Man, what a banger that was rushing through. This one, magical night, Mura ditched the earphones as his surroundings provided him with the music that he needed - it was time to rave, as one would say. His head banging uncontrollably to the catchy rhythms and dropping beats from classics and favorite bands of his playing their ecstatic songs in such fashion that made everyone know that tonight was rocking. Okay, whoever came up with this event - the Urban Nights - was an absolute genius and had won Mura’s heart; I mean, look around!
The streets were painted in neon lights! Such strong, contrasting colors; screaming nuances of blue, green, purple and orange. Some people were even dotted with these paints, but nobody paid any mind to it. If anything, it helped them blend in with the surroundings. Graffiti was widespread too; words like ‘SMASHING’ and ‘URBAN NIGHTS’ were drawn on the walls, floors and poles around the capital. DJ booths were spread out, so there wasn’t a single soul out of the vicinity of the musical waves from one of these. With all of this happening, how had Mura gotten here?
He had prepared days in advance. His wear was black and had strong, yellow edges and lines on it that reflected the same, neon lights from the surrounding decorations. His hair was tied in a spiky bush, and he, Kyuken and Zirconis were more than ready to stroll through Crocus and party. While the two ghosts couldn’t don anything specific for the occasion, they too were curious enough about this new event to accompany Mura.
Although they got lost quite quickly…
HOWEVER! None of that mattered, for Mura had no reason to feel lonely without those two spirits by his side. Today, or rather tonight, was a privileged night, for… oh wait, she wasn’t here…
…
N-Nevermind that! Mythica was probably busy with her business… although, it stung his heart a little. It would’ve been fun to hang out with her tonight.
He managed to distract himself away from those sad thoughts when a DJ’s booth reeled him into a booth. The DJ appeared to recognize him, and his next words would conclude that assumption. “Hey, hey! Let’s have a Wizard Saint up on the tableeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!” His sudden enthusiasm to pull Mura up on the stage caused a small pearl of sweat to trickle off of Mura’s forehead, but it seemed that the DJ just wanted Mura to try his job out. Whether if it was for fun or if he was secretly trying to mock the Saint by having him fail miserably in front of hundreds, Mura saw no reason why not to try… at the very least…
*hyUCK*
Oh, there was a hiccup… anyways-
As he walked up the small stairway to reach the disc table where all the music was administrated from, Mura happened to stumble upon the spirit of a deceased, young man. “… Wait, you can see me?!” the ghost spoke up in a mild shock, and Mura nodded silently as the other DJ next to him paid no mind to what he couldn’t see or hear.
“T-That’s perfect! Hey, you’re like famous around here, right?! Listen, I’ve been around here for a while, and nobody can see me! I think I’m losing my mind or something…!”
“Uh…”
Things took a dark turn when Mura explained to the ghost that he was actually dead. As Mura stod in front of the disc table and saw all the tools and devices in front of him - including a disc player and two, wide and black discs that could be moved around by his own hands - the ghost wiped away his sobs and got an idea. “Hey… can I ask for a favor, pleeeeaaaaaaaase? I’ve always wanted to do this…”
“… D-Do wha-“
… … … … … …
And that was how Mura suddenly managed to blow away the audience with sharp, blasting beats and tunes from the discs in his hands as if he had been working as a professional DJ for ages. While nobody else noticed his conversation with the ghost due to the music, Mura had let himself be possessed by said ghost so his last wish of playing for an audience as a DJ like this could be fulfilled.
Tears could be seen flowing down the possessed Mura’s cheeks… tears of gratitude…
