A blood curdling scream echoes throughout the town in the late afternoon as the sun begins to set. A young woman, no older than 25 years of age cowers away from the haunting site of a young man, dragging himself out of the nearby bushes, reaching out to her with his right arm. "H-help meee." He asks her with a strained, cracked voice. The woman is on the verge of tears before turning away and running in the opposite directions, letting out another scream of fear as she left.

The young man was in complete shambles as he dragged himself out of the bushes. His black singlet was barely holding on over his left side as the right side was ripped and flopped down. There was another rip down the lower front of it that exposed his belly button and the singlet itself was covered with dirt and leaves. What looked like they may have been a pair of grey sweatpants was now grey sweatshorts, they had been intentionally ripped at the upper thigh and too were covered in dirt. A light brown duffle bag was being dragged along with the young man, his left arm looped through one of the straps. The man had no shoes, his feet black and dirty, a clear indication that he had been walking for a while. "S-some... One... H-help." He could barely speak, exhaustion filled his voice and made his words barely audible. Sticks, and leaves were tangled in his dark blue matted hair and when he realised no one else was around, he dropped his head to the ground and let out a heavy sigh. This young man is Silas Clearwater.

Silas left his family's farmland home about a month ago, after finally having enough of how they treated him and decided that he was going elsewhere, somewhere he could call his new home. He had every intention of joining a Guild once he found one that he liked but unfortunately, that had yet to happen. Sure, he did come across Fairy Tail and Luminous Rose but he felt like they weren't a very good fit so he decided to continue travelling until he found something that spoke to him. Which brings us to this moment. Silas stepped off the main road during his travels for a quick bathroom break, only to find himself lost for the next three days without food and water. He tried to eat something he found in the wild but it made his tongue feel funny, so he threw it away and hadn't eaten since.

Lifting his head back up, Silas looks around the area again for a moment in hopes of seeing someone who might actually help him instead of screaming like he was a monster. He couldn't see anyone so using his upper body strength, Silas began to drag himself further and further out of the bushes. He only moved a couple of inches before flopping back down onto the hard cobblestone pavement. "Too... Tired..." He says to himself as he gradually allows his eyes to close and begins to fall asleep.

Coco had decided that today was a nice day for a walk. She wanted to learn more about the city she was enough to roll in the more places she visited and traveled even if they were just random locations with the more places or magic could take her later. She would just be walking down the road singing a small little song to herself with no words just a rhythmic "la la la" Sound over and over again as she walked with her arms held out to each side. Wearing her standard red dress and having her Standard little red bag on her side she was enjoying her day very much. She's been doing very well at the gold lately and decided that today would be a good day just to do some exploring instead of having to work. To her she's been working very hard even though she's just been delivering things to people. But she did all those jobs with pride because she did them.

However the sad reality of the whole situation was no day was ever truly peaceful. There was always something going on always some sort of event happening in the world and she was slowly coming to terms with that as on her walk just ahead she saw someone laying in the middle of the road in the dirt. She didn't know what to expect on her walk but it certainly wasn't this period she looked to the left and to the right nothing seemed to have attacked the man or there was no chaos happening. She really didn't know what to do in the situation as she never came across this but she assumed with her new gilded family would do would be the check on the man since they were good people so that's what she was gonna do. She walked over to the man cautiously and began to try to talk to him.

M mister are you okay....who are you.....

She asked him but didn't get a response she done certain look at all worried not knowing what to do until his body spoke form and he heard his tummy growl. She couldn't solve too many problems but she could solve this one if this was a problem. She reached into a little red bag and then pulled out what appeared to be a water bottle and two energy bars she bought for a child snacks on her trip. She opened one of the bars of food and put the water bottle and the food by his face and waited taking a step back. If this didn't work she would always portal him to an adult that made know what to do more.

    Today was nuffin’.

The life of an Ace was a sweet mating dance on pink lilies tickling your feet as you jolly step across the spring field. Imai’s life, especially, had seen what many would call a ‘glow’ or an increase in genuine… y’know, joy. The constant antics of the easily impressionable Mai no longer meant a squat, not a diddly dangle, not a stain o’ crap to him. She was a child, and children do dumb shit all the time – he did, and so did she!

Nah, his life was no longer a pain. It was sweet, sugary and warm to the touch, with a silky silver feather traveling down his spine, a drop of blood loved by a thirsty vampire dropping on the feather to give it an exotic nuance, and a soft lip caressing his ear in the early morning, paired with the sickest beats strong enough to rock his bedroom all night long. Speaking of beats-

He had bought a new pair of headphones. Ace of Spades, and the weird looks that people often gave him, no longer affected his psyche – he put all that shit aside in exchange for lyrical, musical geniuses intoxicating his daily life. Man, life was sw-

    Dafuq happened to him?

“Hey, Coco, you know this guy? Boy looks half-dead, let’s go get Itori or something!” Imai immediately kicked into action before lowering down to grab this half-conscious-looking, deadass dude with an arm around his waist. Just to top it, Imai also picked Coco up and made his way back to the guild at a nice pace.

The Red Dragon’s Inn, a fancy woody place to drink, play games, request aid and talk with Sabertooth looked quite… vintage, as of late. Yet, that old-school look was homely, and why ever fix what wasn’t broke? Imai decided to bring the lad and little Coco there, kicking open the gate with a sneaker-wearing foot before entering the place with both in his arms.

Once a chair was readied, Imai plopped the dude down and brought him a cup of water. “Bruh, you been travelling like a fo- oh wait, Coco’s here, can’t cuss – or you been running from someone-thing-one-somethn’… uhm… hey, you there, lad? Ey? Ey? EY? EEEEEEY? EEEEEEEEEEY?”

Now, Imai might have been an Ace, but was he a registered paramedic? A professional first-aider? Okay, latter – maybe, but former – hell nah! Still, torn outfit like that was foreboding – had this dude been fighting an actual saber-toothed tiger?

Silas was completely exhausted. The poor young man had been lost in the wilderness for two to three days, the only speckle of water he could find were a few drops here and there thanks to the morning dew and the only food he had eaten was a piece of fruit that made his tongue feel funny. Needless to say, the boy opted to not eat anything he found out there as he was worried that he would get sick or poisoned. He was attacked a few times by a few wild animals but nothing considered to be overly aggressive, but for Silas, considering the kind of person he is with the lack of confidence and low self-esteem, he didn't exactly handle the situation all that well. He even tried to call forth one of his summons to fight off a pair of birds that were just protecting their nest, which agitated the great beast Ifrit and led to Silas being smacked around by his own summon in frustration.

Silas continued to lay there on the hard, dirty, cobblestone road as his eyes began to gradually close on their own. The last thing he heard was a pair of footsteps approaching and a young girl's voice speaking to him. Unfortunately he was far too exhausted to keep himself awake and promptly passed out without responding to the girl. As he slept, he remember back to his time living on the family farm and it wasn't the greatest of dreams. Silas' upbringing on the farm and in his home town wasn't exactly pleasant. He was bullied daily by a majority of the other kids within the town and even by his own parents. His parents considered him and dead weight, a utensil, something that they could utilise and nothing more. His only saviour was his Grandmother.

Silas came back into consciousness for a short moment, lifting his eyelids open like they were being weighed down by bricks to find himself being carried somewhere. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see the face of the young man carrying him to which he smiled "An angel?" He asked, but promptly passed out again, unable to keep himself awake. When the arrived at the destination and Silas was flopped onto a chair. He let out a slight groan but his body began to slump in the chair, not holding itself up anymore. It was here that Silas began to come back into consciousness. "Hmm?" He sounded, hearing a voice speaking and yelling at him. He allowed his eyes to gradually open to take in the light of the room. It was a little hindering as his eyes adjusted to his surroundings, finding himself in a vintage, old-fashioned building. It took him a further moment for him to realise he was sitting in a chair and another moment to realise there was a glass of water in front of him. "Water!!!" He gasped as he immediately reached for the pristine liquid and began to wash it down his throat like it was a shot of tequila. "Thank you." Silas announced as he placed the glass back down on the table nearby and turned in the direction of the people who helped him. It took him a moment, blinking his eyes several times at the site of a young girl and a young man standing side by side in front of him.

There was a pretty, young girl in a red dress with silver hair who he couldn't image had carried him but was likely the voice speaking to him as he passed out. Silas assumed she must of found help for him. Next to her, a man, younger than Silas but older than the little girl. He had red hair and a white scarf. He was likely the one who carried him and it was here that Silas remember what he thought was a dream earlier but it was actually him coming in and out of consciousness. "You carried me?" Silas asked as his cheeks began to blush while rising out of the chair. "You perverted fool!" A voice announces as an open hand smack Silas over the back of the head. "Ouch!" He cried out, taking hold of the back of his head with both hands, squinting and rubbing the now bumped head. Standing behind Silas now was a young man with flowing white hair, tanned skin, amber eyes and a somewhat revealing, purple coloured costume. "I didn't do anything!" Silas proclaimed as he whipped around to face his summon. "And how the hell did you get here?" The white haired man stepped forward and pushed Silas back into the seat. "You don't have to say anything because I already know what you were thinking and I came here on my own magic because apparently you have nothing left at this moment." The white haired man had pushed Silas into the seat, partly to get him out of the way but also because he knew the boy had to rest. "Thank you, the both of you for helping the boy out." He says to them both as leans forward and respectfully bows. "I am Alvar. One of his summons."

”Yup! It’s not healthy to just sleep on the road like that – you’re covered in more grease than a bio trashcan,” Imai promptly replied with a bit of brutal honesty added to the mix, “Now, drink yo’ damn water and, I don’t know, take a shower or som’n… y-you got a place to stay, right? There are a couple inns here in Ace of- WHAT IN THE HELL!?”

Imai abruptly covered Coco’s eyes upon the appearance of some random bloke who, by my life, must’ve teleported into the room just to smack the strange hobo right in the back of his head. Imai, at first astonished, suddenly heard Silas’ words and wondered if he was a kindred admirer of bea- wait a damn second.

That… didn’t make sense at first. There was no way he meant Coco, that was grounds for getting sent to the Rune Knights on the spot… oh well, this new guy suddenly took the wheel and thanked the two of them for helping this guy out. The lad with little sense of modesty in clothing called himself Alvar, a summon.

“The fu-… I mean, n-no problem, bro. This is our town, after all – we help out as many as we can in Ace of Spades… oh yeah, you guys must be newcomers, then! I don’t know how long you’ve been traveling to look that shafted, but this town’s pretty awesome!” Grabbing his headband with both hands, the two visitors would notice that the headband was embedded with a symbol… a yellow logo that looked like a big cat flashing its huge canines.

“I’m Imai Uchūken, the super-duper-ultra-mega-star Ace of Sabertooth! W-Well, only one of the Aces here... and the hell’s your name, boy?!”
