Name: Godfrey of house Ushil. Count of Ushil-Crachton, the Knight of Pestilence.
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Birthday: 8 January
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics:
Personality:
First a few things about the house of Ushil
Godfrey’s father, Ulan, was the count of the counties Ushil and Crachton
in the kingdom of Pergrande, the capital and the castle of Count Ulan where
called Ushil. So, it was common to say the county of Ushil(-Crachton),
the house of Ushil, the town of Ushil or the castle of Ushil when people
referenced to something that was named Ushil.
Godfrey has actually two personalities. One himself and one infused into him which is the personality of Bator, his father’s hangman. He got this personality infused into himself after he stole the hangman’s axe and kept pretending that he was the hangman. Godfrey will have conversations with his axe which replies in the voice and temperament of Bator, though that happens in Godfrey’s mind. However, sometimes Godfrey is overtaken my ‘Bator’ and speaks and acts like him, a rude peasant.
Godfrey liked to hunt and butcher the animals he had hunted. It was a something where he could put his anger into which was caused by the suspicion of the people and the abuse of his brothers. He admired the hangman and has asked his father many times if he could be his hangman. Ulan dismissed that dream time after time, he was of noble birth after all. Godfrey eventually stole the axe from the hangman and played around with it in secret, pretending to do the dirty work. This contributed to his split personality.
Godfrey fell in love with a girl who didn’t love him back and then he decided to abduct her. He brought her to a hunting cabin, he had killed the owner and kept here there. He tried to convince her to love him, but nothing helped. Eventually, he threatened her with the hangman’s axe, she said she rather died then life with a creep and then his split personality came to the surface for the first time. He killed her in his rage as ‘Bator’.
He hasn’t been home for weeks but when he returned he the town infested by the black plague and rushed to the castle. Godfrey fell ill by the plague as well but made an astonished fast recovery in just two days after the priest had given him medicine and prayers, however, his appearance changed into what he looks like now. Meanwhile, the cabin had been searched by concerned friends of the hunter and found his remains and the slaughtered girl. Everyone knew that Godfrey had a crush on her and they reported it to the castle. His father knew that it was the doing of Godfrey and denounced him as his son, he told the people that he was indeed a bastard. Conceived by his wife and the priest. The priest was hanged by the angry mob, but Godfrey was kept in the dungeon, awaiting trial. The priest was suspected to have caused the plague and now the castle was infected as well. The brothers and father of Godfrey got infected as well, along a bunch of Watchmen and servants. The only friend of Godfrey, Gawen who is a son of a butcher in town, sneaked into the castle and freed Godfrey from his cell. They both hide within the church’s tombs, where they discovered a hidden room. This room was filled with alchemy items and artefacts. Including a metal shard which took the interest from Godfrey. It was in this room where he learned the ‘magic’ that he utilizes, the “Kha’rat’s Jar: Pestilence”. Godfrey learned that the shard was part of part of a jar, the jar of a mighty demon called Kh’rt, from a book in the room. Kh’rt was banished to the void by the gods and his jars, that contained many evils of the world where shattered. Godfrey performed a ritual to summon Kh’rt in a phantom form and established a contract. Godfrey was to become the horsemen of Pestilence and would be one of the four horsemen to lead the armies of Kh’rt. Godfrey was to collect all the shards of the jar of Pestilence and grow more powerful. Godfrey wasn’t capable of using magic but he could summon the powers from shard with his stamina and willpower but this has limits and could even damage his health.
They waited in a tomb of the Church until the coast was clear to reappear on the surface and Godfrey claimed the fiefs that belonged to the diseased Ulan Ushil as his only surviving heir, he didn’t believe that he was a bastard.
Godfrey is done with following others or at least those that he deems lesser men. He will not accept the lead of people that are of his level or bellow and only those that are significantly higher or have shown their worthiness to Godfrey.
Godfrey is used to fight underneath other commanders but now has some problems with that since had a taste of what it is to be on the top of the pyramid. He will follow charismatic people but would rather be his own leader. He was used to command an infantry regiment back in the days under his father’s rule and had learned quite some things of that. Now he has a small band of loyal man-at-arms under his command. Godfrey, as himself, is a patient strategist and this can be viewed in his fighting methods which consist mostly out defending and calculated strikes. Which stands in contrast with his other personality, Bator, whom just swings his axe like a madman (quite literally).
Godfrey uses mainly weapons like swords, lance’s, crossbows and his precious Hangman’s Axe or sometimes called Bator. He uses his ‘magic’ to aid in his fighting.
Godfrey’s heraldry is an Argent stag’s head on a field of sabre, which he uses as his own heraldry. He changed his families coat of arms to an tierced per pail, Dexter pail sabre eagle on a field of azure, Sinister pail Gulen rampart boar on a field of vert and base argent stag’s head on a field of sabre. The Ushil-Crachton before this an per Dexter pail sabre eagle on a field of azure, Sinister pail Gulen rampart boar on a field of vert.
