Wanted! Demolitions Expert!

Walking through Crocus, Kateri spotted a rather out of place sign inside of a large cathedral looking building. Upon entering, she was greeted by some guy wearing a pure white dress made of silk with golden laces and an opulent chef's hat. She approached the tan piece of paper and jolted back at the shock of what it was. The poster was an official wanted notice from the crocus guard, asking for some guy's ass... dead or alive. Kateri gently pulled the poster down, as she knew the religion represented in the cathedral was against all kinds of violence. On her way out, the greeter thanked her for taking it down and explained that when she tried to do it, the guard threatened her with time in the big house. Kateri smiled and gave the elderly woman a warm hug while telling her it was no problem, and she began walking to the guard station.

While at the guard station, Kateri received all the details on this 'Demolitions Expert' that the guard had to offer. That saying, it was almost no information at all... She told them she would have no problems doing it, but she'd need to borrow some weapons. The guard placed a pistol, a stun gun, a pair of hand cuffs, and a sword on the table and told her to take her pick. Kateri took all of them and got ready to get moving. On her way out, she noticed a person passing by, he seemed to be just as capable as she was. Knowing she was slightly crippled as far as magic went, Kateri approached him and asked for his assistance.

Kateri gave a faint smile as the guy agreed to go with her, that would make things much easier for her. She walked next to him, making sure not to be ahead or behind him, and listened as he introduced himself. "My name's Kateri. It means Pure in my tongue." She said with a bit of happiness in her tone. She made a slight grimace as the man asked about her magic, and immediately got to looking away. "My... magic..." she began saying, before noticing a cotton candy stall. "-gasp- Oh my gosh, cotton candy! One second!" she shouted before making a break for the sweets. She quickly got her cotton candy and began munching on it while walking alongside Sky, using that as an excuse for her inability to talk. That being said, the walk to the mines were more or less Kateri stuffing her face with either the blue fluffy stuff on a stick, or the pink fluffy stuff on the other end of the stick while smiling from ear to ear. She didn't mind it at all, tasted amazing to her, and it kept her current ally from knowing her magic.

Kateri walked in a bit after Sky, and didn't bother responding to his call. She watched as some orb thing flew into a tunnel, and immediately returned in a hurry moments later. Pulling the gun that the guard loaned her earlier, a .45cal six-shooter, Kateri got ready to fight. She saw a gentle red glow coming from the tunnel, along with the flickering sound of a flame. Getting ready for whatever the enemy was, Kateri took a couple steps back and aimed the revolver with one hand, and a big grin. "Common you dumb bastard..." She said in a hushed tone, the anticipation was almost killing her. The figure appeared, revealing itself to be a humanoid holding a gently glowing torch, as well as a stick of dynamite. The being turned to face Kateri, holding a lit stick and taking aim at Kateri with the intention of blowing her to bits. The demolitionist threw the stick at Kateri, in perfect alignment with the barrel of her six shooter. A gun shot rang through the tunnels as the dynamite was intercepted by the revolver, and another two shots as the revolver was fired at it again. Each shot caused the being to back up, flinching for a moment, but didn't make the enemy fall. Kateri let off her last three rounds and the enemy hit the floor. Standing only a few meters from the dead demolition slave, Kateri was surprised when a massive explosion erupted from under the corpse, sending her into the wall.

Kateri quickly opened her right eye with a smile on her face, signaling that she was nowhere near injured enough to be out. She quickly jumped up, saying "God Slayer! Never met one before!" while simultaneously grabbing a stick of dynamite mid air and throwing it back. Running around a corner to get some cover, she peeked around it, and saw a last two opponents peeking back. "It's only fair I tell you my magic. I'm a frost wizard, meaning I control snow and ice in the air. If you can cover me long enough to get close, I can freeze those two and save one for interrogating." Kateri said with a confident expression. She took all her weapons off so they wouldn't slow her down and before Sky could give a reply she was bolting down the tunnel towards the two men. Unsure of how her ally would keep them at bay, be it use his own spells or the gun she left on the floor, Kateri wiped all doubt from her mind. A few seconds later, Kateri was next to the two men and gave a generous grin. A blast of white engulfed the area as Kateri froze the water below the ground, likely from old irrigation or water supply for the mines. A massive pillar of Ice erupted from the ground and encased one of the men, preventing him from activating the bombs strapped to his chest. The other man was motioning to grab the trigger for his bombs, but was caught when Kateri rammed her knee into his groin, causing him to grab his crotch and fall to the ground instead. She was quick to use a bit of cold air to freeze the wires for his bombs, making it so none of the wires would respond to his trigger. With his sack hurting so bad, he wasn't likely to reach for any of his spare dynamite, so Kateri was fine with him having them. She called to her partner down the tunnel "You did great! We have two hostages now!" with a fairly pleased voice.

Kateri looked at the chasm and realized that she didn't have wings, but she did know of a cheeky little bugger who did. Kateri stepped back a good few meters, and said "Shadow, Grow." calmly, giving no form of emotion in her voice. A small black silhouette was seen slowly creeping from Kateri's black cloak, and moving to the edge of the ten meter chasm. A high-pitched clicking sound was heard, and then the small one foot, seven inch long winged snake looking creature with a bony skull for a helmet began to grow. Within moments, it was four feet thick, and forty meters long. The excess ten feet were split on equal ends of the chasm. There was a good two or so feet between the roof of the mines, and the back of shadow so Kateri had to shimmy across his back. When she got to the end, Kateri rubbed his head gently while smiling. "Thanks so much, you can turn back now." she said gently, as if talking to her own child. The creature became extremely small again, and flew over to Kateri to wrap around her arm. She held out her hand towards Sky. While the smile of her face was masked by how dark the area was, she had one while introducing her pet. "This is Shadow, he doesn't seem like much at first glance, but he's pretty damn vicious in a fight. And being so small, it's harder to hit him." She said in an informative, non-gloating tone of voice. The small black creature lifted a portion of its body up, and using its wings, mimicked a bowing motion before crawling back into Kateri's cloak. Kateri looked back at the man, who was mostly thawed out from her ice burial and pointed the revolver at his leg. She fired, but the shot missed his leg and grazed the fuse of the dynamite he had, causing it to blow up. "Damn revolvers are so shitty at that distance! If I wanted him dead I would have aimed for the chest...." Kateri said with a hint of irritation. She looked at Sky, her blue eyes glowing in the darkness as she pointed the barrel to him saying "Not a word of this to my guild master! If I gotta sit through ANOTHER lecture on killing people, even by accident, then you're the next one!" she said angrily, though most of the anger was towards herself. She began walking down the tunnel, while also holding back most of her anger about what had happened.

Ignoring the warning, Kateri scraped a few bits of the phosphor from the walls and into a series of sacks. "Or, I can be smart and find some for of oxidant to ignite this stuff, and make a pseudo bomb. Should be plenty lying around somewhere." Kateri said in a snappy voice. She began looking around for any kind of container, her eyes resting on the silhouette of a set of wooden crates stacked on top each other. The boxes contained Metal Oxide, essentially rust, which in this case would be a perfect oxidant for the mix. She stuffed some in the small pouches and then tied them off. Hearing the sound of approaching enemies, Kateri knew exactly how to test her theory. She quickly ran to the edge of the tunnel their opponents were coming from, and used a match she kept in her pocket to light the end of the pouch before throwing it. A cold wind was used to send the pouch even further, all the way down the hall. The figures of her enemies was seen, and then and explosion set off. "Woo! It worked! Though I doubt it killed them, just weakened. Let's go!" Kateri said with a very accomplished voice before merrily running down the tunnel.

Kateri was held back as her partner chucked a small rock in front him, setting off a single explosion. Then that explosion set off another, and another, and then an entire mass explosion occurred, sending the bodies of the opponents Kateri had weakened not too long ago flying in all directions, and in multiple pieces... Soon the duo had traversed into an area filled with a rather rare ore, something that her partner couldn't understand why it hadn't been mined yet. "More than likely, he was in the process and we interrupted it." Kateri said, pointing to a pair of pick axes further down the shaft that were sitting in front a wall with holes smashed into it. "I'll most definitely come back for some... I'll need it for a special... 'project' later on." Kateri said, and then began moving down the mine shaft. Kateri heard the unfortunate sound of moving feet, the sure signal that more enemies are coming. "Damn, there's no end to the assholes in this place is there?" she said outloud, not particularly to anyone. She pulled out her revolver again and got ready for the fight. From the sound of it, there was quite a few on the way.

Kateri pointed the revolver at a man who came around the corner and pulled the trigger. The round was a couple inches off, but still hit the man in the head. He hit the floor and began seizing up, and shaking violently. "Woops." Kateri said while still examining the wall, but having heard the situation. She walked across the way and picked up a pick axe and slammed it on the wall with her free hand. A chunk of the precious metal came off, just in time for her to hear the rest of that man's party coming around the corner, likely from the sound of the gun shot. "These guys don't stop do they..." Kateri said, not particularly to anyone. She put the pick axe down and sighed, wishing she had gone at this alone. Had she done that, she could have gone ahead and slipped past everyone. "When I get outta here I'm gunna get some candy... maybe try a different flavor of that cotton candy." she said as she began stepping forwards, getting ready to turn the tunnel into an ice box.

Kateri didn't bother smiling, she simply charged forwards allowing her black cloak to fall off her shoulders, revealing just how long her hair was. With no sunlight, he hair remained its standard blue color as she moved to the opponent. The demolitions expert snapped his fingers, causing the air in front Kateri to warp slightly and alert her to roll forwards just before an explosion was set off. She then opened her hand, holding a ball of ice in it and slammed the ball on the demolitions expert. Afterwards, a large amount of icy winds whirled around the room, making it so her attacks would be infused with additional power and deal more damage. She then placed her hand on the floor, causing a set of pillars to rise up and slam into the Demolitions expert, rendering him unable to run. He got ready to snap his fingers once more, likely to break the ice open, but his action was cut short when Kateri grabbed his hand. By results of her Embrace Winter, the touch began freezing his hand over, and just as he snapped the fingers were so iced up that no sound was produced, therefore no explosions. She smirked, and began walking away towards the entrance to the cavern. From here, she would see her partner's actions against the man. She leaned against the opening and began whistling a calm song.
