Job Title: The Shrouded Stalker

Player Requirements: 500 Word Requirement. Must have completed The Unusual Weed first.
Job Requirements: Return to the Herbalist and hear what she has to say, as well as deal with the stalker.

Job Location: Beanstalk Village
Job Description: You have received a letter from the Herbalist, stating that she needs you to come immediately as she has done some research, and needs a wizard’s opinion on the matter. On the way to Beanstalk village you may or may not notice a figure cloaked in black, following you in the shadows. If you choose to assault him he will flee. If you catch up to him, he will defend himself. If you leave him be he will continue to follow you unseen. Along the way, you also notice one or two of those weeds you helped the herbalist collect not too long ago.

Once you reach the village the herbalist leads you into her home and begins to explain the plant. She tells you that it grows it's roots through literally anything, breaking down the physical material in order to spread. Once it has spread a good deal, it's roots sprout to the surface and begin to form into a new plant. While she explains this, the stalker will be listening through the walls. You must either kill, or arrest the stalker before this job can be completed. In the end, she decides to send this information to a friend of hers who is a scientist and a wizard, in order to get more information.

After killing or arresting him, you can check him for anything he has on him. If you do, you will discover a used match, and a silver coin with a skull on one side, and a hand on the other. Upon hearing about the stalker and your killing him, Herbalist will give you the jewel

Enemies:
Weak: The cloaked stalker carries no weapon and attempts to take you down with hand to hand combat. With each successful hit, he deals up to half your rank in damage. It takes three rank D hits to kill him.


Normal: The cloaked stalker wields a deadly dagger and appears to be proficiently skilled with the weapon, dealing up to your rank in damage. To kill him requires five rank D hits to kill him. Note that he is rather agile and evasive.


Strong: The cloaked stalker wields a black rapier designed to kill and is very fast, agile, evasive and precise with his blows. He can deal up to x2 of your rank in damage with each strike. It takes seven rank D attacks to kill him, if you can land a hit on him at all that is.


Reward: 1,000 Jewel

'Monster Dice' :

Ezekiel left the guild hall, he was headed to the Beanstalk Village. He had seen another job on the board and decided he would take this one as well due to the fact that he had prior knowledge on these weeds and because the pay was great for the level he was, 1000 for talking to a herbalist, easy. The forest was eerier than what he remembered from last time he was here, not to long ago. As he walked along, he heard a snap of a small branch or twig on the edge of the road behind him, which alerted him to the shadowy stalker in the dark. Ezekiel continued walking for while longer before running towards the stalker. The stalker, seeing the one he was stalking charging straight for him, turned and ran deeper into the woods. Ezekiel continued his chase, catching the man. When the man knew he was caught he turned and threw a punch at Ezekiel, who barely dodged the attack. Ezekiel pulled out his flute and lept backwards away from the stalker. The stalker ran at Ezekiel, and as he did Ezekiel brought the flute to his lips and played a quiet low note. When the shadowy man was about half way to Ezekiel he stopped in his tracks. Ezekiel's spell had taken hold, the man's mind was infiltrated by the magic causing him to see the world fade from his vision, filled by an inky black cloud of darkness. Dim light surrounded the man, enough that he had a few inches of light in the otherwise pitch black cloud. As soon as he felt safe the cloud began to swirl and shift into horrifying monsters and demonic faces, reaching out towards him, biting and clawing at him just to be washed away by the dim lighting. Then the light disappeared and the shadows covered him, causing the man to scream in terror as he thought he had been killed by the shadows. While this was happening Ezekiel had shifted into the form of a demon, red skin, claws, wings, and a spaded tail. When he opened his eyes he was back exactly where he had been standing, he turned to Ezekiel to see a demon had taken his place. “AHHHHH!!! WHY! What have I done to be hounded by demons and witchcraft!?!!” the man shouted as Ezekiel lunged towards him, grabbing his collar and beating the snot out of his sniveling terrified body. When the man was dead, beaten to a pulp, Ezekiel searched his body and returned to the road pocketing a silver coin from the man, and after a short walk from the fight zone, arrived at the herbalist's house.

Ezekiel knocked on the door, and the herbalist opened it. She guided him to a sitting area and grabbed a  book from a shelf in the room. She then went to great lengths explaining everything she learned about the weeds, which Ezekiel listened to halfheartedly. “… and that's why contact with them causes injuries. I plan on visiting a friend to get her help with my research, here is your payment.” “Thanks. I have a question for you, do you know anything about this coin?” Ezekiel asked handing her the silver coin from the stalker. “Nope, now if you don't mind I'll be on my way.” The herbalist said showing Ezekiel the door. Ezekiel walked back to the guild hall, pockets a lot fuller.
