The Heratic (Solo/Job)

The both of them were in the village now, and the scared Frozen Duck was right behind the both of them, obviously scared. He's kind of cute, in the parent's basement sort of way. Why is he following us again? He can't be the Frozen Duck can he? Ignite asked as she pointed her thumb over he shoulder. Elyx turned over to see the man still a distance away behind them, and he could not help but admit that Ignite was right. The poor thing looked so helpless, maybe that was how he got his name. If Elyx were to give a guess at the story that this man shared, it would probably be like this. A coward attempts to learn Ice Magic, but never uses it and forces other people to do the work that he could be doing on his own. Probably a scared nerd as a child and ended up with a successful career in which he did not even not to talk to anyone, but he could still get plenty of jewels. Now he was here, paying the both of them heavily just for him to stand behind these two ass they did their work, and probably will be the one to take all of the credit once all of this was done, due to his arrogant attitude that was. The both of them were walking normally, gaining a few looks from the people in the town, but then one thing cut them off. A radio, some people were talking into them, and some others would respond, all of them looked at the both of them. Soon, they all began to make their way towards the both of them, and... Maybe the Frozen Duck as well. Ignite, should we make a run for it? Elyx asked, only for the Frozen Duck to be running away, screaming as a few men were chasing him. Great, he caused a lot of trouble, how many guards did he attract with his screaming? So many enemies... They had to run now, they have to find the jail.

'Monster Dice' :

Nice try! We have you surrounded! Surrender now and go quietly, and your death will be at a minimum! One of them yelled, Ignite looking to Elyx for advice on what to do now. There was only one way to get inside and to keep at least Ignite and the Frozen Duck safe. It was risky, and Elyx himself might die at the end of all of it, but as a guardian of Fiore, he needed to do what's best for it. Sadly, he would have the regret of not being able to destroy the dictatorship of Shadelle, and once the Armada Ark was finished, it was all over for the world. But once again, Elyx wanted to serve the land he lived in first before worrying about any other. Besides, if he had any chance in being able to save the Raccoon, it was in jail. The boy never went there, for good reasons obviously, but he was not planning to do a Heist with this many guards in the way. Elyx leaned his back against Ignite's then turned his head to the side so that he could whisper into her ear. Locate the Chopping Block Tomorrow morning, I'll be waiting with Raccoon boy. Get Frozen Duck out of here, now! Elyx ordered, with that, he pushed her into a crowd of guard towards the Frozen Ducks position, in which her impact with them ended up with them losing. Elyx then placed his hands up into the air, one of the guards smirking as he then walked up to the boy, a smirk on his face. He then tried to strike the boy, who saw the attack coming with his high awareness, a left fist to the face being countered by an uppercut to the chin, painful blow, but it was most certainly something less painful than the chopping block. The man deserved the teeth being knocked from his face. The group of guards then put magic handcuffs onto him, making him unable to move his hands. All items were being confiscated, nothing to defend himself... There was one thing though that could get him out.

Ignite was running throw the crowds, many of them trying to arrest her in the process, but the flames from her body made sure they all stepped back as she stepped forward. The search for the Duck was on, she was pushed towards him anyways. Whatever Elyx was thinking had better be a good one. The boy was unable to take on all of the guards, not with Shattered Iris Release, it was impossible. Tomorrow, why? Was he not planning to see her for the rest of the day? Ignite would need to find some sort inn right? Currently, she had no idea how many jewels she had, enough for an inn for 2, but how big of a bullet would that be? For one thing, these were Elyx's jewels as well, she should probably not spend them all so quickly. She continued to storm until she found the Frozen Duck, almost being arrested until Ignite came up and shot a pillar of fire around the duck. This probably cared him, but it scared the guards more, which was the point. Ignite jumped into the pillar of fire and grabbed the duck, carrying him like a little child would. Once again, the duck began to yell out of fear, causing the She Phoenix to roll her eyes. The guards were about to begin running, only to notice Ignite left a trail of fire, and they could just be arresting Elyx rather than wasting their time. Meanwhile... Ignite turned back to see Elyx getting on his knees as cuffs were being placed onto his wrists. What!? NO! The She Phoenix exclaimed as she let the Frozen Duck back onto his feet. Before she could go, the ice mage gripped the back of her shirt. No! While they are arresting him, we can get out of here! He's stalling for time! The ice mage lied, a blank lie. It was see through, he just wanted to get out, and sadly, Ignite might be forced to do just that.

Argh! You are gonna pay for that one kid! I am gonna snap this damn Violin in half! The bloody nosed guard exclaimed while holding the instrument in his hand. The boy smirked as he watched what was going to happen to the Violin. The man raised his knees and smashed the wood against his kneecap, then his eyes shot wide open. He messed up badly, that was a Lerale Violin. It can get stolen, but not broken. The man shouted with much pain and his armor was bent as well. From the leak of blood, a ledge of the armor was revealed. Wow, that must have been a strong hit, too bad the instrument would not give into any strength. The men were trying to check on the bloody nosed man, and now bloody kneed man. He was just a mess, and Elyx could do nothing but smirk. That's an instrument you can't break, it's called a Lerale Instrument. It's a part of me, you can't break that until you break me, and to do that, you are just simply going to have to kill me. Elyx provoked, trying to get his head on the chopping block. That was going to be his way out of here. It was fun to mess with the guards anyways, they so desperately want to break him, but he was physically breaking them without lifting too much, and mentally hurting them with taunts. The bloody guard looked down to Elyx with a snarl on his face, which then lifted to a crooked smile as he words left his mouth. It seems we are lucky to be killing you then. The answer is simple then, your punishment is the chopping block tomorrow morning for entry into a town, and assault on not just me, but multiple officers! Arrest this bastard!

Elyx is getting arrested... Damn it! Ignite exclaimed as she punched the wall to the side, concrete being shattered to merely nothing but rock dust. How nice, it would be even nicer if she did not break property that did not belong to her. The Frozen Duck man was a bit scared around her already, but now that she just did that, he was terrified out of his wits. It was funny, he used to be so smug and act like he was more worthy, then scared in reality that she would do the same to him she did to the wall. We have to find a room somewhere in this town... Please, we can not stay here for so long or they will find us too, then that boys efforts would be worth nothing! The Frozen Duck said, and living up to his title, he began to run for an inn. Ignite had no choice but to follow, but her anger could be sensed by those around her as if she were a mage with high amounts of power. To lose her teacher, for him to be on the chopping block, Ignite wanted the life of the man who was doing that to him. Maybe she could make him suffer before that, but to steal her best friend, her teacher, the one that fed her and took care of her. That man is trying to take that man away from her, and that meant they were gonna pay for that. Ignite did not even want him to die a fast death, she wished nothing but a screaming death for that guard. Once she sees him, that is exactly what she is going to serve. But in the meantime, she was just going to have to run into an inn, the Frozen Duck was right, she should not be sulking right now. It would only make her escape that Elyx created in vain.

Wow, never in his life did Elyx expect himself to be in jail. But here he was, his clothing was the same, the shackles were off, it was not as restricting as the boy expected. The Violin was not given to him since it was able to resist being broken, which can also make it seem like a weapon if he used it properly. Naturally, the Violinist would not do that, but there was no way that the jailors could figure that out. He laid down on the rough mattress that was given to him, his head placed against it as well, it was going to be a rough night. The guard was actively looking over him, not looking for a conversation, and obviously not there to entertain, so the boy was not going to bother him with such a ridiculous request. The jail cell was quiet, one could go insane if they were actually thinking they were going die the next day. They would be looking at their bodies over and over again, they would hear the silence, take in as much air as they can, and shiver due to the lack of circulation. The lack of sleep would also make them insane as well, it was a sad ending for them for their head to end up being cut off, their insanities becoming realities, they are calling out to someone, then they are put to death. Mental torture, this jail used a cruel system instead of simply chopping them off on the same day. Then again, if that were the system, Elyx would not be able to carry out this plan. All he had to do was endure this night, lay down to the side like he already did, closed his eyes, then sleep until the next morning, in which they will make an attempt to execute him. They were in for quite a surprise.

Meanwhile, at the inn, Ignite had to put a 20,000 jewel ticket down for two rooms, one for her and one for the man on the other side. Despite the both of the being in different rooms, the walls were thin enough for them to hear each other as they talked. Ignite could not help but worry about Elyx, they caught him and put him in jail. What could they possibly be doing to him? If they dared to hit him in any sort of way, and she found out, the bloody nosed guard would have to find it smashed into multiple pieces, and those that added onto the torment will end up the same way. Ignite right now was too scared to sleep, she was slamming the back of her fist against her bed, she had done everything she could to be comfortable, but the thought of losing Elyx was not at all good for her. The Violinist said he had a plan, did getting arrested become part of the plan? That was stupid on so many levels, even if whatever he planned to do had worked. Elyx... Why did you not tell me your plan? It is not like I do not have any faith in you, but I am scared, I do not know what I would do if I were alone. The Magic Council would probably take me in as a pet, and being a rare breed, they would probably try to sell me over and over. Ignite thought, as if she were talking to Elyx. She then remembered a few words from the Violinist, something that she finally understood when she recalled it. If there is ever a day in which we might be apart, I would like for you to look at the moon. I will do the same thing at Midnight, we will both be watching the same moon if we did that. Ignite remembered. The inn clock was 5 until midnight... When she looked at the moon, a small grin clipped onto her face.

Elyx was looking through the barred window, the moon was shining. There was no true track in time except for days. So instead of taking the risk, he was looking at the moon so that he and Ignite would be watching the same one. This was a tactic the Nimpha had taught him whenever he wanted to see someone while being so far away, to at least see them once in the day. Whenever Midnight struck, both sides would be looking at the moon, the same moon that they would be staring at at the same time. It may not be as satisfying as seeing them in the real world, but it was satisfying enough to at least help two people when they dearly missed each other. It broke Elyx to have to leave Ignite in the world, but the Raccoon was in the jail, which turned out to be impossible to break into at the rate they were going. The security was way too high for them to break through. The boy stared at the moon for as long as he could, the eyes begging to close, but the boy using his willpower to keep them wide awake. Elyx could imagine the headlines, Former Rising Star of Fiore locked in the cell of Pergrande, a land of Fiore. Hopefully people understood how crazy of a land this was and would just simply let it go. He was arrested for no reason, yet they were thinking that they were going to put his head on the chopping block. It was cute the way they could do that so simply. The boy finally bobbed his head to the side with fatigue, it was time for him to sleep at this point. It was 1:00 A.M now, he most certainly looked eyes with the moon at the same time Ignite did.

Elyx woke up in the morning with the sound of screaming. His cue, the boy had blurry eyes, but he was able to make out what things were. His balance though was a bit questionable. The boy was not just a holder magician, but not he had a bit of castor as well. The screaming raccoon was trying to break free, crying, yelling for help, and he was certainly going to get it. Elyx put out his right palm, a pink ball of light was formed inside of the palm. Thee was no time to lose, he had to summon Cassie now to break free. The Guard was trying to unlock Elyx's cell by getting the key, ut by the time he returned, it was too late. The Guild Pet of Bounties have arrived, this was Cassie, a true weapon of mass destruction. Elyx looked to the ball of light and watched it form into attack mode, no one else in the guild seemed to have her summoned. Just fine, it was clear that he was the only one who actually did clear the mission of Cassie. The boy smiled as she then appeared, the jailor finally in. HEY! WHAT ARE YOU... What the... With that, the man got shot by Cassie in the kneecap, causing him to yell. But now that he got the cage open, which Elyx planned to destroy but things work out this was as well, he was able to get his items and get the Raccoon. Cassie, target, enemies that do not match the color of Brown or have the symbol of Black Rose on them! Elyx exclaimed before running to the side. He was now going to get his Violin, and then show real punishment, meanwhile, Cassie was on a high speed chase for her targets, who were now taking heavy bulletfire.

Ignite woke up in the morning first, and she was not going to waste any time. The sun was already up, she had to get to Elyx now, if not, she might have been too late. The She Phoenix jumped out of her bed instantly by curling her body back all of the way, and then springing forward onto her feet. Thank goodness the Violinist wasn't here. She put on her clothing with a haste, her usual skirt with tank top before running to the next room, in which the Frozen Duck can be seen without a blanket covering him, just his boxers. Ignite rolled her eyes at the sight, she wanted to smack the Duck man awake, but she then remembered that she was not Elyx. So instead, she violently shook the man by his shoulders, her strength being fast enough to cause the man to blur. If he had pants over his boxers, Ignite would be shaking the loose change out of the Frozen Ducks pants. Get up! We need to save Elyx and the Talking Raccoon! Ignite exclaimed as the man tried to force some words out, but at the speed he was being shaken, that was a difficult task for him. Once the She Phoenix heard a little bit of audio from the man, she gripped his right wrist and pulled him out of the bed. The both of them were now running to the jail, the She Phoenix in full clothing and the Frozen duck in almost no clothing, just a pair of boxers and a pot belly were equipped. The both of them had to get to the jail cell, for both Elyx and the raccoons sake. Hopefully they were all right, Ignite did not want to see Elyx as a bloody mess and a noisy squealer when being beaten. They were now of their way.

Target locked. Locating Black Rose master, master confirmed. Name, Elyx Reiaki gaining orders. Orders received, executing orders. Ignite said, her battle form being amazing as usual. Elyx in the meantime had to look around for the knapsack and Violin in the cell. Cassie should not be left alone for long, if she is too powerful, she might accidentally kill them. If she was too weak, she would get hurt badly. She was a support pet after all, if was best of she were to work alongside those from the guild. First things first, target the bag. The boy looked around to see where they were trying to taunt him, to think they would have him see his items, but for them to be out of reach. The boy then remembered his Violins ability, he was able to summon it to his hand whenever he was near it, or when it was inside of the knapsack. the boy put out both palms, watching the two balls of light begin to take form. After a few seconds, he looked at his left palm and shattered it to pieces, causing the pieces of light to swarm around his left hand. After a few seconds, the boy was able to confirm his Violin as near, it appeared in his hands. The door it was in was located to the right, where Cassie was shooting. Perfect, he can use a spell now to enhance his speed once again. He ran and played, a tough task, but one he got used to, he was able to do this easily, and little by little, he began to gain speed. He unlocked his full potential when the Violin shot out a circle of light from all around the sides of the instrument. Now he was off to chase the Raccoon, hopefully still alive when Elyx gets there.

Ignite began to run to the jail, in which she had to pinpoint using a map. With her right hand being occupied with the Frozen Ducks wrist, and her left with the map, she is unable to hold much else. Elyx never did get her a knapsack, he was the one who carried all of their items, it was not like Ignite needed it. But she had no ability to put the map in a pocket that didn't even exist. The She Phoenix continued to run through the town, the guards were keeping an eye on he, but this was unfamiliar territory, so it was more likely than not that she was not recognized. Ignite then noticed a huge prison-like structure in front of her, she had read about jailing systems, and now she was looking at one in front of her eyes. Though most people would be intimidated, she was not, she was determined to get Elyx out of there at all costs. Though she read about jails and prisons, she did not learn about the inside structures that many of them share, so this was going to be a maze. Last resort would be to burn the place down so that she could get out. The first resort was being able to find the chopping block. This jail was being heavily guarded, but there was no time to be going stealth. Ignite had to free a hand however to user her fire, and this being not so wise of a decision, she burned up the paper in her palm and casted out a fireball at the few guards, who shot their eyes wide before clumsily falling to dodge the attack. It was a good thing she was not aiming for them, the fireball hit the gate hard enough for it to open, and luckily, no explosion occurred at the end. Success! Now the security knows about her existence, but they had to catch her first. The more time they spend on her, the less they spend on execution, that thought alone put a smile on Ignite's face.

Elyx began to play the Violin, aiming for the higher notes and move his fingers a little bit faster to ramp up the pressure and to increase the amount of impact with every blow. The air around him began to move to the beta of the Violin, his speed felt much higher, and soon, the rush of the blood in his body made him blur as he ran. With the already high speed enhancement, and the lack of magic bracelet due to confiscation and confirmation of the item. The boys eyes locked onto one of the guilds holding the raccoon, Cassie aimed towards the other. The guard looked behind him, only to see one of the prisoners escaping form his cell two swords. Elyx had them sheathed whenever he used the spell he did, Wind Lerale: Chidori's Keep, which allowed him to speed up his awareness and speed. The guard put his hand in his pocket as the boy came closer to him, then reversed the motion to pull out a magic tazer. The other guard just simply got shot by Cassie, in the kneecap, so the man wasn't dead, he was just severely injured. The other guard tried to stab Elyx with the item, but the boy slid on his knees in order to duck under the attack, then quickly uppersliced the mans back, a red streak could be shown. That battle was over, now away from the chopping block. They couldn't be near that one, but then again, Ignite was supposed to be there. The guards were coming from behind anyways, it was probably best if they went to th- Don't you lay a hand on them you bastards! Ignite exclaimed from the front, and two shadows can be seen from the end of the hallways. There she was, full of energy as ever, Ignite Rosella. She was safe, his teachers weren't for nothing.

Frozen Duck boy, get the raccoon out of here! We're going to get out of here and tell the Magic Council of this flawed system!Ignite exclaimed, the Frozen Duck running over to the scared Raccoon man, and the both of them made a run for it. One of the guards tried to go after it, but Cassie then held the gun against his head, preventing him from moving any further. Cassie, hold your fire! Elyx exclaimed as he put his right hand to the side, stopping her from making the move. He kept his eyes locked on the guards though, and the one with the gun being held to his head backed away slowly. Cassie slowly tilted the gun to the man, making sure not to let the man get away. That was when Elyx had some choice words for the guards of the jail. You crazy bastards, thinking that someone who does not resemble for the looks of the villagers, you just simply arrest them and put them to death! I have some choice words for the Magic Council, you all better get ready for trial! Elyx exclaimed as he then turned his back around, Cassie following right behind him. Ignite looked over to them with her eyes half-closed, she was not going to let them off so easy with a warning. She stomped forward one time over to them, causing them to flinch back, a little bit of noise coming from their mouths. The fact that her eyes glowed orange in the dark already made her look like a beast. She turned her back on them, walking with Elyx now. The guards were left with that thought in their head, the Magic Council would not be happy with that result. To arrest people and execute them for that reason... That was just wrong.

The escape from the town was not that hard, no gurds were chasing them, many speaking on radios and looking at the four of them, but they did not make any more movements. That did not stop the trial that was to come, the first priority was to bring the both of them back to Seven. Once they do that, they would be out of the clear and the job is done. The trial would get people in trouble, and Elyx was full well prepared for that, but he knew he was innocent. Arrested for no reason, forced to counter in self defense, there were no actions that he could recall himself doing wrong. The boy went so far as to spending a night away from Black Rose in a jail ceol so that he was able to save the Talking Raccoon. Elyx left the cell in a little bit of a phased state, and he was going to be glad when the trial was done. This sort of action better not be shown again, or the Magic Council is going to jump into the scene... That is not what anyone wanted, to have the Council angered by you. The four of them were there... It was a quiet trip, but the group of them made it to seven. Thank you so much for bringing Rico back to me, I need to help you at least. This is the reward I promised you. The Frozen Duck said with a smile on his face as he then handed the bag over to Elyx, who put the bag into his knapsack, then put a small grin on his face. He liked being thanked by the clients he works for, it made him feel a little better. Whenever you need help for a job you're going on, you know exactly who to call on. And with that, Elyx and Ignite both turned their backs and ran as fast as possible, at usual speed now. They were not... Going to do that.

A few days later, it was the day after the trial, and just like the boy expected, the jury was all with him on this one. The town of Pergrande is going to be monitored heavily, and they event gave the boy the ability to gain more magic legally so that he could prevent himself from being locked in a jail cell once again. This time, the boy decided to hold onto the gift from the Council instead of use it, he was not sure if he wanted to use the magic right now, an extra bit of magic was nice and all, but the boy knew that he was not sure of any other spells. And that was when Elyx realized something, he was able to do more wonderful things with this next magic, to help others instead of himself. He and Ignite both laid on their different beds, finally resting after the trial in which Ignite would not stop bugging Elyx about. She was scared that he was going to end up going to jail for a real reason. The Violinist understood her though, she was worrying a lot about him about the worst things. He left her alone for a day, and that was not something he should have done. The boy could not let Ignite go to jail, and he did not see any other way of getting the job done. Ignite never held a grudge on Elyx for that, though she may sometimes call him stupid for that incident, but then shows that she was just joking by slugging him on the arm. The boy looked up at the ceiling, then looked to the side to see a pair of light orange eyes looking back at him. This is going to work, we are going to achieve greatness like Nimpha wants us to... If we keep doing this.
