Running through the forest, swatting aside leaves, branches, anything in Ayeseru's way. He saw plenty of beasts along the way, however, they would steer away from him. More scents concentrated to where Zack was, making Ayeseru's worries increase, only to shortly after not being required. Like Ayeseru, Zack also released a very strange, mysterious aura of bloodshed. Ayeseru could only hope that like him, Zack was also scaring the monsters away, or at least causing them to retreat.
When he heard his voice, that's when it became clear. It was rather calm for the situation, instructing him to follow Zack. He was doing so anyways, and was extremely close regardless; when he passed the bushes covering the area where Zack and the other scents were, that's when he saw it. A large Octotiger, slightly larger in size and was evidently stronger than the other Octotigers, though not quite up to par to the Big Bang Shark he had faced earlier. He assumed it to be the leader of all Octotigers; old, covered in scars, he fit the bill of an old, powerful warrior perfectly. Zack also looked a bit strange, his hair was spiked and around him would be a white aura, a very powerful aura.
The Octotiger made no hostile movements and actually didn't appear to be in any mood to fight. "This must be your friend, the other powerful mage slaying my children and conquering this island." Ayeseru was eying it seriously before it spoke; his eyes being shadowed comically as his jaw dropped randomly. "Y-y-you guys can talk?!" The Octotiger appeared to do something as a sigh. "Yes, we all can talk, actually... What gave you the impression we couldn't talk? This is a magical world, after all." Almost instantly, Ayeseru resumed to a normal, and actual thinking state.
He does make a fair point... "Anyways, what were you two discussing? You don't appear to have any desire in attacking us, so what is going on?" Zack opened his mouth to speak, but the Octotiger was quicker. "I was this islands former ruler, till that blasted wolf came along. If the wolf is killed, I shall rule once more. I know you are here to search for him, so I will leave you alone so long as you will leave the island after defeating him and collecting whatever it is you desire, and do not harm my children."'
Ayeseru looked at Zack, and they both nodded at the same time. "Kind of a shame, you look like a very worthy opponent, however, you are not our target. Please, lead us to the Battlewolf. We shall slay him and be off to our own destination. During the process, we vow not to harm any of the island residence so long we're not attacked. That is a fair deal, in my eyes."
The Father Octotiger, as Ayeseru dubbed him, nodded. "Yes, that does seem to be a fair deal. Very well, young powerful mages, follow me to find the Battlewolf." Ayeseru gulped and was shaking. He wasn't shaking due to fear, however. He was excited.

Who would of thought that an ocpald would be leading them to their final prey? It was an odd thing to be shown the way to a target by someone who should be an opponent. Still Zack had to wonder how powerful this battle wolf was. It had to be stronger than this ocpald and this ocpald was almost, though not quite, the equivalent of a big bang shark. Sure it didn't have awesome magical abilities, but it did have brute power. The two of them walked behind it almost in silence both of them radiating magic power, though Zack because of his Mantle was probably radiating a higher level. He had very little magic power left but he'd have to go all out on this beast to be able to take it down.
Suddenly, the large beast stopped. "Ahead is a large plateau. That is where the battlewolf will be found." he said bitterly. "It is the throne of the king of beasts. MY THRONE!." The last words were followed by a loud growl. Zack nodded and walked forward.
"We will take it out. I plan to show this beast the true meaning of speed." Zack said and then without saying a word to Ayeseru he blew on himself activating his Air Resistance Drop Super. He then blew on Ayeseru activating two spells. The first was Sky King's wings. He would now be gifted with flight abilities similar to Zack for a short while. The other was Sky King's feet. It would boost his speed massively whilst coating him in an aura of green laced with white. "Can't have you falling behind now."
With that he blasted forward sword's at his side. With the buffs he currently had he was moving at his second fastest. The only way he could go faster was in demon force mode. Now he was going to show this battle wolf the true meaning of speed. The wolf stood there atop the plateau staring at him. Suddenly, though despite its size it was right next to him. He managed to change his direction and run along its side. Its speed was insane he had to admit, but with his buffs he was able to move just. It was a close run thing though. "Nice moves wolf." he said as the wolf hit one of the trees and turned leaping back at him. He managed to narrowly spin out the way and cut its side. Or so he hoped. However, it seemed he only clipped off some of its thick fur. That fur was like armor. "This is gonna be fun.". This beast was agile as hell and it knew the environment. It was able to bounce off trees, off walls, off the ground and any bit of the environs really to keep going. Dodging it was extremely difficult even for Zack in this state. What's more it appeared to be getting faster. It was a blur now, as was he. It was really pushing him to his limits. Yet all the time there was a big grin on his face. This was far more exciting then he even imagined. This was more his style of fight than the big bang shark. The big bang shark was a huge power house, but this was a speed beast with power behind it. It was a tougher challenge. It also had a lot of magic power. Not quite as much as the big bang shark, but it was enough. He guessed S rank magic power with H rank physical power at least. A tough opponent. He wondered what magical abilities it possessed. He closed his eyes not relying on his sight, which couldn't fully keep up with the battle wolf's movements. "No time to think. Don't rely on your senses. Just do."

Ayeseru sighed deeply, but couldn't help himself and smiled. Zak had given him several magical enhancements which Ayeseru presumed would increase his own speed up by an inhuman amount; green aura with a hint of white, Ayeseu also felt he could now fly similarly to how Zack could. Hmm... What he doesn't realize is that I'm able to move far faster than himself, I just cannot utilize it as well as he can... Ayeseru chuckled when Zack bolted ahead of him; despite not knowing him for all too long, Ayeseru suspected very quickly what type of person Zack was, and he admired him for that. The only thing that worried him was the fact Zack, despite not showing it, was releasing an incredibly low magical output; not much of his magical energy remained from his initial output.
He better not overdo it... Knowing him though, it'll just give him all the more reason to fight the darn wolf... Best not stay here pondering and wondering about rather useless and trivial things. I need to get in there myself!
Ayeseru used his new found abilities and speed to torpido himself to the plateau where the Battlewolf would stand, and already, the battle was incredible. Despite being exhausted, Zack was able to keep up with the Battlewolf. No, he was doing greater than that; superior in speed to the Battlewolf. Somehow, Zack was able to surpass the Battlewolf in speed... At least for now.
Ayeseru didn't feel anything coming from the Battlewolf. In other words, currently, its speed as coming purely from its muscles, which was frightening. If it could use magic, and Ayeseru assumed it could, then it would become far more terrifying. It didn't matter, it was time for him to act. Luckily enough, Zack was keeping it distracted, moving all over the place, not even stopping for a heartbeat.
Ayeseru was able to, but only barely, keep up with their movements. In order to do so, he actually had to use most of his senses; sight, sound, and smell. Smell was never something to disappoint, though sight was slightly blurry, he was able to somewhat see their movements because he could smell where they went, and sound slightly helped, though quite unreliable in this situation, as they were bouncing off all over the area and clashing and hitting the terrain around them.
Ayeseru, combined with his Slayer speed and speed enhancements in addition with the temporary flight Zack had given him gave him an unfair edge at the current situation; keeping track of the Battlewolf, at the correct and most opportune moment, Ayeseru took flight, predicting the Battlewolf's movement perfectly and striking its jaw with full strength, and with the speed his hit was greatly amplified.
It flew back and hit some nearby trees, snapping them instantly upon contact and sending dust and debris into the air, which was slightly troublesome seeing as what the Battlewolf can do. Ayeseru would float high above the dust and stared down at the beast, anticipating its next move.

It seemed that Ayeseru had used his buffs well. He had used his own power plus the power given to him and the distraction Zack provided to land a powerful blow. A blow that sent it flying through trees. Yet before Zack even had time to congratulate his ally the wolf let out an almost deafening howl and suddenly from the dust and debris emerged the large battle wolf and ten smaller battlewolfs. He estimated them to be about B rank in terms of magic strength and they were the size of large wolves rather than gigantic like the battlewolf. Their presence didn't seem quite real though. Or it did, but it didn't seem natural. "It has summoning magic...or cloning magic." he mused and lunged forward. It leapt straight at him, but he transformed into air and it went straight through him. He grinned and turned back solid to stab one of the wolves which were also running forwrd. To his surprise it exploded on destruction sending him flying backwards. They were not living creatures. They were magic bombs. He climbed out of the rubble shaking his head. Fortunately, the protection provided by his aura was enough particularly when combined with the magical clothing he was wearing. He wondered how much it would take to trigger them exploding.
He threw his swords up into the air, holding them in place with telekinesis and once more lifted his eyepatch. This time rather than pulling out a sword he pulled out a pair of twin pistols. They were large and not his style, but with his magic power so low he had no real choice as it was his only ranged option. Sure, he could of telekinetically used his swords or cut them and used his speed to escape the explosion, but that didn't feel right to him. He pulled the triggers and began to shoot off 'bullets' of air. One gun shot hot air the other shot cold air. AS the bullets struck the wolves they exploded. It seemed it needed the slightest distubrance to cause them to explode. His shots weren't quite quick enough to destroy them all, but he took out eight of them. One got close enough to him and exploded sending him flying backwards again. This time he'd been more prepared for it though and managed to pull up his arms, and thus his guns, in defense. As he got out of the dust and rubble he thrust the guns into the fur covered holsters that were part of his outfit and dropped his swords back into his hands.
He hoped Ayeseru, who the battlewolf had gone for after missing Zack, was doing ok in his fight. It would definitely take the two of them to take this beast down. If either of them was at full strength, or even 75% then perhaps they would be enough solo, but in their current state they were not. He took a deep breath then realised something as he watched the battlewolf's movements. It was generating wind with its high speed movement. A high speed opponent generated wind. That was like a buffet for him. All he had to do was dodge it and he could recharge. Perhaps he could take this solo. No, he felt instinctually that the beast was still hiding some other abilities. "Watch out Aye. I reckon its hiding something else."

The Battlewolf stayed down for a mere second before popping up on its feet again and resuming its offense. It let out a howl that pierced his eardrums and the dust and debris was sent away from where the Battlewolf was, exposing him once more. The Battlewolf at long last used its magic, creating ten smaller wolves that had the same appearance as the original Battlewolf; they were small in comparison, though it was odd, as they didn't feel "natural" or "real", they seemed to be magical entities of sorts. Ayeseru needed to get a quick look at them; Zack lunged forward and so did one of the small Battlewolf's. Zack did well against it, up until the point where he stabbed it, causing it to explode and send him backwards a considerable distance.
It was very clear what these wolves now were, "Magical bombs... How interesting." There was no more time to eye Zack and what he was doing; the Battlewolf was hot on his trail and was bouncing from surface to surface all over the place. All Ayeseru had as an indication that the smaller Battlewolf's were being taken down in one way or another was the continuous explosions that would occur and the sudden drop in magical energy that the smaller Battlewolf's were releasing.
Ayeseru was attempting to follow the true Battlewolf through all of its rapid movements; combined with the magical enhancements and his own Slayer speed he was just barely able to keep up with the thing, up until it used more of its magic. It released a sudden outburst of energy, covering itself in a light yellow aura, its speed increasing by a considerable amount; Ayeseru guessed double. It was fast, terrifyingly so; it smashed against Ayeseru with its new found speed, causing him to fly a far distance. Luckily, because of his magical enhancement and wings, he was able to slow himself down enough to where he was flying in the air. He was coughing up blood. He was hurt really bad.
Blah... This thing is stronger than I thought... My lack of combat experience is really showing here... After countless injuries, this is getting quite difficult... Ayeseru was slowly descending, keeping its eye on the Battlewolf who returned the glare and howled loudly. He then clenched his fist in anger. I'm a Wizard Saint! I can't let this thing be better than myself! I need... To beat it! He would grasp his head with one hand as a sudden surge of pain came over him, an all too familiar one. His insane side was attempting a takeover, to no avail this time. He heard a whisper. "I'll get ya next time..."
Focus. That was Ayeseru's advantage over the Battlewolf, he was able to focus more than it and act upon it. He flew at top speed to face the Battlewolf, face to face, before it began circling him at the highest of speeds. Ayeseru simply closed his eyes, casting one of his spells in the process. Shadow Dragon's Sniper Rifle Shots. He was feeling it; his surroundings, the air, life, movement, purely focusing on feeling.
There!
Ayeseru shot a concentrated shot at an area, which the Battlewolf was moving to and literally got in the way of. Ayeseru opened his eyes and smirked, meanwhile, the Battlewolf was shaking its head after a it ever so slightly moved backwards. "How can you hit me so often?!" it spoke, though not to Ayeseru's surprise. He simply grinned in response, and took a more formidable battle stance.

It seemed that Ayeseru had not heard his words, but it did not matter. What mattered was that the beast had been hiding other skills. It had practically doubled its speed by coating its body with a magical aura. Ayeseru however used his skills to still hit it causing the beast to stop briefly. An opening? No it was too poised and ready to move. It knew he was no longer occupied by its wolf bombs. If he attacked it would begin moving again. Hiding from the beast by some method was pointless. Its senses were likely too keen. Wait, its senses were keen. Perhaps that could be used against it. Hmmm, it would have to be something really loud or stinky. It was likely used to some loud sounds, its howling and growls were enough to shake the air. Instinct told him this in an instant. He'd fought wolves before. He'd fought magic wolves before too. He'd fought demons and other powerful beasts. Large beasts were a specialty of his. He loved to test his skills against them.
Instinct told him this, but it also told him something else. Something he knew from his own experiences. Strengths could become weaknesses if used correctly. Speed and agility meant you could dodge and move quicker making you hard to hit, but if you were hit in the right way it would hurt more. He lunged at the beast, not letting Ayeseru give it an answer and as he expected it sprung away and growled loudly at him. Zack knew one of his spells that gave him such speed would not last much longer. The other buff, his best one, would not last long either. Nor would the buffs he had. They had to end this battle quickly. He lunged at the beast once more and it dodged out of the way.
"You are not worth my time if you can't hit me boy." the beast growled as it lunged at Zack. Zack grinned and suddenly moved to the side narrowly dodging the beast. It was a really close run thing. If he'd left it even a fraction of a second later then this would of failed. As he dodged he held both his swords out and they sliced deep into the beast's side. Its own speed causing it to dig in deeply. Yet that was not all he did. As it moved he inhaled, eating the wind of its passage, restoring a small amount of his magic power. It howled out in anger and leapt to the side taking the blades out, but Zack was ready for that and activated his Sky Door to move into where he suspected it would dodge to and the blades dug in again this time into the leg. It howled angrily and leapt away once more, this time in a more upward direction landing back onto its rock, but Zack was already there. "How are you guessing where i'm going to go?" it demanded twirling round to face Zack who had sliced into its hindquarters.
"Instinct." was Zack's reply. A beast tried to return to an area they felt safe in when injured. In this case its home on the rock. Zack's instinct's told him this and he nearly always acted on them.

Ayeseru grinned. Zack had been slashed at the Battlewolf and lowered its speed considerably. However, the Battlewolf was still normally faster than Ayeseru, and though Ayeseru could now fairly easily keep up with the Battlewolf, the magical enhancements Zack had provided him were beginning to fade away and loose efficiency, so he had to finish it within the next minute or two, or they'd be done for. Shadow Drive. Ayeseru began radiating a black energy all over his body, before having it absorbed into his skin as a black, magical aura of the purest night takes place, surrounding his entire body, boosting all of his physical traits enormously. Ayeseru did this all with closed eyes, and as they re-opened, he couldn't help but flash a half grin at the charging Battlewolf.
Ayeseru not only was faster than the Battlewolf, but could also follow its actions now. Ayeseru was waiting, waiting for the Battlewolf to approach him; at the last moment, with reflexes and pure speed, Ayeseru was able to evade the Battlewolf's claw that was sent his way, in seemingly an instant, also placing himself behind the beast in a crouching form. "I thought you were meant to be fast...", yawned Ayeseru. He shot a concentrated shot at the beast, causing it to pierce through the shot location which was its heel and ankle, now giving the inability to use it, slowing down its speed further.
While the beast howled in pain, Ayeseru began the preparations to his next spell; a black spinning magical crest with a dragons symbol in the middle appeared under the Battlewolf. It roared in anger and had his eyes set on Ayeseru, who was now forty meters above him. The wolf glared to look at Ayeseru, not even noticing the magical circle. It wasn't able to jump anywhere near as high as before, especially with only having three usable legs. It gnarled as it was just out of Ayeseru's reach, and had a rather surprised look on its face when it was descending back to the ground, seeing the magical circle. "Too slow."
A seemingly endless blast of darkness emitted from the magical circle, damaging anything within its initial thirty meters; though it did reach beyond the sky, anything beyond the thirty meter mark was just for show, which, Ayeseru was well beyond. The Battlewolf got blasted with a torrent of shadows that continued to emit for eight seconds, which resulted in continuous damage to the wolf while the blast was still active.
When all was said and done, though shaky, the Battlewolf was still on its feet, causing Ayeseru to shake. "I personally don't enjoy killing things... But this must be done. I praise your tenacity." Ayeseru leans back and inhales an inhuman amount of air as a large black magical crest with a dragon's head in the middle appears in front of his body. Shades of black begin to gather around and as it happens, it appears as though shadows are almost being sucked in as well whilst he gathers the air and shadows required for the blast.
Ayeseru held it in for a few moments, before exhaling, firing the large beam of shadows. The Battlewolf attempted to charge straight through it, but it was no use; Ayeseru had cut clean through its skull, piercing its body entire from the top of his head. When it was all said and done, Ayeseru smiled, de-spelling his spells as the magical enhancements Zack had given him wore off, and he was falling. He fell on his back, bushes and trees softening the blow along the way.
He was just laying back, smiling like an idiot.

Amazingly they finished the beast off. Well, to be more accurate Ayeseru finished it off. It was possible to say that he had done most of the work on this one. However, Zack felt confident that without his help the battle would not have been won. After all, he was the one who reduced the beast's speed so greatly. Even in his advanced form Ayeseru probably wouldn't of been able to match the beast at its full speed. Now the battle was over and the beast was slain. The second great emperor had fallen to them. Just five more to go. He took a deep breath and removed the last of his buffs. It would be a while before he could fight at such an advanced level of power again. He was exhausted and his body showed that when he collapsed to the floor. He had little magic power left and little physical strength.
"Well, we beat him Ayeseru." Zack said with a grin as he stared up at the sky. They'd done a lot of damage to this island's populace. He turned his head and looked at where the battlewolf had been. All that was left now were its claws and fangs. The rest of it wasn't even dust anymore. "We make a pretty good team."
"That you do. You have done what I could not. Have you got what you came for?" the head ocpald said as it walked over. Zack slowly pushed himself into a sitting position and shook his head. "Then what is it?"
"We need one of its fangs each. The bigger the better. The ocpald nodded and walked over to the fangs and claws and lifted one of each and placed it on its back before walking over to Ayeseru and Zack and doing the same.
"I will drop you off on the island below." it said and then without warning leapt into the air in one humongous leap and suddenly they were back down on the Divide Island. The beast lifted them and their fangs off and then with another leap it was back on its own island. "Thank you for restoring my throne to me. I am once more the Emperor of the Isle of Beasts."
"Wow that thing sure can jump. Wonder why the other's never tried that." Zack said as he sat there inhaling the air. It wasn't moving too much so it was barely restoring any magic power, but it helped him feel a little bit better. "Pretty nice guy for a giant beast." He took another deep breath. "Five more islands to go Ayeseru. I hope it doesn't take as long as to find the emperor on the next one...fighting the same guys over and over is boring" His stamina sufficiently restored from a few minutes of deep breathing he rose to his feet and looked over at his partner. "We best deliver these fangs...then rest up a bit. I hate to admit it but we are in no state to face another battle like that."

Ayeseru grinned and nodded. "Yeah, we actually managed to beat that thing. We do make a pretty good team, huh?" he chuckled lightly. Ayeseru was exhausted. He could barely move his head, not to mention body. It was very clear that they would have to rest for a while to heal and repair their bodies. Perhaps, the smith might be able to tend to their wounds, as well? Ayeseru wondered. The old Octotiger congratulated them and yanked two fangs off the defeated Battlewolf, one for each of the Wizard Saints. They were enormous in size, like the Big Bang Shark eyes. It placed them on its back and then proceeded to do so with both of the exhausted mages. With a sudden leap, it was in the air, along with all on its back, and then it landed on the Divide Island.
It dropped both the mages and the two fangs on the island ground, and Ayeseru would lay on his back. His problem was not the large consumption of magical energy like Zack's, rather, his body was more damaged which is why he was unable to move. Being a Dragon Slayer, his body was able to naturally take more damage than your average mage, and he would heal ever so slightly faster than other mages as well. He rose at the same time Zack rose and sighed deeply, though in a good manner.
He slightly frowned as he nodded in agreement with Zack about the whole healing and restoring thing. He put a fang on his back and began speaking, "Yes... Unfortunately, you are correct on that matter. First thing is first, though, lets get these fangs to the smith, and we'll rest then. I wonder, though... Think that smith could tend to our wounds somewhat?" Ayeseru was still thinking about his theory beforehand; was the smith truly an other-wordly being? It would make sense, considering it was a one hundred year job.
He shook his head rapidly. He was probably over thinking, anyways. Ayeseru had a tendency of doing so at times. Zack and him weren't hired and will be paid for suspecting their client, but rather executing the job correctly. However, he still couldn't help but wonder... He also wondered what Zack thought about it. The guy didn't seem like he worried too much about these matters, but he couldn't help himself, so he had to ask.
"Hey, Zack, uhm...", he scratched his chin with one hand, "Don't you think it's weird how the smith looks as though he is twenty years old or so? Ya'know... Since this is a one hundred year job and all... You'd think the client is extraordinarily old, or some other-wordly being... But I can't seem to sense that in the smith... Do you have any thoughts?" He had no desire to stop the job, especially after defeating two of the enormous powerhouses. He just couldn't help but gain a feeling of suspicion, as though they hadn't been told everything. It was worrying.

"I see little magic power from him. His aura is very strange. It is magical, but looks alien to me." he said in response with a shrug. "Not that it matters to much. We just need to get healed up so we can and fight some more giant monsters."
He headed down to the smith's house carrying his fang and knocked on the door. The man opened the door and looked at them for a moment before inviting them back in. There was two large cauldrons of molten liquid in one corner that had the same colour as the big bang shark's eye. It seemed the smith had already begun working on this 'ultimate' project of his. "Put a fang in each cauldron." the man said. Zack nodded and walked over placing the fang in. Immediately the liquid turned from a bright red to a vivid orange. Strange as the fang had no yellow in it. The liquid was intensely magical though and the wolf's magic aura had been yellow. Perhaps that was it.
"Mind if we rest up here for a bit? Finding the battlewolf and beating it took some time." Zack asked. The man looked a bit disgruntled but nodded and indicated some chairs that had lacrima attached.
"Was hoping to save these till you were halfway, but it looks like you need them. Their healing chairs. Should heal your wounds at least." the man said. Zack shrugged and sat down on one. The man flicked a switch and immediately Zack felt the familiar tingle of magical healing begin to effect his body. It wasn't as good as his own healing spells, but it would do for now. It would probably take a little while to fully heal himself, but that gave his magic power more time to recover. "Once they've healed you they'll take a bit to get going again...so try not to get too battered or you might not survive."
Zack nodded in agreement. THey couldn't take as much damage as they had on the Isle of Beasts. They had barely survived. With luck they would find the next of the Eight Kings more quickly than they had the battlewolf and not be worn down so much. Still, it would be a tough opponent. Zack had already decided on one thing regarding the islands, though he needed to check it with Ayeseru first.
"Hey Ayerseru, let's leave the dragon isle and demon isle till last...and take 'em both on at once." he said with a grin as he continued to let the machine heal him. "I've got an edge on demons, you've got an edge on dragons. They should be cake compared to the others." he looked over at the smith. "Means you'll get your dream just a bit sooner too."
The man smiled and for a brief second he saw a glint in the man's eye as if there was some darkness within him, but after that moment he could not see it again. Had he been seeing things? Whilst not normally caring about such things his own suspicions about this man were now aroused. Well, in truth it was more that his own curiosity was aroused.

Ayeseru sighed deeply. As he expected, Zack wasn't too concerned over the smith, though what did comfort him slightly was the fact he wasn't the only one to detect something strange; he wasn't going insane. They were still heading to the smith's house, both mages carrying a fang each. Zack knocked on the door and out came the smith who was eagerly awaiting them, taking a moment to realize what they had done before welcoming them in the house. Inside the house two large cauldrons of seemingly molten liquid in the corner of the room the exact same colour as the Big Bang Shark's eye.
The preparations were already being made to create the "ultimate" items, however, seeing as how the Smith had already begun, he wondered if they'd have to stick around after they beat the last few island rulers since it would appear creating the items would take some time. Regardless, he spent no time pondering over it and simply put his fang in one of the cauldrons and watched in awe as the liquids colour turned from bright red to a vivid orange colour. He wasn't quite sure why it turned into the colour it did, seeing as the fang wasn't yellow, though didn't worry about it too much.
He nodded as Zack said they had to wait, and then spoke himself, "Yeah... Unfortunately, those monsters got us real good. I believe we went in too careless, expecting this to be childs play, seeing as how we're both Wizard Saints; it was a mistake to underestimate them. We shall attempt not to do this again after we recover and set off to the next island." The man then pointed towards two chairs that appeared to have a lacrima attached to them. Ayeseru inspected them closely, unsure as to what their purpose was. He felt incredibly stupid for wondering after he got his answer, considering that they had asked for some healing and recovery literally seconds ago.
When the smith explained that the chairs were for healing, he facepalmed at his own stupidity. The man clearly wasn't all too satisfied with Zack and Ayeseru's performance thus far; evident from his slight hesitation and reaction he had when the two Saints stated they required some form of recovery of sorts. Ayeseru took his seat as the man flipped the switch to activate the chairs; Ayeseru felt a familiar essence enter his body - one similar to when Zack would preform his own healing spells.
When Zack discussed his plan, Ayeseru couldn't help but grin a toothy grin, revealing his sharp, dragon-like teeth as he nodded. "Sounds like a plan, Zack! However... How about we spice things up?" Ayeseru gave Zack a cheesy wink. "Let's see who can take down their island faster when we get to our specialties! You, or me? We'll even bet on it! How does 25,000 jewels sound to you, my good friend?" Ayeseru wasn't hoping to win, but it'd definitely give him motivation to find and kill the dragon ruler. He hoped that it would be the same for Zack.

A monetary bet wasn't something that particularly interested the young mage of Blue Pegasus. However, it was an interesting prospect. Not only would they tackle the islands seperately, but they would compete to see who would do it first. It would be a test of luck as much as skill, but still one worth contemplating. In fact, it didn't even need contemplating. "Sounds good to me. Competition always makes things more fun." he said and then grinned. "Its right up my alley, a speed run to see who can slay their 'target' faster." If it was a contest of speed then Zack was 100% for it. Not only would it test their skill and luck, but also it might prove that age old question: who was the better slayer Demon or Dragon. Well, not really as the dragon or demon might in total be a tougher opponent then the other, but still it would be a fun contest. As Zack sat there and waited for the healing to take place he considered the remaining islands. They'd defeated the Isle of Fish and its boss the big bang shark. it had been tricky, but not difficult. They'd defeated the Isle of beasts and its boss the battle wolf. The actual final battle hadn't been as hard as he expected, but finding the bloody thing had been damn near impossible even for expert trackers like himself and Ayeseru. He wondered how the ocpald would deal with its subjects now it was the ruler of the isle of beasts. He expected it would rule well. It seemed pretty powerful and wise and understanding.
Zack rose from his chair in perfect physical health ready to crack on with the mission in hand. His magic power would still take a while to restore, but he could recover that via eating on his way to the next island. He looked out the door and pointed to an island. "I think we'll take that one down next." Zack said. "Looks pretty mountainous. Good terrain to fight in."
"That's the isle of birds ruled over by the emperor crow." the man said without even looking up. "Everything on it flies, except for the mamyuu." That seemed to be the only advice the man was willing to give. His focus seemed entirely on the cauldrons. Zack shrugged.
"An aerial battle...perfect." he said with a grin as he walked outside and prepared to jump up and begin the battle. He wondered how Ayeseru would get up there this time. Each time he'd got up there a different way and it was always pretty impressive. As Zack jumped and began to fly he wondered what the birds of this island tasted like. Air was one thing, but he also needed proper food. "Maybe they taste like chicken." he said to himself now planning to make a barbecue when he was done with this island. Not that it mattered right now. All he cared about was the battle. A true aerial battle. It was time to show these birds who ruled the sky.

Ayeseru gave Zack a half grin when he accepted the challenge. "Alright then! Perfect! It should definitely speed things up, eh?" Ayeseru grinned and sighed in relief. It would be an interesting competition; whilst Ayeseru was technically faster than Zack, he couldn't maintain that speed for all too long, which ultimately meant that Zack was the faster foe in terms of speed, due to solid consistency. Regardless, it was an exciting thing to do, and would get the job they were set out to do all the much faster. Zack quickly got off his chair, and could actually move properly, and didn't look anywhere near as banged up as he did earlier. In fact, he stated he felt as good as new.
Ayeseru was also beginning to feel a thousand times better, and actually could literally feel his muscles repairing, his blood returning, and his mind felt cleared and as good as new. Only a minute after Zack had gotten up, Ayeseru did the exact same thing and listened in on the conversation that the smith and Zack were having. Apparently, Zack wanted to go to a mountainous terrain, and found the island exactly for that. It was apparently the island of birds, which was perfectly suited for Zack's capabilities; what about Ayeseru's, though? Not so much, but they would eventually need to take care of it, so that time was as good a time as any. Besides, he had a flying ability as well, and was certain that the smith had something to help him out with that.
Ayeseru sighed deeply, however, in content when he saw Zack flying up the the next island. He was still as excited as ever to keep up the job. Meanwhile, Ayeseru began sucking in all of the shadows to total up to about a lake sized amount, though this took him several minutes. Regardless, he was completely safe in doing so, simply because he was in the house of the smith, and nothing could attack him... Could they? He finished up safely, and turned to the smith, rather embarrassed with the question he had to ask. "Hey... Uh, do you happen to have something that'll help me fly? I can get to the islands, but each time, it has been a hassle and has taken me a lot of effort, so I was wondering if you had a way that would make it a lot simpler on me."
The smith gave Ayeseru no verbal response, and instead went to one of his cupboards which contained a lot of mysterious items, and pulled out a ball shaped lacrima and handed it towards Ayeseru. "The way the lacrima works is that you point it to the direction you want to go, and once your will to fly is strong enough, it will begin flying you towards that direction. I expect this to be given back to me when the job is over, however, since those things aren't easy to find!"
Ayeseru nodded, and went outside, doing exactly what the smith told him, he began flying towards the island, right behind Zack.

As Zack flew upwards he began to consume the air. His fast movement made it move thus generating better air for him to eat and because of that he was able to consume enough to restore 50% of his magic power. It wasn't full power, but it would do for now and what's more it healed what little damage his body still had on it. It took a while for him to reach the island but that just gave him time to heal, which was why he restored so much magic power in such a short time unlike Ayerseru who had taken the same amount of time to restore half as much power. Then again he probably hadn't used quite as much as Zack. He wasn't QUITE as reckless after all.
Eventually though he was on the island, or more floating above it. He sniffed the air. There was a wreak of feathers and bird shit, but that was to be expected. He wondered what kind of birds he would be facing. He glanced back to see Ayerseru flying up towards the island...using a lacrima? Now that was interesting. It seemed the smith was a bit nicer than they initially had thought.
As he waited for his partner to join him two large bird like creatures flew at him. They had a high level of power and speed. Not equal to the Battle Wolf, but still quite fast and strong. An interseting pairing. It was then that he was suddenly struck by a lightning bolt that launched him to the ground. He rose to his feet and looked upwards. Where had that lightning come from? Then he saw it. A large golden bird whose body crackled with electricity and whose aura was pure lightning. It was like an S rank dragon slayer, but in bird form. The other two were A rank. Still formidable opponents. "Man you pack a punch." Zack said with a shake of his head and then leapt to the side avoiding a second bolt.
The lightning phoenix as he dubbed it ins his head was probably the biggest threat. It was not only stronger, but with its magic it could likely dominate the battle field. "Now this will be a real test of speed." he said wih a grin flying at it. He dodged another bolt narrowly. "Can I outrun lightning?" It seemed the answer was no because as he got close to it its generated a shield of lightning and several bolts fired out one of which hit Zack sending him flying once more. "Looks like that is a no...in this state." he said still grinning as he shook himself off. Somehow his clothes were still immaculate even though his hair was a mess due to the static. "Now...how much control do you have I wonder?" His two swords began to rotate around him and from his eye he drew a third. It was a weaker weapon, but it made his natural feeling more complete. This was perhaps as strategic as Zack got. It was an actual plan rather than pure instinct. Strange, but then again Zack did like to test his opponents thoroughly.

The Shadow Dragon Slayer would flail in the air with his legs as he was moving up the island at extreme speeds; he started off controlling the lacrima very well, though began to spazz out the faster and faster he went. His legs dangled seemingly lifelessly as he blazed through the sky, and suddenly, he began flying into areas he wished not to. He soared through the trees, bushes, and... Uncomfortable areas... Eventually, Ayeseru crashed into the surface of the floating island as the lacrima stopped working without Ayeseru's desire to fly it.
He groaned and sighed, rubbing the back of his head and staring at the lacrima, squinting at it. Hmm... So, I can control it while it's going slower... But not full speed? I'm going to need to work on that. The Shadow Dragon Slayer got up from his sitting position and then stood up, stretching out; he took a deep breath, which was a huge mistake. All you could smell was bird crap and feathers and raw bird, which almost made him vomit on the spot. ...I also better not do that... Ayeseru looked around him, and saw nothing, however, he knew Zack was in an encounter of sorts, due to his dragon senses, Ayeseru could smell where he was, and also detected three other unfamiliar scents, though they were definitely those of birds.
Ayeseru grinned and cracked his knuckles. "Let's get this party started." He grabbed on to the lacrima and then set soaring off to the location where the scent of Zack was coming from, though not at full speed... Quite yet. Quickly, he saw that Zack had already begun dealing with one of the birds, who appeared to possess a form of lightning magic, or could use lightning based attacks. Either way, the other two birds were for him to deal with, and they quickly spotted him approaching them with the lacrima in one hand. Instantly, they darted towards him, one narrowly missing, and the other narrowly being dodged. Should the Shadow Dragon Slayer had had both of his hands in a useable state, then one of the birds would already be knocked out, though, this time, he'd not only have to learn how to fly at maximum speed with ease with the lacrima, he also had to learn how to fight with one hand.
Well, this is going to be interesting... Ayeseru flew towards the bird with a slight increase of speed; enough to realistically get close to it before it realized what was going on. Ayeseru took his free fist and socked the bird, and smiled as he did so, and the bird dropped slightly. This is easy! ...No it isn't, you idiot. Ayeseru was forced to eat his words when that very same bird suddenly looked up and charged towards him, using the top of its beak to smack it against him, sending him flying back, nearly slipping off the lacrima. After he regained his balance, he was still given no break - the other bird came after him, and managed to graze his cheek, and as it flew past him, Ayeseru was able to bring down a foot to stomp it out of the air, though it flew next to its partner after it received the blow.
Normally, this would be an easy fight, but Ayeseru had to go through a learning curve, here.

Zack had managed to dodge a few of the lightning bolts, but that was because had had seen or felt them coming before they did. This new lightning shield it could generate seemed to fire off the bolts randomly which made it impossible to predict properly. However, that wasn't an issue for Zack as once more he flew at the lightning phoenix. As his instincts had told him as soon as he got close it through up that lightning shield and launched random bolts. However, rather than hitting Zack they were attracted to his swords, which he wasn't touching and bypassed him striking towards the ground. It was a good technique though he felt it was more luck that it worked than anything. The redirected lightning could of hit him after all. As he got closer he channelled magic into his green sword, his sword of the cold wind, and it swung slightly generating an area of intensely cold wind around the lightning phoenix. The cold air would chill the body and sometimes lead to frostbite. If it had been a weaker opponent it might of even frozen it solid. However, that wasn't what he was aiming for in this case. He was aiming to slow down its wing movements. Why? Because it was beating its wings quite quickly in order to hover in place to target him. Should those movements slow enough then its hovering ability would be denied. Well, aimed was perhaps a bit of a strong word. It was just what he felt was the right thing to do.
As the cold wind hit it the bird screeched out and let off a burst of lightning trying to disrupt the cold air. However, it didn't work. If it had focused on heating the air with its lightning it might of, but it seemed to be just trying to disrupt it with raw power. As such its wing beats began to slow and Zack noted ice building up on its feathers. That would add weight and make hovering even harder. Just as he expected it began to fall. However, rather than letting itself fall it instead went into a normal flight mode and began to fly about screeching madly like a creature he had once seen in a movie. The creature was called a Zaptres or a Zapticuno or something like that. He wasn't sure. It was perhaps this lacrima movie that had inspired his ice attack. As in that there were three big birds who all countered eachother in some way. One was fire, one was ice and one was lightning. If he remembered correctly, fire beat the ice, ice beat the lightning and lightning beat the fire. Of course, his memory could be completely wrong. He wasn't exactly gifted in that department afterall. Still, he had managed to make it move and even after it left the cold area it was still chilled and would be slowed for a little while. It was quite ideal.
He flew at it once more. This time it didn't generate the sphere of lightning it used as a shield and instead launched a bolt of energy from its mouth instead. This was less randomized and thus easier to dodge and he twirled round dodging it narrowly. As he got closer he prepared his swords and then struck at it side telekinetically with all three. This did some damage to it causing it to screech out in agony, but it also caused it to activate another defensive technique of some kind. A feather suddenly shot out from its side and stabbed Zack in the shoulder. Not only did this send him flying but it caused him to be hit by another bolt of lightning. He stagged about in the air and yanked out the feather. That had hurt like hell.
"You really are a fun opponent and you're not even the King." Zack said with a grin.

Ayeseru was bobbing and weaving; the two giant birds he had to deal with were being absolutely relentless. He tried flying one way, but then was forced back by a diving bird. Went the other, and he had to avoid getting his leg chopped off. The birds weren't the most dumb creatures, after all; "Seems like you guys redefine the words 'bird brain'..." They knew they had the advantage, and continued to go after Ayeseru in a hard manner, hardly giving him any time to think; he knew that if this continued, eventually, he'd get hit by one of the birds and fall from the sky, and have an... Uncomfortable landing. Knowing this, the Shadow Dragon Slayer had to act, and he had to act now. He preferred handling matters with his own fists whenever possible, so he attempted just that.
As one of the birds flew at him, he did the same... But with full speed. He zoomed past it, as the bird didn't expect that at all from Ayeseru, and as a result, didn't position its beak properly to attack, giving Ayeseru enough time to zoom backwards after taking a quick spin, however, what Ayeseru did not notice this time was the second bird; it was out of sight temporarily. The other bird was still darting forward, slowly reducing its speed. So, that is its weakness... It takes time for it to slow down. were Ayeseru's thoughts as he rapidly searched for the other bird. Then, suddenly, he caught a whiff of the bird behind him, and as he rapidly turned around, all he saw was a bird slamming its giant beak into his groin, sending him flying backwards.
However, this was different. Ayeseru lost his grip on his lacrima, and was now spinning rapidly in the air as he flew towards the other bird and was falling down at the same time. The bird, who at this point was able to slow down enough to turn around and see what was going on, saw the spinning Ayeseru and flew towards him, with its beak open. Ayeseru looked sideways to see that bird, and had a plan so ridiculous it might actually work. As he was flying towards the other bird, and it was approaching him, Ayeseru extended out his left hand, which the bird went after, though right before it caught his hand, Ayeseru instantly withdrew it and grabbed its talons with his right, quickly climbing the bird and digging his hands into its back, squeezing incredibly hard.
The bird shrieked in pain and tried wriggling Ayeseru off of its back. It was tough, very tough. The Shadow Dragon Slayer had to constantly re-place his feet and tighten his grip on the pained bird, till, eventually, it succumbed to Ayeseru's will. Somehow, during all of this, instead of dropping like a bullet, the lacrima was still floating in the air, probably because Ayeseru's desire to fly was still strong. Ayeseru commanded the subdued bird to go to it by pressing down on its back, causing it to lightly squak and go to the lacrima. Once they got there, Ayeseru used one hand to grab the lacrima out of the sky and into his pocket, making the bird turn around and face the other bird.
Neither was all too happy.

It truly was a powerful opponent. Zack couldn't get close. Everytime he did it let out a blast of lightning forcing him back. Instinct gave him the answer and he threw his weakest sword at it. It was blasted away by the shield, but that was all Zack needed. A brief opening. He flew in close and telekinetically swung out with two of his sword and sliced into the phoenix's body.
The phoenix roared out in pain and swung round so it was facing him. It flew at him opening its mouth and let out a blast of lightning. Zack didn't know why he did it. HE couldn't explain it later either. It wasn't like he'd had a lot of experience with this kind of thing for his body to know how to react. However, his body did know how to react. Years of fighting had obviously made his instincts better even than he thought. Thus in response to the bolt he did something rather strange. He didn't pull his swords back, he didn't try to dodge. No, instead he swung out with the feather and batted the bolt aside. It didn't make much sense either. Earlier the feather had seemed to direct a bolt of lightning to him, but this time it had blocked it. He didn't try to explain instead he dropped down, avoiding the beast itself, and then flew upwards thrusting out with all three swords using his telekinetic control. All three stabbed into it causing it to shriek in agony. Yet it didn't falter or fall. In fact, it somehow managed to force the swords out of its body and back at Zack covered in lightning. Zack however directed them round himself and back at the lightning phoenix. This time he went for the wings. The weakest of his swords was deflected away, but the other two hit it in the wings. The beast let out a roar of pain and began to fall down towards the ground, hitting a large rock as it did so. Zack dropped down and removed his swords.
He observed the beast for a short while. It appeared to still be alive, just unconcious, and somehow its wings were already healing. Zack was no murdered. HE would not kill a defenceless creature and besides he had proven himself stronger than it. He doubted it woudl bother him again.
He turned to face the sky and watched Ayeseru in the sky. The man was fighting two birds of stone, but one of them...he was fighting whilst atop it. No, he was riding it. It was fighting him like mad, but soon it gave in and was submissive. A rock condor, as Zack named it in his head, was obeying him. This would be an interesting fight to watch. A good learning experience he was sure. He wondered how Ayeseru had done it. Was it through force or through some other means? He would have to ask. He focused his senses and stretched out trying to detect any other opponents. There was nothing nearby at the moment.

Ayeseru eyed the other bird carefully, attempting to read its movement and predicting where it would go; against normal opponents, this would be quite a simple feat, though these were no normal foes, for one real reason - they were birds, and though they were birds, they were quite formidable. He didn't realize it at the moment, though while he was mounting the current bird he was on, its talons were somehow able to cut his eyebrow, causing it to bleed, yet, he didn't notice it; all of his focus was on the opponent before him, and how he could potentially end the battle with a single move, and that's when it hit him, though he would need compliance from his new found companion, which could betray him at a moments notice, so the following move was risky.
As soon as the opposing bird made a movement, Ayeseru issued his companion to follow its pattern exactly, which was registered, and thus would commit to do the same. Then, the bird whose pattern was being copied, instantly shot itself like a torpido towards the duo, primarily aiming for the bird, as well. Noticing this, Ayeseru ran to the head of his companion instantly, and launched himself towards the other bird, landing on its beak, though taking damage from the speed, but then grabbing it, forcing it to turn its direction upwards. Meanwhile, Ayeseru's companion bird stopped instantly, looking as though it felt... Betrayed? It was being targeted primarily with the last attack, so, that would tell the tale.
However, while all of this was nice and dandy and all, Ayeseru was struggling. For some odd reason, the bird he was dealing with was able to overpower him. In fact, it was so powerful, that it could shake Ayeseru at any moment, but it didn't, instead, it willingly opened its mouth, and attempted to shut it whilst Ayeseru was stuck in its beak; it was too powerful, allowing for an assumption that it was using a form of physical enhancement. Ayeseru was barely able to keep its beak open, though it was slowly able to close it as time went on, eventually, getting to the stage where Ayeseru was on his knees, with his hands on the lower part of its beak, using his back as a final attempt to keep the beak open, without him being snapped in half. Gritting his teeth, he had no idea where Zack was, and it seemed as though that the bird he was able to subdue had betrayed him; something he expected, though he didn't expect what was happening now.
Suddenly, the grip got weaker, and weaker, and weaker, to the point where it was completely limp, though Ayeseru was now flying out of its beak, aiming for the ground. He wasn't able to get out his flying lacrima, so he was descending quickly. Just before he hit the ground, something swooped in from below, and he landed in a pile of soft feathers, and heard a squak of what seemed to be delight, and in the corner of his eye, saw the bird he was locked in battle with, falling, and then, turning his head to see who his savior was, and it was, in fact, the bird he had subdued.
Seems like they had become friends already.

It seemed that Ayeseru had tamed the beast to quite a high level. He used it as a tool and even after he had done so it saved him from a potentially fatal fall, though probably not for a slayer. Zack had been zooming over just in case to catch the guy from the fall when he saw the bird save him. It seemed his buddy had a way with animals. "That was good." Zack said landing nonchalantly next to the shadow slayer and grinned. "I honestly wouldn't of thought of that." Zack was about to say more when he sniffed the air and then expanded his senses to the maximum. Something or somethings were coming.
There was a screech in the air and he turned to see three of the stone birds. That was an annoyance, but what caused him to stare for so long was that he could barely see them. They were shadowed over by what he initially thought was a mountain. Flying mountains being not that strange when you were on a floating island. However, it was feathered in a dark purple. It was a gigantic purple bird. It was huge, at least as big as the big bang shark they had faced earlier. Suddenly it began to spin rapidly and the three stone birds flew out of its way. It was flying like a drill at them. A huge mountain sized drill. This was a technique Zack himself used quite often, but he couldn't even compare with this scale even with all his buffs.
It was barely even phazed by the cold area that it flew through. He had no choice, but to activate his teleport spell. He vanished appearing to the side of the beast and flew at it spinning himself like a drill. His speed wasn't as great as it could be as he wasn't using any buffs, but with luck he could hit it hard enough to do some damage. Or at least to redirect it away from Ayeseru or give him a chance to dodge. He yelled out in fury drilling into its side. It was moved slightly, but barely anything. Zack's blades stabbed into its side and stuck in. However, this caused him to be caught up in its spinning so he was hurtled round a good few times before he managed to kick off of it and pull out his blades. It was a good job he used spinning otherwise he would of been screwed over with dizziness.
He had barely scratched it. It hadn't even screamed out in pain or reacted in any way. He doubted he had even slowed it. Somehow they had to hurt this thing. It was likely stronger than the other two they had faced so far. The big bang shark had its lasers and explosions. The wolf had its speed, but this had size, power, speed and from what his eyepatch told him insane levels of magic power. It had to have some extra powers hidings up its sleeves. The question now was what. On top of that they had the three stone birds to deal with who had circled about ready to strike anything that survived the initial drilling.
Zack was forced to use his second warp to teleport out of the way of the three who crossed in a strange triangle function. The triangle caused a huge blast of magic power to flare up in the centre that would of done some serious damage. It seemed these things hunted bests in threes. Perhaps they could use that to his advantage with Ayeseru's one. Possibly.

After patting the bird lightly, Ayeseru smiled at Zack upon his landing on the bird. Now that Ayeseru was thinking about it, his companion had no name, so eventually, Ayeseru would need to give it one. In response to what Zack said, Ayeseru simply smiled, and gave him a huge thumbs up; he may seem like a jerk for this, depends on the eye of the beholder. Ayeseru then noticed that Zack was doing something strange, but quickly gasped once she realized exactly what he was doing - he was using his senses to the maximum. Suddenly, Zack moved outwards, which, in turn, caused Ayeseru to stomp on his companion, sending him down for a few seconds before it regained its flight capabilities. Before the bird had time to get annoyed, they both looked up, and saw this enormous raven-like creature, easily the size of a mountain, fly overhead, which caused any feelings of resentment to instantly vanish. Ayeseru glanced over towards Zack, and saw that he in the middle of three birds, exact same species as Ayeseru's companion.
They formed a triangle formation around him, and all of them shot out ray of magical energy towards him, which, if Zack hadn't worked his way around, would've caused some serious damage. Using the new found knowledge Zack practically handed to him on a silver platter, he had a plan, as well. He whispered a few words towards his companion, and he, or she, would squak in an understanding fashion, prepared and ready to know what to do, however, there were three birds, and only two of them; Ayeseru turned his head to look towards Zack, and gave him a half grin, signaling that he was expecting him to help out with the plan.
The companion turned to face the three birds, and Ayeseru was running, and running, and running, up to the point where Ayeseru jumped from its head, and was now soaring in the air. Before he had a chance to fall, however, Ayeseru activated his spell: Shadow Dragon's Wings. Instantly, shadows formed on his back, and took the shape of glorious wings, enabling Ayeseru to take flight once more. It was both a beautiful, and frightening scene, because an additional effect was that Ayeseru's body would become a shadow, his eyes glowing red, though the wings had black feathers falling from them, giving it an elegant feeling, or so Ayeseru felt. Using his new flight ability, he charged towards the middle bird, and tackled it in an American Football-like tackle, a move which he knew as a "Spear". Afterwards, Ayeseru kicked the bird, sending it hovering 25 feet away, giving him some distance, grinning in mischief, and then flying towards his left side, baiting him.
Enraged, the bird followed him, and as the other two had their backs turned, both Zack and the bird companion each gave a stone bird a good sock in the head; the companion bird also tackled it, following Ayeseru's movements exactly, while Zack decided to look cool and would headbutt the giant beast, dazing it temporarily before scattering out. The companion bird brought its bird to the more left side of the mountain-sized raven, Zack to the more right side, as Ayeseru brought it far above, in the middle. Signaling both Zack and his bird companion to get in the middle of the raven, it was all going according to plan. Once Zack and the bird companion had reached the middle Ayeseru took flight even higher, and because the light of the sky would not allow him to go further, his wings vanished, and he would begin to plummet, but that wasn't his worry, because everything was in place.
As he fell, and fell past both Zack and his bird companion, he gave them a thumbs up and a surprisingly non-cheesy wink, obviously very confident in both of them. Ayeseru zoomed towards the ground, about to hit it, and did.
In his shadow mode.
His shadow exploded in all directions, before quickly forming back into a whole shadow, scaling up a tree, and transforming back to a more human form, smiling as he looked up at the scene above him. He knew they would be just fine, being able to escape the beams that the trio of birds were creating that would be shot in the center.
He just couldn't wait to see the results of the plan.

The level to which Ayeseru had managed to tame the beast was amazing. With little effort he got it to acheive quite a complex plan which involved using the bird's strange energy beams against their master. It was a team effort and proved just how much this mission had bonded the pair of slayers. They hadn't even worked together a full day and they were already able to execute such a plan.
Zack dodged out of the way of the beams at the final moment and the three beams collided and launched a huge blast of energy which hit the Emperor Crow. The crow let out a huge screech of pain and crashed into a mountain and what's more ploughed straight through it. It was quite amazing that the three birds had so much power within them. Such a strange magical reaction. The emperor crow though was more amazing. It emerged from the rubble and fired off a flurry of huge feathers. These sliced through the stone birds and instantly killed them. Zack stared for a moment before letting out a bellow of rage.
If there was one thing he hated it was people betraying their friends. Sure the birds had hit him by accident, but that was no excuse for destroying them. Maybe some sort of harsh punishment of some kind, but that was ridiculous. Life was precious. He only ever killed if he had to. He would of let the battle wolf and big bang shark live if he'd been able to. However, he had not been able to. Yet it wasn't the wanton destruction of life that pissed him off so much. Instead it was the fact it had killed its allies. Zack was a lone wolf by nature, but he always defended his allies, temporary or otherwise, with his life.
This beast had pushed him too far and he flew at it like a missile. He didn't buff himself. He didn't try anything tricky like spinning. He didn't even have his swords at the ready. They had been dropped out of his hands and floated along side him. The beast stared unable to react in time due to the damage it had received. As such it got the full force of Zack's fury in one powerful punch that actually managed to knock it over. He floated above it blades floating into his hands. He was breathing heavily his aura displaying clearly his fury. The beast rose up and then vanished in a flurry of feathers appearing some distance away.
It seemed it could teleport, but Zack didn't care. He flew at it once more. It let out a flurry of feathers, but Zack didn't stop instead he swung his swords in a flurry blocking them as much as possible. Several of them cut into him, but it wasn't enough to stop him. He hit it once more this time slicing it across the eye with one of his blades blinding it. However, he used the spinning motion of the slash to axe kick it hard dazing it slightly. If he'd been buffed by his Emperor's mantle then it would likely have been knocked to the ground. Zack was truly in a state of pure beastial fury.
