NameBlack Sails Guild AlignmentNeutral Guild RelationsNo Relations yet GuildmasterAnastasia Isayev (Captain) LocationDivide IslandGuild FocusWe are sky pirates! What we do is to not only line our pockets with the jewels of the rich but also to become stronger as mages and people. We are a merry band of men and women who seek an adventure whether it is grand-piracy of the sky and seas to treasure hunting in ruins of old. We sing shanties, drink, and be merry. We are brothers and sisters at arms while we travel across the sky in search for adventure and booty! We don't have any political affiliation, that isn't our thing. We don't care what happens, as long as we get what we consider to be ours. IF we are feeling charitable, we will give to those less fortunate, the ones that the rich have taken advantage of. However, the majority of what we commandeer is ours and ours alone! We share what we get evenly among ourselves. Power and jewels is what we want! Sure, we will help protect the realm from the evil-doers and those that want to trample on our loot, but don't expect us to come running as the saviors that this world doesn't need. We are also not villains; we will not kill needlessly. Just don't stand in the way between us and the loot and everything will be JUST FINE and dandy! We also don't just steal things either. We aren't JUST thieves, ya know. We also sail across the sky in search of adventure and any ruins that may need to be rummaged through. So yes, we also do quite a bit of adventuring as well! Don't forget that part! Thieves don't adventure, but Pirates do! Yarrrrrr! Guild Motto" Take from the Rich and give to Us!" Pirate's CodeThis is the code that all pirates of Black Sails must abide by. Even we have honor. 1: A member of Black Sails may not take from another member of Black Sails. 2: If a member of Black Sails is showing signs of betrayal, they will be banished from the guild. 3: No member may hold a seat as either a Wizard Saint, Rising Star, Coming Storm, or Sinner. Those who have gained this characterization will be thwarted from the guild at once. 4: Everyone is equal within Black Sails . No member will get better treatment than the rest. Everyone has the same living space and everyone gets the same amount of loot. However, those who put in the most work will receive additional compensation for their work. 5: Squabbles will be dealt with in any fashion necessary. Once a squabble has been settled, that will be the end of that dispute. 6: We do not kill innocent people. We will not be seen as barbarians. 7: Never betray your brothers and sisters of Black Sails . 8: Welcome all new-comers into the guild. Nothing is worse to a new buccaneer than to not feel like part of a family.
Guild Area Information- Spoiler:
Tucked inside of the Divide Island's split mountain is a hidden entrance that leads to the watery cavern, home of Black Sails Pirate Guild. This entrance may only be accessed during certain times of the day on ships with diving capabilities. Upon finding a way underwater and through a system of watery caverns, the ships will find their way into a cavern where the main base of Black Sails reside.
The dark and damp cavern came to be known simply as "The Lair". The Lair houses the Pirates as well as provides entertainment and storage for all stolen goods. This cavern was here before the creation of Black Sails, so it was assumed that the Guild merely took over the remains of a previous crew. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything left over as an inheritance other than a Black Book and a Red Egg.
The Lair has many wooden ladders leading to look-outs, catwalks, and various other locations. Several drawbridges line the edges of the waters, used for easy transport of good from within ships to the Holding Deck where all of the things "commandeered" will be sorted and divvied up among those still alive to tell the tale. Further into The Lair is a door with a large bronze figurehead is seen above the door. The figurehead is that of a topless mermaid with bountiful assets sticking out of the cavern wall. Once you have reached this figurehead, you have found your way to The Siren's Song; the bar of Black Sails Guild. | The Siren's Song
The Siren's Song is the name, passionately given, to the bar within The Lair. Many shanty are sung and drinks are drunk within the Siren's Song. When the men and women of Black Sails aren't out getting money honestly (or dishonestly), they can be found here. This is also the first room found within The Lair, working similar to a gateway before going inwards to the rest of the guild. The Siren's Song is a large bar, capable of comfortably accommodating up to 120 individuals with seats and glasses to ensure everyone that appears has a good time. The Siren's Song also comes with instruments for those men or women of the guild brave enough to play an instrument without getting boo'd off the stage from their fellow privateers. Inside of the Siren's Song is the very popular bar-maid, Alisha, who is able to cater to Black Sails Guild's needs when it comes to drink or even lap-warming. However, she isn't THAT kind of girl, so don't bother asking. She is also known to sing and dance for the members of Black Sails. Don't worry, she knows what she's doing and she's free to go as she wishes; she works at the Siren's Song on her own free will. Just be sure to keep your hands from roaming where they shouldn't and she won't clobber you. NOTE: The Siren's Song will be where your character will be escorted, IC, for Guild Introduction Thread. | Personal Cabins
Cabins are, what you land-lubbers would call rooms. These personal cabins are given to each member of Black Sails upon joining the guild. Not only will they be given a room, but they will also be given a key to protect their valuables. While Black Sails honor a code to not steal from one another, extra safety precautions are kept in the instance it ever happens.
Each member of Black Sails are given a decent sized room, big enough to house 3 people. However, due to allowing each member of Black Sails a bit of privacy, it is only 1 to a room. Co-habitation IS allowed at your own discretion. Each room is furnished with general amenities such as their own kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. The rooms can be personalized with other amenities as the member likes as these rooms are all fitted with electricity.
Each room is also made of wood, to look similar to the inside of the guild ship where each member would reside, but far more spacious and comfortable.
There is no separation between male and female living quarters, meaning that your next door neighbor may be someone of a different gender. When roomed near someone of the opposite gender, each member is to respect their space and not sexually harass them.
Each room is also the same size regardless of station within the guild. The Captain (Guildmaster) will have the same size room as the Quartermasters (Aces); The Captain and Quartermasters will have the same size room as everyone else. It is the Captain's belief that the room sizes being equal would make the members of the guild also feel equal without giving off a superior air to the rest of the crew. |
The Glowing Pool
What is a guild of pirates without a way to soothe and soak their bones. Deep inside of the cave there is a pool of water that has a strange blue glow to it. This water came to be known as "The Glowing Pool" due to the bio luminescent algae that is found in the water. Not only is this pool a fresh water spring in the middle of the ocean, but it is also on top of a volcanic area, giving the water a nice and warm temperature all year round. The heat of the springs excites the algae to giving off it's eerie blue glow.
A room had been carved out and lockers installed for the storing of clothing and other items. Towels are placed in a neat pile for those wanting to go in. This is a co-ed bath, but strict regulations prevent any "hanky-panky" from occurring within the spring. After dipping in the spring for a while, the algae stick to the person, causing them to glow for a short while before the algae ultimately dies when out of the water.
This spring also has strange healing properties, accelerating the healing of minor injuries to beyond a natural pace. Cuts instantly close, body aches instantly disappear, and even massive gashes could close up. This is a popular place for the members of Black Sails to come and socialize (whether covered in a towel or completely naked). Remember, there will be no "hanky panky" in this hotspring. | The Hidden Beach
A mysterious beach that resides just outside of the lair. Through a strange door, with runic flourishes upon the border of the door, the Hidden Beach can be found. This beach isn't effected by the outside weather (being a nice tropical feel all the time with the occasional rain shower). Not only is the weather within the Hidden Beach not connected to the outside world, but it can't be found from outside of the island. However, incoming ships could be seen from the beach. Some people theorize that this beach may exist on a different plane of existence.
When the members of Black Sails want to throw a party outside, they generally come to the Hidden Beach. Parties, BBQs, and the casual day of fun-in-the-sun is had here. Think of a typical beach episode in an anime and that is what happens here on this beach. Due to the strange 'cloaking' on the Hidden Beach, the guild has the utmost privacy here and even flees here when things get TOO dangerous.
This beach not only serves as a place of leisure, but also as an escape route. Rafts are stationed out on the Hidden Beach, which can be rowed out to the open sea. After 500 meters out from the door entrance, the strange cloaking is not effective and the rafts can be seen by the outside world.
While bikinis and trunks are the main clothing out here, try not to lose your clothing too often! |

The Dream Room
The Dream Room was developed and created by Anastasia Isayev as an experiment on brain manipulation and thought manipulation as part of research for Artificial Intelligence. Utilizing a computer with built-in scenarios, she's capable of altering alpha, beta, delta, and theta waves to match the protocols and scenarios within the program. By doing this, she is capable of injecting scenarios into a sleeping person's mind while allowing them to remain in lucid captivity. In other words, Anastasia is capable of projecting any scenario the user wants into the sleepers' dreams while giving them full control of what happens within that dream.
The Dream Room has up to 5 beds in the room. Each bed has wires and other gadgets that are hooked up to the target for the brainwave manipulation. Those that fall asleep are instantly placed into the scenario that was chosen for them to play out. One could create a scenario where they are in a futuristic setting or they could go more primitive if they desire. These are dreams that they are in control of as well as having others join in if they so wished.
The Dream Room is seen as similar to the "holo-deck" in science fiction where any setting is chosen for the user's enjoyment. The size and scope of the world is unlimited due to it beign inside of the user's mind. They can relive past events, soppy melodramas, become a famous gun-slinger, or even become the Kings and Queens of Fiore if they so desired it. The limit to what the user does during their stay at the Dream Room is entirely up to their imagination. This fantasy will last until you decide to wake up, so people may come and go as they please. |
Chamber of the Elder gods
A strange, and rather off-putting room within the Lair. This place was here prior to Anastasia's discovery of the place being a large, black, circular room with ancient pillars holding up a dome-shaped ceiling. Upon the ceiling a mural had been painted upon it depicting a great horror coming from the ocean. The same horror depicted on the mural had a massive statue standing directly in the middle of the room. A large creature with a strong body and a tentacle filled face. Carved runes surrounded the large statue of the might giant, written in a very ancient, dead language. The statue hand one hand open and one hand semi-closed with a strange red egg being held in it's open hand. The egg was strange, bearing a single pair of lips, a pair of eyes, and a nose in disfigured locations, as if shuffled upon the egg on purpose. Within the closed hand, a black book was fit between the fingers and palm of the semi-closed. Black book had a lock upon it, not allowing those who do not have a key to open it. In front of the statue is an altar, one covered in dried blood. The dried blood was clearly seen upon the surface of the altar, itself, as well as draining down over the side. This was a scene of ancient rituals to what appeared to be an "Elder God". Nobody in the crew knows much about this ghastly room, but what is known is that magic used in the room seem to be amplified 10-fold. This room is a true mystery and often avoided by normal members of the crew. However, the more occult members may find refuge and comfort in the history of this place. |
Guild PositionsCaptain (Guildmaster) The Captain is in charge of Black Sails. The Captain is seen as the leader, but will not receive a bigger share of the loot or the responsibility. Quartermaster (Ace) The Quartermasters are who the Captain deem fit to lead the guild in their place. They, too, are given a similar share of the loot. However, Quartermasters are given a responsibility to quash any potential rebellions, distribute work among the crew, and even advise the Captain if the Captain is making a potentially erroneous decision. The position of Quartermaster is vitally important to the survival of Black Sails. If a Quartermaster cannot fulfill their responsibilities, they will be replaced at the Captain's discretion. MemberThese are the back-bone of Black Sails. Without the members, Black Sails isn't capable of performing it's functions properly and missions would be deemed a failure. If a member is deemed worthy, they can be ascended to Quartermaster at the Captain's discretion. Everyone in Black Sails are treated equally, with some having a bit more responsibility than most. However, it is Black Sails' goal to ensure that all members of Black Sails get what they put in. Nobody will be seen as dead weight until they prove themselves as such. Guild Perks
Guild Sign Upon entering Black Sails, each members will be given the guild sign of "The Jolly Roger". Those with "The Jolly Roger" will be granted access into the guild hall and the ability to use "The Dream Room". "The Jolly Roger" is a necessary sign to use the majority of the guild's facilities. The guild's bar-maiden, Alisha, will not serve those that do not have "The Jolly Roger". Personal Ship To those who have contributed to the Guild through hard work will receive their own ship that they can use during guild ventures or personal ventures. This ship will be no bigger than Combat Ships and will be paid for by the guild (if the guild has funding, that is). This ship will still belong to the guild, but only the person who earned this ship is capable of piloting it. Once that person leaves the guild, they cannot take that ship with them and will be re-purposed later on. The determining factor on who deserves what ship is entirely up to the Captain to decide. |
