It was quiet that night, like people had hidden themselves for the darkness that lingered in the streets. They were there, she could hear their blood rush through their veins. She heard their heartbeats, calm and joyful like there was nothing to worry them. But the sounds were faint and she had a hard time hearing them as they were distorted by walls that secured their safety. So Lyithion Areas had taken place with her back against a tree which’s life she had heard at first while walking through the street. She had pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them to keep them in place while leaning her head upon it. This way she made sure to pick up on any sounds that were useful to her. The sounds of people that could possibly leave their homes. She just needed one, big crowds were useless to her. When big crowds were formed Lyithion often chose to follow one person to lead her away from it. Her stomach started to growl to which she moved her arms from around her legs and placed her hands upon her stomach. It had been days since she had eaten a good meal to her own satisfaction and she knew she couldn’t wait much longer with eating something as her body had weakened enough already. If just someone would leave their homes, just for this once. Lyithion would be sure she wouldn’t be able to hold back then. She shook her head lightly, letting some of her white-grey hair drop in front of it. These stupid humans, they should just leave their homes already, they were such a joy kill.

Kyuyo walked openly at night, her hood pulled down and her cloak unfastened, and she liked the moon and cool air. She kept to the less populated areas, which did often make her a target of some of the less reputable members of society. One such person had crossed her path earlier that night, demanding her jewel. she had just laughed and flattened him, with a single well placed hit to the solar plexus, and left him there for someone else to deal with.

"one for the man down the lane... Two for the lady hiding in the shade."

Kyuyo hummed a little song Lana had taught her, it was not amazing and her voice was clearly untrained but not unpleasant. she walked around a bit more stopping when she heard something down another way, her wolfish ears shifting to the direction the sound came from. She calmed down at the sound of retching and the putrid smell of vomit. She scrunched her nose and ran down the lane a bit, her foot steps barely making a sound, after a bit she stopped to catch her breath.

    "well that was nasty...."

Kyuyo straighten up only to catch sight of a girl, she was standing under a light, her wolfish traits were plain as day. Many thoughts ran through her mind, but in the end she decided to speak.

    "erm... hi..."

Lyithion tilted her head towards the way she heard someone breathing. It was only to next up hear the person greet her. How was it that she hadn’t heard her coming? Then again she still didn’t hear much of the person even though it was standing there.

Quickly she moved her hands towards her face to brush the hairs, that had fallen in front, away to show her face. Her watery blue-white eyes staring right at the female yet not able to see a thing. “Hello” she answered the rather hesitating greeting. The tune in her voice was calm but still childish due to the higher pitch in it. Even though the calmness in it, Lyithion’s answer did show off that she was surprised by the person.

Lyithion tilted her head a little to the side after she had answered. Idril who had been resting right beside her hissed at her “wolf traits”. To that the girl nodded lightly, she was glad Idril helped her see the unseen, the snake had saved her live a couple of times and still continued to. But in this case it was just good to know what was surrounding her as she couldn’t seem to hear it.

Kakuma looked at the small framed girl, she had learned better then to assume the she was a child. Lana had been 4' 2" and had no boobs to speak of, something Kyuyo poked fun at her many times. That was besides the point, the girl had some kind of spirit attached to her, she could not make out what but she could sense it. Another one of her "quirks" that she could not explain.

"w-what are you doing out here."

Kyuyo picked up a couple of people coming down the way towards to two, she pulled her hood up and pulled her cloak across her body. The couple, a man and a woman whom were clearly drunk, came around the corner and where a bit startled by a hooded figure standing in the middle of the walkway. She watched as they ran off before turning her attention back to the girl.

    "erm... i... uh..."

Kyuyo's stomach rumbled, a constant thing for her, which caused her to frown. She looked around hoping for some back ally bar she could go to. finding none she sighed, she would have to go to the main area.

"umm is there... anyway..." Kyuyo looked off to the side before continuing, "borrow... some jewel..." Kyuyo sighed she didn't have any money and didn't really didn't want do dishes for food again.

With the question of what she was doing out here, Lyithion got up on her feet. She felt like walking away, that way she didn’t have to answer the question.

It was just about then that she heard the walking blood sacks nearing them. To the sounds her stomach immediately let go of an another noise making it clear she was hungry. Lyithion followed the steps of the woman and male in silence. But once they seemed to be scared off by something she sighed. Yet an another meal running from her grip.

Lyithion focused back on the woman that had approached her. Jewels? She stuck her hands in the small pockets that had been stitched onto her favorite white dress. She traced her fingers through it. Her jewels should be in there, where were they. To her own displease she shook her head.

“I am sorry, I can’t find my jewels” she said with slight disappointment hidden in her voice.

She was sure that if she had any, she would have given her all of them. Just to make the person think of her as a good girl. Yes, a good girl she had to be.

“I can maybe get them for you somewhere” she muttered after the thoughts of needing to be a good girl. She wasn’t sure how or where but if the person wanted jewels then she would be able to get them for her.

Kyuyo cocked her head at the girls response, somehow the girls behavior was off, she didn't know why she felt that, perhaps it was due to being nonhuman. She shrugged to herself and shook her head. She sighed and looked around a bit, she saw a birds nest on on of the roofs nearby, her stomach growled again. Frowning looked at the girl again.

"I will be right back." undid her cloak and sliding it off her shoulders. "Please hold on to this i shall return in a second." Kyuyo held out the cloak to the girl, hoping she would take it. If she didn't she would set it on the ground. She looked around for something to jump to, they was a ledge big enough for her to get a good grip on, after a few second she had figured a good way to get to the nest. She undid the bottom two clasps on the left side of her dress, this allowed her to get enough movement while not putting the dress at risk.

The next thing was quite the feat, a jump that was impossible for any human to do, grabbing ahold of the ledge she had seen. Once her grip was secure she climbed the rest of the building  to the birds nest, where she pulled the, now awake, bird from its nest. Smiling to herself only to realise what she had just done, which caused her to lose her girl and fall down to the ground landing hard.

    "oww..."

Kyuyo was oddly sturdy, something she never really understood, she stood up and grabbed the birds head. With a sharp twist the birds panicked squawking ceased. Kyuyo looked at the girl again and blinked. "Please don't tell anyone what you just saw." She then collected her cloak from where it was left. "I'll share the bird with you if your interested but we will have to leave the city to cook it." Kyuyo put her cloak back on and then started the arduous task of plucking the fat pigeon of all it feathers.

A task! Now she could prove herself, she was sure of it. Lyithion reached out to take the cloak from the woman. She only needed a few seconds to find it with her hand and grab it. Next she would press it tightly against her chest, smelling the scent. The woman smelled different from the scents Lyithion had ever came across. But as she had to trust Idril, this woman was different than the ones she had came across before as well. Lyithion brought the cloak a bit more up towards her face and took in some more of the scent, it made her curious about the woman. What would she taste like? If Lyithion had learned anything the past couple of years it was that different often tasted great.

Idril spoke softly “impressive”, the way Idril spoke was through hisses. Lyithion had always found it quite odd but she couldn’t touch or feel her, so Lyithion had considered Idril to be a ghost, a soul of someone that spoke with a lisp.

“What is?” Lyithion whispered softly in return of Idril’s words. “The wolf, she might come in handy Lyithion, don’t you try to eat her just yet” Idril answered. To that she nodded and tried to hear what Idril had been speaking off. Yet she couldn’t seem to track the woman, something was off on this woman.

It was up until the woman hit the ground that Lyithion didn’t know where she had gone. She heard something squawking and turned her left ear towards it. The bloodline was small, it was something not much bigger than a bird which did explain the squawking. Then the sounds of it stopped and all Lyithion could do was gasp.

Had the woman just killed an animal? Maybe she was hungry? That was probably it, why would a normal woman otherwise kill something? Or was it good to kill birds? All the questions that popped up in her head confused Lyithion more and more.

With the words the woman spoke Lyithion swayed her right hand in front of her eyes. They didn’t tend to follow her hand which wasn’t because they were too lazy to track her hand but was because she just didn’t see the damn thing. “I didn’t see anything” Lyithion replied softly “and yes please, I would love to”. Like Idril had said, maybe the woman came in handy so she had decided to try and stay close to her. But eating bird? And cooked? Why would someone cook their meat? The richness of the flavours would only disappear with that. But what else had she to turn too? Lyithion had to eat soon even if it was prepared bird instead of raw human.

Kyuyo could feel the birds lifeless body in her hand, she didn't know what she had just done honestly, it felt like someone else had done everything. She lead the way out of the city, not really paying attention to anything around her, she was lost in thought about what she had just done. Kyuyo was clumsy and shy but something had possessed her to not only reach out to a stranger but do something completely outside of what she though she was capable of.

    "... who am i..."

Words muttered quietly and repeated inside her mind, not just now but for over a year now. Kyuyo sighed as she realized that she was near the outskirts of the city, she looked around for a nice clearing. Their was one a ways out with enough space to make a small fire, Kyuyo smiled lightly and patted a pouch inside her cloak.

    "come along..."

Kyuyo didn't even look to see if the girl had followed, she just assumed, something her mother had gotten mad at her for on many occasions. Once they arrived Kyuyo set about to clearing space and collecting small stones, creating a ring for the fire. it was not more then a hour that Kyuyo had a nice fire going and was about ready to start cooking.

"erm... are... you allergic to anything?"

Kyuyo have a few things other than the bird she could cook, mostly stuff she had scrounged but she found in the forest. She was hoping to ration more but with someone else to feed she would be out quite quickly, i thought that never left her lips though.

(OCC: sorry about the slow post this last week was busy)
