    Beast Hunter Empty Beast Hunter

Post by Terrell Passmore 27th May 2016, 4:13 pm

    Beast Hunter Latest?cb=20141103193302

    Primary Magic: Beast Hunter
    Secondary Magic: N/A
    Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: Beast Hunter Magic is, in essence, Requip magic. However, it differentiates itself from Requip is a couple of different ways, first of all, Beast Hunter Magic includes a special type of ritual, capable of turning dead Beasts into arms that can only be wielded by the ones that perform the ritual. Beasts are not just any animals, they are clumps of evil souls that have manifested into hideous beasts, and Beast Hunters take it upon themselves the slay these Beasts. When a Beast Hunter performs a ritual, they bind the souls that made up the Beast to their own soul, allowing them to give the souls physical form whenever they please. Beast Hunters can store all their weapons in a pocket dimension, similar to Requip mages, or at least that is how it seems. In reality, since a Beast Hunter's weapons are created though their own magic power, they are dispelled when the caster is not using them, instead of just being tucked away in another dimension, this is why Beast Hunter is a Caster-type magic. Beast Hunters are all part of a long-forgotten clan, and were once numerous, but somehow, most of them died, leaving few Beast Hunters remaining.

The more skilled the Beast Hunter, the more arms he or she will own, because a Beast Hunter's arms directly correlate, in most cases, to the number of Beasts a Beast Hunter has slain. Also, depending on the number of arms a Hunter owns, their transformation ritual will grow stronger, resulting in stronger arms. Unfortunately, this also means that a new Beast Hunter can slay a monstrous Beast and perform a ritual on it, and the weapon they gain will not be as powerful as the weapon a stronger Beast Hunter will gain from performing a ritual on a weaker beast. It is worthy to note, however, that weaker Beasts will often disappear after being slain, rendering the Beast Hunter incapable of performing the ritual on it.

Terrell is a relatively inexperienced Beast Hunter, having learned the secrets of the Magic from his father not too long ago. As is customary with new Beast Hunters, Terrell was given one of his father's weapons to begin his Beast hunting, and he has not yet defeated a Beast powerful enough to perform a ritual on. It is also worthy to note that each Beast Hunter has an 'affinity' for a type of weapon. This means that most rituals they perform will result in a type of weapon that the user has an affinity with, though this is not always the case, weapons for which they have an affinity will also be stronger in the hands of the Beast Hunter, even if they are not Beast Hunter weapons. Terrell's affinity is currently unknown.

    Strengths:

    - Versatility: Arguably the greatest strength of anyone who uses any type of magic even remotely similar to Requip, Beast Hunter is an extremely versatile type of magic, able to offer several different types of offensive, and in some cases even defensive weaponry.

    - Unpredictability: A weapon coming from one Beast will always be drastically different than one from another Beast, therefore, Beast Hunters are very unpredictable, even what two Beast Hunters are dueling, one will never know what to expect.

    - Spell Weapons: Due to the fact that a Beast Hunter's weapons are just souls given physical forms which are maintained only by the Hunter's own magic power, no one can wield a Beast Hunter's weapon other than that Hunter. This makes it very hard for the user's magic to be used against them.

    Weaknesses:

    - Restrictive: Though they are souls given physical forms as weapons, they are also just that, weapons. And thus, are extremely restrictive, with each weapon incapable of doing anything other than what it can do.

    - AoE Attacks: While some weapons are capable of AoE Attacks, this is very rare, as a Beast Hunter's weapons generally only need to be used on one target: a Beast.

    - Wielding: While the user can, strictly speaking, summon as many weapons as their magic power can sustain at one time, they can only wield one in each hand, greatly restricting the damage they can deal.

    - Defense: While Defensive Weapons, such as shields and the like, may be formed through Beast Hunter Magic, it is worth noting that it is almost impossible for a Beast's soul clump to take the form of armor.

    Lineage:

    Unique Abilities:

    Beast Ritual:

    Signature Weapon:

Note: In the following spells, whenever "D-Rank Damage" or similar is said, it generally connotes armed melee damage of the rank, unless specifically stated.

    Edits made.

    EXTRA:
-Beast Ritual now allows for reduced MP instead of leeway.
-Often, when you said something like "reduce to 8 meters per second", I put 10 instead, and made other minor tweaks to things like range.
-Kept two abilities for Interfodio's passive instead of 1.

I hope all of this is okay.

    Name: Interfodio
    Rank: D
    Type: Offensive/Ice
    Duration: 4 Posts
    Cooldown: 5 Posts
    Description:
    Interfodio:

Interfodio is a silver and gold lightweight rapier, and at first look, no one would imagine that it has the ice powers that it does. Interfodio can be used to easily create magic circle that release blasts of ice, and the tip of the blade can be used to create strands of ice. Anything stabbed or cut by Interfodio feels a chill and begins to freeze slowly. Interfodio is an odd weapon, it is cold to the touch. Like most D-Rank Weapons, it deals D-Rank damage with every hit.

    Strengths:
    - Ice: Interfodio is of the ice element, making it very useful against water mages since it can potentially freeze their spells.
    - Lightweight: Since it is lightweight, Interfodio can be wielded along with another lightweight weapon.
    - Short and Mid-Range: Because of how long it is, Interfodio is exceptionally useful in both short range and mid-range combat.
    Weaknesses:
    - Fire: Being a type of Ice weapon, Interfodio can be rendered almost useless by fire mages, since they can nullify most of it;s properties.
    - Long Range: Being a melee weapon, Interfodio is almost useless when it comes to long-range combat.
    - Blunt Damage: Being as light as it is, Interfodio can only be used for slashing and piercing, it is incapable of dealing Blunt damage.
    - Blocking: Since it is an extremely thin rapier, Interfodio is absolutely useless for blocking any kind of attack.

Thanks for taking this over, Frogman-Senpai!

All edits made, but I have a comment, and I made one unrequested edit.

Comment: I added the ice bullet to Interfodio's description, but kept it in the passive section since it is an extra attack type, is that alright?

Unrequested edit: I changed the damage from Praeacutus's active to spell damage, so that it is a more viable way of dealing damage.

    Thanks again! ^o^
