Hargeon Town was a sight to behold for Asteris. His innate flight granted him the ability to literally look down on the shattered town. He gave a low displeased growl as he surveyed the broken port town with a bird's eye view. He had no idea what Hargeon looked like before but what was presented to him was a mess caused by an inferior creature, a sea serpent of sorts. He was honestly disappointed that the creatures that were here did a terrible job of preventing damage and felt that if he had been here instead of sleeping then he would have been able to do a much better job. Still nothing would happen with his disappointed grumbling, it wasn't like he could turn back time to change the outcome of things.

He lazily circled around the skies of Hargeon, slowly descending into the water. He was here for a job, and taking a job poster from one of those job bulletins was a difficult affair for him. Why couldn't they have larger boards with larger printouts? He had to swoop in and pick the entire thing up to carry back into a nearby mountain. There he managed to comfortably reach out and pick a job from the board before returning the board to where he took it from by dropping it from the heavens above.

As he neared the water he took the job poster out of his pocket scales and gave it a quick read once more. A human by the name of Captain Kooh needs help with transporting his cargo. He snorted it amusement as he dove into the water, causing a massive splash. Humans and their ships. He had forgotten that very few humans had taken to the skies, choosing or sometimes having no choice at all but to travel and transport over land and sea.

"Ah... how sad it must be for some to never be able to reach the heavens as we do." Asteris said mostly to himself the moment he surfaced from the water. He discarded the now wet job poster into the waters behind him and began to search. "A man with a ship, surely a man with a ship is in one of those ports...and I think I spot one." There was an old muscular sailor moving boxes from the port to what he assumed to be his ship. Asteris began to wade through the water as quickly as he could to reach the man that he assumed to be Captain Kooh.

"Human!" He announced the moment he got close enough. The man turned around and fell over. "Human! Are you the man known as Captain Kooh?" His voice boomed as he waved closer to the pier. The man, who looked like he was about to run, slowly nodded his head.

"Y-yeah I'm Captain Kooh. Whaddaya want?" Captain Kooh asked, trying to sound brave. Asteris gave him a toothy grin and he whimpered.

"Ah wonderful, then I came to the right place. I am here to help you with your boxes." Kooh blinked in surprise before giving Asteris a weary stare.

    "What?"

"Ah you humans and your declining thinking power that comes with age. I am here to help you," He brought out on terrifyingly sharp talon and pointed at the trembling Captain Kooh. "Move those," The talon moved and pointed at the stack of boxes near the ship. "Into that." The talon moved a second time to point at the ship. "Is that clear enough?"

"I...think so?" Captain Kooh meekly answered, still unsure of how to feel about managing to employ a dragon to move his cargo.

Asteris hummed to himself as he eyed the ship and the boxes. "Human get on the ship." He stated as he picked up a box.

Captain Kooh looked like he was about to say something, took a look at Asteris picking up a box with his large dragon arm and placing on his ship, and clicked his mouth shut before marching into his ship. He needed a drink. There was no way that he was going to stay sober while a dragon was helping him move his stuff. "I think I got some whiskey left in the cabin somewhere..."

Asteris continued to pick up and put down boxes while the captain disappeared into his ship. Moving the boxes took almost no effort for his strong arms and large stature. In very little time all the boxes were aboard the ship.

"That was quick." Captain Kooh muttered, holding a bottle of liquid in his hand. "Normally I'd let the people who help me on this ship." He eyed Asteris. "But I'm you can see why I'm not letting you on the ship."

"Human I have no need for your transportation service. I will wade this river alongside you."

And wade he did. He stayed behind the ship, slowly moving and splashing through the river. Sometimes he would pause and let the ship get more distance before he moved. Sometimes he would pause and reach down into the river bed to pick up something, most of the time it was trash and it was quickly tossed to the side. Those that weren't trash, such as shiny coins and trinkets, were tucked away in his pocket scales. Sometimes he would stop because because a fish had swam up to him and he would pick it up and throw it on to the ship.

Soon River Village came into view, marking the end of voyage. Asteris moved beside the ship and began to move the boxes once more, one at a time with his large arm. Some of the village people even came and watched him move boxes until the last one touched the port.

"And with that my job here is done." Asteris announced, putting the arm he had bee n using to move boxes into the water. "Unless there's something else human?"

"No, that's it. Thanks for the quick work." Captain Kooh pulled out a couple of jewels a held it out towards the dragon. "Here you go."

Asteris pocketed the reward money into his pocket scales and took flight.
