    Notes:

After escaping the blaze of the old temple with the unconscious Ruvel and his now tutor an ally Cirven the wind elemental priestess turned sitting to watch as the old guild building started to fall in on itself "You're past is gone Cirven, there's no real way for it coming back or being found and used against you or any other as a weapon" she knew that her words would bring little comfort to the lightning demon given what he had just done but at the same time she would hope that it would bring him even a little "As much as it was painful to kill him, you done what was best for everyone... especially him." she whispered her eyes moving down to the sleeping Ruvel her fingers going through his raven and streaked hair. "If he ever went through something like that, I would expect you to give him peace also Cirven, do you understand?" her words where soft yet sad, she knew the future was like her element in it's uncertainty and wanted everything covered for if such a horrible act ever happened in the future to the boy she thought of as her own child. It was clear to even the blind that Ruvel was a gentle soul even with everything he had went through and that was unlikely to ever change given his weaknesses combined with his past.

After a few moments she checked his eyes and bit the inside of her cheek before looking up at Cirven with a worried look. "It can't wait, he needs to go home... he needs medicine, if he doesn't get it soon and continues using his magic it's going to kill him" she said her tone showing she wasn't joking about it, her eyes lowered to Ruvel once more "Forgive us Ruvel, we know you will hate us all for this and we can live with that hatred until you're willing to forgive but you put in a clause we had to do what was in your best interest even if it went against your will, this is one of these cases" she whispered kissing his cheek lightly before standing pulling on Ruvel's magic to be able to do what she was about to do. "You will learn more about him with where we are going like we have learned more about you here, handle him with kit gloves Cirven or I swear I will draw the air right out of your lungs" she said her normal warm tone as turbulent as the worst storm as she began opening a portal to her home only to bring out what looked like plain white ragged clothing with a code on the left arm. Kneeling next to Ruvel she proceeded to change him out of his clothing as she did on his left arm what seemed like a simple metal armlet with eight gems could be seen, but the indentation it had made on the arm it was clear it had been there for quite some time, she was quick on changing his clothing back into the clothing he wore before his escape she couldn't help but shake with tears falling from her now cloudy grey eyes "Be safe my sweet child" it was almost like she knew something she wasn't letting on.

Standing it was now she used the magic she had drawn from the sleeping youth "I ssannnnhan thi nnh tshh gairrtiin flinness shaf rredirrtsh" She called out looking up at the sky, moving to pick up Ruvel as she soon heard a sonic boom followed by a screech before a large phoenix standing 16 feet tall with a wingspan of 23 feet and seemingly with golden feathers landed near by "Hello Bennu" she said moving over to stroke his head lovingly much like she knew Ruvel did her gaze going to Cirven "Cirven, this is Bennu and he will be our mode of transport to Crescent Island at this time, Bennu, this is Cirven the one we spoke to you about he is the one helping Ruvel so play nice." she scolded like only a mother could making the large phoenix flap his wings chirping "Bennu has only recently started leaving his nest so is still quite young" she said as Bennu lowered one of his wings allowing them all to get on his back, it would be now that Cirven would be able to see that each golden feather was an individual flame. "Ruvel should have enough energy to wake by the time we land, I would suggest getting some rest if you need it Cirven, this isn't going to be overly easy." she warned holding Ruvel close to herself awaiting Cirven to join them, as soon as he did Bennu would instantly head for the destination.

Cirven stood staring at the building they had just left in ruins the facility where he was forced to spend his life. It was not just the facility they were leaving in shambles but the memories that he had of being there. One particular memory was flashing before his eyes as he looked at the rubble.

    ----------------Years before---------------

"Cirven! Come at me with everything you have!" A voice yelled out while the blue haired and blue-eyed young man stared up at the ceiling above him. A rapier was stabbed into the ground near him where he barely dodged it. "Korvin! Can you not do that? This is the one time I get to rest, you know!?" Cirven yelled out as he jumped up to his feet and got into the face of a blonde haired woman with brown eyes who wore the uniform of Cor Torva just like Cirven was at this time. "Calm on, pointy! We are all in this shithole together and being tasked to do things that we don't want so we might as well find a way to have fun." Korvin simply smiled into the face of Cirven and then moved around him to grab her rapier. Cirven let out an angered filled sigh. "I don't even know why you talk to me like this. I am the son of the owner of Cor Torva. Everyone else hates me and I'd rather it be that way with what I have to do.." Korvin pulled her rapier out of the ground and cut it through the air a few times. "We all have burdens here but that doesn't mean we can't be friends. Also, you might be her son but you are here with us so you as much of an experiment as we are here." Cirven scoffed. "Either way, I want to spare with you." Korvin stabbed his rapier through the air towards Cirven, who reluctantly dodged the attacks and found his way closer to Korvin where his fist made contact with her breast causing her to stumble backwards from the attack. "Oi!! Cirven! That is unfair to hit there!" Cirven sighed. "We are fighting and there is no rules in a fight. It is life and death." Cirven then spoke under his breathe. "And it wasn't like I aimed for it or something..."

Korvin's ears perked up from what he had said and she smiled. "You are trying to tell me that you are some sort of pervert?" Cirven's face became red from her comment. "I'm not a pervert! We were fighting! Get those dumb ideas out of your head!" He yelled out at her only to receive a laugh back from her.

Time went on with Cirven going on his 'missions' for his mother while being forced to return to the facility after in order to keep his sister alive and well. This forced him to continue to have multiple more experiences with Korvin who became his only friend in the facility that he trained with. Both gained much from their sparring sessions and even though the man wouldn't say it he had become fond of Korvin more so than just a friend. This all was forced to end when he came back one day to find Korvin missing from their usual spot. He looked for her throughout the next day because he thought the day before she was just busy. He would later find that she was placed into a capsule by the scientists of Cor Torva to be 'enhanced'.

    ---------------Present Time---------------

Cirven had come back to his senses and started to listen to Edaenz who explained that they needed to save Ruvel and get him home. Cirven knew if his home was anything like the one of his past that they had just left then it would put a major burden on the younger man. A burden that Cirven knew all too well from his past where he was forced into service under Cor Torva. "Edaenz." Cirven raised his hand up towards the sky and sent a black bolt of electricity into the sky before he continued to speak. "As long as we are able to get away from this place, I don't care much, right now." A massive black lightning bolt came tearing down from the clouds above and continued to help destroy the building they were just in. The damage caused the building to collapse in on itself. He did not look too impressed during the reveal of the majestic bird, Bennu and only took his place on top of it while he waited for them to leave. He needed to rid your mind of the memories of Korvin, the love he had lost and the lack of control he had over it.

Edaenz looked to Cirven and nodded to his request "You heard him Bennu, lets get away from the nightmare that plagues his mind" her voice was almost like a wisp on the air, holding onto Ruvel tightly her eyes looking concerned, "I give you the blessings of the wind sweet one..." her voice quiet but being a god slayer Cirven would be able to hear it as if she was talking normally as well as the tremble of fear within her otherwise gentle voice. In truth she knew that Ruvel had barely survived the last time, she didn't know if she had it within him to survive for a second time within that place. Her creation green eyes moved to the elder male with saddened and worry filled eyes "Please I beg of you, promise me he will survive this" she fought back tears and tried to hide her fear but she just couldn't her eyes going to Bennu as he screeched "I guess you're right... you're as wise as your mother." she said stroking at his head "He said he isn't alone this time." where she knew this was true there was still Ruvel's mental and physical states that couldn't be planned.

"How close was your life to his Cirven?" she eventually asked, she wouldn't push if Cirven didn't speak of it, it wasn't her place after all but if was with this information they could possibly help him find the cracks of Ruvel's emotional mask and armour. They wanted the two to bond, she had wished it was over something better than their horrid homes and similar hellish upbringing but she knew they had to work with what they had. She had no real ideas of the horrors that elder male had been through she just recognised the signs from his tone and body language and made the logical conclusion that it was far from sugar and spice. She was silent for most of the flight just holding her young summoner to her "Hurry Bennu he's got a fever" with that she looked to Cirven "He won't let us fall but if you feel you must hold on or magnetise yourself to him if you feel at ill ease" she said warmly, it was at that moment a sonic boom happened with a screech as Bennu's pace began to quicken.

Before to long Crescent island would easily be seen and Ruvel whom had been still and silent started to move a little 'Tell him Edaenz' Barthenz demanded 'Not til we land, he may not allow him to enter' she explained 'He's going to be at their mercy again, I don't like it.' Aelona stated 'We all agreed that this was needed even if he hated us for it' Edaenz sent sadly to the others 'I can remain with him, but using my energy I will be unable to use my abilities... I may even be able to help his tutor also' Shindara offered making Edaenz nod 'That might be best thing but keep us in the loop Shindara' Seiyuki finally spoke through the link as the short discussion came to an end Bennu landed lowering a wing allowing everyone to get off, once they were Bennu nipped at Ruvel's hair and somewhat coo'd a little "Remember the sickness we told you of, he has it at current" she informed him stroking his head "You best return to your mother she'd likely worried sick" she said watching as Bennu took off with a sonic boom.

"For your cover you are a hunter, you found the escapee and wanted to return him.." she stated knowing this unfortunately would separate them for a while "Also..." she took a pause while she tried to balance her thoughts, she hated this part the most "While inside there, his magic won't work..." she sighed bringing up his left tattered trouser leg showing a set of runes that now dully glowed an ice blue. "Shindara will use his own energy and be with him the whole time, but he will not be able to use his abilities to do so would deplete his energy, with your permission he will be able to make a temporary link with you. Those of his realm speak with telepathy as far as I have come to understand, all it will take is for him to touch your shadow" she said allowing him to make a decision on such a matter. "I will take my leave for now, I am tired and have prayers to lead at home, both of you best come out of there safe." she said fading to the wind not long afterwards Ruvel's eyes opened the glow in his eyes flaring like small suns 'Take care when sitting up our summoner' Shindara said as Ruvel's shadow seemed to take on a life of it's own helping him to sit up slowly.

Ruvel blinked a few times rubbing his eyes the glow still apparent even with his eyes closed "Shindara, where are we?" he asked still not realising as he was waking up still, for now Shindara remained quiet not really wanting to say given he knew the aftermath. "Shindara?" he said knowing that if he helped him sit then he was there and could hear his voice so had no reason to remain quiet 'Summoner, forgive us for our actions...' he sent to his young summoner, on hearing those words Ruvel froze knowing it could only mean one thing, he started shaking as his hands moved down and he seen the magical barbed fence like defence his home used. "N.. no..." his voice shook in terror as he started to scoot back using his hands and legs even then he fumbled "No... no... no... no..." his eyes going to Cirven not understanding why he would be taken here, he felt betrayed which would be seen in his fear filled eyes he tried to understand what he done so wrong that the elder male would bring him back here "I.. I.. I.. I'm s-sorry... I.. I.. I b-be good... I.. I'll d-do a-as I-I'm told." it was clear he was frightened more so from the tears that fell "Ple... please d-don't take m-me back" he tried to steady his voice he just couldn't he heard what happened to those who tried to run away, but he managed it so only imagined his own punishment that awaited.

The trip on top of the winged creature was not as long as the devil thought it would be which could most likely be because of his thoughts racing over his past and who he had lost. The Cor Torva Headquarters was not the best place for those who were there but that did not mean they could not find a way to make friends through the turmoil they experienced each day. Cirven could remember more times with Korvin where the two of them were alone and just being themselves even though their world around them was completely controlled by Cor Torva and no longer was in there hands. There were times where Cirven would come back from his assignments where he was forced to change his personality completely in order to accomplish them, to meet with Korvin who brought him back to being himself. She was the huge reason the younger devil did not become overwhelmed by the personality he was forced to develop. Her words from when he saw her for the last saw her and spoke to her echoed in his mind. Her face flashed before his eyes and for a short time he felt like he was next to her again in the training area after hours when no one else was there.

    ----------------The Past---------------

Korvin sat next to him with both their backs onto a wall in the large room. The training area was their place to meet when he got back from his assignments and just for them to meet up in general. Korvin knew that he needed to have someone near him after each of the assignments he was sent on because he had such a blank and lost stare in his eyes when he came back from them just like he was now where he was staring at the floor. She knew what he was doing but she also knew why he was being forced to do them. She took in a breath of air and spoke out. "Cirven, you are who you are and no one or thing can change that. You might be some sort of failed experiment brought back and being used by Salindra but that doesn't change anything because you will always be yourself." Her last words caused Cirven to turn his head to her confused where he saw her blushing. "You.. Care about.. Me..?" She didn't waste a second and nodded to him with the warmest smile that Cirven could remember seeing on someone's face. "But, I have killed all of these people in order to keep her alive. How can I be cared by anyone? How can I be sure that I don't fall into being some sort of monster for Cor Torva to use however they see fit? How can you love someone who's hands are covered in blood like mine?" He replied to her as he looked at his hands. In his eyes all he could see was the blood of those he had killed on them.

"You didn't listen well at all to what I just said." She grabbed his hands and put them into her own. "You are you and that is all that matters. You will find a way to stay yourself. If you need more of a reason to stay you then do it for me, okay?" Cirven stared at her hands while they were placed around his own. "I..I.." Korvin used her grip on his hands and pulled him towards her causing the two to embrace and she kissed him. The entire action threw Cirven off and caught him off guard. He didn't know the girl's feelings for him at all until this moment and before he could ask her about it the kiss was over and she held him. "Just shut up and let me enjoy this, you idiot. It should be obvious how I feel about you." Cirven tried to talk again but the girl dug her head into his chest with her arms wrapped around him. He decided not to talk back to her and instead embraced her back for as long as the they could. It was a moment that time seemed to stop but it still felt like it was not long enough for the two of them as Korvin stood up with tears in her eyes. "Promise me you will stay you, Cirven! Promise me!" He looked at her for a short time before standing up with her and wrapping his arms around her. "Yeah, I will." They continued to embrace for a time until they both knew they had to go. They gave each other a look that promised that they would see each other again in some way. The next day was when Cirven found her inside of the capsule for her experiment that had started. It was the same day that he would be forced to kill his sister after betraying and order and then later escaping from Cor Torva.

    ----------------The Present---------------

Edaenz's question came just as the devil stopped thinking of his past. "I don't really want to compare sorrows. It isn't some sort of race or anything." He didn't want to get into his past anymore than he had already with them all being at that building together. All it brought to him were scars of the past that he could not completely hide. He hoped that the woman would leave that conversation there and allow them to continue to just travel in silence. Uncharacteristic silence.

Later they would come to the place known as Crescent Island. Cirven had only really heard of it and had not been there himself. It was an island known for being a sort of sought after resort area for those who were going on vacation from their lives. Was there something hidden under that resort island mask? Cirven knew that he would have to find out now in order to help Ruvel get better.

"A hunter who found the escapee? Sounds easy enough really. Shindara can link up with me too. I will need it to understand everything going on here but I have a good idea too. I'd rather not leave Ruvel alone so I will be camping out in his shadow during our infiltration. I can make a fake of myself that responds and acts just like I want it to." As Cirven would go through with his plan, Ruvel woke up asking questions and was thoroughly terrified about where they were. "Ruvel, I know you are scared but this is the only way we can get you to feel better from what I was told. You will need to overcome your fear of this place and be ready to deal with what will happen." The doppleganger spoke to Ruvel as Cirven was inside Ruvel's shadow. "I will be some sort of hunter who found you and is returning you to their facility for some sort of reward. This will be our best way of getting in from what I was told. I can give you a few minutes to ready yourself but we need to get moving soon. Don't worry. I will protect you while we are in there. It is my job now, after all." He shot the boy a grin.

The wind priestess didn't want to drudge up past scars that still seemed so raw on the elder male, before she left she could see it was years since all this happened to him but some things still seemed unable to close. She had truly hoped that the elder man hadn't believed she had asked the question she had so their scars could be compared, she had asked so they could help him connect to their young summoner better and avoid the landmines that made this already unsteady alliance worse. Whatever had went through the elder males head she was more than willing to not push the subject it wasn't her place to have done it regardless, her concern was Ruvel he was the one she had entered into a contract with to take care of not Cirven. The contract with him was far different and for the benefit of the one she wanted to protect no matter what. As her question went unanswered it would make it harder to navigate him especially going into a place where Ruvel wasn't scared but actually petrified of; she knew if he lost hope while within there, there would be no reason to bring him back out; he would be nothing more than a broken puppet of his 'home'.

Before Cirven had moved to be within Ruvel's shadow Shindara managed to do what was needed to create a link, not only with him but to the others so he could hear everyone first hand. 'There will be times I will speak to you separate from the others, the only one that will be able to pick up on it is my twin brother Amuul.' he sent to the other alone. 'Not even our young summoner can hear when we speak like this, some things he shouldn't hear as you can understand.' he continued taking a step back within the shadow allowing the other to enter. As Cirven entered Ruvel's shadow he would be able to see the other clearly; What stood before the other was a lithe but toned, albino male standing 6'3" tall male long white hair tied to the right, deep indigo eyes. He was wearing semi loose black and royal purple hanfu robe, a long sleeveless semi pale indigo hatori, at his back a straight sword with a carmine tassel easily seen.

He looked to the other and bowed a little 'My name is Shindara, I am the crowned prince of my people and will be your guide during this testing time for my young summoner; if you have questions please do not hesitate to ask, however, know that I may not answer depending on the question.' he sent to the other his mouth not moving. 'I wish to ask you to be careful on what you think and feel, myself and Amuul can see such things clearly. We will not comment on anything seen and will not share it without permission. I wished to be up front with you on our abilities.' he said standing straight once more now that the pleasantries and introductions where out of the place 'Brother, there was no need to tell him our abilities.' Amuul interjected 'We are to be open with him brother, it is expected of us.' he reminded the other 'Now apologise for your rudeness.' he demanded however the tone didn't change as he made the request 'I apologise teacher, I meant no offence to you. I am just wary is all about giving people information on us.' he apologised to Cirven, his tone like his brother remained with a singular tone so it would be hard for the other to distinguish any undertone from either of them.

Hearing and seeing the fear first hand Shindara moved from Ruvel's shadow and though the light was indeed causing him pain he showed nothing and he paused kneeling in front of his frightened summoner. 'I know you hate us for this, and it is the one act of betrayal we promised we would never do to you.' his tone for now he let waver, it was soft yet showed a deep shame for what he had agreed to. 'We will live with your loathing for this betrayal, we after all deserve it.' he continued, the light was taking it's toll on him but he ignored it, he could take a little pain for what was about to happen if it meant he could help his summoner. 'You know a blood moon is two days away, your sickness is flaring higher than even rest can fix due to the use of magic, double summoning and pushing yourself when you shouldn't be.' his looked directly into the others 'If you continue at the pace you are going without the medicine you will not see the end of the blood moon and we all know this.' he moved his hand to touch Ruvel on the forehead 'This is the only place that makes the medicine so we needed to come here.' he reminded Ruvel who was breathing quick and shallowly.

'We can try find the recipe so this visit will not become a more frequent thing, then your teachers home can make a laboratory somewhere that can make it for you.' he continued his eyes looking at Cirven for a moment. 'Homes like yours give markings do they not teacher.' he enquired taking Ruvel's left hand and holding it to the doppelganger 'Please give him such a marking; help me help him understand this isn't permanent... that he will leave this place.' his tone no longer held it's regal tone like his eyes it begged Cirven for help. Ruvel would be listening to everything but still shaking as his eyes darting around everywhere as he was trying to think straight so he could get out of this situation but nothing was coming to the youth he just couldn't think, tears continuously falling from his eyes because of the whole predicament he had been put in. Deep down he knew they where doing what they believed right for him but he knew he almost broke last time and because of managing to get out they would be far harsher on him now to make sure he didn't repeat the folly.

'He sleeps resting on his left side, why I wish it to be the arm that holds his soon to be new homes symbol on that side, seeing it I am hoping will give him comfort and the hope needed to be stubborn like before.' in honesty he didn't know if it would work but he could pray. When the symbol was placed he brought it up so Ruvel could see it "Y-your f-family..." he spoke for the first time and it was clear it was difficult for the prince "th-they wear t-this symbol..." he continued it was hard for him to make the sounds because it wasn't the way his people communicated but was trying to make the effort for the other "Th-this s-symbol, is home for y-you n-now our summoner" he looked to Ruvel who had stopped looking everywhere and paid soul attention to the void dweller "You spoke..." he commented quietly, Shindara nodded "And you're in a lot of pain... I'm sorry I d-" shindara moved his hand to Ruvel's mouth to cut him off "M-my decision." he whispered standing moving back into the shadow his hand going to his head as he felt more light headed than anything.

Ruvel turned to the one he perceived to be Cirven "I don't want to do this, I didn't mean to be bad." he held his knees close to him, he knew what Shindara was hard for him both being out in the light and speaking verbally but what they where wanted from him was far different. His eyes went to the new marking on his wrist as he went over in his mind what Shindara had said to him "My family and home have this mark?" he questioned once more rubbing his thumb over it gently as if deep in thought. His eyes moving to the doppelganger "There will be no protecting me... I'm as good as a puppet." he said standing walking slowly towards the entrance tears falling the glamour he kept up hiding his wounds slowly fading as he got closer golden runes, and the years of abuse easily seen on his arms, legs, hands, feet, neck and face. Shindara turned his gaze to the side seeing this but walked 'He didn't deserve what they done, and to make it worse this time I should be able to stop it but can't or we don't get the information needed.' his tone was back to being neutral disliking what he knew was going to happen.

Cirven was surprised when he arrived into Ruvel's shadow to see that the younger man had a weirdly dressed person inside of his shadow, at least he was at first. He would then remember that Ruvel had an assortment of beings that he had a contractual relationships with that all came in different varieties and with different abilities. "Yo." Cirven spoke out as if he had known the man as a friend already. He had heard another voice in his head earlier similar to how Shindara spoke to him too and was able to decipher that it was Shindara's brother who he could not see yet. "Neither of you need to call me teacher or anything like that. I am Cirven Mizune so you can just call me that or some sort of nickname. If you hadn't been able to tell I tend to throw nicknames at others. Like I think you will be Pale Prince #1 and you will be Pale Prince #2. Sound good?" He joked with the two brothers just before Shindara spoke out to Ruvel himself.

The situation only looked more and more grim by how Ruvel was acting. At first it was like a kid waking up and finding out that everything he ever had was taken from him and he was grounded and now it sounded more like the child who accepted their punishment and gave up on trying to fight at all against it. Cirven's doppleganger near Ruvel gave off a expression similar to the one Cirven was feeling inside the troubled young man's shadow; an expression of sadness. He could see himself in Ruvel a bit with how he was reacting. Truth was that if it had been a short time after everything happened with Korvin and his sister then he would have acted the same. As if he was lost completely in life and could not find a way back to how things were or a way to make them better. It took the devil some time but he was able to pick himself up from being so low to finally developing above it enough so that he could carry on. Revenge was a huge driving factor for this but he still found his own way to keep going.

"I'm sorry but I will not be giving you the symbol of my guild here. Right, now it is not my place to give it to you until I can show you that I will protect you. So until that happens, I won't make you take on the symbol at all." He spoke to Ruvel and then turned his view onto Shindara inside of the Ruvel's shadow. "I'm sorry but that makes sense, right? I want him to trust me before I make him a part of my guild. I want him to be more comfortable with what he is getting into before I pressure him into anything because I have been in his shoes before and I know you need to make your own steps that you can trust." He did not know how either of the twins would respond but he was set on his judgment for what he was going to do and was not going to budge on it.

"Either way we need to get going. Also, I think it is better if I don't look like myself with this fake anymore so..." After he spoke the doppleganger changed to look more like a rugged hunter type holding a rifle in his hands with a beard and hat on. "This will fit way better." Even his voice had changed to be much deeper and jagged sounding. "Let's get on with it then, boy." The hunter motioned for Ruvel to lead the way. The duo made their way through the island's terrain until they came upon a facility. Cirven could tell what it was simply by how Ruvel was reacting. "It will be okay." He whispered out as they approached the facility.

"HEY! Anyone in there?! I found this kid in the area and he sounded like he didn't want to come back to this place here. So I brought him back for you to help him. He looks like he really needs it after all." The hunter held his gun to Ruvel's head as he spoke showing that he was a prisoner and nothing peaceful would happen if he ran from the hunter.

Shinara blinked as Cirven spoke his name saying they didn't have to call him teacher, that his name or a nickname would be fine; this unfortunately this didn't sit well with either him or his brother neither did what the other wanted to call them. 'We are sorry teacher, but this is the way are.' Shindara said respectfully bowing a little 'We understand this may make you uncomfortable teacher so for that we are sorry.' Amuul continued calmly as much as they would like to give in to the others request it was how it they where raised and wouldn't deviate from it. 'If you must insist on giving us nicknames, please be more respectful when giving them to us.' Shindara stated once more 'Our race's culture is built on respect, tradition, duty, honour and appearances.' Amuul continued his brothers sentence, Cirven would soon find that this was a common occurrence with the two. 'Please feel free to call me Shi or Shin if you wish.' Shindara said to Cirven, for now Amuul remained quiet.

'Brother...' Shindara stated calmly to Amuul 'No..' was all that was returned 'Brother, do not make me.' Shindara continued 'Respect my wish and don't do it then.' Amuul stated, it was clear the two were having a disagreement but it was hard to know over what. A sigh would be heard as Shindara closed his eyes 'Brother, give teacher a nickname to call you.' The tone used was the same as normal but it's undertone held authority and frustration, he hated it when his brother was stubborn like this he just wanted to give him the chance to choose what he was called instead of something he may come to hate but would need to stick with. 'You may feel free to call me Amui' Amuul said but it was clear he was unhappy about it but followed his brother's instruction as duty demanded of him. 'Forgive me brother, I did not wish to.' Shindara said but got nothing in reply he knew Amuul was annoyed but it would pass.

Shindara listened to everything that Cirven said, he respected the males stance on the matter even understanding his point of view but wished for his summoners sake he would waver in his iron clad stance on this occasion. 'I understand teacher and will not push the matter further.' Shindara finally said after thinking of the best way to respond to what the other had decided 'It will be much harder for him however.' Amuul said with a small sigh 'I know brother, but we have no right to push teacher into doing something he is not comfortable with.' Shindara commented back 'Couldn't be as bad as this place brother, I'm sure he'd be willing to take any place over this place!' Amuul's voice was more heated than normal 'Amuul! You forget yourself!' it was clear Shindara was upset about something 'Penance, go to the springs til the third moon rises.' his voice was calm but held undertones of several other things, after a moment he bowed lower than when they had originally met to Cirven 'My apologies teacher for how my brother acted. He knows what is on the line and it is making him act emotionally.' once he finished speaking he stood straight, he disliked doing what he done to Amuul but they all had their roles to play.

Shindara knew he needed to speak little more on the matter as the one whom stood in front had been through similar. He was glad that it was someone who would understand what was going on with his young summoner that had taken him under his wing and not someone who would be heavy handed not realising that the crystal was far more brittle than would be normal of someone his apparent age. He disliked how things where going to happen 'Everyone remember when he passes that threshold he will no longer be able to hear us.' he reminded the other within the main link. He realised after that perhaps he should have let Cirven know that piece of information separately given he had no idea how Ruvel's magic worked, after all many just seen summoners as summoners not taking into consideration the kind of branches the magic type had. 'Sorry I should explain teacher... his link to us is dependant on his magic, that place nulls his magic which means it nulls his link to us.' he explained in a factual way. 'I remember shindara...' his tone was barely present as he spoke 'Thank you all for protecting and caring for me while we were together.' he finished it was as if he had resigned himself to the fate that was ahead expecting it to be the last time to hear them.

"Don't feel bad for not giving me the marking Cirven, it would be a waste."
he whispered, he was still crying, his body shaking out of pure emotional fear he was clawing at his wrist to the point he was drawing his glowing blood. 'No words firework? I thought you'd be getting off on this.' Barthenz said suddenly 'Why would I find this amusing you idiot? He's a little boy!' she retorted coldly 'I give him a hard time, but I wouldn't want this on an Angel!' her anger seething over 'Both of you enough, this isn't going to help him.' Aelona stepped in attempting to defuse the situation, she really wished there was another way but she knew there wasn't 'Be safe Ruvel, you'll hear us again I swear.' she said before she went silent, in truth her own tone showed hints of doubt on it and Shindara had picked up on it. Ruvel shook his head a little hearing the fake Cirven's words "No it won't..." he knew he was lucky to have escaped before but the chances of it happening again seemed non existent to the youth.

Ruvel's eyes went wide as he was held and felt the muzzle of the gun on his temple he began to shake even more, he was so scared he felt his heart pounding hard within his chest as he started to take quick and shallow breaths. He wished the older man would just shoot him and put him out of his misery; death seemed like a better than solution than what he was about to endure. A man standing 6'1" tall dressed in a light armour appeared at the gate opening it wondering all the ruckus was about, as he was about to open his mouth and ask a question his emerald eyes locked onto Ruvel a smile on his face "You found our missing child it seems." he said his voice showing he was happy. Ruvel turned his head away not wanting to lock eyes. "You've caused us a lot of trouble Rothe." he said, hearing that name made Ruvel flinch. Shindara's hand moved to the hilt of his sword the look of an emotionless killer in his eyes the moment that one sentence was said by the guard, he knew he should be calm but there was certain things the void dweller could never be calm or forgiving about.

The guard moved his hand forward grabbing Ruvel roughly by his hair pulling him past the gate and to the dirt, the guards foot instantly going to his head only adding to how Shindara wanted to kill the man. 'Before we leave here, he dies teacher.' his tone was deadly cold and showed it wasn't up for negotiation he wanted the bastard dead. "Seems you've forgotten how to greet your superiors Rothe, why not try now." he said applying more pressure making Ruvel cry out "I-I won't b-bow... n-not a-a-again..." he managed to get out between the sobs, he promised himself when he had gotten free he would bow to not another living being again and though he he knew his resolve on the matter would waver quickly in this place he would try to keep to it for as long as I could. 'His promise...' Shindara muttered though shook his head knowing that it would be short lived.

The guard grabbed the youth once more by his hair dragging him off the ground "Oh, lets see how long that will last Rothe." he said with a sinister grin "And you've cut your hair, they're not going to be happy so we better get that grown quickly." he said his eyes now going to the doppelganger "Given you brought us back our fugitive, you should be rewarded." he said stepping aside allowing it to enter "They might even offer you a job as a hunter" he said walking down the narrow way dragging the distraught and sobbing youth behind him towards a large building. Either side of them within a barbed magic field it Cirven would be able to see a city that was more like a slum within ruins. 'This is his home...' Shindara said following 'The worst place within my realm looks like paradise in comparison to this place.' he admitted, even though he had seen it within Ruvel's memories to see it first had made him want to drag Ruvel out right there and then.

Soon they would be inside a large immaculate building, the guard dragging ruvel over to a woman who glared at the youth, making him divert his gaze "You must have known that running was futile you pathetic wretch, no one would give you shelter or care for you." she said grabbing his jaw forcing him to look at her "We are your family, we shelter and protect you. Do you understand?!" she said sternly. Ruvel stood still shaking his hands going just before his face "I.. I.." he stuttered the guard hitting him at the back of his head with his armoured hand "I.. I.. I understand..." he finally stammered, keeping his hands where they where. The woman sighed "Fine, fine... come along, we have to fix you then we can deal with the punishment of you are your companion for your betrayal." she said starting walk away hearing that his eyes went wide as he pulled his hands away "P.. Please... d-don't harm her." he moved forward grabbing at the woman's arm, his voice begging her as did his eyes making the woman stop. "Oh I forgot what you where like.." she covered her mouth with the back of her hand as she chuckled "If you want this favour ask properly Rothe" she said bringing her arm back from him.

Ruvel looked at her with brightly glowing eyes, he didn't want to do it but if he didn't do it then he knew she'd get punished for something he had done. Shindara watched studying everything wondering what was going on, he knew everything about his summoner inside and out but this had never come up before. Ruvel moved closer to her before he moved to his knees his hand going to his face once more but unlike last time it didn't cover his forehead only the eyes and below, he took sharp shallow breaths as he moved forward his forehead touching the woman's shoe. He understood that it was her who made the decision and this was him showing it. She crossed her arms looking down at him almost as if he was thinking it over "Seems like the outside hasn't ruined you Rothe, very well, you can take hers too then." she said watching him, his hands moving to his mouth instantly his eyes moving to the side.

"Enough dallying however, you need to be presentable." she said turning "Please take care of the one who brought him back won't you." she said flicking her hand "Give him the guided tour and see if he wants a job." she stated walking off Ruvel standing holding one arm in his hand "Sorry Barthenz, her safety was more important that my pride as a person" he whispered walking off 'Remind me to hit that kid Shindara.' Barthenz growled 'For what? Wanting to protect the one whom he has been paired with?' he sent back 'No, for saying sorry for what he done.' he snorted 'He has limited ways to protect without us, he done what he needed to.' the warrior continued. The guard looked to the doppelganger and smiled "Well you heard management, lets get going." he said patting the others back

Eventually Ruvel would find himself in a room with a chair and several other machines within it, his eyes going over all of them trying to figure out what they where for. The woman didn't even have to say a word he instantly sat in the chair and didn't move as she locked him in. Though his eyes where glowing brightly they seemed void of life like he was merely doing what was needed to survive. the woman then started to bring tubes with needles at the end towards hims that made him panic and start to break away from the chair "Settle down or she will be punished and she'll take yours too!" the woman growled making him instantly sit still as she pierced his skin and bone making him scream out in agony as each one was placed in. "You brought it on yourself, you've got no other to blame" she said placing the last one within his right eye, liquids where being added and removed from his body. 'She's another one I want dead before we leave teacher.' Shindara said with the same tone he had when he wanted to do it to the guard. He was currently forced to watch his summoner suffer while taking no action, the one comfort he got was it wasn't long before Ruvel fainted due to the pain.

Post by Cirven 16th October 2017, 8:07 pm

The twins were surprisingly respectful to the usually improper devil, so much so that they fought against their own pride just to please his idea for giving nicknames to those he was around. They did not like the ones he gave them but they were quick to replace those names with ones of their own choosing. "Thank you both but I will call you by your own names after seeing how you both are. I guess 'teacher' isn't too bad of a nickname too so no worries there." He replied to both of the twins offers on nicknames and showed his own version of respect for them.

Everything that was said by Ruvel only supplied the devil with an even more want to help the boy more and more. The path that he was going down was a dark one and he didn't want to get out of this by himself at all. Ruvel sounded like he had accepted a dark fate of sadness and loneliness instead of trying to fight against it and carve his own destiny out of things. It really was the loudest cry for help Cirven had ever seen and he could not avoid hearing it. "This kid is an idiot for how he is taking this. He is completely throwing everything away and we haven't even made it inside yet." Cirven thought in his head for the twins to hear him. "This place must really be his own hell..."

Not much time passed after the fake hunter yelled out and threatened Ruvel with the barrel of a gun to his head before a tall man came out of the facility they stood in front of. The guard spoke to Ruvel as if he were some sort of trash that was completely below him and was worth less than a pile of trash left to rot. the guard went as far as to pull the boy to the ground and stomp on his head which caused Cirven inside of Ruvel's shadow to tremble in anger and have to stop himself from killing the man so soon. "Yeah, I doubt many of the people here are better so erasing this place's existence after we are done will only help the world more."

"Looks like this trash has caused you some issues in the past, huh? Looks like he deserves what is coming to him." The hunter smiled and placed his gun over his own shoulder as he watched the scene of the guard manhandling Ruvel while the real Cirven clutched his fist building up more and more anger. "A reward is what I am here for after all." The Hunter followed the guard as he forced Ruvel along the area into some type of slums of a city-like area. Shindara explained that it was Ruvel's home that they had arrived in. As the Hunter, Cirven looked around the area seeing many people who were injured and unhealthy in many ways. Some were escorted by guards in a similar way to how Ruvel was being forced around while others were left to do tasks or rest. The place looked like something that many would avoid completely or try to come in and fix up so that those living there had better lives but nothing like that could happen here with what was going on. It made Cirven's time in Cor Torva look better but that was only because of the area. The experiments Cor Torva did not let most of those who were put through them live very long at all. Even the devil was supposed to be killed after he was deemed a failure.

They were soon inside of a well made and much better looking building than the rest of the area. It showed that those who worked in the facility were treated much better than those who were merely test subjects. "I can get used to being in a place like this here." The Hunter spoke out as he looked around seeing multiple people who were dressed in uniforms similar to what the guard wore but some showing a sort of higher authority through how they dressed and with different symbols on their clothing. One such person was who the guard dragged Ruvel to and instantly the woman spoke out smiting Ruvel for escaping. She only attacked him in words for now but they seemed to hit Ruvel much harder as he quickly spoke out to defend his friend and even dropped to his knees in a sign of respect to the woman so that his friend would not be hurt. "Who is this friend that Ruvel wants to save and any idea where she is?" Cirven quickly asked Shindara without even thinking. The situation was similar to him with how he saw Korvin and with how his sister was held captive by Cor Torva in order to get him to work for them reliably.

"This is a pretty pathetic display but I guess I was thinking a bit too highly of the trash I brought back here." The Hunter spoke out before he was offered a tour of the area and a possible job offer as a hunter for them. "Sounds fine for me.
Getting paid to hunt trash like this one would be a breeze and would be a great job for me.
By the way my name is Wolcrain. Last names are not important, right?
" The Hunter spoke out as he was directed away with the guard. Cirven would have to make sure to keep tabs on him in the area and make sure that he did not screw up in what he said or did.

The woman took Ruvel to a room that had several machines in it and a single chair. The room reminded Cirven of the rooms where Cor Torva would conduct their worst experiments and what happened to those who weren't able to survive them. He clutched his fist tighter as the memories flooded back of the friends he had made and lost inside of that structure. Before the devil could react, Ruvel was strapped into the chair and stabbed multiple times with objects before being subjected to massive amounts of torture which quickly caused the boy to pass out. The woman continued to use the machine on Ruvel even after he had passed out too which caused Cirven to quickly ask. "Shindara, if we needed information to help Ruvel you could get it out of anyone around us, right?" As his question was asked the woman's mouth had a piece of cloth wrapped around her mouth and then her head slammed into the machine she was working with. He tied the cloth together so that it stayed on her head and blocked her mouth. Cirven's sleeve was ripped off showing that was what he had used for the cloth over her mouth and face. "Sorry but if you are torturing people then you will need to know how to take some torture yourself." Cirven pulled out two of his knives and stabbed them through the palms of the woman and into the machine she was now head first on. The cloth wrapped around her face made sure to keep her screams from being heard. Blood had shot up from her new wounds onto Cirven's hands which caused the devil to change suddenly. Cirven pulled out two more of his knives and stabbed them through the woman's feet. The woman let out another heart wrenching scream as more knives were tabbed through her limbs and through the ground, keeping her in place. "Now... Where do I start..." Cirven spoke out as he pulled out two more knives from his waist and started to cut at the woman's body. He made sure to only cut parts of her body that would give her the most pain while keeping her alive. It was a torture technique he had learned to make people talk but he knew that it was commonly something that ended in the recipient bleeding out and dying.

"I wonder how many times it will take for you to end up unconscious." The devil spoke out as he cut into the woman over and over again. His usual blue eye was now red from the anger he felt showing that his demonic bloodlust had kicked in and had caused him to go into a different personality altogether as he continued to carve away at the woman. He had reached over a hundred slashes across her body before coming back to his senses and seeing what he had done. His breathing was heavy and his eye returned to its regular blue hue as he looked over her body. His memories of when he was tortured over and over again in order to get his pain tolerance higher forced him to reel back and grab his face for a few seconds while thinking that there was a part of him that actually enjoyed what he had just done. He had to even resist licking the blood on his knives off from the urge he felt. "Shindara..." He spoke out after regaining his composure. "Did you get the info we needed on where the medicine is at and where Ruvel's friend is? I'm keeping the guard distracted so we won't have to worry about that for a bit but we need the information from this woman in order to save them both if we can. Otherwise, I might have to just run through this place by myself until I find what we are looking for and save everyone." He spoke to the entity inside his own mind and waited for an answer as he looked over the now unconscious and slowly dying woman.

Shindara seemed confused that the other wanted to call them by their true names given that he normally wanted to call people by nicknames. 'Please teacher, we insist.' Shindara sent calmly to the other, he didn't want the other to change himself to fit around their ideals. To the elder of the two princes this was wrong especially since they wouldn't budge from their stance on what they were going to call him. 'Teacher isn't a nickname, it is a title a highly respected one within our culture.' Shindara corrected the one whom was travelling withing Ruvel's shadow with him. 'There are very few titles that can rival it.' he continued in the hopes that the other would understand but if Cirven had any questions about it, them or the culture itself he would try his best to answer and explain it in a way the other would understand. The twins by no means believed that the demon male was ignorant in the slightest, had they they wouldn't have agreed to place their Ruvel in his charge; they just realised that different species and cultures had different ways of doing things and taking in information.

They knew the other was far from being how they were and appreciated that he was trying to facilitate them. 'Teacher, please be yourself.' Shindara finally said with a small smile on his face, this was not just for their benefit but Ruvel's as well so he knew the man who was to care for him not the mask that he wore. Shindara picked up on the emotions of Cirven his eyes going to him, he could understand how he was feeling and didn't blame him for it, he did remain quiet on the matter however. 'Well you will see soon teacher..' Shindara sent as the events unfolded when they passed the threshold. His eyes closing his fists clenched on his sleeves to prevent them going for his sword 'They don't even bother showing him any kind of dignity... they took his name and replace it with the title you hear them speak now.' he sent to the other who he could sense was also struggling to control his anger 'The direct translation of what they are calling him is 'slave', they see him as there for nothing more than to facilitate their own goals.' he said calmly.

'It is true my own people use slavery, but those who serve us in such a role are still shown the respect of their birth name and given no true harm unless severely warranted; their superiors are charged with their training and well being.' he informed the other releasing his sleeves, it was clear the race had its own way of doing things but they were still respectful even to those who where on the lowest tier of society. 'Perhaps one day you will come visit us teacher.' it was an open invitation to his current companion, their dealings with Ruvel had been by pure chance when he somehow managed to stumble into their home realm sick, injured and disorientated. Against the advice of others the two brothers personally tended to what was an unclean outsider and soon formed contracts with him. To this day they didn't speak as to why they done such a thing that was seen below their station, it was between themselves and Ruvel alone and not even he knew what motivated them to offer their services.

'We shouldn't destroy it, there are far to many innocents here.' Shindara commented picking up on the thoughts of those around the area, he could feel the despair, pain and the wishes of death but it would be needless killing and he knew Ruvel would be dead set against it. 'For some of them they have been born and raised here, others have Stockholm syndrome either way they wouldn't do well outside their cage.' Amuul finally said something after a long amount of silence as he had been dismissed to do atonement by Shindara. As much as Shindara wanted to disagree with him he couldn't because he knew it to be true, their own young summoner was on the knifes edge himself and one wrong move would make him slip to become one of the voices that no longer had despair, pain or the wish for death but a hollow shell that would almost cease to exist any other way.

The guard looked to the doppelganger and chuckled "Rothe isn't normally an issue, we got him when he was four... little bastard screamed for his parents for days though, management put up with it for about a week and it was quickly beat out of him" he said rubbing the back of his neck "I was still new myself at that point so all this kinda got to me." he confessed but he nudged the other "Soon came to an end, I just became numb to it all." it was clear he wasn't a bad guy in the beginning "Then there's the benefits" he said with a chuckle "As for him, he's the first one ever to escape and til this day we don't know how he done it so it'll be one of the things he'll need to answer for and I REALLY wouldn't want to be him when that happens" the guard shuddered at the thought like he knew what was awaiting Ruvel. "Of course, of course... I have no clue how much a hunter like yourselves skills usually go for; our own hunters couldn't find him so you must have an ability that we'd highly value." the guard continued.

"Don't worry about the that shit hole out there, we only go in there if there's issues or someone particular needs found or punished" this showed for the most part those within the city limits where left to fend for themselves. The twins themselves picked up on the conversation through Cirven himself 'There is rarely enough fresh food for even ten percent of the population, it's normally what inside throw out after a few days; the strong thrive here leaving people like our summoner to eat scraps.' he explained calmly 'Even then he gives most of what he can fine to the one he's paired with so she might be healthy' Amuul added quietly he was unhappy with the situation and it showed in his undertone

'Many of those who come here never get past a year unless they conform quickly or they're needed for something' Amuul said in a steady tone 'Our summoner is both, but given the age he was when he arrived at this place.' Shindara sighed, he didn't blame Ruvel for his behaviour anyone who ended up in this place would much be same. 'The only way to survive is to submit, surrender and behave' Amuul said his tone somewhat aggressive as he spoke on the matter 'Brother, maintain yourself.' Shindara warned, he was having a difficult time doing it himself but he had to be the more sensible one of the three it would seem as he picked up on Cirven's true thoughts and feelings. "Ah, yeah the grand city. Where the likes of us live and get pampered." he chuckled pointing to some of those who lost hope wore lesser clothing doing menial tasks like tending to gardens, painting or maintenance accepting whatever abuse came their way without a word only moving their hands in the method Ruvel hand moved his completely covering their face. "Rothe was close to becoming one of them before his escape, shouldn't take to much to break him which will make management happy. The prepared a specialised room for him and his bride." he said with a shrug

'He obviously hasn't met warrior or demoness yet if he thinks our summoner will break easily he'll be sadly mistaken.' Amuul snorted 'It is true, they are far from easy on him, they're down right abusive in fact but even they have never went as far as here.' Shindara sighed hoping that the constant strain of abuse between two of their co summons would be enough to strengthen him even a little. 'Ask about the room please teacher.' Shindara asked his voice showing a curious undertone. 'Not friend, pairing.' Amuul corrected 'Our elder cousin, Aeima' Shindara continued his hand going to his head 'He calls her Demi, the name they gave her is terrible.' he sent to the other a deep breath. "They're all pretty pathetic to be honest but that one and his bride seem to be favoured, not a clue as to why; above my pay grade." he said with a shrug having nothing more to say on the matter "I just get called Zer." he said taking the hunters hand shaking it "Not really, we all go by nicknames when it comes to our lot" he laughed it was almost like a brotherhood of sorts where they where tight knit with each other.

Shindara blinked looking around the room, it was the first thing he had seen like it in person and was unsure what to make of it. 'Well yes, I can. I've told you my brother and I can see and hear everything of a person.' he let Cirven know but his eyes turned away 'We have rules teacher, we do not release information we see without the permission of the one who's information it is.' Amuul finished, they hated the curse they where born with so they had made rules and conduct they would abide by. 'We can't give you any information from her if she will not allow it teacher.' Shindara continued calmly on the matter it would be clear that this was something they had never budged from and they wouldn't now. He hadn't been paying attention till he heard a sort of clang noise looking up only to see Cirven starting to put daggers through her hands and feet making his eyes open in surprise as he hadn't expected him to act out right now since it would become problematic for them. He knew he should have stopped the other but he himself wanted her dead for what she had done to his summoner so just stood there and watched as he slashed at her continuously. He understood why it was being done given he knew the demons past, Still left a distaste in his mouth; and then he had another concern. He knew Cirven was a good man with a level head on his shoulders at the best of times, but he was worried for his young summoner to see him like this especially now in this place the secondary concern being if he got angry or lost his temper with Ruvel how badly it would end up.

He knew he should show the others and voice his potential concerns with them, after all they all had the same clause with in their contracts and that was to keep the fragile boy safe come what may. Shaking his head he sighed keeping his worries and concerns between himself and Amuul who understood why his brother would feel this way. He decided he was just being overly cautious given the location and what was on the line coming to the conclusion he would have a talk with Cirven about his concerns so that they where on the same page in regards to things. He moved to the chair taking everything out and undoing the bindings before tending to his wounds. 'She's a victim herself teacher, one that lost hope.' Shindara said noticing a marking on the nape of the woman's neck at the corner of his eye. 'Do you feel better yet, or will tasting her blood help you with that?' he commented but then realised he had over stepped a line he normally wouldn't cross 'My apologies teacher.' he said bowing quite low for a long moment as an apology for what he had said, soon he stood looking to the other as he realised the problem they now faced 'Regardless, we now have an issue... people like him are always accompanied within this building you've pretty much killed the woman who would have called for a guard to take him to the city.' he said frustration in his eyes, it's true he wanted the woman dead but that would come after everything else was dealt with.

'Shindara, Amuul... if he asks information give it to him' Aelona demanded in the open network, she knew the gifts the two had and knew they likely had rules they followed because of it. 'We can't' Shindara said calmly 'There are rules we follow.' Amuul continued his brothers sentence 'Will you two shut the hell up' barthenz almost roared 'Your race puts duty and honour above all else! Your duty is to your summoner before your own damn prides the moment you agreed a contract with him!' the warrior god was beyond angry and it was easily heard making Shindara take pause for a moment. The void prince knew the warrior was right but still he felt if he crossed that line once where would it stop. 'We understand your predicament dear twins, but without the medicine he will die and the fault would lie on you both as you could have stopped it.' Edaenz said calmly to them 'We're not asking without thought of feeling to either of you, but if you continue with your foolish pride on this occasion he will die in this hell, a hell we all promised he would never have to come to again.' Seiyuki continued the argument 'just one help, he no deserve... please...' the small dream fairy begged clearly upset.

Shindara sighed a little knowing it was true, their duty to Ruvel came before all else 'The medicine she doesn't know about we are looking for people with black uniform red embroidery.' Shindara gave the information 'but they only turn up on the night of the blood moon' He added 'Our cousin is in the city somewhere so perhaps we can find her, she will know where the needed people are we believe' Amuul added feeling as lousy as his twin 'Besides, if we don't move soon someone may come in and how are you going to explain her?' he finished knowing that would only end badly for Ruvel.

Cirven could only stand and look at what he had done to the woman in front of him. His emotions had quickly taken over him and caused him to attack her viciously and without care for her life at all. She had hurt a person he wanted to protect and because of that mixed with the emotions he was feeling due to the area they were in it had triggered his demonic side that he usually held in. In truth, the devil could never really kill indiscriminately and because of that he was forced to throw away his regular self in order to take lives in the past. The scene in front of him had reminded him of a time in his past that he could not avoid at all.

    ------------The Past---------------

In the light of the moon, a man wearing a brown cloak and matching hat walked out of a building and locked the door behind him. He was a known detective of the area and because of his exploits he had started to become more known by some people who were not too keen on his work. He specialized in finding and taking down dark organizations in the world by finding the proof he needed to do so and taking it to the Magic Council himself but his latest work had him finding out more and more about a secret organization that focused on taking those with abilities and forcing them to join their ranks while forcing others to become experiments for some sort of super soldier research. He had just gotten to the point where he had uncovered the identity of the group through his research and had a name; Cor Torva. It was a underground dark guild that not many knew about and those who found themselves knowing of it were either soon to be in too deep or were a part of the group themselves. They were known for killing or forcibly recruiting those who were against them but the detective would not give up because of that. He had the want to make the world a better place for everyone and prevent groups like Cor Torva in some way.

As he made his way to his home through the streets of the city, he had a feeling he was being followed by someone or something. The streets were somewhat busy at this time of night but he had felt like something was not right and something was nagging at his back as he moved. He did not look back behind him though and made sure to seem as normal as possible. He then made his way into a abandoned tunnel area where he turned around to catch sight of who ever was following him but saw nothing there. "Deren Servastion." A voice spoke from behind him and he quickly turned around while pulling out a magical gun that he pointed where the voice came from where he saw a blue haired and blue eyed younger man wearing all black. "Who are you?" The blue haired man stared directly into Deren's eyes. "You have been deemed a threat and because of that I have orders to deal with you." Deren let out a sigh and smiled. "They must have a lot of faith in you to send you alone. I'm used to more than one person being after me but the fact they sent only one person gives off a completely different fear for me." Deren used magic to summon out another gun into his other hand. "Let's get this over with then, shall we?"

Without any more words the blue haired man rushed forward and dodged shot after shot from Deren's guns until the detective summoned out a faster firing weapon that could catch up with the blue haired man. These shots from the new weapon hit their target area a few times but a sword was suddenly summoned using magic by the blue haired man and was used to deflect the shots through some sort of barrier spell. The two traded dodges and attacks over and over with the tunnel area becoming more and more destroyed. The battle changed when the blue haired man's sword suddenly was engulfed in some sort of magical power that morphed it into six individual weapons that floated around the blue haired man who seemed to take on a more violent persona suddenly. The swords flew threw the air and sliced their way across the air just barely missing Deren and digging into the ground behind him while the others dug into the ground in front of him. Deren figured it out too late what was going on and was quickly blasted by an immense surge of lightning that was focused in the center of the blades and even destroyed the top of the tunnel leaving a hole in the top of it. Deren fell to the ground and as he did the blades that were in the ground around him stabbed through his body multiple times.

From the bloody mess that he was left in Deren looked up and laughed seeing the face of the blue haired man had tears running down it. "Sorry... It has to be this way.. Just... I'm sorry..." The man spoke down to him after somehow coming to his senses more so than he was earlier. Deren was confused but could feel that this man was different from those he had fought before. He was fighting with much more purpose than those who were only out to kill him for prying too much. "It's okay... It had to catch up with me at some point.. Make sure you don't stay a puppet.." Deren managed to speak out before his breathing stopped. The blue haired man tried to regain himself but the words he had just heard from the man hit him hard and caused him to drop to his knees in front of the man.

    ------------The Present---------------

The voice of Shindara speaking to him caused Cirven to break from his flashback and return to the present where he stood over the unconscious woman in front of him. He had only been thinking of it for a short few seconds but to him it felt like he relived the entire event again. Shindara calling the woman a victim and one of the ones that had fallen caused Cirven to think more into who she was. She had been like Ruvel and then changed into a monster just like something that they wanted to do to Ruvel before he escaped. "I'm fine and I don't need any of her blood. I am more interested in what she knows so we can figure out our next steps here."

Cirven's time in thinking of his past did not affect his produced fake in the hunter much at all with how the guard was talking so much. "Glad that I don't have to live out there with that kid and the rest of the trash but I was wondering what type of room would be prepared for some sort of trash like that kid I brought back? Probably pretty fancy with someone that built themselves up from being trash, right?" The hunter continued to listen to all of the things the guard said and followed him around the area showing Cirven and through him showing Shindara what the fake hunter saw. "I will need to end the hunter's existence for what I have planned next." With that said the hunter spoke out to the guard. "This place is fancy and all but I think I will need time to think over this job offer some so I'd like to leave for a bit. I will need to get some things before coming back here anyways. It is this way to the exit, right Zer? Nice to meet you, by the way." The hunter spoke out from what he remembered was the exit the guard had shown him. Cirven did not know if Zer would let Wolcrain get away like that but Cirven did not want to waste anymore time with the guard and could only hold up one doppleganger at a time and with their current situation they would need another one.

Back with Cirven and the situation they found themselves in he had come up with an idea. "Shin, I can make sure no one gets into this room for some time while we make our way around the facility looking for what we need. You know I can move through shadows so it would be easy for me to jump around and find what we need but I just need an idea of where to go. All I need is the information that she knows." He said talking about the woman in front of him who was probably going to die soon from her wounds. She might have been a victim at one point but Cirven felt she deserved what had come at her from his attack. She had fallen too far in his eyes to be redeemed so even though he regretted what he did a bit he did not think she didn't deserve it.

Suddenly Shindara and Amuul spoke up about what they needed to do next. They needed to find Demi and then they could go from there but Cirven had a better idea. "My idea is that I will go shadow hopping and keep my eyes open for the people we are looking for while making sure we don't have any surprises coming our way. You use your ability to talk to me through our link so that I can make sure Demi is okay and then use her possible information to get what we need quickly so that we can all get out of here which is another entirely different thing honestly but we will get out of here." He proposed to the twins and then he removed his knives from the woman's body while placing her on the floor leaning on a wall. "Should I kill her now?"

Post by Ruvel 19th October 2017, 9:22 am

Shindara watched quietly as he seen the other returned back to his normal self he was still concerned about what may happen if his summoner went against the wants of his now tutor, he wished to voice those concerns but he knew now wasn't the best time for that kind of thing given that someone could walk in at any point. He had continued to cover the wounds his hand going to the eye that had taken abuse this time but noticed it had effected the other in the same matter 'Mortals are so cruel to each other.' His tone showed a disgust as he bandaged the eyes preventing Ruvel from seeing anything even if he was to waken. 'Well not all species are as advanced as ours, look at demons in general.' Amuul said with a sigh 'The comment was not aimed at you teacher I assure you.' Shindara said making sure that Cirven knew that he wasn't being thrown in with the bunch they where speaking of 'In general demon we have come across are happy to maim, torture, kill amongst other unsavoury acts' Amuul added 'Our kind done away with a lot of that, in fact torture and killing are only allowed under certain circumstances.' Shindara said covering his mouth with his sleeve as he yawned, being in the light was using his energy quickly not to mention it was just full on hurting him though he pushed it aside for now.

'Teacher, why do you protect a child you barely know so fiercely?' he asked the other as he finished tending to the last of the wounds 'Brother don't go down that trail, it will only bring up questions.' Amuul offered advice to the other 'This may be true, and where we can see it first hand memories, thoughts, feelings, desires we can't see a person's heart and it is this I need to hear.' Shindara sent to Amuul looking to Cirven waiting for an answer to his question. 'You're becoming over protective of him again, not that I am one to talk given the area.' Amuul conceded to his counterpart. Shindara sighed his clothing changing to be black clothing much like what the woman had been wearing with red and gold embroidery, a red sash sat to his right with black embroidery on it for all intents and purposes Shindara looked like worked within the facility 'I feel so dirty wearing these' he said throwing Cirven some clothing made from his own shadows that looked much like the guards but this time they were black golden runes on it 'Change quickly' he said knowing that right now they couldn't really do with another dead body.

'White garbed silver embroidery means they can pull weight over guards and those with plain clothing, but they know very little.' he said to Cirven. The moment Cirven touched the shadow clothing to his own it almost looked like he was wearing the entire new outfit 'My 'cast' within the facility don't speak to those below black clothing golden embroidery, and those with black clothing golden embroidery act as their wills, personal guards and voice... both cast are unparalleled by any other cast within this facility so we shouldn't be challenged.' he said shuddering still not liking he was dressed as one of Ruvel's main tormentors. 'I know you are going to hate it teacher but grab him by his hair, neck, arm, leg or collar and follow me. We do not need to lock the room, when we come across another demand they clean up the filth within research chamber one and don't hold back the aggression.' he said waiting for the other to do what he asked 'They would have killed her anyway teacher, no procedure or punishment is allowed to be performed on him the week leading up to a blood moon. She broke the rules.' Amuul informed the demon as Shindara opened the door walking out waiting for Cirven to join him, he would give the directions so they could head to the city.

The guard listened chuckling "Yeah, much of the dirt out there if they survive become mindless slaves within the facility, on occasion if something within their tests have shown something useful then they're retrained and given limited authority and freedom." he said rubbing the back of his neck "That one we seen was one of the lost that was given new life, she remembers nothing of what she was even as the dirt outside." he explained to the doppelganger "Rothe's soon to be room?" he seemed to be surprised at the question but chucked realising it was a curious mind that wanted to know more about the place that he would soon work and headed to a window nearby pointing out to what almost seemed like a small one room, story pagoda in the middle of a large pool of water without any bridge. Even from where they stood it would be easy to see that inside looked lavish though the materials could be undetermined "That is to be Rothe's entire world when he breaks, other than when he's doing his duties at the ceremony." he said crossing his arms "Not bad for a ten year old piece of trash hu." his tone showed a bit off annoyance but over all he didn't care.

"Sorry Wolf, no can do the place is on lock down for the next two days, I can get you a room where you can stay until then if you want. You'd be treated like a king while you decide your future." he said with a grin as he started walking down the hall to the guards quarters allowing the other to follow him. Zer kicking over a water bucket on purpose making the one who was knelt cleaning the floor quickly moving to bow in the same way Ruvel hand before trying to get the water off the his boot only to be kicked back, the person going back to their task trying to deal with the large puddle of soapy water on the floor, their eyes going to the doppelganger as if they could see right through it but done nothing but clean the floor. "Nice to make them remember where they lay" he chuckled "Don't worry about that trash it's mute, it's voice box was taken out for screaming" he had a dark twisted smile on his face given he was the one who gave the order for it to happen.

'The medicine isn't made until the night of the blood moon, but I'm picking up another issue teacher.' Things where just getting more and more difficult and it was starting to frustrate the void prince. 'The one from where you originally met our summoner... he survived, they both did.' he sent to Cirven his eyes closing 'He is somewhere within this facility, we need to find out what he's up to and his next step teacher.' he said, he was worried about this it wasn't something that either he or his brother had expected but for every monster like that man out there, there was always someone willing to take over so they needed to follow him and find out what the end game was and why the two where so important to him and his fiendish research.

Cirven was back to himself but their situation was still a bit dire. They had to quickly come up with a way of dealing with the near dead woman in front of them while helping Ruvel get out of his predicament of the torturous machine he was made a part of. They would also need to get out of the room without being detected by the enemies around them while either preventing anyone from getting into the room or having some other sort of solution. Ideas ran through the devil's mind over what he could do but his actions were limited with how 'Wolcrain' still being active. If he were not he would have a way to mask himself as the woman and escort themselves out of the room safely but it wasn't an option.

As he went over his thoughts on what they could do Shindara and Amuul spoke back and forth about mortals and how they were. They even brought up demons which Amuul basically had used as a shot at Cirven for being one himself but Shindara spoke up that his brother did not mean it that way. "It's okay. If he meant it in a bad way then that is how it is.
It isn't like I didn't just act like one of them, even if I had a good reason to do so.
" He commented on the woman's body that was in front of them. His thoughts were further cut off when Shindara asked him why he wanted to go so far for someone he barely knew anything about. Amuul spoke up against the question but Cirven would answer it anyways. "I want to protect him because he feels like someone who needs help. He seems like myself in the past when I needed help and had to find others to lean on for that help. Others who are gone now but even when they are not around they influence me so I thought I could possibly do the same for him." The devil spoke out as sincere as he could about the subject. He didn't know what the two twins would do with believing him but either way they needed to get moving.

Before he could speak out on their options Shindara appeared in a black uniform similar to the woman Cirven had viciously attacked. Some similar clothes formed out of shadow in the man's hands and he threw them to Cirven who caught them and looked them over. "At least their uniform can be used to hide certain parts of myself." The devil spoke out as he started to change into the clothes thrown at him. It came complete with a hat that could be used to cover the Devil's face enough to keep his identity somewhat unknown to those in the facility which he needed to do to avoid any situations in the future. He could have easily disguised himself with his magic if he was able to get rid of his doppleganger but Zer had forced him to continue playing the part of 'Hunter' as they traversed through the facility more. It would probably not be too long before the devil was able to get rid of his 'Hunter' persona because Zer offered to give the man his own room where he would have his privacy but he would need to get to the room first.

"The experiments here must be really something to cause that ten year old to look like man like that, huh? Either way though, having my own room doesn't sound too bad at all." Wolcrain spoke out after Zer had explained the 'room' Ruvel was to have and then he followed Zer through the facility more. The guard was not the best of people at all and Shindara's want for the man to be killed and how he treated Ruvel should have been enough of a testament to that but the man just continued to have dark and twisted ways of treating those around him. It was as if he had some sort of superiority complex where he needed to feel above those around him, especially those who did not have any power or even will enough to fight anymore. "I understand. You can't let any of the trash try to put yourself above you or even on the same playing field as you. That is just bad for business after all. But other than all this talk about these inferior pieces of trash, where is that room you promised me? I am feeling a bit tired from my travels and would like a nice bed to lay in undisturbed for the rest of the day." Cirven wanted to get to the room as soon as possible so that he could focus more on the situation he had in front of him rather than play job applicant with Zer.

After Cirven was fully dressed in the uniform he approached Ruvel and sighed before taking all of the equipment off of him. He could see that he was unconscious still and because of that it was easier to remove the instruments from his body but Cirven was still careful. After removing them the devil picked up the unconscious man over his shoulder. "You failed to mention that Ruvel is only ten years old to me, Shin. I don't know how he is so young with this body but that only makes me want to help him more. With him being unconscious this will be the best way of moving him around. Pulling him by his hair will only result in ripping his hair out and his body going nowhere. Do you want to carry him like this or should I?" The devil spoke to Shindara after hearing Zer call Ruvel only ten years old.

After the duo decided who was to carry Ruvel they would leave the room and make their way back into the slums area of the facility where the uniformed Cirven would approach a guard with a stern look on his face that made the guard visibly feel uneasy. "Guard!
In the punishment room there is one of our broken. She is to be removed from here for breaking protocol and punishing our required Rothe here. Make sure to clean up after you are done too. We have a name to keep for ourselves and the mess she has caused has only soiled it. Get others if you think you need the help but do a good job and I'll make sure there is a promotion for someone as such as you down the line.
" With that Cirven moved by the guard deeper into the slums. "Shindara, any idea were Demi would be?
I am wanting to get Ruvel with someone and somewhere we can trust he will be okay. This place is too full of eyes that will sooner or later see through what we are doing, even with these disguises.
" He stopped speaking as he saw a girl hanging from a tree in the center of the slums area.

Zer nodded to Wolcrain as he spoke a smile on his face as he changed direction towards the sleeping quarters as he heard that was where the other would like to go to rest. Given that he believed he had to deal with Ruvel he could understand while the other would be tired, to Zer's mind Ruvel may not be a threat but he was still faster than an average person and could be a bit of a handful at times. He guessed that when his new colleague dragged him back he fought not to return to this place after escaping. Hearing the comment about Ruvel's age compared to his appearance he chuckled "One of the experiments he endured done it to him, I think it lasted eighteen days straight. The screaming echoed through the facility the entire time, they didn't permit him to sleep or faint the entire time. Every time he did the one he was paired with was hurt in front of him" he said with a shrug as if it was a run of the mill thing "Poor bastard almost died a half dozen times, it's said the one he is paired with was an immortal that gave it up so he would survive... cruel bitch if you ask me" he said honestly as he opened a door "This is your quarters." he said heading back the way he came allowing his new ally to settle into the semi luxurious room.

'It was more aimed at Ordhabbi, she is cruel even to the one who she has a contract with' he explained, he had seen and heard how the fire demoness treated Ruvel and it never sat well with either him or Amuul, it was just Amuul was more vocal about the distasteful acts of the demoness. 'Yes, I forgot your guild likes to hide themselves behind masks to protect themselves and the image of those who work for the legal side of the guild which is a trading company.' Shidara said calmly hearing how the other was content to wear what he was given, seeming almost thankful at it. The twins hearing his reply seemed satisfied 'We are glad that you are the one who has decided to help him adjust teacher, you have been through similar so know how slow it may take.' Amuul explained his voice calm as always as he voiced his opinion on the matter, they knew that the other would handle him with kit gloves for the most part. 'I'm sorry but I had to know teacher where things stood.' Shindara finished.

'I didn't fail to mention it no more than I would fail to mention your age to him if had not asked about it.' Shindara commented 'We have rules after all teacher, and you didn't ask so we had no reason to share' Amuul commented, it was clear with these two if you wanted certain kinds of information you would have to ask for it directly and because of the rules they had they might not share said information unless permission was given. 'But yes, our summoner is ten years old. A very cruel experiment was done on him' Shindara said his right hand going to his arm 'We will not get into the details to much but it made him age ten years in eighteen days, the number of near deaths was actually twenty four.' Amuul continued his tone showing annoyance. 'If it wasn't for our cousin he would have, but perhaps it may have been kinder to let him pass and be with his family instead of having to endure a further ten years of this hell.' he sighed not knowing what was going through his cousins head.

'The cast I am wouldn't carry him' Shindara said walking next to him as he walked through the lobby stopping just as Cirven did to order the guard to tend to the woman inside the experiment room. As they moved again he shook his head 'No, I don't the link our people have with one another has been severed with her somehow.' he explained walking out of the facility and into the ruins, his eyes going to Ruvel as he stirred rubbing his eyes. The youth was still in a sleep filled hazed but winced as he felt the pain from what had happened "What the hell..." he said as blood tears of light fell staining the bandages around his eyes "Oh.." it was almost as if he realised where he was and that it wasn't just a horrible nightmare like he wished it had been. He covered his mouth coughing harshly blood trickling from his lips but it calmed after a few minutes. "There's no way I'll survive this time..." he whispered getting to his feet.

Shindara remained quiet watching him before moving into his shadow once more his clothing changing back to his normal clothing. Ruvel started walking down the streets almost as if aimlessly, but hearing voices he ducked into the shadow curling to be as small as he could until the voices started to ebb. Hearing some familiar voices he ran towards them even without his eyes he knew every inch of this place "Where's Demi?" he asked one of the three who looked to the side. "Well seems you didn't get away after all Rui, but you've definitely did it this time" a second said "Argai, I don't have time for this.. where's Demi?" he said grabbing the others arm weakly "You're sick again hu" the one known as Argai said making Ruvel look to the side "When's he not sick" said the third "Shh, they hear you talk about him at this time and who knows what'll happen to you." the first said "Demi is at the centre of town, has been since you escaped Rui" he said quietly only making the youth run towards the centre of town almost stumbling over his own feet to get there quicker.

After a short run he bit his lip and started to run up a set of step but where there where no more he jamp from branch to branch keeping a perfect balance as he did so, but he was feeling like he was ready to collapse by the time he managed to get to the branch Demi was on. Demi appeared as an eight year old girl with raven black hair wearing an outfit much like ruvels a noose was around her neck as she stood on her tiptoes that barely touched the branch below "D-Demi..." he whispered a knife made of pure light appearing in his left hand and he cut at the rope before it vanished grabbing demi and making his way back down the tree but due to his fatigue and weakness he mistepped and they both went falling Ruvel twisted so he would take the brunt of the force as they hit the ground he winced but smiled "Hi Demi..." the girl who blinked at him in fear "R-Rui, what are you doing here... why'd you come back." her voice was in a panic "Not my decision." he said faintly hugging her.

Everything was going much smoother now that Cirven and Shindara had their disguises. They were able to get around the facility with ease and the devil was able to order a guard to clean up the punishment room they had come out of with their disguises. No one seemed to want to question anything they were doing because of the duo's disguises. It was like they were risking their lives to just talk to either of them which was true in a few ways but they would not know that. Even with one of them holding Ruvel and lugging him around, they were not questioned at all. Cirven figured there was a lot more power in the uniform he was wearing than he thought there was. Enough power that no one even wanted to looked their way or come between them and where they were going which was perfect for him as he only had a hat to cover who he was.

Back with Wolcrain, Zer had been talking up a storm. It was as if the guard was not able to talk about things at all and was mute until he met someone new, which could have been true but the fake persona of Cirven did not speak up on it and simply listened to what his counterpart had to say as they made their way through the area. Zer gave more details on the experiments that Ruvel went through as they made their way towards a door which lead to a room that he stated was Wolcrain's new quarters. "Thank you, Zer. If you don't mind I'd like to rest up now. I am pretty worn out from catching that boy for you. Thanks again." Wolcrain said as he walked into the room and shut the door as he nodded to Zer in a way that seemed to say 'goodbye' to the other man. After a few seconds of being alone in the room and having the door shut Cirven dispersed his magic which created Wolcrain and left the room empty for anyone to find. He knew that they would eventually get into the room but it was not an issue because Cirven planned on getting out of the facility before then. At most the guards would be on alert about finding Wolcrain and would be on a wild goose chase looking for him which could benefit the actions of himself and the others in the time their were there.

Cirven looked up as Ruvel started to stir and wake up which allowed them to put him back on the ground so he could move by himself. He didn't seem surprised by what was going on at all and because of that Cirven figured Shindara and Amuul probably informed him on what was going on. "You will get out of here and we will all survive this. Remember that." Cirven spoke out to Ruvel speaking under his breath before running off to talk to some of the others who lived in the slums. Cirven's hearing allowed him to find out the information that Ruvel just received and what he had said to get it. It was a handy way of finding out truths in the area for him.

The group later found their way to a tree in the center of the slums where a girl was hanging from it just enough to where she was on his tip toes to avoid choking. The sight bothered Cirven but he had to play his part. Ruvel spoke out lightly her name and then ran to her where he quickly saved her and got her down in a rough way but both were okay. Cirven walked over to the two and shook his head. "I will have to teach you how to actually save someone gracefully when you are healthier. Could have hurt yourselves there." He spoke under his voice as he grabbed both of them and pulled them up. "Before you react and yell at me for real I am with Ruvel. We are here to save you and get what medicine we can to save him." He again spoke out under his breath before yelling out at the two. "You dare to defy out orders of punishment for her, boy?! You both will be taking punishment personally from me after this moon as set!!" He yelled out playing his part as best as he knew he could while holding up both of the arms of the two. "Shin,
any place we can go to be more private? I doubt it will look right having someone dressed like myself talking casually with both of them out here.
    "

Post by Ruvel 2nd November 2017, 8:04 am

Shindara looked to Cirven as they walked across the lobby and nodded as if agreeing to something a calm look on his face and eyes 'You are correct, they are afraid of even looking to us. We may as well be gods to them...' his voice to the other almost showed disgust as he spoke the last section of his sentence, he was the nephew to the god of death and heir to the god of the void and had no issue with either station. This was part of his life and he had a role to play and like his twin did so well, but this was different the order and laws were flawed here and that... that didn't sit well with him. 'We decide who lives, who dies, who is experimented on, who is chosen for ceremonies, who has food, who is starved...' it left bad taste in the young princes mouth, it was true he had the same kind of power where he was from if it was called for which luckily it hadn't been but even if such things where, there would be ample reason for it other than the suffering of innocent people to make himself feel stronger.

'Don't look at us teacher, we can't communicate with him in here remember... his magic is blocked' Amuul stated picking up on what Cirven was thinking 'He's resigned himself to the fate that he won't be himself much longer teacher, if he survives at all' Shindara continued 'This is why he is so calm nd just acting numb to the realisation, nothing good comes out of making a scene.' Amuul followed on from his brother's words 'Where he may not be able to be punished, she can be and she'd take both sides punishments.' Shindara finished 'Look how he was when she threatened punishment on our cousin, he done what instinct told him to do and that's to protect her even though he knows physically and mentally she is stronger than him.' Amuul sighed not truly understanding why his summoner would do as he did with his weaknesses, to him it seemed foolish but wouldn't voice his thoughts with anyone but his twin.

Ruvel blinked under the bandages hearing Cirven's voice believing that he was just imagining things, there was no way in his mind that the elder male would be in there; that was until he remembered that it was Cirven and his summons that had thrown him back to the wolves. "Traitor..." he whispered as tears fell from his eyes though as he did the bandage became more saturated in more of his unique blood, before he had ran to try and find Demi. Ruvel turned his head away as Cirven spoke merely hugging Demi to himself protectively, Demi who curled closely seeing the one who spoke to them knowing nothing good ever came with the higher tiers but on hearing the other speak she bit her lip for a second thinking what she wanted to say but remained quiet. 'Teacher, she is thinking; You try and navigate a tree up and down blind to be graceful especially in his condition and then you can comment. What have we done to deserve their attention? It's too soon... but perhaps he'll get the medicine early because if he dances like he is now...' Shidara conveyed to the other now he was closer he could pick up on her thoughts.

Ruvel shook as his wrist was taken pulling him from Demi but didn't fight, Demi took what was happening without fuss "We don't yell when treated like this, nothing but pain follows." she whispered around her body was the same kind of runes Ruvel had but where his were golden in colour her where black. "I-I'm sorry. P-Please don't hurt her... I.." he shook starting to cough moving his hands to his mouth but only managed one heavy blood flow coming from his mouth, Demi pulled her arm free supporting Ruvel looking worried for him "How did you get so bad Rui? You're not like this until it's started..." she hugged him looking to the disguised Cirven "You do this to him and give him barely enough to stay well... Please, please help him.." she ignored everything that Cirven had said because there was no way he would be calling him Ruvel in her mind especially at this time given what it meant.

'Teacher, Ruvel means cursed moon... it's what they call him when the blood moon ceremony is coming up. She doesn't trust or believe you.' Amuul explained to Cirven, given how she had been treated he didn't blame her. 'Yes, there's a place and if you want her to trust you say death's moon protects the twin shadows. It is something she said to Amuul and myself when we where younger to let us know that no matter what others thought of us she would be there to shield us from the hate' he explained in the hopes that this would at least help smooth things out between Cirven and his cousin. "I-I don't feel good.." Ruvel began to wheeze it was clear he was struggling for each breath. "He needs to be in his room... there's to much light here... are you trying to kill him?" Demi took Cirven's hand unsure why one of his rank seemed not to know protocol but made it look as if he was forcing them a long to another part of the building

'This is the building where they will be stored and his medicine will be made.' Shindara moved out of Ruvel's shadow wearing the uniform once more motioning for Demi to get the door which she did. He walked taking lead as would be expected of someone of this station in this particular part of the building as he led them to an empty room with a dull light lacrima in the centre 'Tell her to take him in there and make him comfortable, you want ask that he is resting because he isn't gonna take well to the medicine.' Shindara said 'Even if it means you say you'll be more lenient on them if he is asleep.' he hated how this place worked but for now their hands where tied. 'Brother if he rests without the medicine he may end up in a coma, he needs the medicine now so he can rest comfortably and out of harms way.' Amuul said making shindara sigh because he knew it was the truth at this point.

He moved his hand pushing Demi towards the direction they needed to go hating to be treating his family this way but it was through that single contact he realised the issue 'Her protector is gone brother, if she passes she has no way home... uncle couldn't collect she would just cease.' he explained pushing her again though she was walking this time a little more roughly as he did something was seen to transferred from one to the other making Shindara move his hand to his head as he stumbled a bit. 'Teacher, my brother just gave his protection to her until he can get home he is mortal... I can still pick up on his thoughts and will relay them so it will seem like he himself is speaking but I wanted you to know what was going on. Make sure my brother returns home safe...' Amuul said to the other knowing the older could still slink into shadow for protection which he would likely need given they didn't do well without the darkness.

Before long they where in front of the room and Shindara moved into Ruvel's shadow bringing Cirven in as well this was to strengthen himself for whatever may come next and give the two some needed rest and time together. Demi ran into the room, pulling Ruvel in who coughed a bit more "Demi..." he whispered sliding down a wall "I know you don't want it but... please..." she said bringing down a needle within a warded cabinate and crawled towards him, placing it to the name of his neck he pushed her back with force shaking his head "N-no..." he stuttered Demi took it understanding why he was like this first hand and picked it up, carefully Shindara held Ruvel and the dose of medicine was given to him though he fought with everything he had but stopped as she threw the needle away. "Lets get you to the room okay." she said helping him up and walked towards the door not noticing how the shadow seemed to pick up some documents 'Come what may teacher, don't get involved...' shindara's voice could be heard 'Trial by fire.. to see if he will fight like you hope he will one day.' Amuul continued.

It was shortly after the two where found by two real of the higher tiers though no words where said and nothing was done other than they had roughly dragged by their shirts into a brightly decorated room. Demi looked at the two her hands going to her face "Please, it's to bright for him... he's sick... the room..." she tried to plead with them, remembering the scent of the room and what it meant Ruvel started to unwind the bandages he wore around his eyes "He'll put up with what he is given Maeshara... besides he's to be given punishment for trying to run away from home." one said walking forward towards him. Demi's eyes went wide and bringing down her hands quickly pushed him into one of the open capsules watching as it closed quickly. Ruvel stared to bang against the door "Demi let me out... I can take it!" he yelled at her watching as she shook her head "You've bore everything since the day we had been paired, given me everything you had even if it meant you starved or would go cold..." a gentle smile on her face "It doesn't have to be like this Demi! Open the door!" he continued to bang trying to get through the barrier with little success

"If one day I was no longer human... would you still care for me?" she asked putting her hand on his watching as tears filled his eyes as he seen blood come from her mouth "Of course I will..." he whispered still trying to get out of the containment he found himself in watching as Demi's body went limp and fell on the floor lifeless. Ruvel stood there in silent shock for a few short moments "DEMI!" he finally shouted as a golden aura exploded from his body his amber eyes not only a dull golden amber but had spiralling moon blue pattern within them tears falling as he walked out of the broken capsule his eyes narrowed at the men as he flicked his hand a golden seal appearing under them before golden tendrils shot up stopping the surprised men in their tracks. Bending down Ruvel closed Demi's eyes before bringing up the weapon that had been used to take her existence from him and walked towards the now entombed men the normal timid and meek person he was no where to be seen and what was left was something numb to feeling anything which was proven as he walked past them and swiftly slashed their throats not caring about the blood that was spraying onto him.

Without so much as a thought he dropped the knife and walked out of the room towards the place the ceremony took place knowing the ones who had ordered this would be. Anyone who crossed his path got much the same treatment as the first two, the aura never leaving him until he entered the room seeing the twins. How he hated and feared these two, who seemed to notice him and tilt their heads "We're glad you're back little brother" the male said "But you look disgusting, get a bath and get changed... your duty is soon." said the girl. Ruvel shook his head "I'm not doing it... I'm not that and I'm not dancing... doing the ceremony ne-" before he was finished he felt the gravity around him drag him to the floor, as he did he felt like his body was going to break as he was crushed into the ground making it crack and Ruvel cry out in pain "You forget your place Ruvel" the girl said "Perhaps you need to be reeducated in what happens if you don't submit and obey our parents." the boy said

Shindara anticipating Cirven wanting to go to Ruvel's aid took his shoulder shaking his head 'He needs to stand...' he said but in his current situation if Cirven wanted to go he could do little to stop him. Ruvel was trying to push against what was weighing him down but his weak body wasn't allowing it "You'll always be the weakest of us, locked away in your room when you behave of course protected from the harms of the world.' the girl said "I'm..." he started to push up slowly to be on his knees, doing so hurting every bone but he continued to try "Ruvel, stay down you idiot... we can't have you hurt right now!" the boy demanded Ruvel who started getting to his feet his body crying against it in pain "If I'm going to die then kill me... but..." he held his body "I.. I'm dying on my feet not.." before anything else was said he was hit with an earth bolt knocking him clear into the wall a loud crack easily heard as he cried out 'Please teacher help him now, but he needs to help you... so it can help him.' Amuul said knowing it was now that this growth could begin even if it was slow.

Cirven was not in the best position to be acting the way he was with what he was wearing. Demi and Ruvel both did not show him any sort of trust and instead acted like he was some sort of evil authority they had to deal with. The devil had tried to use Shindara and Amuul as a way to show Ruvel that he was on his side but he had forgotten that Ruvel was cut off from his friends due to where they were. Cirven managed to make a scene out of his yelling at Ruvel when he grabbed his wrist and it caused Ruvel to react in a way that caused the devil to get a disgusted feeling in his gut but he knew he had to do it in order for them to get where they needed and keep up their facade. Ruvel's reaction was to quickly beg and then cough out blood which Demi quickly reacted to and spoke to Cirven as if he was in the wrong for it. He had listened to Shindara earlier and knew that she did not trust him at all or even listened to his words enough to care about anything more than her friend. He was further told how to get the girl to trust him by saying a simple phrase but before he could Demi started to pull him in a direction along with Ruvel. Cirven picked the younger man up and followed behind Demi. "I have not forgotten his part and protocal but we needed you and he would not stay put so instead of hurting him I brought him along with me. Anymore talk like that and I will have to reprimand you and him more so than you are used to, trash." Cirven spoke out to keep his new persona in tact as he followed her.

Once in the building, Cirven listened to the commands that Shindara had given him. "Make sure he is resting and is not an issue unless you want more punishment to come onto you both again. We might even find a new replacement and rid ourselves of both of you if needed." Cirven leaned in close to Demi and spoke into her ear. "Death's moon protects the twin shadows." He then pushed her forward with Shindara as they continued to close in on the room they were after. Once in the room Cirven was pulled into Ruvel's shadow along with Shindara again. He had a feeling what was coming next but he did not want it to happen at all. Cirven was told to only watch as everything happened. All he could do was clench his fist and stare at the situation unfolding. Demi's death had gave Ruvel a new found power that he quickly used and quickly killed two of the higher tiered men that had found both of them and killed her in front of him. Ruvel then made his way through the facility dealing with everyone in his way in a similar way to Cirven's surprise. It was something that was all too familiar of a reaction to losing a friend that he was witnessing.

After making his way to another room where a young girl and boy were, Ruvel was attacked by both of them. Cirven could barely hold himself back and had almost left the shadow when Shindara grabbed his shoulder and told him 'He must stand'. Cirven knew that this was a trial that Ruvel had to go through without his help but he had told him he was going to be there for him and protect him but he couldn't now. All he could do was continue to watch and watch as Ruvel fought against the magic pushing him down.

A smile formed over Cirven's face as Ruvel stood up. It showed him and the twin gods that the boy was much stronger than he looked. Ruvel was then hit by a earth bolt that sent his body flying towards a nearby wall and Amuul spoke out that Cirven needed to help him while Ruvel helped himself. "I heard you loud an clear, Amuul." Cirven spoke out as his body formed out from Ruvel's shadow wearing his Black Sails mask as the Blank Jester and in his regular clothes to go with the look thanks to his mask. He caught the younger man with a similar past to his own. "Hey, creep show kids! Did your parents ever teach you that two against one was pretty unfair? I'd rather you not gang up on my friend here too." Cirven could tell the two twins were thrown off by his sudden appearance. "You okay, Rui? Hope you are fine with me calling you that but tell me that later. We have two creepers to deal with don't we? I'll take the girl."

Cirven did not waste time and darted forward after letting Ruvel get back to his own feet. The girl was quickly surrounded by a flurry of purple magically clawed and electrified hands that she somehow managed to dodge most of but her clothes were a different story. Cirven then threw out a knife towards the girl but missed and it went into the wall near them. "You are in the way of the ceremony! Be crushed and die!" The girl put out her hand and Cirven's body started to succumb to the gravity she produced but before the brunt of the attack could hit he suddenly morphed into purple electricity and flew towards the knife he had thrown earlier completely surprising the girl. "You planned th-AH!!" She started to speak out but another knife flew towards her cutting her arm and stopping her words off showing a seriousness in Jester. The knife laid embedded in the ground "Shut up and fight." The girl could see an aura of death itself appear over Jester. He was different from the person who had been talking to them earlier. She regained herself and started to try and attack with multiple blasts of flame flying towards the devil. She had become mush more frantic in her attacks but it did keep Cirven at a distance from her as he was forced to dodge the attacks and the area was covered in flames around him. After dodging the attacks he found himself standing in the center of the flames she had sent out which all suddenly started to move in a weird way as if something had started to manipulate them. "Die!" The flames around Cirven suddenly all became one around him and erupted up into the air causing a massive explosion of fire that destroyed half of the room and engulfed him in searing flames. The scene of flames raging in front of her left the girl laughing as she felt victorious.

As she laughed a sudden knife came out from the flames and hit the ground near her foot where it dug into it. A purple flash of lighting flew out from the flames and morphed into the form of Jester who quickly reached up with a claw across the girls body, slashing her torso as a look of shock covered her face. The attack came so quick that the girl was not able to let out a shriek of pain in time. The attack was also so powerful that the wall behind her was impacted by it and cit through. "You should watch your guard until the enemy it completely dead." Jester spoke out in a serious tone. The girl stumbled backwards while clutching her arm over her chest as she felt the pain that was just inflicted to her. "You...YOU!!! JUST DIE!!" She yelled out and then using her control over gravity and flew outside and into the air where she put both of her hands out in front of her. Jester flew into the air while throwing multiple knives into the air to hit her but she quickly moved through the air and dodged them while a powerful magic built up up in front of her hands that were out in front of her. "DIE!!" The girl started to release a massive form of gravity magic towards Jester but before she could fully release it a knife stabbed through her side causing her to lose her focus. Seven more knives stabbed into the girls body as Jester flew up towards her and slashed both of his hands across her body again. "Your emotions were your downfall here. You had the power to possibly beat me but you did not have the mind set to do it." The knives then pushed deeper into her body and forced her to the ground as Jester looked up to the sky as he sent a purple streak of lightning into the sky above them. "Maybe in another life you won't deserve this but for now..." Jester turned his head to look down at the girl just before a massive bolt of purple lightning flew down passed Jester and crashed into the girls body that was forced to the ground by the knives stabbing into her. The bolt left nothing but a charred body left that was barely recognizable as the girl. Rain started to fall from the sky above them while Jester flew back down to the ground to face his fallen enemy and then check up on his ally.

Demi had closed her eyes to roll them knowing if they had been seen it would have been bad for them, but then she also worried because she knew that Ruvel would have taken everything like he always had. She knew he felt the need t protect her from as much harm as he possibly could, even though it meant punishments that where beyond cruel that lasted weeks on end with no end in sight for the one she had been paired with. It didn't matter to Ruvel who had caused the infraction he would always bare the blame alone though they both knew it was more likely to kill him over her due to just how his body was, no matter what though he fought to remain and bore everything alone; she knew just because his body was weak it didn't mean the rest of him was due to the dedication to protecting her and managing to keep fighting when he should have passed.

Hearing the words she spoke to the twins when they where younger made her eyes go wide in surprise "Y-you know Amuul and Shindara?!" her voice showed disbelief that someone in here so feared would know her beloved cousins. After hearing his words she nodded following instruction not knowing the one who was pushing her was in fact the elder of the twins that had given his protection so if she passed she would still survive. Once Ruvel had, had his medicine she felt more at ease with the situation however that was short lived with what happened next ending with her life ending at the hands of the superiors that where meant to make sure that Ruvel was taken care of and thus well enough to take part in the cursed ceremony. That single mistake costing their lives and the lives of nineteen others along the way to his final destination.

Getting into the room Ruvel took the abuse, and even managed to fight against it to be standing on his feet though his body was in so much pain begging for him just to lay down and submit to them. He knew if he did, he would be nothing more than a pathetic dog that they would have under their feet for the rest of his life regardless of how long or short that life may be. It was then he heard Cirven's voice and calling him by the name Demi and the others did "Rui is fine for me to be called." he said his voice dead of tone, his body clearly hurting as he listened to what Cirven had said to the twins before dashing after the girl. Ruvel guessed this meant he would be left to deal with the boy his hand clenching making what appeared to be a scythe made of light appear in his hand making the boy blink in surprise to see it "You're going to hurt yourself wielding a weapon Ruvel, you don't know how to use them." he chuckled making Ruvel narrow his eyes "I can wield a staff, not perfectly but I can still defend myself with it... a scythe is nothing more than a staff with something added." he said coldly as he stomped the floor making it seem as if it had all but vanished making the boy jump back, as he did Ruvel dashed forward swinging the scythe with some proficiency though it was clear he was far from perfect with the large weapon.

As he got close he slashed the boys arm drawing more than a little blood though before Ruvel could sever it he found himself frozen in place before having ice shards hitting and taring at his skin making him cry in pain once more, it was made all that much more painful due to his body already taking the trauma of heavy weight but it hadn't taken to long for the ice to melt "No more!" he called out tears falling "No more pain! No more loss!" he yelled making the scythe change to a dagger as he dashed forward the boy unable to move due to believing the floor was gone just to have ruvel tackle him onto the illusion and stab the dagger through his chest several times not caring that the other had stopped moving tears falling as he thought about how he had lost Demi.

Eventually he fainted however the new magic and adrenaline leaving his system taking its toll on the poor boy. With the help of a summon that had been flowing silently moved everyone to the outside allowing another dose of the medicine to be given to Ruvel by Shindara 'I don't know much on these yet, but one is the formula of the medicine... but the person from the sea of devils, there are notes here but it'll take us a while to decipher; all I can tell you from the little I have made out is he is out for you both so watch your backs.' with that Shindara was helped back home to rest and regain protection while working on more of the notes they had taken.
