A zure had questioned the possibility of half breeds... he'd known animals were mostly unable to produce children with humans, and wondered if it were possible for non-humans to even breed with them. Azurius held out his hand, a massive book that was easily two feet wide, a foot thick, and three feet long appeared in it. He slid himself back a bit and propped it on the table, sticking his cigar in his mouth while reading over the golden text. "A half elf... a humanoid born through the union of an elf and a human. Whether a half-elf is raised by their human parent or their elven parent, they normally feel isolated and alone..." he said with the cigar muffling a few words here and there. Azurius pulled the cigar from his mouth, using one hand to keep the book in one place. "So cross species breeding is possible for humans..." Azurius said under his breath. Azurius continued skimming the page, reading the information on elves silently, but did pause as they talked about going on a job. The book suddenly burst into sparkles of light and Azure's golden eyes locked on Rokai. "You're hurt pretty damn bad. I don't feel comfortable with someone who's injured just waltzing out the guild hall without seeing a proper healer. I won't stop you, but if the lot of you are doing a job then I'm coming along. Don't need my friends getting hurt if I can help it." he said, his voice was stern, low, and implied he didn't plan on giving them much of a say in the matter. "Yo boss, you know you just showed them-" "Yeah, curiousity got to me." Azure let out a sigh. "The book you saw was the Holy Archive, a specialized type of object that contains nearly all the knowledge in the world. Of course, there's some things it doesn't know which means I'm at the mercy of my instincts if I come across it. As for my magic, it's nothing special. That book is the most amazing thing I've got to show." what he said wasn't a lie... while Azure's magic contained tricks that would astound even the best wizards, a book that contained all there is to know weighed in at the most impressive of all. "Speaking of the book, Rokai. The book states half breeds normally feel isolated. Understand this guild is home to only the highest quality of wizards. In that, I mean that none of us are so narrow minded as to think your blood has anything to do with the quality of your heart. Lamia Scale is a home to the homeless, a beacon of hope for those who have none, and the best damn guild you can find. No one here cares if you're human or not, we'll all fight for you till the bitter end." he said, his eyes glowing gold with passion and truth behind his claim.WC: TAG |
