It only comes up because we keep seeing these crazy things like what Heero just did in Priory event where he literally kicked up a tornado by running in circles. But that's Heero who has some ridiculous stuff for speed already to allow him to do that and he's H rank so reaching those kinds of speeds wouldn't be an issue for him... if only it wasn't his base speed. I think there simply needs to be a rule stating you can be fast but you can't be inhumanly fast unless you buff yourself up with magic, it's simply a mater of people being paranoid over something that wont effect them unless they go PvP.
This god forsaken topic once again....

So I had an idea to add to the speed, maybe just a way to keep it simple and can be used for blocks or dodges too.
Have it so that each rank have their own speed, so that a D-rank mage would be a little slower then a C-rank mage, but would be at the same speed with another D-rank mage. This way now any speed increase would go with ranks. For example two D-rank mages are battling at the same rank, and Mage A casts a speed buff on themselves making them 100% faster for a duration, now mage A who casted the buff will be faster to move against mage b since their speed would technically be at C-rank for the duration, even if the buff increase was at 50% they still could move just a little faster.
With this we can avoid alot of number play and can keep it more simplier, and while yes their should be many factors, we need to keep it more simpler due to magic making impossible things possible.

"Those who do not fear power, are too easily destroyed by it."
"Humans are the biggest monsters. How else can you explain a dragon's need to burn down their homes, a demon's need to slaughter them, or a god's attempt at brainwashing them to devote loyalty? It is because we have the greatest chance to destroy them with whatever else gets in our way, and slayers are not the only method how."-Zecarayus Trevelean
Note: Until I get this in his character sheet, his name is changed to nevarran. Same soul though!

For the sake of those that want to do PVP I have implemented a guideline speed system as follows. This is in the now named Physical Body, Equipment and Pet rules section.
Speed is defined as such:
Mages of equal rank are equal to one another in terms of walking, running, sprinting and movement speed. There is some leeway around this for build e.g. a sumo isn't moving as fast as a Usain Bolt style character. However, this doesn't mean the latter can't be hit by the former.
Guideline base speed at D rank without any buffs applied is as follows:
Walking speed - 5mph
Running speed - 10mph
Sprinting speed - 20mph
This is increased by 25% for each rank.
I am locking this topic. If you have any comments please pm me them
As mentioned this is a GUIDELINE and there will be some variance based on build. However, there should never be a time, unless the rank difference is ridiculous like a D vs an S where the higher ranked should be dodging everything.
