Christmas Ball (Social, open to GP members & to those invited)

The ball seemed all ready, and Summer was extremely excited for it all. It wasn’t long until christmas and Summer Guiyang herself decided to take it upon herself to make a winter themed ball! The ball was going to have tons of food and drink! And it was going to be amazing! Even the decorations were going to be winter themed and christmas music was going to be all over.

On the food tables, it was outlined with an insane amount of goodies and sweet stuff with two christmas puddings that were outlined in the in the centre, there was also a couple of baked alaskas and a ton of other cakes for the members to eat. It was going to be such a good time.

On the music corner, Astrid has agreed to play some music on her violin and at the end of the show, Summer was going to give them a big fireworks show! It was going to be a good time!

Ah, the time… it was about time for the ball to begin! She couldn’t wait to see what everyone would look like! Summer was never used to being formal, but she seen it as more of a casual occasion because of it was going to be just her and the people she cared about the most at the moment: her guildmates.

Across the hallways came a rather highspeed run of a horse and its rider, wearing a chain mail sack on its back. Its rider was Shen, and he appeared quite relieved now that he returned to the guild hall again. It took a while to move all his weapons to the guild, and day after day, he’d been riding all the way to Ca-Elum to sneak out his own arsenal and return with them here in the Phoenix Mountains. His horse was obviously sweating like a river by the packing and mounting, and when the last sack was delivered, Shen leaped off Hēi and gave it a break. “Alright, that was the last. Take a break…” he assured it with a clap on its pale back, before leaving it to the surroundings…

There was a reason that he hurried this time; his senpai had seemingly prepared something big for the entire guild. Therefore, when arriving at the large hall, he didn’t wear his black-yellow kung fu clothes, but decided to wear a more formal suit; a red waistcoat and black pants that reached his upper heels. No bloodstains nor bruises were seen on his body, and the only piece of jewellery that he had was weapons 8if they even counted as that), so guess what he did? Simply by wearing the collapsible Bāo Lēi sword on the side of his hip, he guessed that they couldn’t ask for more. He took a deep breathing before walking, because this was surely familiar. Back at Ca-Elum, he always sneaked after his parents when they took out late at night, and he’d experienced the formal party life as a small brat. Of course, he caused nothing but trouble as he constantly ran around, trying his best not to get spotted by his parents that were having a good time together. Now that this ball was parent-free, he kind of regretted not knowing much of formal manners or anything like that. Well, he could always improvise if critical.

His eyes travelled across the room and over to Summer, and watching her in that dress was familiar to watching the ladies back at his home town. “… You look great,” he complimented, trying to block away any possibilities of ‘screwing’ up, “I guess that this was a good idea. Thanks for hosting the ball, Senpai.” His red eye kept its glance at her, half-open and all mystic when you begin to focus on it…

It just was not Fenghuang if she did not turn the halls and walls into some ridiculous color on a daily basis, but she held back from doing the ridiculous part because she heard about the ball being held. So like how Summer took it upon herself to make the place look fabulous for the winter ball, Fenghuang decided to make it even more fabulous by turning every wall, ceiling and hallway, white with silvery snow flake pattens on her way to the ball room. But she was not going to show up to a ball wearing her normal outfit.

She wore something more spectacular instead! She ruffled and primmed the feathers of her dress, red was a Christmas color, a fabulous Chirstmas color if you ask her, and prefectly she had a more western looking dress, though the obvious phoenix motif was there. As walls slowly turned into their new wallpaper, Fenghuang sees that someone she rarely sees but she was not one to say, she was one of their lastest members, she would not know everyone.

Fenghuang then stands next to Shen, a big smile on her face, Galileo making invisible bunny ears on Shen's head. After all being a spirit only Fenghuang can see has its benefits.

"HELLO SUMMER!" Fenghuang gave a bright loud greeting. "I hope the ball is gonna be fun! Not like it isn't the first time I have been to one, but it was not really called a ball more like a tea session with a ton of rich people." Fenghuang laughes, getting carried away again, she then turns to her side to see Shen, gave him a smile before looking back at Summer.

"Let's make this more, Christmas theme!" Fenghuang snaps her fingers and the paper that was chilling on the walls, ceilings and floor of the ballroom changed color. The walls turned a bright snowy white, silvery snowflakes making fabulous patterns along the walls. The ceiling turned into a night sky, patterned with white stars and snow. The floor turned into a soft blue, like a frozen lake. It almost looks like you can skate on it, though it is ill advised. Fenghuang smiled proudly at her work.

"Like the wallpaper change Summer?"

Summer was busy getting everything ready when dongsaeng came up to her, she didn’t realise that he was near her at all because of how much she was gawking over every intricate little detail that she has put into the getting the ball ready for the guild members and for anyone else that has been invited, she knew that the ball was going to begin, but she didn’t think it would happen so quickly in all honesty.

Jumping up slightly, Summer turned around to spot her dongsaeng looking very smart and ready for the ball himself. She couldn’t help but nod in approval of his attire as she waved to him slightly.

“Thanks dongsaeng! I must admit, you look very smart yourself!” Summer admitted as she clapped her hands ever so excitingly. She couldn’t wait to see everyone else that entered the ball! She bet that they were all going to look just as great as always. “Yes, I must say so myself, I didn’t think I could host such a thing! But I have and I love what I am seeing! Now remember dongsaeng! We have lots of food for everyone so make sure you eat up! I don’t want you see you go hungry!”

While Summer was reminding dongsaeng for no reason whatsoever, she suddenly heard a voice bellow the area. The voice shouted out her name out of all people.

Summer had to take a look and then seen it was one of the newer members: Fei Fenghuang. Summer got very excited upon seeing her.

“HEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!” Summer shouted in return, grinning wildly. She was very excited now, more and more people were piling in. “Yes! It will be fun! I have made sure it’s gonna be a fun experience for everybody here! Let’s hope you have fun too!”

The young woman decided to make the place give more of a wintery feel by managing to change the whole look of the walls, the ceiling and the likes. It really did look like a winter wonderland now, and Summer regretted absolutely nothing and now the ball only looked even more wintery. “Wow! Thanks! It looks so good! Now everyone here can enj- Oh! Bonsoir, Madame Ami!” Summer bowed down in return to Ami, who looked very pretty today! Mind you, so did everyone else in the area! “Ah, Ami, this is Shen!” She introduced the two “He is a member here, hehehehe.”

Suddenly, a little girl came into the ball wearing the cutest kimono that Summer has ever seen. It suited the little girl so well! Ah, of course it was Shizuka! The two have only met once, and the female only remembered Shizuka’s facial features briefly. “Hello, Shizuka!” Summer greeted. “How are you?!”

Summer-senpai just noticed him, judging by her sudden jolt, but he could’ve arrived in a more obvious way. She was pleased with his compliment and even gave one back to him for his own attire. He sighed in relief and nodded with a small smile: “Thanks…” The Bāo Lēi sword was of good use, after all, “And yes… I shall eat up. The food looks tasty, anyways.”

Shen spotted a figure make its way into the hall. It was another guildmate, specifically Fei. He had yet to greet her the first time, in which he… well, the normal reaction would’ve been to smile back, but he gave a rather friendly gaze with his red and yellow eye without the need of a smile. Maybe he was just a little, let’s say, the least shy enough to not smile, but he knew very well that it was but good manners to smile at people who smile at you… he forgot about that when she flicked her fingers and the entire room’s walls and papers changed into a snowy white color. It was a rather sudden transformation of the room with all the snowflakes and change in color, but nonetheless did it bring forth a very merry atmosphere.

Another lady appeared in the hall; this time, it was one whose title was known as ‘The White Dragon Slayer’ or so the fellow guild members referred to her as when showing Shen around. Her dress was gorgeous, and she appeared to wield a case of some kind of thing… what it was appeared distant for Shen. As Astrid greeted them, while Summer introduced Shen to her, she appeared not to know of his name yet. Well, he couldn’t blame her much, despite a vein appearing on his forehead with a rather comical expression on his face. “… Neither do I. I’m Shen,” he tried his best to greet ‘properly’, even with a little bow, “And… well, nice to meet you too, Madame.” Unlike him, both her eyes were red. It reminded him instantly of his own eyes, in which he hoped not to receive any foresights in the middle of the ball, in which he held his hand over it subconsciously. That would make him stand out too much…

Another, smaller figure hugged Astrid and made her arrival. She looked at the others after a few moments, although after revealing the case to contain an instrument used for music. She sounded a little shy by her stammering, but Shen understood as he lowered down to her, greeting: “Hi. I’m Shen… I’m new here.” While his red eye darted into her eyes, he honestly didn’t have much else to say at the moment, but sufficient it was. Now… what did you do to a ball? Other than eating up, that was... That was the only question that circulated around his skull at this moment, while the others were greeted by Summer.

Fenghuang smiled at herself, Summer definitely liked it hearing how excited she was. She has not however have the guts to tell Shen that her ghost Galileo was know doing the loser sign on his face. Fenghuang laughed though. She then hears a familiar voice, one that she knows very well. She turns to face Astrid, and gave a big smile.

"Oh hello Astrid! Haha it feels weird being called Madame, makes me feel like some sort of aristocrat, wait I am!" Fenghuang laughed out out, if anything she was very loud. Then she remembers her manners. "Sorry Astrid, I forgot about those!" She then stares at the case, she was familiar with the name. Violin was it. She remembers now. "Ooh you are playing music! Cool!" Fenghuang clapped and bounced. She was definitely excited. Bakeneko had once again appeared on Fenghuang's shoulder, but unlike when they first met, it was, much smaller, like a kitten. It was the Chibi version of Bakeneko. It meowed and leapt on top of Astrid's niece, Shizuka, and made itself at home in her locks.

Fenghuang looked at Shizuka with a big smile and then snapped her fingers. She laughed when Bakeneko curled up on Shizuka's head. She gives picks Shizuka up.

"OH MY GOD AREN'T YOU JUST ADORWABLE!" Fenghuang exclaimed as she twirls before putting Shizuka down. Somehow Bakeneko was still on her head sleeping. She claps and stares back into the hall before looking at Summer. She coughs and clears her throat before speaking like she was some prestigous princess.

"Summer you have done a wonderful job with the set up, and my aren't you looking beautiful tonight," Fenghuang then laughed, unable to keep up her impression. "Anyway, who else are we expecting?"

For now, Summer kept herself quiet as her dongsaeng watched the whole delight that Fei just performed. Fei reminded her of herself when she first started out, in fact, she still had some of her hyperactive qualities, no wait, she still had ALL of her hyperactive qualities. She is just managing to keep her cool as of now for various reasons and Fei was not helping. In fact, Fei was most certainly rubbing off on the much older fireworks expert. All in all, Summer was just glad that Fei was being herself… It kind of made her wonder what she would be like if she wasn’t herself, that was a deep thought but Summer had to pucker up from her typical behaviour now and then herself, so she knows the experience all too well.

All in all, Summer continued to keep herself overlooking everything until she heard the words ‘big knockers’ and Summer’s mouth gaped wide open. Did she heard that right?? She was asked if her and Fei were sisters because of their knockers. She had to admit, she didn’t think that would come up again and she didn’t want it to come up again… but it did.

“Urm… No, we aren’t sisters.” Summer answered honestly, crouching down and then patting the innocent girls head. She was so adorable, she wondered how Shizuka was such a bold person for a 9 year old, but she didn’t let that get to her, children were such curious creatures. She just wanted to hug her and keep her safe.

It appeared that Astrid was going to play with that instrument that she had in the case. It would surely lift up the atmosphere to a more celebrating one, suiting a Christmas ball like this one. Completely unaware of the loser sign behind his head, Shen looked at the people’s dresses; he should’ve done a better effort at getting a more suitable one for himself. Despite this one looking fine, he felt that he was a mere candle in the middle of suns. The view was charming, but at the same time making him feel behind when it came to fashion. Even the youngest girl (or the most likely youngest one) appeared further in that term than him. It would even cause a little blush to appear on his usually kuudere face, which he tried to hide by moving the face to the side for a brief moment.

The same, little girl was then swung around by Fei in amaze. They seemed to have fun, in which Shen didn’t butt in or anything, but Astrid’s comment revealed worry for the girl that was swung around. Perhaps those two were really close to each other, or so Shen thought by the view, in which he smiled briefly. It was always nice to see views like these, in which even Shen couldn’t refrain from showing happiness. Although… his smile would turn into an awkward, half-opened mouth by Shizuka’s comment, right after her cute compliments of both his and the others’ suits. ‘Big knockers’… did she mean ‘those’? It was a complicated situation, but Shen actually did throw a quick glance at what Shizuka meant by ‘knockers’… before looking away in a little shame and even more blush on his face. “Erm…” he let out as Shizuka was patted, “Okay, new topic.” He moved his neck a little as it made cracking sounds, before walking onto the wide floor. “So Astrid’s going to play for us, right? Then we have to contribute as well,” he explained, before holding a hand out to the group of ladies, “So, who wants to go and practice a little with me..?” his face barely smiled, but he was surely excited to do the most basal activity in any ball; dancing…

Fenghuang, not getting answer from Summer shrugs as Bakeneko licked Astrid's hand before continuing to nap on Shizuka's head. She takes the cat of Shizuka and puts the feline back on her shoulder.

"You really like the attention don't you?" Fenghuang said as she scratched the demon cat's chin and it purred softly. Just as she was doing it, she was taken aback by what Shizuka said.

"Y-Yeah we a-aren't sisters at all!" Fenghuang exclaimed, obviouly surprised by what Shizuka said. Though when compared to Summer Fenghuang looks rather small. She was the younger of two siblings after all. She wished that her elder sister was here. Boys will hit on her.

Fenghuang then looks at Shen's hand and shrugs before putting hers on his.

"Go ahead Shen, let's see how well you dance!" Fenghuang smiled, her endless amount of energy still showing brightly.

His Appearance:

Megalos walked in with a distracted look. There was a set of vines following behind him for some reason. They couldn't make up their minds what they wanted to grow so they had spent the past few day's following Megalos around and pestering him about it. No matter how much he insisted he couldn't choose for them. To anyone else however it would seem like they were following him for no good reason. Finally giving in out of frustration he bent down to them and thought of the first plant to come to his mind. "Grow pumpkins! All of you! They're very fetching I'm sure." With that he hurried away upon seeing his Senpai Astrid-Senpai. As he made his way to her the vines the shallower parts of the snowy ballroom floor instantly growing big plump pumpkins competing with each other to show off to him. Rolling his eye's he summoned Fotia his Phoenix comrade so he could enjoy the ball too. "Astrid-Senpai!" Not too long ago she hosted his exam and he was still very grateful for it.

"Ummm....I brought a present...for....ummm...the ball....." With a whistle a group of 12 reindeer, a grizzly and polar bear, a few snow hares, and a liter of silver and white kittens came bustling through the doors taking their places around the ballroom and becoming a living breathing part of the scenery. "Prince." With a nod the Phoenix understood immediately and swooped down to pick up that particular kitten from the snowy ballroom floor below. This was a special kitten. It was silver but it had two star shaped white patches of fur over each eye. It was the most adorable kitten he could find in Fiore with a somewhat Christmas theme. Mega took the little kitten which he'd named SnowStar and held her out toward his Senpai. "Mew-Mew," the little kitty complimented. "Her name is SnowStar Senpai! She says she likes your dress!" Megalos beamed happily hoping his Senpai was pleased.

Snow Star:

Megalos slipped the kitty into Astrid-Senpai's arms as he heard a certain sound in the distance. "She's your's Senpai it's my Christmas gift to you!" Turning to run back down the stairs Megalos steeled himself. He cold not hide the troubled look on his normally overly cheerful face so he avoided everyone only just now realizing there were other people besides his Senpai there. He was probably being rude by not stopping to speak but he didn't much care for human company that wasn't necessary. He could always just make up some excuse later, but he did feel bad about acting so cold in front of his Senpai. Megalos finally made his way out of the building in time to see what he had feared. A combination of his growing powers and a cocktail of venom, poisons, and acid circulating through his body had him hallucinating.

And those hallucinations had been given form with his magic. Before him stood four ghosts from the past personified by elemental he had accidentally created because of the earlier mentioned conditions. Standing in water the greatest sorrow in his past stood his departed little brother, next to him personified by his cold blooded and cold-hearted soul stood his uncle in Ice, next to him showing his dirty and disgusting form was his uncle's son, his cousin, and finally composed of flames so hot they felt cold was a figure from far into his past a child that would have been much older than him by now, an old tragedy like a terrible memory almost forgotten. He couldn't allow these spirits to disturb his guild mates party. Humans or not.

"Come with me," Megalos spoke calmly starting to lead them away from the ball. "Prince please cover for me until I'm finished here." With that said and the Prince on his way Megalos marched to face his demons. Under his breath he muttered. "I should've known I wouldn't be able to mix with humans." Megalos felt really cold suddenly. Not physically, but on the inside. Alone. He Marched.

Splendid. Shen wasn’t the only male in the hall anymore as his other guildmate, Megálos, arrived… apparently not alone. If you counted the vines as guests, then he was surely set up. However, nonetheless was he prepared for the party as he even brought a gift, which appeared to be quite the cutest kitten that he’d ever seen. SnowStar… cute name. Gladly, Shen wasn’t the only one to find the little creature adorable; despite the same face as always, he felt its cuteness warm him up. Apparently, it also had its affection on Astrid, in which Shizuka showed her agreement by asking her aunty about that ‘glow’. Quite a cute creature, after all…

His hand was suddenly grabbed by Fei’s who showed her accept of the ‘practice’ that he prompted earlier. With a quick nod, he gently pulled her into the middle of the floor, suddenly having the eyes of a dancing predator upon hers. Now, starting off with a few steps to the right and to the left, the classic, Ca-Elum way; he expected to let the dance step up in speed slowly but constantly. Warning Fei felt unnecessary for him, in which he kept his gaze at her. He was holding both her hands now, and with a swift shift in movement, he caused a minor hurricane of them both spinning around the floor, while the acceleration kept increasing as they continued with the casual, traditional way of dancing. It didn’t take long, until you could actually see the bolts travelling across the close space between Shen and Fei, but the young lightning mage cared not the least. He just kept doing what he’d observed back in his younger childhood at that party, but the tempo was disappointing for such a person. Watching Fei’s face, he felt sure that she wouldn’t mind stepping up their pace; she looked eager to have fun, in which the acceleration of their dance just doubled, tripled, quadrupled, quintupled, sextupled, and it kept going up sevenfold, eightfold… ehh, the increase went slowly, but someone had to stop him.

“This is… actually quite entertaining,” the boy let out without a thought about the speed, a small grin of excitement spreading across his face, “Oi, why don’t you all join us? Mega-“ At the corner of his red eye, he could see the absence of his guildmate who just showed up with the cute pet and all, having a slight wonder of where he went. Perhaps he forgot the other gifts…

Fenghuang could feel it, the presence of a spirit. She looks towards Megalos. She could see it. She continued to stare but looked away when she saw how her friends were reacting to the spirit. She watches the animals enter and pumpkins growing along the floor. She stares at the them in wonder. Then she looks back up. Bakeneko crawl to the snow cat and gave it a play press on its back before retreating his paw. He gets up from Shizuka's head before turning back into a slip and flying into Fenghuang's hand before disappearing. Fenghuang did not bother with Megalos as Shen grabbed hold of her and they started.

Fenghuang definitely showed no signs of struggle. Infact she was keeping pace, her hair fluttered with the wind and the bolts of lightining did not bother her. She kept up, but realized something. Shen was not going to slow down. She smiled and it did not take long for something fast to give Shen a goosr after he called out to the rest. Galileo laughed as he watched Koro-chan dashed away, carrying one of the chopsticks with him.

Now everything was getting livelier despite all the mischief that was being verbally caused by the 9 year old… saying that both her and the charm wielding female had ‘big knockers!’ Not that Summer wanted it or anything. Luckily, Astrid seemed to have fixed the issue soon enough and forced Shizuka to apologise to the two girls. Shen was dancing with Fei now and even a few newcomers were coming in including Megalos, a blonde that she was Mhhhmmmm gurl belonged to a different guild and quite a few others. The ball was going great so far and Summer was extremely happy to have pulled something off as big as this.

Summer had nobody to dance with, unfortunately. But the food looked very nice! So that was where Summer went to next, all the tables which had the food on top of them. There was quite a few choices to make regarding to the food. They all looked rather tasty and she just wanted to eat it all!. Unfortunately she knows she cannot, the others will need the food to feed themselves too, and as a gymnast she doesn’t want to eat too much food. Besides, she had a firework show to pull off later and Summer was Mhhhmmmm gurl that it was going to be the greatest firework show that she will have pulled off.

“Hmm… food to try first…” Summer wondered to herself as her blue dress went along with her movements. She already hated the dress… Luckily she won’t be pulling off any tricks tonight apart from her fireworks.

Chiyo walked in just about as late as she could get, it seemed mostly everyone else had already arrived. Without her wife next to her, it felt very strange, but she smiled as she walked in, not wanting to appear bothered. Wearing a beautiful kimono, she walked to where the others had already gathered, her smile radiant and her movements as graceful as possible. The young woman was going to have to be very careful not to unleash her poisons tonight, as she did when she was nervous. But as long as she was careful, it would be fine.

Her long black hair swishing as she walked, she stopped over by Summer, the person she was most comfortable with out of all the others in the room. Hell, she hadn't even met most of these people, and didn't know where to start. She usually kept to herself, only ever really close to Noa.
