Name: The Knight of Pestilence, Godefry of house Ushil. Count of Ushil.
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Birthday: 8 January
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics:
Personality:
First a few things about the house of Ushil. Godefry’s father, Ulan, was the count of the province Ushil in the country of Agral, the capital and the castle of Count Ulan where called Ushil as well. So, it was common to say the province of Ushil, the house of Ushil, the town of Ushil or the castle of Ushil when people referenced to something that was named Ushil.
Godefry has actually two personalities. One himself and one infused into him which is the personality of Bator, his father’s hangman. He got this personality infused into himself after he stole the hangman’s axe and kept pretending that he was the hangman. But the personality of Bator transferred to the axe after he had died from the black plague. Godefry will have conversations with his axe which replies in the voice and temperament of Bator, though that happens in Godefry’s mind. However sometimes Godefry is overtaken my ‘Bator’ and speaks and acts like him, a rude peasant.
Godefry was born into the noble family of Ushil but he was build less strong, tall and less handsome as his two brothers. Rumours said that he was conceived during a witchcraft ritual involving his mother and the priest of the city. Ulan himself didn’t believed it and the rumours weren’t spoken out loud any longer, yet they didn’t disappear. His brothers bullied him with it and the townsfolk would whisper about it. Lady Ushil died suspiciously and the townsfolk think that Ulan killed her in rage after he had found out the truth yet he kept on treating Godefry as his son and still went to the church of the priest. However, he started to treat Godefry lesser and lesser over time.
He as a person liked to hunt and butcher the animals he had hunted. It was a something where he could put his anger into which was caused by the suspicion of the people. He was he didn’t joke nor did he talk when it wasn’t necessary. He admired the hangman and he had asked his father many times if he could be his hangman but Ulan dismissed that dream time on time. Godefry eventually stole the axe from the hangman and played around with it in secret, pretending to do the dirty work. This contributed to his split personality. Godefry fell in love with a girl who didn’t loved him back and then he decided to abduct her. He brought her to a hunting cabin, he had killed the owner, and kept here there. He tried to convince her to love him but nothing helped. Eventually he threatened her with the hangman’s axe, she said she rather died then life with a creep and then his split personality came to the surface for the first time. He killed her in a rage.
It had been weeks that he was away when he got back home. He found the town infested by the black plague and rushed to the castle. He himself fell ill by the plague as well but made an astonisly fast recovery in just two days after the priest had given him medicine and prayers, however his appearance changed into what he looks like now. Meanwhile the cabin had been searched by concerned friends of the hunter and found his remains and the rather freshly slaughtered girl. Everyone knew that Godefry had a crush on her and they reported it at the castle. His father knew that it was the doing of Godefry and denounced him as his son, he told the people that he was indeed a bastard. Conceived by his wife and the priest. The priest was hanged by the angry mob but Godefry was kept in the dungeon, awaiting trial. But the priest had brought the plague into the castle as well. The brothers and father of Godefry got infected as well, along a bunch of watchmen and servants. The only friend of Godefry, Gawen who is a son of a butcher in town, sneaked into the castle and freed Godefry from his cell. They both hide within the church’s tombs, here they discovered a hidden room. This room was filled with alchemy items and artefacts. Including a clay shard which took the interest from Godefry. It was in this room where he learned the magic that he utilizes, the “Shard of Pandora’s Jar: Pestilence”. They waited in tomb of the Church until the coast was clear to reappear on the surface and Godefry claimed the fief that belonged to the diseased Ulan Ushil as his only surviving heir, he didn’t believe that he was a bastard.
Godefry is done with following others or at least those that he deems lesser men. He will not accept the lead of people that are of his level or bellow and only those that are significantly higher or have shown their worthiness to Godefry. He does want to serve in the guild of Savage Skull underneath the queen and will follow her orders.
Godefry uses mainly weapons like swords, lance’s, crossbows and his precious Hangman’s Axe or sometimes called Bator. He uses his magic to aid in his fighting.
Godefry’s heraldry is a white stag head on black, which he uses now as the heraldry for the Ushil family. The Ushil had a brown willow tree on green before. Godefry created his own house words which is “Hunt for more!” or “I hunt for more!” or “We hunt for more!”.
