Max backed away carrying Mari in his arms, trying to give them some distance from their recent clash with the mage and his attack. When suddenly the scenery begun to change around them as the sky suddenly turned gray and a sudden downpour appeared that drenched their clothing and Max's fur as they floated within the air while Ken held off the mage, while Max dropped onto the ground. He placed Mari on the ground before dropping himself onto the ground.

"...Well that turn out uneffective.....please finish him off....master."

Max said as he tried to catch his breath and placed his hands onto his knees before walking away looking for somewhere safe to hang around in the mean time. Mari walked over to both Ken and the mage were fighting off, while Mari charged from behind.

"Fire Dragon's Sword Horn!"

She shouted before being engulfed in fire before propelling herself toward the mage at full speed with her head first before striking his back and knocking him forward.

"Fire Dragon's Crushing Talon!"

Mari quickly flipped over with her right leg ignited in fire as she plowed downward onto the mage before he spun around and pulled his staff outward in a defensive position. Crashing her leg into the staff, she broke it in two leaving him speech less before being angered and steam would blow off from his body.

Seeing the steam come off of the fire mage's body Nightken quickly prepared for anything. The fire mage turned around and charged at him throwing the broken staff aside. "Burning Palm!!!" He yelled as Nightken dodged out of the way, but wasn't out of danger just yet. "Come spirits of flames burn all those who appose you to ashes." As he said that his body started to turn into flames as he rushed at him slamming one of his arms towards him. Blocking the attack by slamming his Nidai Kitetsu into the ground he caused a fifteen foot explosion that stopped the arm slam. "Both of you get off of here I'll see you at the bottom." He said hopping down the hole in the roof that was made from the explosion he used himself as bait to draw the raging fire mage away. Using his lightning body spell he quickly moved away and placed his Ramei Okami on his shoulder causing it to grow to fifteen feet. Launching the two fifteen foot shock-waves through the building they hit the support beams which made the building to start shifting. As he ran through the building the fire mage was catching the inside on fire. He shot a wave of flames at him as they made their way to the stairway, but missed as Nightken jumped from stairwell to stairwell. Continuing to chase after him the fire mage was getting more and more angry as his flames grew hotter to match his anger. They made it to a straight hallway and he thought this was his chance which is why he went to tackle him. Waiting for the right moment he jumped out the window and landed on several sacks of flour that haven't been touched by the fires. Once he was out the building started to shake as it began to collapse in on itself.

Mari lifted herself from the ground as Ken took the chance to get the mages attention and get him to chase after Ken. This gave Mari a bit of time to recover herself a bit before grabbing her guantlets and throwing them into the air above her head before thrusting her hands directly in them without a second try need, grabbing their tightening strips within seconds before yanking on them tightening them around her wrist.

"Flaming Torrent - Arms of Ash"

She spoke under her breath before her arms were engulfed in a burning rage of fire, enlightening herself and her surroundings she quickly went into a crouching position before propelling herself up and outward toward the same direction Ken ran. Landing on a rooftop she'd continue to run, before stopping at the sound of a building suddenly crashing and combusting into rubble. She watched as Ken would fall from above as if jumping from the roof or another high part of the building, but was the mage within the building, Mari couldn't know. She stood at the edge of the building she was on top of watching the building crumble to the ground while a burning red Halberd would stand tall through the rubble, held by the mage covered in bruises and blood.

"......Both of you should learn your place!"

He spoke in a dark tone. Mari grinded her teeth before her flames would erupt and threw herself into a crouching position once again before propelling herself forward toward the mage while cocking her fist back.

"Fire Dragon's Flaming Elbow!"

She shouted as her elbow blasted a large amount of fire blasting her forward in front of the mage in seconds. He pulled his weapon up and threw the end of the staff toward the fist of Mari, throwing it off balance causing her to miss. She clenched her fist harder before propelling herself up into the air once again but at a much closer position this time.

"Fire Dragon's Crushing Impact!"

She shouted before her arms above her exploded in a burning radiance as it propelled toward the mage with his eyes widened, having not enough time to pull his weapon ready and was struck in the stomach before a explosion on contact sent him flying backward and through a building. Mari flew through the smoke left behind throwing a punch toward the mage but he countered with a punch that clashed with her sending them both back in opposite directions.

"...This....This is how a Fairy Tail...fights?"

He asked himself trying to catch his breath as Mari lifted her arms to her sides before thrusting them forward concentrating a large array of fire in both hands.

"Flaming Twin Pillars: Combined!"

She shouted before pulling both hands back under her right arm before sending a large beam of fire 10inches in diameter the mage chuckled.

"Haha! You think that could stop me!"

He shouted before thrusting a open palm toward the pillar of fire, suddenly taken away by the physcial force of the attack sending him flying and breaking his own arm. Rolling across the ground his weapon on the ground, he coughed up blood fully angered by the situation.

"BLAZE!"

He shouted before being surrounded by a fiery aura and propelling himself toward Mari with the Halberd held only in his left hand.

"Four strike combo!"

He shouted before swing blade down onto Mari, catching it between her hands before the Mage kick her in the stomach, losing her concentration he swung the Halberd horizontally into Mari's right side sending her flying into the building closest to her.

"Halberds Burning Slash!"

He shouted trying to slash his weapon downward before noticing the weight was to strong before it causing to fall in a different direction striking a food stall, with a man nearby.

"MY CABBAGES!!!!"

Seeing the fire mage miss with his attack Nightken took the chance to launch all of the shock-waves from his swords hoping that at least one hits. He noticed a small jolt of electricity start moving around his body and then he dropped the flame halberd suffering from muscle spasms after the smoke cleared. Before the guy hit the ground he dashed at him with his lightning body, while in the dash the blade of the Ramei Okami was down towards the ground and once getting to the enemy Nightken pulled the blade forward in an upward slash doing a full one-eighty over his head leaving a residual trail of lightning from the sword. With the fire mage launched in the air he took the chance to finish this fight. he shot his Lightning Spear at him striking him while in the air. As he fell he was hit by a negative pulse and shortly after was struck by a ten foot orb of electricity, being pulled into it he was heavily electrocuted. Before he hit the ground Nightken stuck his swords into the ground as a ring of blue and black lightning appeared around him and gathered into his palm. Dashing at the helpless fire mage he struck him in the back leaving a hand shaped burn mark as his arm started to bleed from the over use of Rikiri Unleashed. When he hit the ground Nightken finished it with Boa Zekaruga. A large magic circle appears in front of him as a fifteen foot long dragon made of pure lightning came forth and attacked the fire mage. The dragon had eight foot long fangs that resemble that of a sabertooth cat. "N-Noooooo!!!" The fire mage yelled as the spell dragon picked him up with its mouth and slammed it shut. When it disappeared the fire mage was slightly charred, but still alive. Nightken sheathed his swords and fell to his knees from exhaustion.

After about twenty minutes of gathering all of the fire mages they defeated a group of eight Rune Knights showed up with a carriage for the criminals. "Thank you for all your help." The Rune Knight that was most likely in charge said to both of them. Putting inhibitor collars on all of the fire mages gathered up they put them in the carriage and sent three of their own with it. "Let's go you two I just want this job to be over with." He said to both Max and Mari looking down at his arm. One of the Rune Knights stopped them as they went to leave. [color:3b53=#ffffff"This isn't all fire damage is it?"] He asked looking at Nightken like he remembered him from somewhere. "We're leaving there isn't anything else for us to say to you." As he said that the town mayor came up and handed both of them the money for the job and said. "We are truly grateful for all you have done for us." They headed back home after the rain stopped.
