Simon looked really injured as he crawled towards the tree when Mari was struggled to attack the vulcan. Hika hated herself for being so useless since she couldn't do almost anything to help them. She bit her lip and clenched her fists as she watched Mari thrashed her Dragon's Fists in the vulcan's face. Hika's brows knitted together to the center of her forehead in concentration, hoping that Simon would be okay. She mumbled the words of her spell and summoned a wall right in front of the vulcan.

"Iron Rock Wall!"

She was planning to hold off the monster at a distance while either Simon or Mari would pound at the vulcan, for the last time, before the wall is broken since it won't last much any longer. Maybe, they might be able to win this time? But seeing Simon's situation, he shouldn't fight anymore. She had no doubts that every one of them was very exhausted.

After what seemed like a never ending time Simon was finally able to get a grasp of the situation and the world seemed to at last settle on it's axis. He watched Mari and Hikari assail the vulcan with their magics, he felt helpless he was hesitant to jump into the fray at risk of further injury and he doubted he had the strength left for a proper attack but he couldn't just leave them to finish the fight. He checked back over his supplies and went over his abilities in his head to see if there was anything he could use to his advantage; at first he was at a total lost then a blast of creativity struck him. He got his first aid kit and rope out of his back pack and putting long hours of knot tying and fist aid training into action.

After just a minute Simon had a makeshift noose that he had wrapped in gauze to strengthen it, he wasn't really sure if the gauze helped but it certainly didn't hurt, he took a drink of water and a second to mentally prep himself before taking action. At this point all he could do was hope that he wasn't hallucinating and everything really was at it appeared, otherwise this would be very painful and mildly embarassing. Using the little magic and energy he had left Simon charge the vulcan holding the rope/gauze noose in his hands, he hurdled Hikari's rock wall and watched in terror as his plan came together. The vulcan swung it's fist up at Simon as he sailed through the air, as the fist collided with Simon and sent him flying towards the trees the mage flung the noose's end and managed to catch the vulcan's arm in it. The momentum of the vulcan's punch carried Simon into the branches of a nearby tree where despite his once again spinning vision he carried out the final stage of his plan. He wrapped the rope around the branch and intentionally rolled off the branch while still clinging to the rope, as he fell the rope went taunt and tightened, temporarily immobilizing the arm of the vulcan he had hooked and saved Simon from hitting the ground hard.

The vulcan didn't take this sitting down, he violently yanked on the rope in one violent swing of his arm. The rope, nor the branch were strong enough and he snapped both of them, freeing his arm and sending Simon crashing to the ground with a thud.

Mari watched as she caught her breath and her bones cracked a bit in her fingers as she clenched her hands fiercely. He feet crushed through the ground beneath her as the raging fiery aura scorched the grass beneath her, as she stood in front of the vulcan. Simon suddenly from down on the ground had ran into battle and was stuck by the vulcan with abnormal force had threw him into the forest themselves but what Mari hadn't noticed was seen once the Vulcan's arm was suddenly strung up and pulled on.

She watched the vulcan struggle for a bit before being aggravated and yanked on the rope ripping it in half and releasing him from its grip. As he gotten released he retrieved a large branch and swung it fiercly around trying to back away the mages.

He swung it with full strength but only swung at air as he was doing it. He roared a few times as he did so hoping that he would scare them off but he knew that he was being trapped in a corner that was going to be hard to get out.

Mari on the other hand was placed in front of him as he swung, as one of his swings round housed her in the ribs the branch was torched as well as his hand as it entered the aura. The vulcan throwing the torch on the ground had backed away slightly. Mari brought both hands above her head and swung downward onto the Vulcan, who quickly used one of his large hands to grab both her hands together and smiled, showing his teeth.

Mari smiled back as she looked toward him, before throwing her head back inhaling as she did.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!"

She shouted as she threw her head forward releasing a large twister of flames that struck the vulcan in the chest. He released her hands and was sent into the air in a diagonal fashion, and went through the trees crashing through branches and the leaves that fell were burnt to nothing as the flames ignited them. As the vulcan was sent back into the skies, was suddenly heading downward back toward the ground with more speed. Mari tried to knee him as she jumped toward him but missed as watched him hurdle toward the ground crashing into it like a pancake.

"Guys finish him."

She shouted as she begun her decent toward the immobile vulcan.

Hika was panting hard, her breath ragged and rough. She realized that she was already at her limit now. Wiping the sweat beads off her forehead, she noticed Simon came rushing in to save the day. Hika stretched her arms a little bit and relaxed, as she closed her eyes, summoning up every bit of last drop of energy she had. She, then, open her eyes slowly, extending out her right hand and muttered, "Iron Rock Fist". The ground beneath her shook as two enormous rock fists stormed their way up the ground, charging towards the Vulcan. The fists successfully smashed into the Vulcan's face with all their might. "Hell Yeah!!"

The Vulcan looked seriously pissed off but Hika was insanely happy. This is going to end, She smirked as she folded her arms and watched the furious Vulcan stormed its way towards her. Swiftly, Hika cocked her head to one side just the right time when the Vulcan swinged his arm aggressively down upon her. "Woah there. Calm down, man," Hika was too elated to do anything. Her attack was finally a triumph and both Mari and Simon kept pounding on the Vulcan though Simon was sprawled on the ground again. Game's Over.

This was probably the worst case of deva ju ever. Simon felt very much as he had minute ago, with the whirling darkness in his vision and the cloudy thoughts and all in all this just sucked ass. The vulcan looked like it was just ready to topple over at any given moment; given just the slightest push. Simon felt like shit for getting beat up this badly and not being able to finish off the opponent he chose for himself. It put a bad taste in his mouth, and it mixed awfully with the taste of blood and sweat in fact there were very few things that tasted worse then being useless, blood and sweat all mixed together. He tried willing himself to stand and just shake off the pain like one of the really cool mages like Heero or Leonard; but Simon finally found the point where "mind over matter" really met it's match. He's limbs weren't listening to him; he couldn't even move enough to find a slightly more comfortable way to writhe on the ground, not to mention when he tried to open his mouth to spit the blood out he had found himself incapable of doing that too.

He continued waging a mental war of will power, regardless of how hopeless it seemed he kept fighting against the bonds of his upper limits just so he could feel better about being useless. He wasn't sure how long it actually was, but when you are painted a deep shade of pain time passed at a crawl and after what seemed like forever Simon just broke down crying. He had once promised he wouldn't cry ever again, but the pain he felt just completely dwarfed his will power. He tried and failed to sigh, submitting himself to whatever would happen.

The vulcan limped toward Simon who was on the ground waging a war of his own and probably doesn't realize that the vulcan could still move. It stumbled over himself and after a while had to crawl with its hands just to move. The vulcan roared where he stood before dropping onto the ground with a large thud, some clouds of dust spilled outward before disappearing into the air. The vulcans endurance couldn't withstand another second in battle and it seemed neither could simon's as he soon would black out.

Mari reached the ground as Hikari would walk toward the group and downed vulcan. Mari could only sigh before being reminded of the women still stuck in the tree. She was slightly swinging side to side with her cheeks puffed out in annoyance for their constant ignorance of her significance in the battle. Mari burnt a part of the vine to watch it snap and caught the women in her arms. Apologizing Mari walked toward Simon and threw him onto her back to carry him.

"Alright, looks like we're done here."

She said as she adjusted Simon on her back and walked toward the light that would lead out of the forest. Since they were so close to Mangolia, they decided to head there first. They went straight toward the guild hall where the women's husband was waiting for the word of her safety, they ran toward each other before throwing themselves into on another hugging tightly. Mari on the other hand went straight into the guild before allowing some of the healer mages to take care of Simon and Hikari after receiving her payment had went toward the train station and went back to her own guild.
