It was that time when Leila had to visit Neutral Grounds again. In all honesty, she didn't like this place all that much. It was way too polluted and dirty for her standards, not to mention the nullifying effect on her magic. Unable to cast even a single spell, she felt extremely restricted. Almost as if she was in shackles and unable to move. Thankfully, that wasn't actually truth at all and her movement was just fine. And why she was here in the first place? Her iLac was acting up, not doing what it was supposed to do. And since she got it here from a certain factory, she figured that they would be able to help her. The thing was, the place was no longer open for the public. All the gates were firmly shut with a guard standing in front of every single one of them. And they all refused to let the poor wizard girl in. They sure were rude to a customer who had some issue with their product. But to be fair, she did get the device for free... however, that did not matter! They were surely still responsible for repairing it.
Giving up eventually, Leila simply headed further into the industrial zone. In place like this, it was even impossible to infiltrate the place and find someone who could fix it. She would need her magic for that. In a sense, this phenomenon was probably the best security for this whole area. Which was also what forced everyone to switch to actual technology that didn't use any magic inside of it. Sitting on a bench that she found nearby, she sighed and looked at the communication device one more time. It really was useful and just throwing it away now would surely be a waste. After all, it always allowed her to communicate with people far away without the need to sent letters that took time to arrive, if they even did arrive without getting lost somewhere along the way.
"Damn, is there really no one who could fix this thing for me? Where are all the technology enthusiasts where you need them?"
It really would be awfully convenient if someone overheard those words and decided to help and interact with Leila, who was just sitting on the bench and waiting for something to happen. Especially if that convenient someone was a she that loved technology, that would truly be exactly what she needed at the moment.
