned wooden Bo’s to use has my training equipment… and I had no idea what the old man was trying to teach… but it grew to be my most valuable skill… Kihia studied Cyrus for a moment and nodded, “That is true that the qualities of Icarus aid in the process… but…” Kihia then thrusted Icarus into the snow letting it stand on its own. Kihia then reached down and opened up the second bag.

Kihia pulled out a regular mop with a wooden handle, “I found this mop in one of Hargeon’s taverns… it is just your everyday mop…” Kihia then channeled his magic energy into the mop which made the surface start to build frost on it. “Ice Make… Partisan.” The ice partisan blade slowly formed on the open end of the mop handle. Kihia nodded and then looked at Cyrus and the Venti’s “Wood is difficult to transfer your energy into… but if you can master a channeling through wood… you can channel through any material in time… that way you always have an option somewhere.” Kihia paused for a moment thinking, after a moment he continued, “You have to maintain the knowledge of the qualities of the material you are channeling into… wood… is a rigid material but allows itself to be able to absorb water… keeping the common knowledge in mind aids the process… As for other materials… you need to know the one thing that can naturally move through them… and apply that same thinking process to your magic power…”

Kihia then paused and looked at the mop handle, it had started to crack and glow, I should have expected this…. The mop handle then shattered in a bright light of magical power and shards of ice and wood. Kihia sighed, “Icarus… and other weapons of its material are made for this… they can withhold the extreme amount of magical power within them without… being destroyed…” Kihia looked at his right hand that was holding the mop only a few minutes before, he was frowning.... mainly because that was the only one he brought with him.

Cyrus listened and watched as Kihia further explained the mechanics behind his channeling technique. Cyrus began to ponder how he could work his magic into the wooden object like Kihia had. Alright, he had to focus. He closed his eyes and felt the wooden against his palm, every inch of the sword making itself known. He began to channel his magic thorough the blade when suddenly a certain spirit decided to pop up and interrupt his thoughts.


Ay Cyrus what is it that you're do-oof, he was interrupted mid sentence by a solid strike to his stomach by his brother's fist. After this Cyrus began to concentrate again. He focused hard on the properties of his magic. It was water magic, so it should flow into the wood rather nicely, or at least be absorbed... presto. He just had to think how his magic could be taken into the blade, like Kihia had said. He closed his eyes harder than he had before, and attempted to make his magic flow through the wood, as if it were water being taken up through the roots. He opened his eyes a bit. Magic was definitely flowing in the right direction: to the opposite end of the blade. The second, cloudy hilt he had imagined began to form around the pommel, but it was clearly unstable and didn't appear to be progressing any further. He forced more in, but all this did was ultimately destroy the sword as a whole. Cyrus sighed, that didn't go the way he wanted it to.

Grabbing hold of a second sword he attempted again, this time with better results. Although it wasn't the second blade he had hoped for, a smaller, knife like cloud blade formed on the pommel of the sword. Cyrus considered this a success.

Kihia watched as Cyrus started to try and apply the knowledge Kihia just gave him. He gently smilled when he saw Favonius punch his brother, seemingly to shut him up and let Cyrus concentrate. He was making steady progress and had gotten clouds to start forming on the pommel. Kihia nodded, He is getting there… however… he is losing to much magical power into the rest of the sword… Kihia then watched as Cyrus seemingly sent more of his magical power into the sword, Now he has done it… Kihia watched as the wooden sword started to crack and fracture, and then blew itself apart.

Kihia watched as Cyrus picked up another sword without hesitation, Unwavering… good… he will get through this... when I was practicing... I had lost count to how many Bo’s I had destroyed while learning Ice make spear… He watched as Cyrus had managed to form clouds at the pommel again and this time managed to form a dagger at the end. Kihia nodded and said, “Good start! I am sure you were trying for something bigger, but a dagger is a good start… after all my first attempt at making an ice spear head only made a cone a few inches tall…” Kihia paused for a moment remembering those days for a moment, “Anyways… onward to stage two, enhancement and combat application…” Kihia walked over to an open area and put both of his hands together, “Ice Make… Guardian…” Kihia’s Ice construct formed infront of him and waited for his command, “My construct will act as your opponent, use what you learned of the channeling technique to destroy him… None of your other spells are allowed for this exercise.”

OOC for Record: this combat exercise will lasts for three posts,

Cyrus beamed as Kihia praised his first attempt to channel his magic. Although he could still improve on this technique, he had made progress from simply blowing up a sword with his magic. “Anyways… onward to stage two, enhancement and combat application… Ice Make… Guardian…”  as Kihia said this Cyrus looked up, "What was that you sa---" he saw the shield fist coming down just in time to jump out of the way. He listened as Kihia explained the rules. "So if I'm supposed to just use this sword, I should toss away my other weapons," he said, throwing his sword and crossbows to the side. He then prepared to fight the make. He swung the wooden swords pommel dagger towards the Ice Guardian.  It made a small cut but nothing that would shatter the guardian like the last time they had fought. This was going to be much more difficult without his magic. 

Cyrus pulled out the dagger and attempted to swing down the more effective blade, but was blocked and the sword shattered, Cyrus quickly dodged the next couple of strikes and grabbed another sword. "Pommel Knife," he said again recreating the thing from earlier. He attempted to thrust it into the same arm as before, but was slapped away by one of the shields before he got the chance, I'm at a serious disadvantage here without my sword or magic. I need to figure out a different strategy of going at this guy. He continued to dodge the opponent while he thought out his next move.

Cyrus leaped out of the way when the strike came then lunged forwards, If I manage to hit him I should be able to take out one arm, without that his fighting would be less effective, Cyrus maneuvered around the ice makes strikes and blows. Despite it's speed, Cyrus's human mind clearly had the advantage. He leaped into the air, If my pommel knife can get lodged in that crack again, I should be able to break off the first arm, he thought to himself as he brought his weapon down. Instead of meeting with it's desired target, however, it met with the combined shield of the ice make. It through Cyrus back, and the second sword ended up shattering into pieces.


Dang, this guy is stronger than I expected... or is it rather.... I am weaker than last time we fought? No, I'm not using the weapon I have properly in conjunction with my physical abilities. That's the only reason I could beat it the last time. How can I use the pommel knife to my advantage with my physical ability? he pondered.


You can't Cyrus, answered Favonius, You're trying to desperately to use the make you made, when in reality, it's not suitable for your fighting style. Focus, and make something more in conjunction with the long range fighting style you're used to.


Long range... sword? Cyrus ran through the possibilities in his head. What could he add onto a sword to make it a long range weapon... no... what could a sword in general do that would be long range? A blade that you throw... gotcha, I have my new idea.

Step one, that would be to strike him once more, so I can at least take down one of his arms. This way he'll have less of a chance to strike me back. To do this I need to... he rushed forwards. No matter what arm the guardian tried to block with now, it would be broken. Cyrus swung downwards. It blocked with it's left arm, which then shattered, exposing itself for a swing from Cyrus's right, cracking both Cyrus's sword and the ice guardian a bit. The mage danced around the ice creature's counter and leaped backwards, preparing to channel his next idea. He swung the sword, releasing a tiny needle of cloud. The guardian raised it's right arm, which was shattered by the needle. The cloud-make mage then swung again, shattering the sword by channeling his magic, but also sending another needle. It pierced the guardian, sending cracks rippling throughout it's body, ultimately destroying it entirely.

Alright! That's what I'm talking about! Nice channeling technique, Vulturnus lauded.


"Ah, well it's not what I had in mind, but it did the job, what did you think Kihia?" he asked. Although he successfully defeated the guardian, he didn't know how much this displayed his understanding of the technique. At least he had been able to produce magic cloud makes through his weapon, and developed it around his own fighting style, "I think I could work on it some more, but was that the basic idea you had in mind?" perhaps he might eventually be better at the technique, but for now, this was about as far as he could take it.

Kihia had stood there through Cyrus’s entire training progress with an gaze that seemed to have been frozen in time itself. He is doing well… and is finding out quickly that just because you channel through a weapon that is meant for close quarters… doesn’t mean you can’t transform it into a weapon with a longer reach… Kihia continued watching until Cyrus finally managed to develop a channeling spell form that compliments his own fighting style better, and destroyed the constructed.

Kihia studied Cyrus for a moment after he had asked Kihia a few questions, he was contemplating a few ideas he had in his own head. Kihia then nodded at Cyrus and said, “You did well, through the combat you learned how to control and maintain your channeling during combat.” Kihia paused for a moment before he continued, “Basic ideas are the start of any make spell, you conceive the original spell… and as you use it and grasp a better idea of it… you can make a more complex spell from it…” Kihia walked over to the shattered remains of his ice construct placing his right hand on the ice shards, Just like how this one is… Master Iarok never gave me lessons on Dynamic Ice make but I am going to learn and continue to evolve this precious gift he gave me… Kihia then nodded and looked up at Cyrus, after a moment he stood up and studied all the fragments of the shattered wooden swords around him, “As for the basic ideas you come up with, they will be far different from the ones I may come up with… solely because we have two very different fighting styles… and for that matter our elemental mediums as well… Clouds can do things Ice cannot, and at the same time… there are some things Ice can do that Clouds cannot… does this make sense?” Kihia had unconsciously tightened his right hand into a fist as he said this, for it reminded of his bloodline as well as his arm…

Cyrus lowered his head slightly, "Thank you, Sir Kihia, for teaching this technique to me. I'm sure that somehow I can use this for even stronger spells, or even with my sword," he said, glancing at the large weapon on the ground. He had really gotten used to wearing it on his person, and the lack of the metal instrument's light, albeit present weight was a bit uncomfortable for the young mage. He had to get ahold of that as soon as possible, he couldn't imagine what would happen if he didn't have it to fight with. It was his primary form of fighting, and even with better weapons, that large type of sword, or zanbato, was what Cyrus was used to. His crossbows were useful to. He could always resort to those if necessary, but there was no barehanded ability in Cyrus.

He nodded when Kihia was talking about the differences between fighting styles and magic styles of the two. Ice and Clouds, though both forms of water, meaning they had some similarities, they were drastically different forms in the process, almost polar opposites you could say, making the magic based off of them different as well. Also there was a clear difference in fighting style as evidenced by their weapon choices. He looked as Kihia began to tighten his hand. "I suppose now is as good a time as any. Would you like to talk about your arm now? You already know about my Venti, so I suppose it's only fair you tell me more about your secret. My training can wait a second."

Kihia stopped what he was doing entirely after he heard Cyrus’s question. He grabbed his right arm’s wrist with his left hand. He kept it there for a moment feeling all of the magical power that flowed through the arm itself. “You want to know… about my arm… the story behind it…” He paused for a moment and closed his eyes making extra precautions not to lose his cool over this. “Cyrus… I have been… missing… my right arm… for roughly fifteen years… the exact details as to why… I am not willing to share at this time…” He paused once more, thinking heavily on how he should continue without revealing the details of his past.

Kihia then continued on, “It was given to me… by a man who had taken me in… and had raised me since I was eight… it was this same man… who had taught me how to use Ice make magic…” He paused for a moment and looked down at his right arm, he pulled off his right hand glove, and partially unwrapped it to unveil the hand of ice that had been hidden by the layers of clothing and bandages. Kihia then brought this hand to eye level and examined the ice that formed it, “If you think you had known about it… back when we first met… would you have not thought differently… felt I was the one whom needed protection because I had a serious injury…” Kihia had slightly turn his head with his ice blue eyes staring intensely at Cyrus.

Cyrus smiled faintly, "Kihia I... I wouldn't have thought any differently of you had I known you lost your arm. It's the person, not their body, that makes them a great mage, but to be honest I don't think it's your actual arm that makes you hide it, but rather what it means. Our injuries perhaps hold the memories that will remain with us for the longest time. This is because they are a constant reminder of that memory," he said displaying the cross shaped scar on the back of his left hand, "This is a reminder of the troubles I went through as a child. The disappearance of my mother, my life on the streets, the abuse of my father. I'm not one to compare what I went through to what you did, it's not like I lost an arm, but still... my point is that I understand why you kept it hidden, and I respect that you don't want to talk about what happened."

"It's been what? Thirteen years?" Vulturnus thought aloud, "I still remember when we found you, shivering and starving. I taught you how to make weapons out of clouds so you could protect yourself, and now you're here, learning to channel your makes through weapons."

"Then again," Favonius said, "We're no where close to the end. There will still be areas in which you need to use my non offensive abilities to get yourself out of some situations."

Cyrus laughed when he thought about what he learned about his mother, as well as what he had released at the Phoenix Mountain event, "Well, we might as well resume training, let's go Kihia."

Kihia sternly looked at Cyrus for a moment, and then looked down at the snow covered ground his gaze softening a bit. When he heard Cyrus say that the training should resume, Kihia nodded quietly and reached down and picked up a hilt from one of the broken swords, Cyrus does indeed have point… about… some of my reasoning keeping my arm hidden… and the fact we should continue his training… Kihia stood up and tossed the hilt to Cyrus, “The next part of your training… will be making and managing a larger embodiment to slice and break out of… this.”

Kihia then place both of his hands on the ground, “Ice make… Spear Trap!” Around Cyrus six ice spikes shout up out of the ground angled at 30 degree angle away from Cyrus, then Six more spikes shot out of them angled inwards at a 45 degree angle. The last three spikes formed at the top forming a Y shape at the top of the makeshift Cage.  Kihia nodded at this,  the ice by itself won’t be enough to keep him in there… the true surprise and challenge starts here… Without shifting from his position he started to say another spell with a slightly different color magic circle appeared underneath his hands, “Crystal Make… Spear Trap Maze!!” Suddenly Four crystal spears shot out of each of the ice spears forming an inescapable cage made out of ice and crystal. "Your next Phase of your training starts now, use the hilt I gave you to mold something that you can use to break out of my spell, if you break it, I will provide you with another."

Cyrus marveled at the new structure. The frozen cage first built itself around the mage, but quickly another hard substance began to pop up around the cage. It was a slightly different material, but Cyrus didn't have time to check it out as the spears burst forth, halting his attempt to progress anywhere. Before he knew it, he had no way of leaving the structure, at least not feasibly. He was, however, able to touch one of the odd spears to get a bearing on what exactly he was dealing with. Cold and light blue, like the ice, it was definitely not as cold, and more opaque. The way it reflected the light, it soon became clear to Cyrus that it was crystal.

"So, Kihia had a trick up his sleeve after all... A second form of magic. Judging from what crystal tends to be like, I wouldn't be surprised if you had more trouble breaking through this than you did with ice. You'd also have to go about this in a slightly different way, or so I think..." advised Vulturnus. He normally didn't give this much reasonable insight, but the heat of the moment seemed to have spurred his battle readiness.

Lifting the wooden hilt, he carefully tapped and examined the crystal to see if it suffered from cleavage or fragility. As Cyrus expected from something meant to trap the opponent, it did not. With a large swing he formed one of the small hilt blades and thrust it into a crystal spear. Although this cracked it somewhat, he realized that the process of doing this enough to break every spear would be much to tedious, and Kihia could probably come up with something immediately to hit him with by the time he was done. Not only that but he would most likely be tired out. He sat down to think.

Cyrus paused and intently thought on what exactly he was going to do to break this prison. Sitting down he began to meditate on what exactly he could do. He had already tried using his weapon, but with his personal skills and abilities, all he could create was the dagger. Since this wasn't going to work, and he wasn't able to use any other makes on the hilt, so it seemed, he had no idea what to do. The harder he thought the more tired he became. It was useless. there was no efficient way for Cyrus to get out of this without using his magic. He got up and prepped himself to try and use hand cannon to get out. Suddenly a strong wind blew across the snowy area where Kihia and Cyrus were training deliberately, almost as if it was trying to get someone's attention.

"That was him alright. Sure sign that you're getting stronger," Vulturnus said enigmatically.

Before Cyrus could ask who he was talking about, he had an intense burst of memory. Many years ago the four Venti had trained Cyrus to use Cloud-Make magic. Not the two Venti. The four Venti. Ranged weaponry and... dynamic Cloud-Make. He had learned those styles of magic as well as close range weaponry and support. Could there be a way to use one of those on his hilt? Cyrus tried his best to recall a potential dynamic make when flashes of audio and images began to hit him. Yes... Cloud-Make: Stegosaur. Although that spell was both out of his league and unable to work the way he needed a make to, perhaps he could come up with his aspect of the creation... what was it that his teacher had told him? The key to the Stegosaur's power was the Tha... thago... "Cloud-Make: Thagomizer!" Cyrus shouted as the name came to him. A short reptilian tail adorned with spines on either side formed on his hilt. It wiggled this way and that, as if it was, in some way, alive.

With his new weapon in hand, Cyrus's normal swings were much more powerful as the thagomizer itself put it's own muscle into the hits. The crystals were now cracking and shattering much easier than before. One swing... two swings... snap! Cyrus kept following this pattern, the beads of sweat dripping down his face as he got through the last of them, then being able to break the ice somewhat easier. He looked up at Kihia his face with a proud smirk, "How was that... for training...?" Cyrus said, taking deep breaths in between thoughts so he could maintain himself. His weapon dissipated and he dropped the hilt. "I hope you don't mind if I sit down... I'm just feeling really... exhausted," he explained flopping onto the snow. It was odd, he didn't think he should be this tired, even after what he had just done. He looked down... there was a small snake biting into his ankle. What was a snake doing in the middle of an arctic climate? Had he not noticed it while he was breaking out of the cage due to the fact that he was just to focused? Was it toxic? Was that why he was tired? The questions kept piling up and up until Cyrus began to loose coherent thought. He struggled to try and get up again; it hurt to stay seated. The mage felt his veins pulsing. Something wasn't right, "Kihia... I don't feel so well..." stand back please. Suddenly, markings appeared on his hands and slowly started working their way up. Cyrus noted that the Venti weren't around. What did this mean? What was going on?

Kihia gently smiled as Cyrus tried to break out of the crystal with a dagger from the pommel of the hilt, as he tried to strike the cage, he saw that even Cyrus even noticed the amount of time it would take to do that would be far too long. He watched as Cyrus sat down and meditated, Kihia then grabbed Icarus and rested it on his right shoulder, This may take him a bit…

Kihia then however felt a strange wind blow over the field of snow, it seemed almost deliberate or intentional but Kihia wasn’t sure what could cause it… He then Cyrus stood up and called out a spell that formed a lizard tail on the hilt that seemed to be moving, He then watched as Cyrus proceeded to use the spell to break through the spear cage, after a while he finally succeeded in breaking out. He watched as Cyrus came out and comment on the training, “Good work Cyrus… you are getting there…” Cyrus then commented about sitting down as he did, it seemed something came over the cloud mage as he started to look more and more sickly, He tried to get up, however he then told Kihia that he didn’t feel so well, Kihia rushed over and knelt down, “Cyrus whats wrong?” He then saw various markings appeared on his arms and started to appear more and more up his arms, Kihia then came to a realization and looked around, the venti were no where to be seen… Whats going on…?

At this point the markings had run all over his body. They began to glow a malintented red-light and Cyrus's previously white coat and clothes completely changed to black and red tattered pants and a bare chest. Metallic footwear formed on his feet and shining energy enveloped his hands, hardening itself into golden gauntlets. Without control over his actions, he leaped up and went for a solid strike to Kihia's jaw. He then staggered back and took an animalistic stance, his hands and feet digging into the snow as his body churned on all fours. His vision was blurry and he couldn't think straight, when he spoke it came out as more of a snarl than human speech, "Ki... a... I... So... rry..." he managed to say as he charged forwards and attempted to land a flurry of hits on the Ice-Make mage. After this event he stammered to a halt and began to scream in pain. His skin darkened and he become less and less human in his mind. There was nothing left of Cyrus's conscious

He let out an awful roar, capable of causing most wild animals to cower in fear. The ground shook as he began breathing in and out, regaining his strength from the transformation. The beast dashed over to where his sword lay and lifted it high into the ground. Swinging it wildly, he kicked up large amounts of ice and snow and piercing stone around him. With newfound speed, he ran forward towards Kihia and took a powerful swing downwards, trying to deal as much damage as he could with one hit, using animalistic brutality.

Kihia watched with ever growing concern as more and more runes appeared on Cyrus, as a side effect his skin glowed with a red hue as Golden Gauntlets formed on his hands. Kihia's brow furrowed heavily in confusion, this didn't seem like any spell that Cyrus would have just up his sleeve, when suddenly Kihia received an uppercut straight to his jaw sending him flying backward. He flew back for a moment before catching his right hand on the ground and came to a sliding stop. He maintained that low stance for a moment as he watched Cyrus try to say... or that’s what it seemed like that he was sorry.



He then watched in horror as Cyrus continued to transform into some type of Armored being, whose conscious wasn't exactly human. Kihia then repeatedly dodged Cyrus's attacks by stepping back in unison with Cyrus's attempted strikes, when they stopped Kihia jumped back as the man he once knew as Cyrus roared out as he charged for his sword.



Kihia then reacted by drawing out the Geruks and said, "Ice Make... Twin Swordbreakers!" The two ice swords formed as Cyrus charged at Kihia, he swung his sword in an upward motion in an attempt to slice Kihia in half. To which Kihia lowered both of his swords and caught Cyrus's sword with the blunt side side of his blades. Kihia paused for a moment then spun around and attempted to break Cyrus's sword and get behind the crazed mage, "Cyrus! Snap out of what ever has possessed you!"
