Wanted! Demolitions Expert

Yay!  A mineshaft!  All she needs now is an ax and a diamond pickax and she would be ready to take on this cave to find all the gold and hopefully some pumpkin seeds inside of a chest.  However, this is the real world and not something conceivable in a movie or a comic book.  A sigh came from Ana as she stood at the mouth of the mineshaft and tapped her foot upon the ground.  Nao was her partner on this job and she was more than excited to team up with her team once again.  She left very unceremoniously to visit her father to help her develop armor and weapons.

Clearing her throat, she did a double-check on her equipment to ensure everything was in working order.  After a quick check, she nodded her head in response and simply waited for Nao to show up.  The mineshaft was cleared out recently due to the criminal using this place as his 'hangout', having killed quite a few of the miners in order to make this place completely his.

Anastasia waved feverishly at her friend as he arrived on scene.  The last time she saw him, he was having a grand ole time with Almyra.  Oooo!  She has to ask him about it sometime in the future.  But for now, the job is the priority.  This isn't without Ana thrusting herself onto the man and giving him a hug.  "Took your time getting out of George The Myrmidon?" she simply asked before releasing her iron grip upon the man and made their way into the mineshaft.

As the duo entered the mines, she noticed a man shouting and raved like an absolute lunatic.  This caused Anastasia to stop for a moment and turned to look at Nao.  "Oh, right.  Forgot to tell you that you shouldn't expect any support from me.  I decided to change my magic.  Was quite expensive, actually," she said as a blinding white light appeared in her hands before a blade appeared in her hands.  A little grin came across her face before turning to look towards the maniac.  The man hurled a stick of dynamite to where it would land between the group.  Using this as a chance to scoot forward, she dashed towards the man, appearing to disappear for a split second only to appear directly in front of the man and took a swing across his torso once, taking a step forward and turned the blade over to slash at the man's back.  

"Nao!  Burn him!" she said as she quickly dashed backwards once again waiting for Nao to put in work against this scrub crazy.  After her couple of slashes, the crazy reeled a bit before attempting to light another stick of dynamite.

The dynamite reverberated through the halls of the mineshaft, shaking the entire area; causing a bit of dust to fall off of the walls and ceiling above them.  Nodding her head for a moment, she turned back towards Nao and gave him a thumbs up and a big smile.  "Alright!" she said in fanfare of their small victory.  Though, it wasn't that psycho they were here for, no.  They were here for their boss.  "If this is anything like anything I've read in books, the boss will probably be in the deepest part of the cave, so let's get a move on, alright?" she said, being extremely pumped up.  

Turning around, Anastasia made her way down the mineshaft only to see a strange creature appear directly in front of her.  It was as if the creature was waiting on the ceiling to pop down onto it's prey.  Anastasia pulled her weapon back for a slash only to stop herself once the spider began to expand to about twice it's normal size.  She doesn't know what's about to happen, but in her wisdom of reading manga and books, she knows something bad's about to happen.  Out of instinct, she flash stepped backwards only for the spider to explode in a fiery blast.  This, once again, shook the mineshaft calling forth more enemies.

Nao quickly responded with his laser beam to the man's legs.  That oughta slow him down!  With a nod, Anastasia dashed in towards the psycho, slashing his right hand which held the dynamite, causing him to drop the lit weapon and stabbed him in the gut, causing him to fall down upon the dynamite.  Without needing to dash out of the way, Anastasia ran back towards Nao allowing the lit stick of dynamite to explode, sending gore everywhere, even onto Anastasia's dress.  

"Ew ew, gross!" she said before swinging her body around, trying to knock off the nastiness from her dress without actually touching it.  As she did this, her sword vanished from her hands.  A little groan came over her face as she didn't like the restriction of summoned weapons or armor having a set amount of time they can't stay out in the real world.  It's like they are bound to stay within the pocket dimension.  "I really wished these weapons want to stay in the real world, damnit," she said before shaking off the guts and gore from her dress.  Thankfully, none of it got onto her face.

Anastasia was pushed to the ground by Nao as a stick of dynamite was thrown their way.  She fell upon her left hip and her palms, looking up at the 'boss' of this dungeon.  "So, this is the boss of the dungeon, huh?" she asked before looking around, noticing they are stuck in a small area.  Anastasia stood up and her body began to glow with a very strong glow upon her left arm.  After the glow, Anastasia found herself in heavy armor with a strange weapon replacing her left arm.  

Aiming her arm towards Pete, she let out a few shots which strike him in the torso.  However, strangely enough, the elderly man didn't seem fazed by any of the shots sent his way.  A look of annoyance came across Anastasia's face before quickly utilizing a dash back towards Nao, aiming her weapon towards the man.  

"I'm gonna need you to back me up real quick.  Don't let him get too close or we're both gonna be in a world of hurt," she simply stated before the barrel of the weapon began to pull in air and energy.  She's probably going to have to use this later on to clear a path out of here.  But due to their current situation, the priority is to defeat this guy before he takes up too much space.  Having high explosives in a small area makes this a very scary place to be in.

"He can blow up the air?  What the hell?" she commented, noticing the fact that the three of them are in a small, enclosed space.  This isn't good.  Who knows what the range of this man's attack is.  No matter.  Anastasia pointed her main hand at the man before two demons spawned up from magic circles upon the ground.  The demons appeared to be large shisa dogs.  With a quick launch, the two demons jumped towards the man, biting him in multiple locations.  Anastasia grinned a bit before launching a couple orbs at the man.  

Groaning out of annoyance, the man stomped his foot once before the air around him ignited, setting the shisa on fire before causing them to go away.  Anastasia was already outside of range of the attack, looking in awe of what she just saw.  "What the hell is that?  You weren't kidding, Nao.  This guy is crazy," she simply stated, noticing her back was against the wall that was formed from the cave-in.  The old man continued his advance towards them.  

"I don't know what to do, Nao.  What should we do?  Does he have some sort of weak spot or something?" Anastasia was beginning to panic.  She didn't want to get stuck in that massive explosion; who knows if they would be able to survive that.  The old man continued his way towards them, slowly turning the remaining mineshaft into a full AoE.  If he progresses too much, they would both be caught in the blast, no matter where they went.

Covering her helmet with her hands, a bright flash of light filled the caverns, turning the narrow hallway into a pure luminescence that rivaled looking directly into the sun.  Her heads up display started to grow fuzzy, though her actual vision remained in tact.  Once the flash of light vanished, she noticed Nao pushing the old fart over.  "Tag, you're it!" she said before walking over to the fallen man, kicking him in the side while he was down and aimed the barrel of her weapon directly into the man's face and fired away several times causing smoke to push up between herself and Easy Pete.

Once the smoke cleared away, she noticed the man laying there only to laugh hysterically.  "Oh, you young idiots, thinking you can take me out."  Unseen chemicals filled the air once more and a massive explosion sent Anastasia blown back into a wall from where the old demolitions expert laid.  This caused massive damage to Anastasia's armor and weapon, causing the two of them to fade away.  

Her clothing was even burning from the chemical explosion.  Thankfully, her armor was there long enough to protect her from death by hitting the wall too hard.  However, she was now extremely hurt from the blast.  Picking herself up, she grumbled.  Easy Pete slowly stood back up, appearing to be in his final throes before losing this battle.  Anastasia, too, picked herself up from the ground and equipped another armor upon herself.  This armor was pink.

There wasn't a whole lot Anastasia could do at this moment.  While she was good at both close range and long range, something about the oxygen being slowly burned away became a problem to her.  She may be the first to experience this problem as beads of sweat gathered upon her forehead and draining down to her eyes under her helmet.  This made things extremely hard to see while in her armor.  The insides of the armor grew steadily warmer as her breath is constantly recycled due to oxygen being slowly burnt away by this psychopath.  

As she was about to jump in and inflict bodily injury upon the man, she noticed the man holding his head in fear.  She realized that it was something that Nao must have done.  Nobody would enact their fears of ocelots within an enclosed mineshaft, unless they truly were mentally unstable.  Her best guess is that Nao used some form of fear spell.  Giving Nao the thumbs up, she went in for another attack only to see beams of light appear from Nao's eyes, slowly carving the man up.  After the beams of light appeared to burn into Easy Pete, Ana ran up towards Easy Pete, spun around him and punched him into the wall that would be their escape.

After the punch, Anastasia took a knee before gasping for air.  "Nao.  We can't screw around in here for too much longer.  The oxygen levels in this mineshaft are dissipating," she said in a struggle.  "That moron kept burning our oxygen," she said before standing up and planted her left foot into the man's face, knocking him out cold.  Now that they have their target, they have other worries; like getting out of this cave alive.

Rocks fall, everyone dies.  In this case, only their target.  Oxygen completely depleted for their target with him shouting his final death wails before falling limp  "Shit!  C'mon!" she shouted out before pushing forward towards the wall of stone that they had to clear out.  She reached in towards the hole, gulping some oxygen before feeling more energized than she did earlier; when she didn't have any oxygen left to breath.  However, it was that hole that she could use.  She was still rather bummed about not being able to bring the target back alive.  Fortunately, this job didn't call for proof of the man's death.

A white glow shined upon Anastasia's hand before she grabbed the body of the dead target and moved him out of the way.  "Nao, give me a bit of space, huh?" she said before setting her weapon to explosive.  She backed up, letting loose 4 shots from her weapon directly into the hole, causing miniature explosions, widening the hole and causing the ceiling to dust them with dirt.  

She stepped back and fired off a couple more rounds, causing them to explode more.  "Crap.  We need to pound this with a bit more fire power," she stated before beginning to reload her weapon.  She stepped back in the event that Nao wanted to do some more demolishing.

Anastasia noticed Nao frisking the corpse of Easy Dead Pete to find some dynamite.  Her eyes sparked as she took a step back as ordered to.  Their way out was on Pete the whole time.  Good!  At least this corpse was good for SOMETHING!  Sure wouldn't net them a profit at all.  Thanks, RNG.  Stepping back, Anastasia covered her ears and squatted down.  The explosion blew up the rocks blocking their path outward.  This cleared out all of the rocks, and even Easy Dead Pete.  Not that they had any use for the corpse anyway.

Once the rocks were cleared, the entire mineshaft began to collapse on itself.  It was like after defeating the final boss and the castle begins to collapse because of reasons.  Nodding her head, she quickly dawned on her Shield Maiden Armor and fired up the flight engine upon her armor.  Floating towards Nao, she grabbed a hold of the man and quickly zipped the two of them out of the tunnel before ultimately collapsing.  

Once outside, Anastasia removed her armor, setting Nao down.  "Well, aint that a bust.  Well, I guess this is mission complete?"
