Ghelgath's Despair is an artifact sword forged out of lacrima-infused titanium centuries ago. Some say the reason that the steel is always cold, even after being held by flesh for an several is that it was created using the breath of an Ice Dragon. It is around 3.6 ft tall and 0.9 ft. in length, it weighs 17.5 kilograms and has a double-edge.
So how did the Duchess come across such a brilliant masterpiece? It was when she was out exploring the silent glaciers due to her adventurous nature. The Blizzard that fateful day was way too strong for anyone, even a devil descendant, to go through. After trying her best to cut through the frost-storm for an hour, the aristocrat had no other choice but to look for shelter, which she managed to find inside a small cave. Inside the cave, Rae ran a hand through her long, mostly frozen, strands of hair. As she looked around she spotted something quite.. disturbing. A disgusting looking ghoul was standing in front of her, staring. Not frightened by it the Duchess simply asked it politely but with a demanding tone "Can I help you somehow?" The red-haired noble could hear her voice echo throughout the cave. The ghoul tilted it's head up and motioned for Rae to follow it. For some reason she, unknown to her, she did and it led her to a large hall made of ice. As her red eyes scanned the room they spotted the ghoul. It was standing next to a large throne...made of ice. On its right side stood a sword with an aura which could be felt from the entrance of the cave. How hadn't the Havoc Duchess noticed earlier? The entire cave was full of dead bodies, all of them seemed to be reaching towards that same sword which the ghoul was standing next to. Rae walked up to the sword, she could hear the clicking of her heels echo as she approached it. As her fingertips touched the hilt of the weapon she felt a wave of energy being released from it. Images of death flashed in front of her eyes. "Ghelgath, The Demon Lord of Ice huh? "The Duchess muttered, and looked back at the ghoul, only to find out that it had turned into a pile of flesh. As she lifted the sword up with little effort and carried it out of the cave, only to find that the blizzard had stopped. As she turned back towards the cave she realized that it had vanished.
Strengths:
It's double-edged- The sword can be used in both hands.
Ghelgath's soul- The weapon increases it's power in cold environments.
"It Freezes stuff"- As quoted by Harrigan, yes the weapon can freeze whatever it's master wills it to.
Weaknesses:
Is weak against fire magic and fire embedded weapons- Being embodied by Ghelgath, The High Demon of Frost, has it's positives...and it's negatives. The battle between fire and ice rages on.
Weak against light elements- It's inhabited by a demon thus obviously it would be forced back easily by light users.
Warm Environments- The weapon which is forever cold does not enjoy being warm, it's powers diminish.
Is a melee weapon- The weapon has a strike range equivalent to 3.6 feet
Abilities:
Rank: Artifact
Type: Claymore Broad Sword
