A seed when planted will take root, then sprout. With proper care, guidance and love a rose will bloom. Let us not forget that the greatest field of roses, grew from the tiniest sprout. These thoughts popped up in Spirits mind as he received his guild tattoo. The guild representative gave Spirit a hug and a kiss on the cheek before leaving to complete a job. After receiving his tattoo a wavering forcefield of raw magical power spanning across the distance of both sides of the ravine appeared. Without the mark he would have would simply walked over the rose-hued field as if the ravine weren't even there, almost like a fully-sealed window pane made of a giant bubble. Despite having advanced magical senses compared to other mages he still didn't detect the forcefield until now. Impressive he thought to himself.
Descending down into the ravine he approached the guild house and entered. Passing shops and avoiding the grand chapel for now he would head to the main tavern/dinning hall where he figured he'd meet most people. Hopefully here he would find his new family, and by his expectation power. Spirit aspired to become one of the greats, if not the greatest wizard. Knowing such goals might be even a little much he instead has settled for greatest wizard who uses a form of time magic.
Taking a seat Spirit would just observe everyone. He received a few looks, hellos and handshakes asking who he was and welcoming him to the guild but no one really approached him much longer than that seeing as how they all seemed in a rush or already occupied. Raising his hand he would order some food; rose water, and a beef and potato stew. After the journey he had getting here he was ready for a good filling meal. Once he finished eating Spirit would see that there was a small stage. Hearing his guiding spirit in his mind he would have a small conversation in his mind before approaching the stage.
"You should go sing up on the stage. It might be a nice icebreaker for everyone to hear your angelic voice. In all my thousands of years your voice is the closest to magically enhanced as I've ever heard."
"I was planning on it and please stop with that. You know it embarrasses me and probably not remotely true."
Continuing his conversation he would eventually finish and go up to the stage. Popping out of his backpack would be a small emerald colored dragon that would perch up on his shoulder. The dragon would blow out some bubbles as Spirit began to sing.
Go the Distance
After finishing his sound he would take a seat again. Hoping people liked the song he would start to glance at the job board. Even though he had just arrived he had the urge to just get started. Show he was a go getter devoted to helping and becoming stronger.
