Enigma was born in the ancient kingdom of Girisha. Although we don't know who his parents are, rumors say that he is a descendant of Zeus, a very powerful god-wizard who lived in Girisha centuries ago. Enigma claims that when he was young, the titan Prometheus appeared before him and offered to give him incredible power, god-slayer magic. Flame god-slayer magic to be exact. He told him that Girisha's gods are slowly becoming corrupted and that he needs someone to defeat them when the time comes. Enigma accepted his offer and Prometheus put his hand onto Enigma's chest, giving him the gift of magic capable of slaying Gods. He then told him to seek out Fotia, a mortal woman who became a demi-god by learning god-slayer magic herself. She would take him in as her apprentice and train him until he was strong enough to face the corrupted gods.
Enigma found Fotia and for years, he trained with her. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to complete his training. His mentor was killed by a demi-god sent by the corrupted gods. Prometheus could not predict that someone would be able to pinpoint Electra's hideout location and was not prepared for something like this. He took Enigma and used ancient magic to teleport him to the Kingdom of Fiore. Enigma had to finish his training himself and find the way back to Girisha, in order to slay the corrupted Gods and the one who killed his master.
Shortly after arriving at the kingdom of Fiore, Enigma came across a strange Egg surrounded by hungry Vulcans. He defeated the Vulcans and took the Egg to a safe location until it hatched. Out of the egg came a cat-like creature. A male Exceed. Enigma gave him the name "Gatos", which means "male cat" in his mother language. He decided to raise him and travel the world with him.
Although not alone anymore, Enigma had to learn all about this new Kingdom. A stranger told him he should join a guild. And that's exactly what he did. The day came where he met a member of Sabertooth and had a mock battle with him. The Sabertooth member acknowledged Enigma's skills and invited him and his partner to join Sabertooth. Enigma accepted, and ever since then, he has made many allies that have helped him not only learn the strange language of their country, but also trained with him to help him improve his combat skills, and taught him all about the kingdom of Fiore.
Now, Enigma has decided that it's time to start his own journey, in order to help those in need and fight new foes in order to get stronger, hoping that one day he can return to Girisha and fulfill his destiny.
Enigma appears to be quite mysterious but in reality, he's just very quite and sleepy all the time. However, when he is with friends, he never stops talking and tries to be the center of attention. He helps those in need and always tries to make others laugh.
He is always happy to meet new people and make friends. Although he loves being surrounded by friends and allies, he prefers going on jobs alone, so that he learns not to depend on others all the time. Despite that, he will occasionally join a party, because working with others and learning how to fight alongside them is in his opinion very important for a mage's success.
He loves taking his time with quests, meeting new people, thoroughly exploring every previously unknown area, searching for hidden loot and, most importantly, sleep in the most random of places.
He does not like being a leader because he feels like it's too much of a responsibility, but if he has to, he tries his best to make sure his followers are always in a good mood and he is ready to lead them to a successful quest/objective completion.
Enigma loves fighting. He never says no to a fight, even if his opponent seems a lot stronger than him. He thinks that every battle, won or lost, teaches him something, and he becomes a more experienced wizard. He also never declines an invite to a rematch, he feels like it's a good way to see how far he and his opponent have come since their last fight.
When not in a job, he likes eating and drinking with friends, or taking small naps wherever he feels comfy. He also meditates and follows a very strict body training program that he has created himself, in order to get over his weaknesses.
After being introduced to firearms by a fellow guild-mate, Enigma has being trying to combine his god-slayer magic and guns. He has two customized revolvers, which were specifically made for him so he can use his god-slayer flames to shoot them quickly and with ease. One of the weaknesses of Dragon & God-slayers is that they are almost useless at long range battles. With the addition of these two firearms to his armory, Enigma is able to fight at long range with no problem.
- Enigma loves nature. He really likes exploring and sightseeing.
- Likes taking short naps. Sometimes he doesn't even sleep, he just "rests" his eyes while thinking about what kind of quest he wants to go on next.
- Training. Physical training, mental training, really, all kinds of training. He loves improving himself and getting stronger.
- Losing. He hates losing in any kind of battle, but he's always trying to learn from his mistakes and improve.
- Winter. He comes from a far-away kingdom where it's almost always hot, so it has been hard for him to go on jobs at winter, or do any kind of activity that happens outside. He does however like the snow and takes his time building huge snowmen with his guild-mates.
- Loud places. The only loud place he can tolerate is his Guild Hall. Except that, he hates any and all loud places and tries to avoid them if possible. It makes him lose focus and enrages him.
- Becoming an S-Class wizard. Although not his life goal, it's a nice side-goal he has that makes him always give his best in every situation.
- Good weather. When it's sunny and warm outside, Enigma feels very motivated to go on quests. On very warm days, he sometimes ends up doing a lot more work than usual.
- His Life goal is to perfect his God-Slayer magic and eventually travel back to Girisha, in order to kill the corrupted gods and the demi-god who killed his mentor.
- The thing he fears most is losing a dear friend. He already knows how it is to lose someone dear and he doesn't want to feel that way ever again.
- Cats. Enigma fears no beast...but cats? That's a no from him. Which is funny, considering his partner being a cat with wings. His excuse? "He's not a cat, he's an Exceed!".
- Dying. Enigma is absolutely terrified of dying. Death is not the part he is worried about. It's being unable to say goodbye to his loved ones, missing out on all the things he wanted to do but couldn't, and knowing that he won't ever get to go on an adventure again. But that's also why he lives every day like it's his last and always fights at (almost) his 100%.
