Child's first treasure Empty Child's first treasure

Post by Charlotte 16th February 2017, 3:12 pm

Traveling! It was always fun, especially when you were headed to someplace you had never visited before. And little Charlotte certainly did not visit this so-called Divide Island yet. She barely explored anything that you could find on the main continent, sea was something she though she would never get around to explore at all! But alas, here she was. Standing on the sturdy wooden flooring of a ship that was swiftly jumping the waves and getting closer to the land. Now, why was she in a place like this when she would never venture out beyond the border of her own home without a reason? Her name was Aerwyna and she was somewhere else on the ship right now. A young looking girl that joined the Team Bravado which was formed with Horatio. Though the majestic and very loud leader was absent from this adventure.

It was a bit strange that he would miss such a grand adventure, but he probably had his own personal reasons. So instead, the girl would enjoy the blowing wind alone as her pure white hair danced with it, to the music of crashing waves and creaking wood. Charlotte and her new teammate were to find a certain treasure buried on this island and divide the profit between themselves, as well as the person who provided them with a map to where they should be looking. It was very exciting, actually! Kinda like playing on a beach, but instead of making sandcastles, they would be digging a big hole to find hidden items! Still sounded very appealing to the young lass who wished for romantic adventures that she read about in her books. She even had a big smile on her face right now, filled with excitement and anticipation. But before they would stop the ship and jump out to start their search, she had to find Aerwyna first.

After all, the adventure would be a very lonely one if she were to dig the sand alone. And the young girl appeared rather pleasant to the pale witch, almost as if there was something royal about her. The image of underwater queens and princesses came to her mind randomly as she searched. And finally she would spot her not too far away, quickly waving her hand at her partner. Partner... she was really not used to calling people that, even if only in her own mind. And who would blame her? She lived majority of her life closed inside of her own home, never leaving it. So now that she actually became more socially active, plenty of things were completely new to her, this included.

Being on a ship… was weird, to say the least. It was for Aerwyna anyway, the type of female that would prefer to stay away from the sea as much as possible for reasons not known except to her, Kinopio and Gala. Luckily she was going to be on an island, meaning that there wasn’t going to be much of note if she had to go and take a swim (which she really doesn’t want.)

Today, she was going on a mission with one of her teammates, a lovely little girl to be exact. Aerwyna hasn’t conversed with her before but she was sure it was going to be fun regardless, there was a few things she had to do though before she got everything else ready, wait, there really wasn’t anything to get ready in all honesty. Everything else that had to be done, was done. The mermaid princess has already spoken to the captain and endured his painful torture of his mumbling about how “He just can’t let the pirates have it.” Which made Aerwyna sigh greatly, but it was quickly over and done with, which is perfectly fine for the mermaid princess. What mattered now was getting to the island before some mermaid pops their head out of the water and spots her. Her father would probably have her in major trouble if she was discovered and would be forced to marry some douchebag, yuck!

Spotting her other team member, the mermaid waved back happily and walked over to the little girl as gracefully as ever before she waved back. “Hello, how are you today?!” She asked. “Not getting sea sick are we??” She had to ask because, she was looking at Kinopio who was behind her, and he looked ready to be seasick… maybe she shouldn’t of taken Kinopio on this adventure.

“Aerwyna!” Kinopio cried out with his croaky voice as he went onto the floor defeated, he was too short to hang his head over the ship and unleash the load, or so Aerwyna heard the others say… “Be sick.” She wasn’t sure what ‘being sick’ meant, but if that's what the humans called it in this world, then that is what it’s called. “I don’t feel well!” The mushroom was clearly in distress, and the mermaid princess didn’t know how to exactly help him. “Don’t worry, Kinopio! We will be off the ship soon!”

Kinopio toddled over to Aerwyna before he clinged onto her in defeat, he really wasn’t taking this well.

Child's first treasure Empty Re: Child's first treasure

Post by Charlotte 17th February 2017, 6:06 am

Just as she thought, there really was a royal aura about the lady in front of her, especially with a walk like that. It quickly filled little Charlotte's head with strange fantasies, thinking if maybe Aerwyna was some sort of escaped princess from land far, far away from this one. The young pale witch always loved these stories in her books and would give just about anything to live through one in the reality! But that was merely a fantasy, something that would surely not come to pass that easily. Princesses were rare these days, especially the escaped kind. They usually just remained in their castles where they had comfort and just everything they would ask for. Yes, spoiled princess was probably a fairly common commodity in this world. Or at least that was what the little girl thought.

"Everything is as well as it could be, miss! I've not felt sick for even a second yet!"

She was somewhat proud to inform her partner that she was just fine and there was no need to worry about her well being. Though she spotted the cute creature as well, a worried expression suddenly growing on her face. Crouching down, she would extend her hands and try to pick up the walking and talking mushroom. Hopefully it would accept the girl and not fight back, as she wished to hold it in her arms and cuddle with it a bit. It was somewhat unusual to see a creature such as this one, even for Charlotte herself. And there was a lot of strange creatures around this girl, though mainly magcats. Speaking of which, she did not see one in a while. Maybe the island would have them as well? She wasn't really sure where the creatures lived, if not everywhere.

"Miss Aerwyna is correct, I saw the land when looking over the railing. The land is very, very close and we'll be stopping soon, so don't worry little one. Your name is Kinopio, right?"

The girl tried to be as friendly as she could towards the creature, booping it's face gently as she smiled and held it. She wasn't really sure if she should use words like 'he' or 'she' so she stuck with 'it' for now. Hopefully the mushroom wasn't capable of reading one's mind, because then it could get very mad at the young witch for thinking that way and being mean about it! And just then, the ship came to a sudden stop, loud noise coming from the front as the anchor was lowered. They were ready to leave and search the beach for their treasure now!

Aerwyna smiled softly at the little girl as she replied that she hasn’t gotten sick for a second yet. That was a relief, at least someone wasn’t getting sick around here, excluding the blue haired princess herself. Not that it mattered, she was just happy that she was able to do missions with guild members, she has already done one with her team leader, so it was going to be good fun to do one with the other team member. Aerwyna didn’t know them all that well, but she was sure that she was going to know the little girl more after this mission that they have both gone on. She was rather excited actually, even if she was to be on a boat travelling wise.

Suddenly, the mushroom was picked up by the little girl and the toadstool instantly panicked, he was a shy little mushroom, the type that wasn’t good around strangers. He was just acting in the way he was because he was undoubtedly seasick. Cowering over, Kinopio covered his face in a panic, but only uncovered his face the moment the white haired child started to talk in an ambitious-sounding manner. He was still shivering in fear, but that made him all that cuter in the eyes of Aerwyna, she tried to bite back and tried not to squeak, so instead she covered her face and acted like she was fangirling, she couldn’t help it, he was just so cute!! “S-sorry…” Kinopio apologised in his croaky voice, still shivering, even his teeth were chattering, Aerwyna would like to think that Kinopio was really improving on his shyness. “Y-yes… My name is Kinopio!” The little munchkin answered, he was slowly becoming a much calmer mushroom.

    “LAND HO!!!”

“Ah, that was quick.” Aerwyna commented as she stopped her fangirling. The girl knew Kinopio’s name… that’s strange, she never told the girl the mushrooms name before. There was more than Charlotte herself was giving out. She daren’t question it though, Aerwyna was holding a pretty big secret herself. For now though, the three had to hop off the ship and start looking for the pirates that took the item in question: the map. Then the three could start searching for that treasure! It was going to be fun, mermaids like her always loved treasure, it wasn’t that common though since they would have to wait for it to be dumped into the sea.

“Shall we go?? The captain might rant on us again about how he can’t let the pirates have it?? And I would prefer if Kinopio didn’t get… well… sick.”

Child's first treasure Empty Re: Child's first treasure

Post by Charlotte 17th February 2017, 12:11 pm

The little creature was scared of little Charlotte. But there truly was no reason at all to be like that. After all, the pale witch didn't even have any proper offensive spells in her arsenal! And even if she had them, she would probably never use them on her own. She was far too much of a gentle soul, to a fault even. Yes, surely to a fault. Whenever violence would appear around her, she would just shut down, close her eyes and cover her ears. As some would say: See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil. She was ignorant to the state of this world and presence of death. It was her greatest fault of all, but there was nothing she or anyone else could do about it. It was also one of many reasons why she was in this team and not any other. Even though she was a witch, she was far from what you would call strong, or even helpful. Although she always tried her best! And only few people were witnesses to her true power so far. People that were not present in the guild of Black Rose.

"Whatever are you apologizing for? You did nothing wrong at all, Mister Kinopio."

In the end, she assumed that it was a he, given his name sounding at least somewhat masculine. Placing her hand on the mushroom's cap, the young girl would try to pat it gently. She didn't really know if it was part of his head and if he would feel it, but she did so anyway. And as the ship stopped, she did her best to not fall over with the cute creature in her hands, that would not be exactly the best. Aerwyna spoke out and they all decided it was probably about time they got out and started exploring this mysterious island! Apparently there were many legends about it, and how it got it's name. Though the young girl didn't exactly have enough time to read about them all beforehand, so she knew very little. But she nodded and started walking towards the ladder that would get them to the ground. However, she stopped right in front of it as she realized something. Placing the mushroom back on the ground, she smiled.

"Pardon me, Mister Kinopio. It will be but a moment!"

With her hands now completely free, she removed her shoes first and then started removing her thigh high socks. Even though this island was mostly very rocky, the beaches had at least some sand on them. And with water so close by, it would be probably best like this! With a smile, she looked back at the mushroom, trying to figure out if he wanted to be picked up again.

In scotland, ye ken = you know xD
Kinopio was stuck in the girl's hands, she really was a friendly thing for Kinopio to act in the way he was, usually, if it was in anyone else's hands except hers and Gala’s, he would try to jump off and make a run for it. With Charlotte though, he didn’t. Probably because Charlotte is a little girl and comforted him by saying her friendly words, which relieved Aerwyna greatly, she was such a pure young soul, a very young one, but a pure one at that. She felt her motherly instincts crawl all over the white haired bairn and even though she didn’t want to pour out all her motherly love across the girl, she kept the idea on the bench and kept her cool… she was a dragonslayer, a princess too, and a mermaid. She didn’t want to dip her spoon into some sugar to give the girl some love. What if she was found?? She had the same question in her head when she first started to fall for Gala… maybe she was finally getting used to having relationships out of the water?? One can hope!

Kinopio’s fears quelled down the moment he was told that he did absolutely nothing wrong. Even had mister at the start. She was very polite and kind in the eyes of the mushroom head and he started to smile softly as he was patted on the head, he started to like Charlotte already! The patting was very comforting indeed, and he wanted it more and more. Maybe he should ask Aerwyna to pat his head more!

Soon the ship stopped, and the mermaid princess seen Charlotte place the mushroom pet down as she took off her shoes and her socks. Aerwyna was slightly jealous, she knew fine well that she couldn’t really do such a thing otherwise she would turn into a mermaid, goddamnit, why is it so hard to be a mermaid! She wanted to do human things in the water, not mermaid-y things!

After Charlotte performed the deed, she looked back to Kinopio as he placed his hands in the air like a cat would, it was as if he was demanding to be held in Charlotte’s tiny arms once more. Meanwhile, Aerwyna would let them sort themselves out, she had to speak to the captain of the ship before leaving the ship, maybe she can get a clearer idea on who they were really after. It took a few seconds but Aerwyna finally spotted the captain and grabbed his attention by calling out the very important words which involved his ranking.

“I do believe you haven’t told me which pirates took the map, care to tell me??”

“Sorry, lassie!” The captain called out in a scottish accent. “I dinnae know who they were, but I’m sure ye will get mah bloody map back, aye?? Ye ken, you seem capable enough for a lassie your age. In fact, you still look like a wee bairn to me! Even the lassie over there!”

Oh god, Aerwyna didn’t understand a word he was saying, the accent was so different! She struggled to understand him the first time!

Child's first treasure Empty Re: Child's first treasure

Post by Charlotte 17th February 2017, 4:48 pm

So the cute little mushroom was indeed getting used to the pale witch. That was good! As Charlotte saw the gesture, she chuckled for a bit before grabbing the little creature with both of her arms, turning it around and then pressing it's beck against her belly, embracing him in this fashion like children often hug their plushy toys when they hold them. But as she looked around, she quickly realized that her partner was gone to the other part of the ship. She had thought that they were leaving together, which made her slightly confused now. She even prepared herself to jump into shallow water by removing certain pieces of her attire! Well, she didn't want to leave the princess-like girl behind, that was for sure! So she turned around and looked down at the mushroom to make sure he was in at least somewhat comfortable position. But she figured out he would be fine as long as he would be in her warm and welcoming hug, so hopefully that was indeed the case. Still, she had to talk to him regardless of his comfort level.

"The ship isn't moving anymore so you're okay, right? We should get Miss Aerwyna before we actually leave, or we could get lost!"

Stating her reason to the creature as if she was forced to explain herself, Charlotte would proceed to jog towards where the blue haired maiden was, her bare feet tapping on the rough wooden texture that was the ship's floor. And she would arrive right for the captain's speech, which was indeed something. It confused the young girl perhaps even more than her teammate, but at least she had Seth who was capable of translating his words. It was really strange however, as she understood at least few words that he said. Did that mean he was actually speaking their tongue and not a different language altogether? Perhaps life on the sea really was vastly different to the life that little Charlotte was leading. She would approach the two, now standing by Aerwyna's side.

"Mister Captain, why are you speaking partly in our language and partly in the moon runes? Seth says it's not very efficient way to communicate! Oh, Miss Aerwyna, he said I don't know who they were, but I'm sure you will get my bloody map back, right? You know, you seem capable enough for a girl of your age. In fact, you look like little kid to me! Even the girl over there! That's not a very nice thing to say to people, Mister Captain..."

This was certainly going in a very interesting direction as Charlotte did her best to repeat after the voice in her own head while also digesting the information for herself. She would probably even point to things accordingly, but was incapable of doing so because she was still holding the mushroom in her tight embrace. There was also another piece of advice that the white girl received from her puppeteer. Something about leaving this strange captain before he gets the chance to open his mouth again or close the distance between them. Making her hold on Kinopio's body stronger with one hand, she would free her other one to tuck on her partner's sleeve with somewhat worried expression now.

    "Let's head out, Miss Aerwyna..."

The sailor mumbled and fumbled about with his words the moment Charlotte said that he wasn’t a very nice captain. The captain couldn’t help with his way of speaking, but it did seem that Aerwyna didn’t understand what he was saying, so he can see why the female would look confused in the first place. Although to hear the little girl was saying it in a different voice from her own was also quite weird. Aerwyna never questioned it though, she would assume her voice would be weird when she read certain things, since she cannot read most things. She would like to think that she was improving as much as she was in the way of a human, but she knows fine well that she has a long way to go before she would consider herself as someone who could pass by for a human. She still smelt like a fish, although it is probably not noticeable here since they are out to sea.

Aerwyna seen the captain quickly apologise with a little sweatdrop on his head before the mermaid princess heeded Charlotte’s tugging motion and words before nodding. “Yes, Charlotte, let’s go. We will get the map if we leave the ship, I am sure.” Even though the captain was a tad mean with his words, Aerwyna didn’t retaliate in such a way. Instead, she just bowed down like she was a butler, thanking him for the ride and sauntered off. “Are we ready for our adventure?!” She asked Kinopio and Charlotte. She may be the newest member of the team, but she was the oldest one out of the three of them. She may not know how Charlotte works with her magic, but Aerwyna was a dragonslayer, a water one to be exact. She had some major power flowing through her that could conquer dragons. She needn't use the magic on any dragons yet, but thanks to Juturna, she was able to use a magic that she didn’t think such mermaids could hold in the first place.

“Yes, Aerwyna!” Kinopio answered, croaking out his voice as always with a little determination.

Turning around while on the land, Aerwyna was checking throughout all her surroundings. Maybe there was something that could assist her and the white haired female, considering Kinopio couldn’t fight at all. Plus, there could be something that could be of use to the female’s discretion.

In the end, the captain apologized and that was good. It made the pale girl smile at him again and nod ever so slightly. Even if the man was little bit rough with his words, it did not automatically make him into a villain. Sailors always had this little ragged look about them that one such as Charlotte would usually connect with people of evil intents, but this one was just fine! And she knew that now, so there would be no more problems. Though she could not remain for much longer and followed her partner towards the front of the fish as she nodded to her as well about the mention of a map. They first had to find that and only then they could start searching for the treasure... it sounded like a tedious process, but that was also where the adventure lied. For if this was too simple, then it would be no fun at all! And the little white witch was here exactly to have at least some fun!

"Yes, Miss Aerwyna! Let us begin this treasure hunting adventure!"

Just like Kinopio, she would set on her bright smile and ignite the flames of excitement and determination in her eyes as she spoke out loud. Not only was she eager to find the treasure in sand, she also wanted to know what would be inside of it. Well, she had a pretty solid idea that it would be a whole bunch of jewels. But surely the pirates or whoever left it there was more creative than that! Ancient artifacts and the like was what she had in mind, perhaps a love potion or something similar to that. Objects like that would make it even more important and exciting, which was exactly what she desired. Going right behind Aerwyna, she would look to the side. And still holding the mushroom in her hands, she would slowly enter the water. Only to wet her feet up to her knees, testing it's temperature. And since the sun was shining, it was quite warm and pleasant!

"Miss Aerwyna! The water is very pleasant, won't you join me for a moment?"

She asked politely, hoping for a positive answer. Apparently she got distracted rather easily, but she never was this close to any sea or ocean! So this whole thing was completely new experience for the young girl, something that you surely couldn't deny her just like that, right? Even Seth was sitting silent, not saying that she should remain or leave the water. So for now, she was at least somewhat free to be doing whatever she wanted. And there were no pirates in sight either so far, surely there was no harm in having little fun.

As much as Aerwyna wanted to join the little girl, she didn’t want to reveal who she truly was. She wasn’t sure that the female knew that the effects happened immediately, but whatever, all she knows was that she would be turning into a mermaid if she wandered into the sea, even with her boots, the water could potentially soak into the shoes and then BAM! Bye bye human Aerwyna, hello mermaid Aerwyna! That was something that the mermaid princess was sure that she didn’t really want. How would Charlotte even react to that?? She was sure that she wouldn’t react very well to the whole thing since she was probably used to seeing the blue haired female as a human and hot a fish.

Aerwyna looked to the white haired girl and shook her head eventually, giving it a couple of thoughts before she spoke up. “I am so sorry sweetie, but I do not do well in water.” She admitted. “Even walking in it can give me dire effects, which I do not prefer to speak of. I do sincerely hope you forgive me.” Aerwyna finished explaining and smiled softly towards the young girl. She seemed to have Kinopio in her hands still, which was always good, especially since the mushroom was a fickle little mushroom who deserved nothing more than friends and happiness.

Suddenly, while the girls were still mushing about, some noises could be heard and it instantly perked up Aerwyna’s interests, who cocked up a brow quite inquisitively. Just what was that noise?? She didn’t understand it, but she knew that she was able to understand that it didn’t smell like Charlotte, or of mushrooms like Kinopio smelt like all the time. It didn’t sound like little girls giggling in the sea as they splashed around either… Was it… them?? Was it the pirates that the Scottish sounding sailor warned them about??

“Charlotte, get behind me and keep Kinopio near you..” Aerwyna commanded as she took charge in taking care of the little girl. She didn’t know just how powerful Charlotte truly was, but Aerwyna also knew that she was the much older one, and thus felt a strong need to protect the little girl, as if she was her own mother. “We got some company, and i don’t think it’s the friendly kind either… no more time for fun.”

Aerwyna got increasingly worried as more and more rustling could be heard… just what was it?? She had no idea how to explain, but she was sure all will be revealed in a few moments. “I’ll protect you if something happens.”

Child's first treasure Empty Re: Child's first treasure

Post by Charlotte 22nd February 2017, 3:27 pm

The little pale witch continued walking about in the water little bit more, feeling the sand go between her toes and stones massage her soles. But it was not too long before her blue haired companion called out, informing the girl of the unfortunate truth. But there was probably something that Aerywa failed to foresee. While she was worried about the young one forgiving her for not being able to enter the water, Charlotte got rather worried about the young female herself. When someone told her that there would be negative effects to anything at all, that was just her natural response! Who would not be worried about their friends and peers after all? The girl was oblivious to many things, hate and dislike being among them. So she instantly assumed that everyone liked everyone and that was it. Because that was how she felt pretty much all the time towards others, quickly coming to like them indifferently. That kind of innocence was hard to come by these days. But it was also harmful to the little girl, making her very vulnerable to the outside world that was not as kind as she thought it to be.

I am so sorry Miss Aerwyna, I did not realize! It mus be terrible, being allergic to water like that. I can't imagine going through that every day, I'm sorry...

Quickly dashing out of the clear water's surface, forming ripples and waves behind her, the girl would approach Aerwyna faster than ever before while still holding the little mushroom in her hands. With her pure mind, she simply imagined the most likely scenario that would fit what she just heard. It also shifted her thoughts on imagining how could possible this lady drink water in order to even survive! She started regretting going on this job like this, as it was probably causing harm like that to others. But before she could feel any more guilty, something happened. Just as her partner requested, she hid behind the princess like girl, trying to fit her small figure behind her's. What was going on? She had no idea. Once again, her simple mind showed it's weakness. She would never suspect that others would attack the due at any point. She knew not what to do. She simply made her hold on Kinopio tighter as her mind started to shut down slowly, dark thoughts corrupting the innocence of those who were oblivious. And the air grew saturated with magical energies of the holy kind. And once more, Seth grew interested in the situation and how it would unfold. And they were ready to activate their own abilities as well if things were to go south.

    Duration: 2 post

    Description:
Letting water surround (while not touching) her arms, Aerwyna’s arms will support what seems to be swords that are attached from her shoulders, this isn’t take over because her arms don’t become swords, but her arms do become covered in water which extends for 10m away from the moment the water leaves the hand area. These swords can deal half 25% increased melee damage with every slice she makes.
    Strengths:
Length - 10m is pretty long for blades, meaning Aerwyna doesn’t have to be near the enemy to use them
Mermaid form - during the spell, Aerwyna won’t turn into a mermaid, only when the spell ends, she would
    Weaknesses:
Usage - Aerwyna cannot pick anything up or use her arms apart from slicing while the spell is cast
Splashing - When the spell ends, the water will land on her arms and make them sopping wet, turning her into a mermaid
Allies - allies could be in the way and they would get hit instead
Limitation - Aerwyna cannot bend her arms
    NOTES:
Hearing Charlotte apologise about not knowing that she was allergic to the substance got her steadily worried, Charlotte really didn’t anything about Aerwyna’s mermaid form at all, and even though it quelled her worries in the first place, it kind of worried her too, what if Charlotte found out?? That would be indeed too much for the white haired girl to bear, well, that's what Aerwyna thought anyway, she really didn’t know the white haired female all too well, except that she was already close to Kinopio and that they were in a team together, not to mention that she had the mannerisms of a polite adult who was going to a job interview. “Don’t be sorry!” Aerwyna smiled softly and shrugged her shoulders ever so happily. “However, I am not allergic, it is somethi-”

Her speech was cut off by the rustling, and soon, the mermaid princess was forcing the girl to be right by her side incase something happened. She would feel bad if Charlotte died or something. It was time to fight! With this change of atmosphere, Aerwyna took out her sword and she got herself ready for the battle that has been set up for her.

It was 2 pirates, and they seemed to have some lovely problems for the mermaid princess… Aerwyna had no idea what to do, they seemed much stronger and they held a ton of hammers… this was clearly going to be a problem, yet Aerwyna didn’t want to prepare herself to lose her mermaid form… fuck it, she had to! It was either that or nothing at all!

The first enemy threw their hammer, and Aerwyna got into her sword stance and then chucked the hammer back with her sword as if it was a baseball game, the hammer threw itself back to the pirate and he was conked on the head, success, Aerwyna just had to do this! Another hammer was thrown by the same pirate that was very confused, but Aerwyna simply batted that one away too, hitting that very same pirate, another CONK to the head.

Nah, her weapon was going to break soon… it was time a different tactic. Letting water completely envelop her arms, swords suddenly surrounded both of her arms, sharp and pointy, and not to mention very long, this wasn’t the greatest spell that the mermaid princess had to offer, but she was sure that it would work. Her swords were completely shown now and she dived straight at the enemy, preventing the use of even more hammers. Meanwhile, her primary weapon was on the floor…

Aerwyna quickly dispatched them with her swords, they couldn’t do anything because they were hammer throwers and the mermaid princess slashed the both of them before they ran away in fear…

“Dang, what a bunch of cowards.” Aerwyna sighed softly as she watched them scream their way into oblivion. “Well, that’s enough of that, oh, don’t worry if you are wondering why I can handle water, I am a dragonslayer, and the water isn’t allergic… the water just changes the way I look… dramatically, let's keep it that way. Anyway, we should continue.”

Child's first treasure Empty Re: Child's first treasure

Post by Charlotte 24th February 2017, 4:16 pm

Well, this was most strange. It appeared that Miss Aerwyna wanted to say something about her tragic allergy when she was suddenly interrupted. Two seemingly rude gentlemen with strange tools appeared from the bushes and looked rather mean at the two maidens. What in the world did they want? Were they friendly or not? Her partner suddenly started forcing the young pale witch to her side for some odd reason. Did they need to be this close to one another for some reason? If that was the case, she started holding tighter on the mushroom in her hands, making sure he would be close to his owner as well! And then the whole show started with the men starting to throw their tools for reasons unknown to the young one. But she certainly observed it all, especially the moments when the princess-like girl managed to repel the hunks of metal and redirect them back at the strangers. Oh, now Charlotte finally understood! This was a game of sorts! Though that made it a bit unfortunate as she herself did not know the rules in the slightest.

Thankfully, Aerwyna seemed to know them just fine. That was probably why she wanted her to be this close, it was part of the game itself. Somehow, that got the young girl quite excited for this whole treasure chase, as she did not expect that it would be filled with such joyful experience as well. Even with the second hammer, the water lady managed to score rather well and probably bring the team Bravado into lead, beating the two strangers with ease. But there was another phase to the game, one where her partner would use her magic and summon water that would dance around to her whim. It was truly impressive, something like that! The only problem was that she started charging forward, leaving Charlotte and Kinopie behind. That scared the girl quite a bit, as it probably was against the rules. With eyes wide open, she did her best to run forward and catch up with her current leader. Though her run was much, much slower than one of others. Thankfully, it appeared that they still won and the defeated team had to leave this place.

"That was amazing, Miss Aerwyna! Why didn't you tell me we would be playing a game while searching for the treasure? Oh.. is the treasure itself part of the game?! Ah, and... do you transform into a dragon when you touch water, since you have magic that involves them?"

Luckily, everything was quickly over and done with, and it was clear in her partner's reaction that she was most impressed with the way Aerwyna handled the whole situation. She wasn’t surprised though, she did spurt out gigantic swords that looked so unrealistic in so many ways. This didn’t change Aerwyna however, it will only change her when the spell finishes, that will be when Charlotte finds out just how… strange Aerwyna really was, she wouldn’t change into a dragon at all, although she was a dragon slayer. She knew that being a mermaid made the whole dragonslaying thing completely strange and unusual, but she was happy with the magic that she can use, so long as it doesn’t harm her and as long as she harms others the least as she possibly can, considering she doesn’t know how much the others can take when it comes to this type of magic, it must be pretty common though?? She has met some other dragonslayers in her time while on the land after all.

Crouching down to Charlotte’s height, she ruffled the girl's hair before patting Kinopio’s mushroom head with the blunt part of her swords, of course it was gentle because she didn’t want to hurt them... Kinopio was really getting comfortable in the girl's hands, unfortunately, she would have something else to carry around with her soon enough, not that it mattered. Aerwyna did decide one thing though, she wanted to teach Charlotte to fight?? She doesn’t know if the white haired female was able to cope with such a thing, but she wanted to help Charlotte in many ways, more than one, to be honest.

“No, no. Finding the treasure is the game.” Aerwyna answered in reply to the female's first question… “As for the other question. I might aswell come out with it, I turn into a mermaid when I make contact with water. However, this will only turn me into a mermaid soon as the blades don't touch me.” Aerwyna smiled softly as she tilted her head, she doesn’t know how she will make it across while in mermaid form while being uncomfortable, but she does have a few things up her sleeve to help her travel across the land while being mermaid form.

Standing up finally, the mermaid princess sighed softly as she bit her lower lip, “Do you have any magic??” The female asked as she walked forward slightly. “Actually, I am sure I will find out sooner or later, come on. We should continue to explore, shouldn’t we??”

Post by Charlotte 28th February 2017, 2:12 pm

The girl was suddenly played with by Aerwyna's hand, ruffling through her long and fluffy hair. It was a strange, odd feeling that she had never felt in her whole life before. One that caused several different emotions to meld into one, a chaotic energy that would jolt through her entire body. And yet, it felt pleasant. The girl didn't mind it at all. In fact, she almost wanted more. But something like that would be far too greedy from her. She was a modest little witch who would accept what came her way, but she would never ask for more. She was raised that way and it would probably remain like that as well, unless someone would get close to her. But she was only barely getting to know everyone in her guild! It would take a lot of time still for her to even properly trust others with her little secrets! Secrets of a young girl that was abandoned because of her powers, abilities that warped reality itself and managed to gain an interest of a being high above everyone else. A being that was her puppeteer and she herself did not know much about them.

But who knows what the future will bring. For now, she only opened her eyes and looked up at the lady in front of her. At first, she did not even realize that she closed her eyes when her head got rubbed. Was it because of the sudden unknown sensation? Perhaps. There was really no need to be even thinking about it as the sensation was now long gone. Perhaps she would get to feel it again in the future and then she could analyze it a bit better. Kinopio was the one who was probably feeling it right now as well, though his majestic cap was touched by one of the water swords rather than the lady's hand. It made the young girl wonder if it felt any different. It was probably more wet! Or at least little moist because of how water was. And with the world currently focusing on water, Aerwyna spoke up, revealing an interesting secret that she was keeping. But was it something horrible and dark? A curse that you have to keep hidden from the word in order to not be hunted down? Not in the slightest?

"Mermaid? As in a beautiful maiden that possesses fish's lower body half and has the most beautiful songs in the entire world? Capable of breathing beneath water's surface and living in the pretties of kingdoms made out of giant underwater mushrooms and pretty glowing flowers? That is amazing, Miss Aerwyna!"

It was beyond clear that the little white witch was excited by these news. She had never seen an actual mermaid, which was rather obvious. She only read about them in many different story books that she possessed and they always managed to capture her utmost interest. The girl who wished for eternal adventure and mysterious beings surrounding her. It was almost like one of her dreams was becoming real in front of her very eyes! Well... not quite yet, as her partner still had to touch the water in order to turn. Charlotte would be lying if she said that she didn't want to see it all. But at the same time, she didn't want to sound rude or forceful. After all, that fact was a secret for a good reason, correct? Then there was also a question of her own magic, at which the girl assumed a victorious position.

"I've learned to see memories! But it doesn't always work on other people it seems. I guess I still have a lot to learn!"

She was excited still! While she had no actual combat skills that she would know of, she had at least something. And that was worth knowing, right? Aerwyna suggested that they should continue exploring now, but there was something odd happening right now. The young pale witch noticed a shadow that was slowly growing larger in the distance, which made her tuck onto her partner's sleeves again as she held the mushroom in only one of her hands for a moment.

"Miss Aerwyna, another contestant is coming! I think he wants to challenge you again!"

Inhaling a lot of air to expand her lung capacity, Aerwyna will let out a wail which extends 25m away from the user, Aerwyna’s roar will sound just like a dolphin's and afterwards Aerwyna will spout out a barrage of water towards her enemy for C ranked ranked damage. This will also knock the user back by 10m if they are near the user due to the pressure of the water that will be spouting out of Aerwyna’s mouth.
    Strengths:
Knockback - this knockbacks the enemy by 10m, this is useful if melee attacks are going to be performed on her.
    Weaknesses:
Predictable - this is pretty predictable since Aerwyna will sound like a dolphin before she attacks
Vulnerable - she will be vulnerable from behind because the spell deals with the front
Allies - allies could be in the way and they would get hit instead.
    NOTES:
The reaction that came out of the little mouth was the most interesting one. She didn’t expect the little girl to think it was all amazing, it probably was because she was young however. Aerwyna was the same when she ran away from the kingdom that kept her captive, she wondered what the land was well and truly like before she ran away to do her own little thing. It wasn’t even because of anything that was threatening her life though. It was because she was well and truly bored with the lifestyle that she was forced to live. “Well, maybe one day, I can take you down to see what it looks like under the sea. It would be some time before that can happen, however. That might be a long time to go, so don't expect it to happen anytime soon.” Aerwyna admitted as she looked to the side. She wasn’t sure if she actually wanted to bring Charlotte to the world of the sea, but if she kept her safe, then she seen no issue with it.

“See memories… huh…” Aerwyna pondered on for a bit, oh crap… this was dangerous. If the little girl found out she was a princess, there was no telling what could happen. As harmless as the girl is, the femme fatale was simply too worried to let the secret out regardless. It was a pretty dangerous thing to know, after all. “As long as you don’t learn stuff you aren’t meant to learn, then I guess it’s pretty cool to have.” She admitted.

Suddenly, while looking around, Aerwyna felt more tugs from the little girl as she said that another contestant was coming. Oh god, more enemies was the last thing she needed, the water deformed itself at the completely wrong time and that was when the water splashed itself on the girl's arms, Aerwyna’s body began to change dramatically, her feet conjoined together and turned to scales, her skin colour changed and even her eyes changed colour, she was in a much different form from her human form, and she hated it, how the hell did Gala accept her mermaid form, she didn’t know herself. On top of the mermaid, clothes were piled on top of her, and in her had was her normal sword, she had to use it again, boooooo.

“C-crap…” The mermaid princess cursed under her breath. She had to fight while in mermaid form. What’s worse, was the fact that it was similar looking pirates from last time, that was a major issue for the mermaid princess. She cannot fight as well as the mermaid knights that were trained to fight, the most she had in her arsenal was her dragon slaying magic. “Hello!” She exclaimed as the two pirates approached, ready to throw their hammers once more. Aerwyna was not having much of it however and she flopped away from the clothing that performed a dog pile on her, much like a magikarp would on a bad day. She still had some fighting skills that can be used while in mermaid form, luckily, this was only going to be until she can turn back into a human.

Inhaling in a lot of air, the mermaid princess let out a wail which was reminiscent of a dolphins before releasing a cannon of water in front of the enemy which seemed to have deal some sort of damage to them. Unfortunately, Aerwyna will need to do much more in order to take both of them out and so she flopped towards them both quickly before they could throw their hammers and bit into one of their legs. Very interesting way to fight indeed from the mermaid princess herself.

Child's first treasure Empty Re: Child's first treasure

Post by Charlotte 2nd March 2017, 3:45 pm

Miss Aerwyna would one day take Charlotte to the underwater world of beauty? The girl's eyes literally blazed in that moment, every single word that she heard burrowing into her skull so that she would never, ever forget! Oh, this was so exciting that she had problems containing herself! In fact, her body started shaking a little bit because of how much she wanted to jump into the air and wave her arms around in pure joy. Unfortunately, something like that would probably not be the very best for this situation, so she did her very best to remain as calm as was humanly possible for her right now. She was raised in such a way that she should never bother those around her with unnecessary things. And expressing her joy like that would surely be of that very type, she would annoy her partner and even the mushroom that she was holding to the point where they would hate her forever for it. She was sure of that fact and finally managed to stop all of her reactions and simply exhale, smiling back instead. And it was one of the warmest smiles she ever gave, one that could compare to the sun itself! Only it did not burn at all when looked at.

"Thank you, Miss Aerwyna! I'll be sure to wait patiently for the day when you decide to take me there! I'm sure it will be as exciting or even more than this treasure hunt!"

She spoke in delight. Though her partner also mentioned something little strange about the magic she wielded. Learning stuff that she wasn't meant to learn? Whatever could that mean? The poor young witch wasn't quite sure what was meant by all of that, for she believed that everything was to be learned eventually. A natural way forward for living beings was to learn things after all. But then the girl got an idea. And her pale face suddenly went completely tomato red as she realized it. Dirty secrets! If someone finished eating their lunch and then they would throw the plate into a garbage bin because they weren't quite thinking! Embarrassing mistakes like that were surely what the mermaid lady meant when she said that Charlotte should not learn of certain things! Suddenly she felt rather sorry for even having a spell like that, not that she had much control over it.

She regained her composure only when the other contestants came. And suddenly, something most peculiar happened. As Miss Aerwyna got distracted, the water touched her and the thing she described in fact played out right in front of her eyes. Her lower half indeed turned into one that looked like a wish! Though that was definitely not the only change, as many other things also happened. It was an unfortunate timing, yes. But it also looked rather amazing, which excited the young pale witch even in the moments when they were approached by enemies.

"That is amazing, Miss Aerwyna! You look beautiful. Wah-!"

But there was no time for talking as the girl released an attack that would wash over the pirates. However, they still stood afterwards and were ready to continue this strange game of unknown rules, even though their team was clearly having trouble right now! That was so unfair, it made Charlotte slightly mad. Though even that was quickly replaced by amazement as she watched the mermaid hop towards the brutes and start biting them in rather savage manner. But they were also ready with their hammers and that was not good. The young girl would quickly run up to them and stand in front of Aerwyna for a moment as she spoke out loud.

    "No, you mustn't--"

She did not finish. Only blood now coated the sand and Aerwyna's tail as the young girl slowly fell to the ground, good half of her head caved in by the hammer that hit her instead of the fish lady who was it's intended target. And the world went silent, at least until few moments. The air filled with intense magical energy, and almost as if the reality itself was breaking apart, tears started happening all around them as if they were nothing more than image inside of badly working old television. And suddenly, female voice would start announcing out of nowhere, saying the following: "Designated puppet confirmed dead before expiration date. Allowing access to rewind point #7. The puppeteer will now take full control to secure the puppet's well being."

The voice spoke directly to their minds as Charlotte suddenly started raising into the air, as if someone was levitating her. And then everything went white. At least for a while. Their gazes would return soon enough as the young girl stood there, smiling and with closed eyes as if nothing bad had happened. The pirates quickly took a step back in confusion, as even all of the blood was now gone. And then she opened her eyes. Instead of pure white, they were now shining with terrific gold. Her smile uncanny, her hands would not be coated in black crystal-like blades as she suddenly lunged forward towards one of the pirates, cutting his throat open before he could even react. The other one quickly panicked and tried to swing his hammer. But alas, he was stopped by a tail made out of the same crystals wrapping itself around the weapon and tearing it out of his hands. He tried to run away too, but it was all useless. The tail quickly swung again and cut clear through his leg, making him fall onto the ground. The gold eyes girl stood over him, smiling uncannily as the tail beared over her shoulder. And with one simple lunge, his life was no more as well. Only one single look towards the mermaid was given afterwards.

"I presume you are quite alright, yes?"

Everything happened so fast while Aerwyna was biting on one of the pirates shoulders in an un-elegant manner. Of course, this affected the mermaid princess somewhat, but she quite enjoyed it at the same time… she made her own decision to do this, it was clear she wasn’t being dependent, but becoming more independent within herself. She was enjoying nibbling and chewing on the man's leg when suddenly, the sound of a head getting conked by a hammer surfaced, it caused the water dragon slayer to look to the side in shock and stopped biting… did she just try to save Aerwyna and got herself hurt instead?? No… no… She didn’t want Charlotte to be dead because of her, and it was all her fault… “No… Charlotte…!” The girl cried out in emotional pain. Only stopping when a female voice called out of nowhere, announcing she was a puppet… well, it looks like there's more to her than there is too, although Aerwyna didn’t question that as Aerwyna was hiding something pretty big herself.

Aerwyna’s skin turned drier and drier as the ‘rewind’ continued, with the puppet girl in the air and off the land. Aerwyna’s skin and scales returned to human, she gained legs again, and she got back her lavish short, blue hair that identified who Aerywna was as a human and not a mermaid, every quality about her looked human now. Which, to say the least, Aerwyna was grateful for, considering Aerwyna doesn’t want to show off she was a mermaid all the time. There was only one problem now… Aerwyna was in her underwear… that was never really good for the water mage. She needed to find her clothes before anything else of the sort happened perverse-wise.

Taking the opportunity she had while everything was going on, Aerwyna quickly scrambled around and picked up the clothes that belonged to her before placing them on quickly, she couldn’t see what was going on, but it was clear that something strange was happening that was way beyond the mages comprehension. This was indeed going to be a strange mission, but a fantastical one at that. Looks like she was going in it now, there was no going back at all.

Standing up, she looked to the puppet, who now had a different voice. She wondered where the little girl had gone, and it looks like there did need to be one question asked before she was able to understand anything, she stated that she wasn’t going to. But there was no going back now, especially if this wasn’t Charlotte. “Yeah…” Aerwyna answered the strange sounding Charlotte. “But Charlotte… your voice has changed… is everything okay?? I am sorry I couldn’t protect you. I know I am not that great at fighting yet, but I will protect you more next time. I promise.”

Child's first treasure Empty Re: Child's first treasure

The pirates were dead. And so was Charlotte technically. Aerwyna witnessed all of it, as the rewind power deliberately did not affect her. While the young white witch certainly had a goal in mind with this adventure, Seth had their own destination they wished to pursue. And they saw this very moment as a perfect chance, one that they should not let just slip by untouched. While they did not believe a story should always end when a certain point is reached, there was without a doubt a moment the were headed towards. And in order to attain it all, the young pale girl would require all of her powers. But the blood of mighty witch that tainted her legacy with darkness was still lying dormant, nearly unusable. This still allowed her to read memories of people and objects, or even alter emotional status of certain individuals. But she was destined for so much more! With the power that lied inside of her, she could bring about the end of any world in itself. And while that would sound rather ridiculous to some, it was nothing but the truth. After all, Seth was the puppeteer, one in control of this story. And they could continue writing in in whatever way they would find most entertaining.

The girl with golden eyes would look at the skies for a moment. They were pure grey. Not a single cloud, nor sun or the moon. Just grey, the mixture white and black. But as the mermaid princess spoke up, Seth would direct their gaze at her once more with that uncanny smile displayed on Charlotte's body. It was quite entertaining, watching the young maiden who desperately tried to cover her bare body and then watch everything in utter confusion. Mortal minds could sometimes be so fragile, unable to grasp the reality right in front of them. They were prone to asking questions while the truth ran away by them. But at least she did indeed notice that Charlotte was not quite the same as she was before the hammer struct her head and shattered the squishy flesh into many, many pieces. She would slowly start walking towards the blue haired girl, her expression completely still and unchanging. And once she would be perhaps little uncomfortably close, she would lead in a little and gaze directly into those blue orbs with her own, though they were not made out of gold instead of pure white. And to Aerwyna's earlier remark, the girl's voice wasn't actually different. It was exactly the way, rather, the way Seth spoke through their puppet was different. The voice was devoid of any and all emotion, it was precise and perfect, almost like a voice of dead machine.

"Of course you are alright. After all, we were the ones who wrote this story in the first place. Art thou surprised? You are reacting quite calmly given the situation. If not for our power, Charlotte would be dead and gone forever. Nothing you could do to bring her back into the world of living. Or perhaps it is that you see this body standing up and talking that gives you such a reassurance? It could also be that you merely do not fully comprehend the concept of life and death just yet. It seems like mortal minds have to experience loss first hand before they can properly understand."

Saying all of that, the puppet would look into the skies once more, that smile of her growing wider. There was something... strange going on. No, strange would not even behind to describe it. A vortex of holy energy was gathering on the grey canvas above their heads as a futuristic, yet simple looking building started descending from it's center, inching it's way towards the ground ever so slowly. A skyscraper that was upside down, as if heaves were the Earth and the other way around. The reality around them was starting to slowly break apart as the sand beneath their feet turned pure white and the sea around the island was now tinted with unsettling pink. Everything that the mermaid princess knew would be gone in mere moments as the landscape around them shifted mercilessly, painting an entirely new sight, one that no sharp mind would ever forget. Stone and dirt turned into solid iron, sand into sugar and sea into liquefied meat. Tall buildings of design most simple, all colored pure white, would rise around them and cast shadow onto the tiny beings. But there was no further life here at all. Or perhaps there was? For those of greater insight, another living being would reveal itself. A small pirate with a big name, Blackstache would suddenly find himself nearby in this strange world as well.

"Finally, in state of great peril, the power activated itself at last. Welcome to the realm of iron and meat. It's simplistic design shall help us locate the treasure so that we may end this fruitless journey as soon as time allows us. And it will help us eliminate this nuisance as well."

The girl started to talk, but they spoke weirdly, as if they were not Charlotte anymore, while this was still being questioned by the mermaid princess, Aerwyna had to think fast about the responses she would have to give. This was probably the strangest encounter she has had yet in the lands of Fiore. The world was indeed full of strange magic and unnatural occurrences. She was not used to such a thing at all…

“For your information, my mother is dead. She has died a long time ago.” Aerwyna started as she sighed softly. “I am probably calm because what is happening hasn’t sunk into me yet in actuality, it most likely won’t because of the type of person I am. By the way, I was about to cry until you… stood up…” Aerwyna didn’t really know any other way to say it, she was probably being a bit bold with the way she was going, but she can’t help it. How should one react when someone dies in front of your eyes and is then given a new lease of light right in front of them very same eyes. It really piqued the interest of the mermaid princess, but it protruded her inner ability to understand. Sometimes… there will always be things that she may never understand at all… but that was how life went now and then and there was nothing that Aerwyna could really do to deal with it in all honesty.

“I understand…” Aerwyna really didn’t, but she decided to roll with it because why not?? There was surely a few things that the two leading ladies could possibly do, although right now, the two of them should focus on the task at hand, finding treasure can be a difficult thing after all and Aerwyna wanted to get it over and done with as quick as possible, lots of strange things have happened already and it was clear that Aerwyna really wasn’t used to this world after all…

    “Let’s go.”

    Spawning the boss

Seth possessing her puppets body could only sigh with a smile. In a sense, this was their ultimate destiny. What were dolls made for? They were but playthings for their puppeteers. So the godly being could do whatever they wanted with little Charlotte. They could steal her body and live in it for eons to come. But that was not the story they wrote at all. The scene that was playing out right now was but a part of bigger picture, the whole plot that was eventually going to play out. That was Seth's desire. To continue it all and reach the magnum opus one day. But for now, they could only hold a simple conversation and find the treasure. An experience that could become invaluable to both girls currently present.

"We do not require to know information like that. Save it for Charlotte who is interested in stories if those around her much more. We have but one desire and that is the future of White and Black, melding into Chaos of this world. The story that we prepared for our future."

In a sense, everyone was nothing more than a puppet. A world that Seth lived in was much different from Earthland and any other dimension that these 'characters' could visit. To them, this was nothing more than a fun game. And yet, their story was fairly contained. They did not wish to affect everyone around them. It was a humble and unnoticeable story. At least for now, until an outside interference would gain interest in it all and join. Universe was unpredictable like that. But for now, they should simply focus on what was happening right in front of them. The world changing until there was nothing left of the original. The air was filled white, almost completely transparent smoke, sand transformed into sugar and earth into solid iron. Simplistic white skyscrapers towered in the horizont and an entire city was upside down in the skies, coming out of a strange vortex of clouds. The seas were no longer made out of water, but liquid meat as nothing remained of the ship that they arrived in. This was the world of Meat and Iron.

"You appear to be rather calm with the transformation that has happened around us as well. I command you for that, mortal one. Let us finish this business before this new world consumes us whole."

Seth was not exactly interested in rewinding too much in order to save them. So they could just finish what they came here for and leave. Returning Charlotte to her normal state should do the trick, but there was still combat to be done. Speaking of which, a loud noise could be heard as a cannon ball suddenly appeared flying through the air, nearly destroying the fragile body of young white witch. It would be lethal under normal circumstances, but the puppeteer managed to swing Charlotte's arm in time, the black crystal blade formed on it splitting the solid mass in two different projectiles that continued and caused two different explosions of sugar as they eventually hit the landscape behind them. Combat abilities of this body were still rather limited, but at least they could capture the attention of this pirate leader while Aerwyna could strike them and deal heavy damage that would not be seen coming.
