OOC: Job - iLac
Of all places he would frequent, the Neutral Ground's Gadget District is where he went to the most. It is the place where Red Alert occasionally goes to because he wants to looks at the latest models of state-of-the-art sniper rifles. He went to this district to see what's new with the Aimfire Company, a manufacturer of sniper rifles which has pretty sleek design and it has 100% satisfaction guarantee.
But today is not the day where he visits the Gadget District to look at the new models on display, rather, he came by to get himself an iLac, a lacrima which functions as a communication device for mages. It's a small lacrima which is perfect for being stored in pockets and, of course, it's light weight.
He went to the store, ready to get his new tool for his arsenal. But of course, the hype made the line longer than expected. The line even extends outside the Gadget District! Almost the entire population wanted to get their hands on the iLac. Even citizens from other towns flocked to the Neutral Grounds to buy it. It will only be a matter of time before the iLac would be shipped to other cities and towns.
Red Alert stood in line patiently, hoping that their supply will last for an entire day. "Please don't run out. Please don't run out." He muttered under his helmet. He's not the only one hoping that the supply won't run out today, because there are still many people waiting in line behind him. Even those in the front muttered the same thing. For almost an entire morning and afternoon, he stood in line without rest. He felt like he couldn't feel his legs anymore. Although, the city did provide a nice cool shade from the unforgiving rays of the sun.
No magic can help them, not in this non-magic zone. Everyone is getting tired and pent up. Others went home to prepare for dinner instead.
After a few more minutes of waiting, it was Red Alert's turn to get his iLac. Fortunately, the store had a few more boxes in their storage room because they anticipated a large crowd coming by.
He, after acquiring his iLac, decided to head back to Dr. Hoofman's lab to check out what he is doing and what he wants him to do. "Hey, Doc. I got an iLac back in the Gadget District. It took me hours, but I got it... finally." Dr. Hoofman turned around and set aside his tools to check out the newly acquired item. "Oh this? This is..." His face shifted.
"Inferior Technology." The inventor looks displeased at the sight of the lacrima, where his perception of the small lacrima looks as if it does not have that much potential to it.
The lacrima is not all that great compared to what the inventor is doing, but he decided to keep it for now, just in case he needs to contact someone.
