Ayeseru entered the smith's house, and looked around; no different than it was when he had gotten there originally with Zack, with a single exception - the smith, and the cauldron, were gone. Ayeseru searched the house frantically, and even the beach outside, and he could find nothing. They really had made a mistake. Perhaps it was Ayeseru over thinking it, but, for some reason, Ayeseru had a bad feeling forming in his stomach. He was tempted to go back to the island Zack was on, but decided it would be best for him to remain on the beach, and hopefully find some sort of clue as to where both the smith and the cauldron went... There was no way that the smith, even if evil, had made off with it, because he still needed a single ingredient left to perfect the potion, unless what he had was enough for... Whatever he was doing, but he highly doubted that. Either way, he wasn't quite getting any hints from anything, and thus concluded that it'd be best to think about the job itself. Let's see... The job stated that there is a portal that opens back up every one thousand years... And... This job has been available for at least one hundred years... That's the definition of a one hundred year job... A job available for at least 100 years and has not been completed yet... Wait a moment, this is a one hundred year job... The portal opens up every one thousand years... But, the smith could of just heard of the rumour... So this doesn't quite lead to anything...
Ayeseru sighed deeply, he really thought he was onto something, here, but then he remembered a key detail! Eight islands! Of course! The job states that there are eight islands! Including the one Zack is facing now, we have only faced seven of those! The job description states there are eight islands... So, does that mean that the smith is the ruler of the eighth island?! Ayeseru was pacing back and forth between the house. He had finally figured out the riddle. The only thing that didn't add up was the magical pressure that the smith was giving out, which was little to none. If he truly was the emperor, even if he made an attempt to hide his magical energy, he should be emitting much more than he presented himself to emit... So, why was it that he was so... Weak? That was one question Ayeseru couldn't resolve on his own, and sighed deeply. He felt slightly more calm about the situation, now that he had figured out some key points to it. He decided it would be no use, however, the smith did not know Ayeseru had figured some things out, for he wasn't around. The Shadow Dragon Slayer felt it would be best to take a casual seat on his couch, and deactivate his Dragon Force, in order to not raise any suspicion the smith may have towards him.
When he deactivated Dragon Force, the sudden surge of energy had completely vanished from him, and he felt amazingly weak. It would be tough to signal Zack what he had found out about the smith, in front of him, whilst still getting the jump on him. Still, it'd prove a worthy challenge.
