Elfin ears twitched, listening to everything including the mutterings of someone she did not know, one of the newer entries to the room, but since she knew little and had not much interest in his words she ignored most of anything that went into her hypersensitive ears.
"Eh who can claim to be alright, you have to be at least a little bit nuts to be a mage for a living." of which it appeared everyone in the room was in some sort of way, everyone had the magical energy for the most part with a few exceptions.
"Ard is something of a fiery powerhouse." Luckily since she had been in battle with Ard before the male likely knew not to start showing off fire spells to display this fact. Even with so much danger back in that village? Seeing his flames had made her pass out for at least a little bit, and the fear from those moments clouded most of her memory of the event.
"Well Hello, Ruvel, I'm Jiyu." and she had no idea why she had come to this again, with the tickle torture the wind had slowly started to slice away some of the fabric of her white sundress, though not a noticeable amount yet. Considering the wind's actions on her clothing? Kazehime considered the possibility she may have to leave the party early or risk being rendered nude during it. The female's gaze fell when she slightly heard leila's verbal comment about the liquor stench, and the eden mage wasn't wrong. Once the scent of alcohol took over someone enough? Jiyu just couldn't do it anymore, it reminded her too much of the past she had run away from. At times the female would mentally fight through her distaste, but Leila was seemingly doing it to drive her off if one person knew the extent of her fear it was clearly the other female. Though everything else she overheard? Confused her, as she had no recollection of the person being mentioned.
"I certainly appreciate it being peaceful this time, I always seem to find trouble but it's not like I enjoy it.... " she trailed off, recalling all the times she ended up rushing into something anyone else could have guessed would be trouble in mere moments.
"that much." hey, she couldn't help how rash she was! It was simply entertaining near trouble!
"Oh yeah, Cirven, is he going to show up tonight? It's been a bit since I've seen him." the last time he saw her they had actually found out they were something of cousins, oh and he saved her life, not that she was always a damsel in distress anymore. That day? Had been something of an expectation.
Dancing, that made her sweat a bit more than the tickle torture. Unless she managed to get another girl every time? She would be unable to partake and her fear of men would become obvious when she flipped out upon their attempt to take her hand to dance with her!
"is dancing really required?" it was a weird statement, considering her magic sometimes even could seem like dancing, but she didn't know what else to do.
"Oh I'm a canine demon." she lied easily to Sol, show casing her fluffy tail, because she lied about it easily to everyone by now, the only two currently in the room who knew she was an Inugami were Leila and Izayuki, Kazehime liked it that way, considering she didn't quite understand her goddess position herself yet.
"IRINA STOP MAKING US SOUND LIKE ALCOHOLICS! geez shouting about where the booze is could just ask me I can smell where. It's the third one to the right, in the middle there." while she hated the liquid she did used to bartend, so enabling was one thing she managed sometimes, and a sense of smell like hers was super helpful for finding something like what her guildmate was searching for. Of course, she also had to give the red-haired girl a hard time about shouting in the ballroom.
The wind user became distracted, her vision catching a slight flickering in the middle of the stage. So far? She had managed to fight to stay here, to stay awake and engaged in spite of the flames burning around the room, if the ballroom had been any smaller she would have been incapable, it was another reason she avoided formal events. The existence fire? Was the bane of her own existence, ever since the element had been used to torture her for three years straight. Kazehime tended to do her best to avoid any flames that could potentially cause her to react badly, which was most of them, making the world a fairly hostile place for her. This new forming ball of flickering flame certainly became a concern as it grew and far suppressed her ability to deal with flame in the same room as her.
Around the same time, everyone else would clearly be able to notice the fireball? Her body would be trembling, dull aches spreading outward from where she had once carried scars from her torment before her ascent to her canid state. Luckily everyone was likely too focused on the jack-o-lantern that appeared to realize she had passed out from the knowledge of the flame ball. A few feet away from the main crowd? She was for once not in the air floating above everyone but instead, her back was pressed 'against' the wall and her body was slumped, eyes shut as if she was sleeping. If someone was to pester her, they would gain no response, heck it looked as if she was standing on the ground, having been unable to sit or lay before she lost to her fear, she would have been on the floor if not for the support of the wall.
Jiyu would wake, this one wasn't too bad, but the fact she was now trapped unable to teleport away if she wanted, could be a bit more of a trying thing once that part caught up to her.
