Sin was most likely the only country on this planet which he never traveled to. It was a treacherous and desolate place not for the faint of heart. In fact, even higher-ranked mages hesitated to come to this place and Hero did not blame them. Not many people could say they came to this place and returned with everything intact. During the day, little light was filtered through dense fog caused by deep fissures throughout the expanse of land and although the temperature was tolerable, it was quite humid consistently throughout the day. At night, one could not even see a hand in front of their face unless they used magic or were otherwise near a fissure where natural light was produced. Nobody dared to traverse Sin alone in the dark unless they were at least S-rank or higher thanks mostly due to the ancient monstrosities that lurked in shadows or slept out of boredom.
Knowing all of this, the giant still came on foot with the intention of staying for a bit. Why? That was because an entity within him told him it was time to do so. Hero still did not know who exactly this entity was, though at least now he knew what it was. It was a clear and solemn male voice; there was a great emptiness within. Not the kind of empty that was tangible though. The voice spoke then, smooth yet laced with deep pressure.
'Hmm, you're actually interested in me now after all this time? I guess it's close to time then.'
'Time? What do you mean?'
'I suppose I can humor you, since you're interested. I once had a name... Argus. A God of demons and monsters but long ago I was sealed away after my love was murdered by one of your Gods of War. Then I was beaten to an inch of my existence and sealed away for thousands of years. You might be wondering to yourself many things now. Such as how a demon could fall in love, or the reason why I made that deal with you back then. You humans have always inherently believed that demons are evil simply because our race is that of something otherworldly. Human naivety is the true reason we have killed ruthlessly for centuries. Deep down... perhaps I do seek revenge against those Gods, but that desire passed a long time ago. What's left of me now is simply a need to show you, Hero, that we monsters do not all kill for pleasure. What will happen today... is something that must happen.'
Titan was at a loss for words. He could never have expected first of all to have a conversation with this entity and secondly to have understood where he was coming from. But... what could Hero do? He was but a single person amidst millions of species of beings who had their own individual opinions. Was there any conceivable way Yamamoto could at least curb those sorts of ideals? Of so many people?
Meanwhile, deep within the land of Sin, there were stirrings of frighteningly powerful monsters waking from their long slumbers. Something was calling out to them, that the day had come to make some noise across Earthland. Some traveled in packs and others moved on their own but one thing was clear: they all were answering that call and headed in the direction of that beacon. With such threats looming in the distance, Hero stood deep in conversation and thought with that entity known as Argus completely unaware that Sin itself seemingly started to move.
