The forgotten desert, just like the name would imply there is sand as far the eye could see and there was an incredible heat. Though Kenji still wore his black robe, which was an bad idea since the sun only absorbs sunlight. Kenji walked around while wearing the hood that was a part of his black robe, though after a while Kenji got sick if the heat and undid himself of the black robe and tied it on his waist. Ugh... How much I'd like to be under an ice cold waterfall right now... Kenji said as he swiped away some sweat from his forehead. Kenji looked around though he still couldn't find the digging site. Kenji walked upon a sand hill and at the other side of it he could see the digging site, at the base of the sand hill Kenji could see a small tent probably where the archaeologist slept at during his expedition. Finally! I hope he has a cool drink! As Kenji tried to walk of the hill he tripped over a small rock that was hidden underneath the sand. Kenji tried his best to maintain his balance though he tumbled over and rolled down the sand hill. A loud crashing noise could be heard as Kenji crashed right into a Bunch of crates. Owww... Kenji oshiro reporting for duty... Kenji said in pain

While Hishi was introducing herself towards the archaeologist, Kenji was still laying between the broken crates and barrels. The contents of these crates and barrels were all packed ingredients for cooking and also some digging material. I'm glad that all these ingredients are packed, because if they weren't they would be all ruined by the sand... The digging equipment was also unharmed. Kenji let out a sigh of relief since he definitely didn't had any jewels with him to cover for broken equipment and new ingredients. Kenji was inspecting the area he crashed in, to see if there was any bottles of water. After searching for a but Kenji couldn't find it. Great... Guess I have to ask the archaeologist is he has some water for me... And a washing machine! My clothes are complete covered in sand and sweat!

Kenji could hear voices being very close by. He walked up towards the origin of the voices and saw a man standing and a woman with scarlet red hair. Ah hello! My name is Kenji Oshiro! I am here to help with digging up! Kenji said as he was busy dusting of all the sand from his body.

The man stepped up towards Kenji and shook his hand and introduced himself as Gustav Stoneleaf, the woman with red hair introduced herself Hishi Akane, since she had a Japanese name and armor Kenji assumed she told her last name first. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, mister Gustave and miss Akane! I hope we can get along with each other. Kenji said as he made a bow as a sign of politeness. By the way, mister Gustav... Do you have per any chance some water? I'm quite thirsty from my travel. Kenji said as he scratched the back of his head.

Gustav let the two into his tent, in his tent he started to explain what they are going to dig up. He first revealed a clay tablet being covered with a cloth, on the tablet there was an ancient text talking about a person who used to be a king from a land Kenji never had heard about. It seemed like Gustav already did some digging. So let me get this straight, you want us to go and help dig for a tomb that king is supposed to lay in? Kenji had a dislike on disturbing the death because of his position as a priest, though he couldn't back out now. Alright we will start digging... You ready Akane?

Kenji snatched the bottle of water out of Gustav's hand and started drinking the bottle like a madman. Thank goodness, sweet refreshing water! Kenji looked towards Gustav and Akane, he coughed. Thank you for the water mister Gustav... Kenji let out an inner grumble when Gustav confirmed the fact that they had to dig up a tomb. *sigh* Guess I have to pray for forgiveness when this is all over Kenji thought to himself.

Gustav told Kenji and Akane the instructions when they are going to dig, they had to mark the artifacts with a small white flag instead of grabbing them. The artifacts weren't that deep buried under the sand so it's easily reached with a shovel. Gustav also had an assistant out in the desert who was searching for the tomb, Kenji and Akane both had to wait for the assistant to come back. By the way mister Gustav! How are we supposed to know the locations of the artifacts, without digging aimlessly?

30 minutes later.

The assistent had finally arrived. Gustav! I have good news I found the tomb! A rather energetic said. Ah! You two must be the mages Gustav has hired... My name is Thomas Rockfield! I am Gustav's partner as long as I can remember! And who might you two be? Thomas asked the two wizards. My name is Kenji Oshiro! It's a pleasure on meeting you mister Thomas. Kenji said polite. Nice to meet you Kenji! Alright hop into my truck and we can take off! Thomas walked towards his truck. Are you ready Akane? Kenji asked.

Akane introduced herself towards Thomas. What a beautiful name miss Akane! Now of to the ruins we go! Thomas said as he drove the truck through the desert. I'm glad you two wanted to help Gustav, since this is his biggest expedition yet! Thomas told the two wizards. I have known him since college, we both studied archaeology and we ended up doing expeditions together! Thomas went in more detail about their many adventures, from temples deep in the jungle to sunken ruins, hearing these stories were kind of fascinating.

After driving for 30 minutes Thomas stopped the truck. We're here! Kenji stepped out of the truck and the only thing he saw was a sea of sand hills. Sir out of respect, but you might want to get some glasses since I can't see any ruins... Hahahaha! Don't be sorry, I expected an answer like that, you see the ruins we're searching for is an ancient Chinese tomb, they liked to bury them! Kenji sighed, without knowing where the ruins are buried Kenji took a few steps and stopped when he felt the presence of a sould. I can feel the presence of a soul right beneath me... Though it's weird... It seems like the soul is still trapped in it's body, but that's only with living creatures... We have to start digging right away! Kenji grabbed some digging tools and started digging on the spot where he felt the presence.
