Today she was coming back to this place, despite telling herself she never would step foot in it again. Rose Garden. It was a cozy town, full of life and ways to empty your wallet if not careful enough. To most, all it was, was a shopping district, full of fun and joy for all. But for Astrid? This town was nothing but a living nightmare of past mistakes. It was no nightmare she could shake herself out of, nor one anyone could wake her up from. These cobble stone streets were soaked in the bloodshed she had caused that day. Even if the blood stains were no longer visible the memory of what she did was still there deep within. Of course, it wasn't just the streets that remembered her wrath. The people too had suffered. Innocent people. People who did not deserve what had happened to them. Even now as the elf traversed through the streets, her lavender cloak draped across her frame she could still feel their eyes, watching her, glaring at her. Of course, it was impossible. This lovely cloak was made of magical cloth from Seven, an elven cloak given to her by her father once her fame started to increase and more people recognized her. It was a cloak designed not to make her invisible, but to direct other's attention away from her. No one in this town could care less out this cloaked figure right now. But yet even knowing this, the slayer couldn't help but feel her guilt take over and eat away at her mind.
Her one crimson eye nervously kept forward in front of her, weaving in and out of groups of people on the sidewalk, making sure not to bump into a single person. If she bumped into someone, the magic would ware off, allowing everyone to see she was here. What was worse? This was the same exact cloak she had worn on the day of destroying the Black Rose guild hall... So any chance she had at stealth would be taken away from her. Little to say, she didn't want that happening.
For a little bit of reassurance the elf girl grabbed the fringe of the hood, pulling it down over the inky shadow that would be her face under the cloak's spell.
So what was she doing here, one might ask. Why was she in a town she swore to never go back to? Tell, call her a bit of a hypocrite, but she was actually here to see the guild master. The two's relationship was a bit... Wonky at best. You know, with the whole real mother thing, and then smashing her guild hall into pieces... Little to say they didn't have the best connection. But after the guild war, after she caused so much trouble for the tanuki... She couldn't help but feel like the responsible party in this one. It was her own anger that caused Black Rose's guild hall to become destroyed, all for no good reason, seeing as how Savage Skull was the real culprit for her grandfather's death. And while Izayuki had always been a bit awkward about their connection, even Astrid knew she hadn't deserved to be punched the way she did, for her home to be ripped apart. So, she was going to make it up to her somehow. She was going to finally bring peace between them, after so long. How she was going to do this? Well, the silvernette didn't really know. But as she wandered the crowded streets, searching for any sign of the silver canine, she knew she would try to do anything to finally put their little feud to rest.
After so much fighting, a little peace would be nice for a change.
