Re: Nightmarish Strings
Dmitry remained silent a bit after Mao had spoken. Why had he hidden the truth in the first place? usually he was brutally honest, not worrying about people's feelings. As he was thinking on this, Lisa came down through the tree's and landed on Mao's shoulder. "It's fine, she's one of us." He assured Mao. The little wyvern then began drawing a map in the sand. So that's what Mopey had planned. "Good job, Lisa." Dmitry said before reaching out to pet the little one, only for it to bite his finger and coil up Mao's arm. Dmitry could hear Hati laughing as he held his finger, cursing the little wretch.
"Oh...yeah." Dmitry responded to Mao's suggestion, still feeling like shit over what he did, but resolving to end this so they could all get out of there. At this point, he could care less about finding out what had caused this, more worried about getting Mao out alive. However, he couldn't do that until they got rid of this thing or they would simply be walking in circles. The two began walking towards the indicated direction, Dmitry keeping mostly quiet. Soon, however, he felt an all too familiar presence creeping up on them. His heart rate began to quicken and he began to sweat. Dmitry didn't need to look at it. 'It' was stalking them. He had to tell her this time.
"It's here," Dmitry said in a course voice. "Don't look at it. Don't go after it. What's out there right now is just an extension. It won't attack us yet. Not until we get closer." Dmitry began to pant lightly and his pupils were fading in and out of their silver glow. But he continued his explanation, ignoring the strain on his psyche. "We have to keep moving or our sanity will be at risk. Medium or not, that thing will seep into your mind."
Unbeknownst to Dmitry, Hati had begun to recognize this being, but decided to keep it to himself until he could confirm his hunch.

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Seikatsu had been walking for hours marking the trees by making small cuts with a stone he'd picked up along the way. The cuts were to ensure he hadn't come across the same tree more than once. Without his wyvern gripping at his arm, without Dmitry and Mao here, Seikatsu felt a bit on edge. He kept walking, talking with Altsoba to maintain his sanity as the piercing powers of 'him' were seeping through Seikatsu's body; forcing Altsoba's will to take him over.
'Just keep resisting dear.' Altsoba said to Seikatsu, encouraging him to keep fighting.
'I... refuse to give in!' Seikatsu said, straining from the force.
Seikatsu passed a tree with a cut in it, but this cut wasn't made by him. Judging from the size on each end, it was a knife mark and it was in the direction Seikatsu was heading. Seikatsu felt the cut, examining it for anything odd and realized it had a strange residue. The marking wasn't made by a demon, or a demonic thrall, but by a human. The marking was quite fresh, only a few week or so old, and Seikatsu figured it must be from the party that Mao was hoping to find a remnant of.
Wind, repeatedly brushing against Seikatsu's back was felt. The huffing and puffing of a nervous mouth was heard repeatedly matching the tempo of the wind. The warm, moist air hitting the cloak, creeping on Seikatsu's back and moving to his ear...
Seikatsu drew his Thorn of Betrayal while spinning around, slashing at the air behind him, assuming it to be an enemy. Seikatsu's eyes were wide open as he saw nothing there. Turning around, he felt a breath caressing his face, a large black shadowy... thing glaring down at him. Breathing on Seikatsu slowly, as a man preparing to make his first kill in an arena. Seikatsu backed away a little and the being moved forward at the same speed. It didn't attack, it just stared down at him.
'Don't panic my love.' Altsoba said, interrupting the moment.
'It's merely an extension of him, it's meant to weaken your will.' She informed the frightened wizard.
Seikatsu calmed down and stood in place, forcing himself to not run.
The shadowy figure disappeared, and Seikatsu focused his mind on his link with Lisa.
LISA VISION!
Lisa could see Dmitry being tense, forcing himself to continue the trek into enemy territory. Seikatsu's thought reaching out to her, 'Lisa.' Seikatsu said.
The tiny wyvern let off a few clicks while looking about. While Lisa was consious of her link with her master, she was still not used to him taking advantage of the ability. Lisa let off a high-pitched clicking sound, letting Seikatsu know he had her attention.
'Get Ms. Nakiri's attention, I want her to see something...' Seikatsu ordered.
Lisa uncoiled herself from Mao's arm and crawled upwards. She crawled along Mao's back and gripped her head with the razor sharp claws on her wings.
'Good enough, make her look at Dmitry.' Seikatsu said, feeling as though she hadn't noticed. That, and Seikatsu wasn't there to ensure his allies well being himself.
Lisa turned sharply in Dmitry's direction while making a rapid, high-pitched sound causing Mao to be able to see the severely disturbed summoner, trying his hardest to maintain his will. Lisa let go of Mao's head and began to fly in circles around the two as she didn't want to be a burden on Mao's shoulders, and had no desire to land on Dmitry.

Re: Nightmarish Strings
It wasn’t fair.
Whatever this…presence was, this mysterious force, it continued to chip away at Dmitry – and somewhere away from them, Seikatsu as well. It was almost frustrating how powerless she felt right now, and though fighting was one of Mao’s least favorite activities, for perhaps the first time since she could remember the girl really wanted to punch something in the face. However even donning one of her gauntlets would be utterly silly right now with that taunting force following them in the distance. Whatever it was controlled by, a part of, or what have you might also be impervious to someone more physically…based…
Well, it might be a bit of a long shot, but if she could do something, anything to put at least one of their minds at ease, then perhaps all their chances of survival might increase.
Conscious as she could be to harmful otherworldly beings, the girl’s only saving grace in this instance laid in the same crystals she’d discovered an affinity and fondness over. Many of them she felt brought not only various forms of healing to the wearer, but also a similar number of forms of protection. Unable to recall a time before, she couldn’t rightly say how long the affinity existed, likely some time beyond the edge of her short memory, yet as they’d traversed this controlled forest she’d become more aware of that emotional and mental shield as the forces pressed and tested it.
Instead her difficulties laid in a very strange area compared to the mediums as Lisa forced her to visually observe Dmitry’s condition. The idea struck her then, as the tiny wyvern proceeded to circle them from above – though whether or not it might have any effect was another story.
Steeling herself, Mao clenched both hands, took a deep breathe, and then unfolded one to take one of the gray-haired man’s hands as a greenish light filtered through the fingers of her other one. ”I honestly have no clue what you two are experiencing,” Mao began, gently forcing the man’s fist open and lightly placing the oblong gemstone into his palm, ”I don’t even know if this will help in the slightest, but…I’d like to try, if for no other reason than to help you in whatever little way that I can.” Encompassing both Dmitry’s hand and the stone between her’s, it gave off a slight glow as she activated tidbits of the memories locked inside and the energy seeped through his skin to let him watch the flashes.
The sudden, dynamic entry of a man from above and the quickly dealt justice in the name of a nap disturbed, followed just as swiftly by the hilarity of a monstrously hungry stomach. Chatting at the counter of a mostly empty restaurant. The sheer joy at being introduced to such a large collection of knowledge and the hidden laugh at her reaction. The second coming of the monster hidden in his stomach. They were all an amalgamation of a day she’d thoroughly enjoyed, though the girl couldn’t be sure if they’d evoke similar, light emotions when he was so plagued by another being.
As the memories flashed before his eyes Mao’s orbs darted towards the shadowy figure in the distance, narrowing even as an unseen force shoved harshly at that mental barrier. So far mentally touching upon fond memories – even if most involved reliving fond fictional tales for a second. Returning her gaze to Dmitry however, she continued, ”I’m just speaking in hopes, but all the same…if even a little bit of positive energy from a memory can help you, then it’s worth it. Please, hold onto it for a little bit, until we’re out of this at least. If it starts getting hard just pour a little magical energy into it and you can temporarily feel some of the memories again.” It was hard, being so unsure if the trick would work nearly as well on him as it did her, but it was all she could do for now. ’I can’t just go wasting sunstone’s power…not without being able to help both at the same time at least.’

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Dmitry felt a calmness when he saw the memories they made that day. He smiled and gripped Mao's hand just a little bit tighter, before looking at her with eyes now in full glow. "Thanks Mao," He said to the girl, determination showing through. "But I don't need magic to help me remember that day. It's...important to me too." He slowly let go of her hand, though doing so left him strangely disappointed. Dmitry then walked forward, ready to end this. He wouldn't stop until he finally reached the center of the forest. To most, it would seem that there was nothing in the area. But Dmitry could feel it. A presence swallowing up the area, perverting this forest.
Suddenly, Dmitry felt something foreign inside his mind, a presence intruding upon his psyche.
'What...what is this?...boy!...Hold...' Hati's voice was slowly drowned out by the presence. 'Well now, it seems Hati is still playing at being a human...' A dark, grating voice replaced Hati's. 'So you are his protege...the boy he saved. A sage in the making, huh?' The voice laughed wickedly after that and the thing that had been following the mage trio appeared before Mao and Dmitry. 'Now then...let's see how the chain fits on this one!'
As soon as he heard those words, an enormous pain wracked Dmitry's mind. He dropped to his hands and knees and began coughing up blood onto the ground. Is it...trying to form a bond with me? Dmitry thought too himself. No...this is differant... Indeed, this was known as possession. Dmitry gritted his teeth and forced himself to stand. His entire body seemed to rebel against him, as pain coursed throughout his flesh and bones. "No..." The pained mage said aloud. "I won't let you...I won't let you take me...or anyone else!" Memories of a burning village flashed through his mind, mixed in with the day he spent with Mao. the faces of her, Katerii, Seikatsu, and even Hati swirled about his head. That's right. He had people he cared about. He couldn't let it end here. He stepped toward the being, full of defiance. 'What?!' It cried out in Dmitry's mind. the air shook as two wills clashed against each other. A low growl could be heard escaping Dmitry's throat. His eyes were full of resolve, intent on beating this thing. 'No...this isn't supposed to happen! Damn you Hati! And damn you too, you little vermin!'
A pulse could be felt as the fog was blown back, the creature reeling and letting out a high pitch screech. Dmitry stood firmly where he was, the glow from his pupils having expanded to his irises and the rest of his eyes pitch black, just as they were when he contracted the spirit of earth in the Labyrinth.
Hati's voice was finally heard by the summoner again.
'Well done, boy.'

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Altsoba heard the sound of the struggle and decided that it was time to go. Seikatsu had permitted her to settle a score and use his body to do so, under the sole terms that she didn't harm her allies.
Black wisps began to levitate about the battlefield as the grey haired summoner broke free of the possession attempt by the being before them.
Tendrils arose while Seikatsu's possessed body stepped out of the woods with his Scythe of Betrayal held in one hand. A voice resonated throughout the field. The voice was partially Seikatsu's, partially a feminine voice that gave off a sadistic queen's tone, and partly a demonic overlay. The voice said angrily,
"Du...
och...
jag...
är...
odöda!"
And Seikatsu, possessed by his demon, stopped in front the shadowy being. Seikatsu's eyes glowing bright crimson, and his demonic scare radiating a crimson and black aura. The scars on the hand holding Seikatsu's scythe giving the same colors off.
"It's been a while..." the monster said in Seikatsu's direction.
"Indeed old 'friend'..." Altsoba replied, using Seikatsu as her medium.
"Tell me, how does it feel to be a woman in a man's body?" he teased.
"Better than being a parasite, living off of sacrificing females by sending them thousand year old items." Altsoba said referring to the lacrima and note.
"At least I have my own powers!
What have you, wench, a faulty bag of meat who can barely manage proper clothes!" the being stated, making fun of Seikatsu's choice in wearing a cloak.
Altsoba closed Seikatsu's eyes as she thought of the old times, when she became a demon. She remembered luring people in herself, killing them brutally, and continuing as though it was all fine and dandy. She remembered her last murder, a young man, searching for his beloved woman in the forests.
"As I recall... that lacrima describes-"
"Me killing off that entire group of men!" Altsoba impatiently interrupted the shadowy man.
"Words are lost on a lowly demon such as yourself.
I have evolved myself to the next level of demonic power.
I have contracted a powerful mortal to me, and made him my man!
This 'faulty bag of meat' has proven to be the most reliable ally I've had in both of my lives!" Altsoba declared matter of factly.
"Bah! That mortal has little power, compared to my darkness!" the figure boasted.
"Darkness?
You believe your power to be true darkness?
I shall show you the heart and soul of a wizard who has been through the gates of death itself, and came back from lands no mortal has ventured before..." Alstoba said with a sadistic smile on Seikatsu's face.
Altsoba slammed the loop end of the Scythe of Betrayal on the floor, causing the world to grow darker and darker with each word she spoke thereafter.
"Ljus!
Lyser!
Starkast!
På!
Natten!" Altsoba boldly stated, exerting her own authority on the world around her.
The sky turned black with several dots twinkling throughout, power surged through Seikatsu's body as the night had set in. The world around the group turned to night, black shadowy wisps floating about gave even greater power to the occult magic of Seikatsu, and Dmitry. The shadowy tendrils, kissing the air provided power to Seikatsu's, Dmitry, and Mao's fists, and any weapons they possessed.
"This is the true power of darkness!
The power to overwrite the very law of nature itself!
Now revel in dishonor as this mortal body,
these three mortal beings,
bring about your defeat!" Altsoba said with a strong, determined voice.
Lisa took flight and began circling above, awaiting her time to strike.

Description:
Seikatsu taps into the power of Altsoba, the Demon of War. A demon who's soul has consumed 50% of his own, and has remained a part of him since age 10, and withdraws a portion of her power to influence the ethereal world around him. To activate this Seikatsu must say the words:
"Du och jag är odöda" which means, You and I are undead.
Upon doing this, black wisps will appear from the ground, as well as shadowy tendrils that wriggle slowly and eerily. These appear in a 20 meter radius around Seikatsu and do not move with Seikatsu, however the wisps will fill the weapons of specified mages weapons (if they have one) and apply the same bonus to the weapons. Black wisps are the strongest form of souls, and can almost never be accessed by wizards without paying a stern price.
The benefits is a +50% to all damage dealt by summoners, celestial spirit users, shadow wizards, and soul wizards attacks. The downside is Seikatsu forfeits 5% of his HP in the form of his soul being torn.
Strengths:
1 Applies a +50% to all damage dealt by Summoners, Celestial Spirits, Shadow and Soul wizards.
2 Damage boost applies to all allies of the above mentioned elements.
3 Can be used multiple times per thread, assuming the cooldown is over
4 Damage boost applies to physical and magic damage for the above mentioned elements
Weaknesses:
1 Requires 5% HP loss
2 Ranking up does not remove the HP cost
3 All enemies of the above mentioned elements get the same boost in power
4 Does not boost allies power if they are not the above mentioned types of wizard
5 If Seikatsu doesn't have the HP to fork over, he can opt to sacrifice his life or not use the spell at all.
- Weapon Spell:
- Name: Convert Weapon
Rank:C
Duration: 4 posts, or until weapon is broken
Cooldown: 5 posts
Description:
The soul energy surrounds this weapon, and condenses itself infusing itself with souls. At the same time, the process drops the temperature around the soul energy causing some of them to become Ice. These soul, and ice particles converge and take on the form all mortals are familiar with. The Scythe is the symbol of the reaper, and is known to all walks of life as their final judge. In this form, the Scythe causes a Minor bleed effect dealing .5 rank damage over two posts, and it deals melee damage appropriate to Seikatsu's rank.
The scythe stands at 7 feet tall, with a four ft curved blade. Where the blade connects to the pole there are large Ice spikes (this is where the bleed comes from), on the opposite end of the blade is a smaller curved blade, with the blade in the opposite direction and is made of the crimson gems from the original form. Both curved blades are very jagged. At the bottom of the pole, there is a loop that can be used to spin the scythe. The color of the Scythe, and dagger is a mix of white, grey, blue, and black. When the scythe is in motion, it leaves a trail of grey/white smoke. If the Scythe if broken, it will turn into a broken version of the Thorn of Betrayal.Strengths:- Scythe Form:
1 Gives Seikatsu a bit more range
2 Adds a bleed effect if hit with the spikes
3 Has the ability to cut souls (like ghosts)
Weaknesses:
1 Is heavier, and cannot be concealed
2 Leaves a very obvious trails of grey/white smoke, which means Seikatsu can be followed very easily
3 Can be broken by spells/weapons of equal or greater rank
4 If broken, it reverts to the sword which is also now broken
- Weapon Spell:
- Name: Spirit of the Night
Rank: Equal to Seikatsu's Rank (Max rank A)
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 1 use only
Description:
And then he said: "Let their be light!" and Seikatsu said "NO!"
Instantly converts day to night with a full moon, and increases the flow of soul energy, and makes it harder for all parties to see with their bear eyes. Soul Magic, Summon Magic, and Celestial Spirits and physical attacks with scythes are increased by 25%.
When the effect subsides, the effect goes away in a type of dissolve effect. This does not actually alter time, or control the path of the sun and moon, rather it creates a dome that mimics night on the realest level. If an opponent or ally has an effect triggered at night, the effect will trigger and resolve when this spell resolves if it doesn't beforehand.
Strengths:
1 Increases the damage output of several magics
2 Makes seeing difficult for enemies not attuned to darkness
3 Triggers ally night effects, without stopping daytime effects.
Weaknesses: 4 minimum
1 Makes it harder for allies to see, unless they have a special type of vision that doesn't require light.(heat vision, X-ray vision, etc...)
2 If the opponent uses Soul, Summon, Celestial Spirit, or Scythes they get a bonus as well
3 Does not increase the damage output of ALL magics, or weapons, just very specific types.
4 Can only be done once
5 Triggers enemies night time effects, and doesn't stop their day time ones.
6 Can not be used at night

Re: Nightmarish Strings
There it finally was in the…not-so-flesh! Had they reached the middle and not realized it yet, or did the creature simply grow weary of their slow pace? They’d only walked a little more before the thing arrived and sent Dmitry into a world of pain, forcing the man unto his knees only to expel a mouthful of blood like a sacrifice to the wicked being. And there she stood, unable to help a single soul as it all fell on Dmitry to push the creature out. Things stretched on for eons and yet time refused to move fast as Mao reached for her gauntlets, slowly donning one as she stared at the beast, its wretched grinning face aimed at the struggling medium.
Their other search ended shortly after Dmitry’s breakthrough, though…the feminine voice overlay left Mao a little…startled? Confused? ’The demon?’ Well…he did say it was a female…Altsoba was the name? Did this mean they had two opponents on hand?
More shocking than the reappearance of Seikatsu controlled by another was the information revealed by the dark, female entity as she spat her disgust at the thing. ’Thousand year old?’ Then…there was no hope from the beginning. Had that been why the Rune Knights were so confused by her questions? Why so few people knew of the other two missing people? But…
She couldn’t get caught up in those emotions right now, the situation far too dangerous. Even if the demon within one of her “allies” lay as the cause, right now the most prevalent threat stood before them. Pushing down the slight blush that threatened to rise at the demoness’ bold declaration about the hooded man, Mao poured all those feelings into another crystal. It was…an unpleasant feeling, to say the least. Suddenly so empty as the world around them changed, what little light existed dimming further as the possessed man empowered both mediums with the power of his shared darkness.
This was not a world meant for her.
The tall, dark, and shadowy figure screamed in apparent rage as tendrils shot out in a multitude of directions – perhaps almost as blind as she was? Landing a few paces behind, claws helped slowed her momentum as they dug into the ground, knees almost touching dirt as a few lines trickled down a cheek and a few gashes on an arm caused her shirt to cling to that spot. Anything she did at this point could be classified as stupid, the better option likely being to hide behind the trees and let them take care of it, but that felt too irresponsible and far more powerless than she’d been thus far. ’If we’re both blind…then it needs a target.’
A silent apology was spoken in her mind even as magical energy collected inside Mao, only to explode in a brilliant display of red on all five limbs. Even atop both large gauntlets jagged formations of luscious red rubies grew, some dotting her legs, but more brilliantly shone her tail as all three tips received designs reminiscent of long, pointed eyes. Unlike Altsoba and Seikatsu, she lived in a world bathed in light, no matter how much she appreciated cloudy days over sunny. Through the glow she could better make out the next attack, almost able to spy the twisted grin as a hand shot at her with claws eager for flesh.
”HA!” the cry came out automatically as she smacked it with one of her glowing gauntlets, ducking out of the blow by the skin of her teeth. It lodged into a tree, long enough for Mao to jump onto the odd, chilling limb and use it as a spring board to avoid the next one as it grasped at air. So long as she could turn it around and avoid shedding light unto the others, then they could utilize the opening far better than she.

Ruby: Ignite - +10% Strength/Speed, mild burn damage
- Spoiler:
- Name: Ruby: Ignite!
Rank: D
Type: Support/Offensive
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: Empowering someone with a gem known for representing passion, the person becomes fired up! The chunk of ruby is the same size as a ping-pong ball. Gaining a small cropping of rubies on their forearms and around their ankles, the person gains an increase to both strength and speed by 10%. Burning with so much passion, the ruby adds a slight burning effect to punches and kicks without setting anything actually on fire (akin to burning one’s self on warm pots/pans). For those with extra limbs it’ll add a small cropping of rubies that apply the burning effect to that limb as well. It’s a single target spell.
Strengths:- Boosts speed a little.
- Boosts strength a little.
- Adds a burning effect to physical attacks. Does ¼ D-rank damage per hit (limit: D-rank damage per post)
Weaknesses:- Actual heat-based attacks will remove the effects from whatever limb they touch.
- The burning only affects limbs, so will only help with unarmed attacks (wouldn’t affect a held sword for example).
- Could be intercepted
- Despite boosts, it won’t allow someone to break things they normally can’t (so don’t go punching rocks if they hurt before).
- Boosts speed a little.

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Dmitry grinned at Seikatsu's arrival. "Took you long enough, Mopey!" He shouted. Then things became dark as Altsoba did her thing. So it was her the whole time, Dmitry thought to himself. He couldn't say he was all that surprised, but that wasn't important right now. The spirit mage could feel his spiritual bonds strengthening and shook off the weariness from his ordeal; it was time to call on his friends. As Mao was knocked back, Dmitry felt a boiling rage in him. Then he grit his teeth as Mao went and made a target of herself. While he realized how important it was and he was certainly impressed with her agility, it didn't ease his worry. If his hair were brown, it would be turning gray.
"I invoke the Twin Ravens: Huginn, Muninn" The smoky birds flew forth and moved to either side of the creature. Using the bit of light Mao had provided, Dmitry converted the the crows into blades and rained them on his opponent. The two blades lodged themselves into its neck, eliciting a scream of agony before disappearing. Dmitry then summoned the spirit that would best synchronize with the anger in his veins.
'Your time to shine, old man!' Dmitry said to the spirit that raised him.
"I invoke the Great Wolf: Hati!" The powerful wolf charged forth and leaped onto the creatures back, sinking his fangs into its already wounded neck. As it writhed about with Hati firmly attached, Dmitry drew the knife from his boot. He then dashed towards the beast's side and stuck the the blade into what should qualify as the it's right knee, before one of its tentacles knocked him aside out of reflex. Dmitry tumbled across the ground and slid to a stop before propping himself up on one knee and firing a smoke-like wisp at the knife he left in the thing, pushing it even further into the creature's 'flesh'. The monster dropped down on that knee in pain as Hati kept his fangs securely fixed into its 'throat'. It then reached back, stuck its claws into the wolf, and threw him over its shoulder. Hati disappeared shortly after hitting the ground.
Dmitry shakily stood up and prepared himself for another invocation, though he expected Seikatsu/Altsoba to take care of the thing in short order. Still, he felt an incredible urge to see this it dead, if that was even possible. If not, Dmitry would settle for decapitation...

- Signature Spell Used:
Name: Summon Hati
Rank: C
Type: Summon
Duration: 4 posts
Cooldown: 5 posts
Description: “I invoke the Great Wolf: Hati!” Dmitry raises his hand in front of him and calls forth a spectral wolf, twice the size of a normal one and with a body that appears as if it were made of smoke. Hati has deadly physical capabilities, tearing through weak enemies and giving normal ones a run for their money. He’s also quite talkative, far more so than most other animal spirits. The wolf served as Dmitry's surrogate father since he was eight; he is the first spirit Dmitry has ever summoned.
Predator's Sprint - Hati dashes forward at 30 mph, dealing C rank damage in a 3 ft wide, 15 ft long path.
Strengths:
-Hati has great speed and agility.
-Can take out a multitude of targets at once.
-Powerful close range capability.
Weaknesses:
-He is useless against aerial targets.
-Can be difficult to control.
-Hati is sometimes over-violent.
-Has no ranged capability.
- Other Spells Used:
Name: Summon Huginn and Muninn
Rank: D
Type: Summon
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: "I invoke the Twin Ravens: Huginn! Muninn!" Dmitry holds out his hand and calls forth two spectral ravens of a similar smoke-like appearance to Hati. Though they may be two spirits, due to their lack of individual capability, they summon as one. The purpose of these two is reconnaissance. They fly far and wide to deliver information to Dmitry. Unlike Hati, they don't say a word out loud. They have some ability in battle, but not enough to deliver a finishing blow.
Passive-Slip the mind - Unless one is consciously aware of their presence, it is quite difficult to notice the ravens.
Strengths:
-Huginn and Muninn have extremely high mobility.
-They allow Dmitry to scout an area and plan ahead.
-They're hard to spot.
Weaknesses:
-Little to no offensive ability.
-They're quite physically weak.
-Feedback to Dmitry becomes blurry when distance between him and the ravens exceeds a half-mile.
-They require more focus the farther apart they are.
Name: Convert Huginn and Muninn
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 2
Description: Just as it's D rank predecessor did, this spell changes the form of Huginn and Muninn into that of knives. However, Dmitry no longer has to have the ravens nearby, instead firing the daggers at his opponents at precise angle from above. The length of the blades has also increased to 12 inches and now deal .75 C rank damage each. They immediately disperse upon impact.
Strengths:
-Excellent for sneak attacks.
-Able to hit pinpoint marks on the target.
-Can engage two targets at once or one target to increase damage.
Weaknesses:
-Can no longer use the knives as handheld weapons.
-Must have Huginn and Muninn summoned, making it slightly more costly.
-Must also wait for the Cooldown of Huginn and Muninn when used.
-Disengages Huginn and Muninn's recon capabilities.
Name: Summon Wisp
Rank: D
Type: Ofensive/summon
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 1 posts

Strengths:
-Quick source of offence.
-Gives Dmitry a direct ranged attack.
-Good for keeping targets at a distance.
Weaknesses
-Doesn't have the potential damage of fully-fledged spirits.
-Can't provide as much protection as other summons.
-Is limited to a range of 10 m.
-Isn't very precise.

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Awaiting for the area to be cleared, Lisa flew down low to the ground and zeroed in on the shadowy figure's position. She kept her speed, quickly whizzing past Mao, her black glossy silhouette being illuminated by the burning rubies about her body. Lisa arced upwards and grabbed hold of the demon while stabbing it with her tail. A vine knocked her off, and she took to the air again. She dropped back down and started speeding towards the shadowy figure. As the great wolf Hati slammed down on the beings 'throat' Lisa grabbed onto what could only be assumed as its arm. She released her grasp in time to see the wolf being knocked down, and disappear. 'DO IT NOW!' Seikatsu's voice sounded in her head. The wyvern flew to the top of the black arena and began glowing a bright crimson color. The radiance of Lisa's dragon bloodline, the burning fury of her deceased kin, the power of her ancestors all manifested itself as a bright, powerful radiance that lit up the entire battlefield for a moment, revealing Seikatsu's position.
Altsoba, still controlling Seikatsu's body, jumped back as the twin birds Huginn and Muninn came down upon her enemy. She charged forwards and slashed the figure with her scythe. A black tendril came from the ground and grabbed her. Altsoba's wrath so strong she had little issues using the strength of Seikatsu to break free. A second tendril lashed out, flicking Seikatsu to the side.
'Damnit, I'm not used to your body.' Altsoba said to Seikatsu in their head.
'Very well, give me control.' Seikatsu replied.
Seikatsu's eyes changed to a dark blue glow, but his scars maintained their bloody glows. Seikatsu charged forwards, rolling to a side out of the path of a tendril. He spun the blade and hacked one of the tar colored whips in half, and then thrusted the spike of his Scythe of Betrayal. Seikatsu felt a great pain and a set of tendrils was forced through his body, and threw him at Mao. Seikatsu saw the great wolf Hati's soul essence vanish from his sight while in the air. 'DO IT NOW!' Seikatsu ordered his wyvern in his mind. After impacting the floor near Mao, Seikatsu took no time to revel in the pain and agony from the hole in his back. He clapped his hands together and spread apart a large sphere around him and Mao. The sphere's dark blue, and light blue highlights revealing him and Mao's position much more clearly than Mao's glowing jewels.
Lisa's power having filled the world about her, a bright red light came down from the skies raining judgment from a world beyond death down upon the field. The field was riddled with scores of burning rocks, illuminating the field. The darkness of the field, now was able to mildly illuminate by the embers given off from the meteor strike, revealing a slight hint to where everyone was laying.
Seikatsu's body feeling faint, his scythe too far away for him to pick up, Seikatsu had no choice. As the flaming rocks had destroyed his barrier, he was thankful that he was able to protect Dmitry's friend from harm. Seikatsu pulled out a sword with a light blue handle, a glowing red ruby as the guard, and a white blade.
"I'm gonna take a nap, do me a favor..." Seikatsu coughed up a bit of blood.
"Kick his ass." He said as he slammed the blade into the ground.
"Kom och hjälp mig" Seikatsu said with increasing volume as he began to fade out of consciousness.
Seikatsu took a deep breath as he pulled forth the last of his strength.
"ALTSOBA!!!" He yelled strongly.
The sword exploded in a cloud of red, white, and black; becoming little more than a cloud of metallic powder. The cloud condensed, giving the form of a woman wearing a purple dress with red accents dimly illuminated by the burning rocks. Seikatsu smiled as his hand touched her scythe, his eyes dull and seeming truly dead. Altsoba's scythe glowed bright blue with the frozen shards encasing it, and gave a flickering effect from the lines of soul energy. The tendrils Seikatsu called forth before combined with the weapon, and Seikatsu faded to black.
Altsoba looked at Mao's weapons. One glowed bright blue from the shards of Ice Seikatsu somehow coated it in, and the other had blue lines from his reinforcement spells. She closed her eyes and turned to the shadow demon.
"I won't let this go." She said calmly as she got ready to attack.

- Spirit Barrier
Rank: D
Type: Soul
Duration: 4 Posts
Cooldown: 5 Posts
Description:
A bubble composed of souls stored in the scabbard on Seikatsu's waist, he can block almost any attack with it. The bubble is mostly light blue (allowing the caster to regain his/her bearings), with dark blue blotches moving through out it. Upon being destroyed, the barrier releases a huge cloud that impairs the sight of all inside it. The barrier has a radius of 9 feet from the very center.
The Spirit Bubble will stop a definite amount of attacks, based on the following rank scale:
D - 2 attacks - All inside takes 5% damage from the attack that breaks it
C - 1 attacks - All inside takes 9% damage from the attack that breaks it
Note: 2 D Rank spells = 1 C Rank spell. The bubble will take either 2 D, or 1 C
Strengths:
1 Provides a valuable defense, even if it's just for a moment
2 Can be used to protect a team for a brief period
3 A more offensive spell can be prepared from inside the bubble (it cannot be fired/cast from inside the bubble)
Weaknesses:
1 If surrounded may be just as much a liability as an asset
2 Mages above C rank just pop right through.
3 When destroyed, everyone enclosed in the bubble take damage instead of just one person
4 Attacks can't leave the bubble
5 Can be destroyed rather easily
- Pet Skill:
- Name: Draconic Outburst
Rank: Equal to Seikatsu's rank
Description:
Lisa is partially a dragon, and this part is burning to escape. Lisa has the ability to call on meteors to rain down upon her, or her master's enemies. This deals instant AoE damage equal to Seikatsu's rank to a 60 meter radius area. This attack can not be used if Lisa is under ground, and will not hit anyone who is under ground (meteors don't drill, the smash) if the person is in a normal building, like a house, they are not safe. If the building is dense (metal, very thick rocks etc...) then they ARE safe.
Distribution: 0->10 meters 100% damage, 10 meters -> 15 meters 75% damage
Range will not change with rank, and will forever be the same.
Strengths:
1 Large range
2 Hits multiple targets
3 Can be used from the air
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 4 posts
Weaknesses:
1 Can be dodged/blocked by spells/equipment of equal or greater rank
2 Can not be used if under ground
3 Hit everyone and everything in the open
4 Will not hit if inside cover that's dense. (Metal Buildings, guild halls, mine shafts etc...)
- Weapon Spell:
- Name: Return Soul
Rank: Artifact, equal to player rank capping at S
Duration: 4 Posts from C rank, increase +1 per rank cap at 7 Post duration
Cooldown: 1 Use Per Thread, 10 post cooldown at A rank and up
Description:
Seikatsu slams his blade into the ground to tear the fabric of space and time apart and call forth a single entity from the plane which he/she/it dwells in. This entity that is called forth is none other than the cause of Seikatsu's problems; Altsoba, The Demon of War.
Passive: Altsoba incites the fear of a child witnessing war for the first time in all enemies. All enemies of equal rank receive 40% more damage. Enemies take 5% less damage for every rank above Altsoba he/she/it is, and receive no extra damage for being lower rank. This damage applies to all sources of damage. Altsoba wields the Heart of War as her weapon, after A rank is achieved the sword will reforge every 10 posts between the time Altsoba goes away, and the 10 post cooldown the sword is still unusable.
Altsoba deals ranked damage.
Below is a table that lists the amount of hits Altsoba can take based off of what rank she is at that point in time. This is assuming it's a normal hit and not he having her heart ripped out or something. Following the power level scale the amount of hits needed to kill Altsoba halves with each rank above her the opponent is, and doubles with each rank below her the opponent is.
C: 2 Hits
B: 2 Hits
A: 3 Hits
S: 3 Hits
Active: Summon Wraith
Duration: 3 Posts, increase +1 per rank cap at 6 post duration
Cooldown: 1 Use per summon of Altsoba.
The wraith moves slightly slower (30%) than Altsoba, because if its very thick armor. Due to its armor being very thick, it has a +30% defence bonus.
Passive/Active: The Wraith has none, he has a sword that's all he needs.
Wraith takes more hits to kill because it is very well armoured, here are the values.
Also it deals ranked damage, however the "Damage Dice" will determine if it's a hit or miss.
C: 3 Hits
B: 3 Hits
A: 4 Hits
S: 4 Hits
Strengths:
1 Seikatsu gains two fighting partners
2 Either of the summons can be used to distract and enemy
3 Makes it so Seikatsu never truly has to solo a job
Weaknesses:
1 Using this spell destroys the sword entirely
2 Altsoba's summon has no spell of its own
3 Both summons can be killed, the wraith has half the max health of Altsoba.
4 This ability cannot be used on Holy Grounds.- Altsoba:

- Imbue Ice
Rank: D
Type: Ice, supportive
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 5 posts
Description: Seikatsu rubs a nice coating of Ice Shards all over his, or an allies weapon(s). This gives them a slight boost in damage output, as the shards act as added blades and cause more cuts than just the bare weapon.
Strengths:
1 Can be applied to multiple weapons (2 max)
2 Increases damage by 15%
3 Can be used with weapons enchanted by other effects (EX: another damage increasing spell)
Weaknesses:
1 Weapon can still be broken
2 Maximum of 2 items enchanted at the same time (can not be casted, and then re-casted on a second weapon before the cooldown runs up.)
3 If casted on arrows, or other ammunition 1 shot acts as 1 weapon
4 Can be removed if the enchantment is liquified. (Fire melts Ice, and Ice can be reverted to water)

- [center]Reinforce
Rank: D
Type: Soul
Duration: 4 Posts
Cooldown: 5 Posts
Description:
The wizard channels the souls energy around him onto a single targeted object. This creates a type of crosshatched weave that has a different color for different materials.
Metal - Blue + Light Blue
Ceramic/Stone - Green + Dark Green
Wood - Red + Scarlet
Glass - Grey + White
Casting:
When the wizard is casting this spell he/she places his hands together (prayer style) causing the space in the middle to glow a faint white+grey. As the wizard increases the space between his/her hands the glow concentrates into an orb, and begins to expend as more soul energy is put into it. After the amount of soul energy is sufficient for the amount of surface being coated, the wizard separates his/her hands, leaving the grey/white orb in one. He/she then proceeds to press his/her entire palm on the object to be reinforced, and the orb sinks into the object. After the spell is cast, a set of lines ~1/2 inches apart emerge from the location the orb went in, and create a cross hatching pattern that covers the entire object, and giving it a sweet new color dependant on its primary material
Strengths:
1 Reinforced weapon gets +25% damage
2 Can be applied to any object made Metal, Ceramic, Stone, Wood, or Glass.
3 Looks beautiful when applied to metal.
Weaknesses:
1 Reinforced item can still be broken
2 Can NOT be applied to living creatures.
3 If an object is NOT composed 95% or more of Metal, Ceramic, Stone, Wood, or Glass; the spell will not work.
4 Can only be applied to two objects AT MOST.
5 Application of this spell requires direct contact with the object to be reinforced.
6 This spell cannot be applied twice to the same object.

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Things became heated as both men set to wailing upon the unfortunate – yet despicable – creature, claws and blades hacking through and diving into that menacing hide. As they made their presence more known the beast’s focus naturally shifted to the more prevalent threats, the glowing girl kept more to the outer edges of their small battlefield. Between a wyvern trying to swoop in and a ghostly wolf biting down into a usually vulnerable spot, nobody would blame him. One fell off and the other thrown, the thing could return its haunting attention back unto the three humans – or humanoids – as it chucked one of the figures towards the glowing girl.
Unfortunately it was too dangerous to try and catch the man, as tempting as it might’ve been, as even her tail might do more harm than good at softening the blow. As tempting as it was however… ’I can’t, not yet.’ Not until things calmed down more, though if it turned too dire she’d use the spell and stick close to whoever had it the worse, which appeared to be Seikatsu for the moment. He remained conscious long enough to perform some sort of defensive spell as fiery rocks of doom began to fall, the vision a little apocalyptic even as some of them flattened tendrils to the ground and forced them to wither while it screeched in obvious pain.
Distracted by the sudden appearance of the woman – who she could only guess to be Altsoba unless some sword spirit shared the name – the demoness’ attention caused Mao to turn her gaze unto the gauntlets upon realizing the light changed a little. ’Well, no time like the present I suppose,’ the girl decided, mentally invoking another spell as a thicker, white coating of crystals collected over the gauntlets – and surrounding both the icy spikes and chunks of ruby – coatings building up along her legs and filling wherever the rubies missed on the ends of her tail to turn it into a third claw.
Onwards she charged, diving between the rocks for whatever little cover they’d afford, drawing the thing’s attention away from the darkened, prone man lying beyond their latest party addition. He would be such an easy target right now, so she didn’t want to afford the thing time even as some tendrils scraped by. Diamonds clattered to the ground before dissipating as both legs became revealed, a few tears in the loose cloth pants showing a few close calls even as some blood hit the ground from a deeper gash on a thigh. But she had to keep going, grimacing through the pain as she harshly slammed a tendril aside before it could pierce her shoulder and slammed her full body into a side.
One hand tore away with a black ooze slipping over the trio of colors present, the other lodged somewhat firmly into its midsection. Adrenaline pumped heavily as one thought above all others prevailed: she needed to get away. Staying so close to something this strong for someone as weak as her meant too much on the line. Both feet pressed firmly against the beast’s hip as she pushed off, ignoring the sting of more slices as she flipped into the air, and felt the satisfying crunch of hitting something solid with her tail – the head forced backwards as the extra limb slammed into the jaw and partially through it.
Sliding along the ground again, Mao panted as she tried to ignore the disgusting substance now on her tail. It was better to focus on that than any of the number of injuries piling up.

- Name: Diamond: Claws/Gloves
Rank: D
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: An defensive spell that can be used offensively, first either Mao must infuse herself with the power of diamonds or smack someone with the magic diamond she manifests (the chunk of crystals being the same size as a baseball). Upon fusing with at least someone’s body, a diamond casing will form over the person’s limbs – focusing on the hands and forearms, ankles to the knees, and for those with tails the ends of those limbs. Jagged and a little spiky in nature (though the spikes are only a half-inch at most), the afflicted area can then be used to defend primarily physical attacks or a simple D-rank spell while retaining some movement in the hands. It’s a single target spell.
Strengths:- Can block up to 3 physical attacks, 2 if the enemy’s strength is enhanced
- Can be used to block a single D-rank spell
- Offers an offensive option that can at cause slashing n’ bashing damage. Does ¼ D-rank damage per hit (limit: D-rank damage per post)
Weaknesses:- Fire Damage will burn away the coating as well as leaving burns in the spell’s wake.
- The offensive capabilities are only usable in melee-range, and the defensive ability won’t help against AoE-based attacks.
- Can be intercepted
- The defensive capabilities do not stack.
- Can block up to 3 physical attacks, 2 if the enemy’s strength is enhanced

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Dmitry saw the wyvern fly into the air and let off a glow as Seikatsu put up a barrier around him and Mao. He smiled, thankful that she was protected and prepared his own defense. The mage knew he needed to be able to attack immediately after the barrage, so he decided not to use Jormangand. Instead he invoked a spirit he hadn't used in while.
"I invoke the Lunar Horse: Alsvinder!" The horse immediately appeared the same way Hati and the others did. Dmitry then prepared a spell he was testing for the first time, focusing on the image of gauntlets, grieves, and a chest plate. The horse, as if responding to his thoughts, dispersed into smoke and formed into the aforementioned items. Just as this was completed, Lisa let loose a storm of meteors upon the field. Dmitry crouched down and used his newly armored forearms to shield himself from the hell-storm. Unfortunately, while they kept most of the force of the meteors' impact from reaching him, the armor didn't completely cover him. Dmitry grit his teeth as he took the heat from the burning rocks, intent on staying in the fight. When the rocks stopped falling, Dmitry was a bit disoriented from all the impacts around him, his hat knocked off by now. As he struggled not to pass out, he saw Mao charging towards the creature, taking damage along the way.
Damnit Mao! Dmitry thought as he once again forced himself up. He began charging at the creature himself as she was pulling her fist out of its gut. Just as she flipped past him, a kind of black gunk on her beloved tail, the armored mage jumped above the creature's head clasped his hands together, and slammed them into the creatures upturned face. The enhanced strength from the armor caused the blow to send the creature into the ground below, with Dmitry landing on it's chest. He took the opportunity to crouch down and grab two of it's tentacles, before bracing his feet against the things chest and tugging at the tentacle as hard as he could. Naturally, it responded by trying to smack him off with one it's claws. Thankfully, the earlier blow to the face was able to blur its vision for a bit, causing it's aim to be way off. It did manage to graze Dmitry's chestplate, but that did nothing to deter him as he was committed to ripping off some of these annoying tentacles. He began to yell as he poured all of his strength, magic or otherwise, into his current act of mutilation. The more Dmitry pulled, the less accurate the creature's aim was, until finally a satisfying rip could be heard from either side of it. Once the tentacles were loose, Dmitry's enhanced strength sent him flying off the monstrosity that was now writhing about on the ground. Dmitry landed on his back a few feet away from it and groaned.
"Alright, Devil Lady! Finish this bastard off!"

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Altsoba, still in place preparing for her attack that Seikatsu used his strength to provide her, was about to attack when she saw a small-ish being with rabbit like ears and a tail flash past her. The girl, who's name she knew not, coated her body in a strange type of gem. She charged through the battlefield taking hit after hit, not giving a care in the world to the damage she was suffering the valiant girl landed several decent blows on the beast. Altsoba watched as the grey haired wizard went for his own attack. She saw as the girl had gotten her tail covered in some sorts of gunk, and Dmitry pulled off a set of those damned tendrils. Altsoba began charging in for her own attack, weary of watching the two showing her up. She noticed the ghastly demon was standing on top of something, a black pole with a loop on its end. When the monster stepped off, Altsoba smiled as she saw the blade was broken.
A tendril flared up in front of Altsoba, her being used to this body, being the demon who was entitled the classification of 'wrath' and entrusted with the power of war itself, Altsoba would never fall prey to such a mundane attack. Altsoba swung her scythe and cleaved the black grass like extension in half, charging through the smoke cloud it left as it deteriorated into nothingness. More popped up before her, swinging her scythe she cleaved all of them and jumped into the air. Tendrils surrounded the demoness as she jumped over one of the fallen meteors. Altsoba swung her scythe and then rolled in air, cutting off the tendrils as she landed.
"I see you haven't lost your touch!"
Altsoba sliced a few more tendrils in half as they appeared around her.
She put in a great big sadistic, crooked grin.
"Ha! I am an evolution of demon the likes of you will never compare to!" she said boastingly.
"We shall see." the demon replied.
A set of tendrils cut off Mao from getting any closer than she was, forming a giant circle around him and Altsoba. The only one he didn't care to cut off, was the soul wizard who was thought to be dead. He charged at Altsoba with his claws of darkness, attempting to deal end the struggle quickly. Altsoba stopped the claws, and noticed its fingers extending and spun her scythe. She pulled out from the lock, and twirled around to the back of the shadowy being, slashing at his... or its back. The being let off a massive howl of pain and the scythe Altsoba was using was her own, a blade made by demons. The demon swung while spinning around trying to hit the agile queen. Altsoba pressed her feat against the demon as it did so, pushing off and landing on her feet. She dipped back in and cut at the shadowy monster's feet, this time, the leg dared not return. The monster exploded into a cloud of mist and appeared near Seikatsu.
"I shall remove from you the medium by which your power erupts from." the monster said menacingly.
Lisa forgoed her sense of an honest duel, threw aside her father, her best friend, her master's teachings to never interfere with a one on one duel. Lisa dived in, activating the power of her pendant she grew from her standard forearm sized self, to a monstrous 180ft long monster with 200ft long wingspans on both ends. She flashed past Altsoba and barreled towards the shadowy demon. The demon turned around and unleashed a flurry of tendrils at Lisa, at first she plowed through them effortlessly, and as the tip of her armoured snout was a matter of feet from the being she was halted and bound to the floor.
"Pitiful beast, did you believe you could best m-" the shadowy being stopped speaking.
The tendrils around the field all receded into the ground putting in full view the enormous wyvern laying down motionless. Lisa didn't move as she was puzzled herself. Altsoba smiled while looking at the barren ground below her feet. Upon viewing the shadowy being, four small dots were seen letting off a grey smoke, with a light blue mist.
"You see, my medium is a bit of a stubborn jack ass." Altsoba said with a bit of an attitude.
The being turned around and grabbed Seikatsu, he launched the still bleeding man all the way across the field and sent him into Altsoba. Seikatsu stood up with the hole in his back partially clotted with what could only be assumed as ice. It was still bleeding, but that was alright for him.
"I'll destroy you both!" the monster said as it fired a set of tendrils at them.
Seikatsu looked at Altsoba and smiled weakly, Altsoba nodded in understanding. Seikatsu charged at the being with his spiked claws cutting away the tendrils, many of which cut him in return. The spikes on his back rattling from the onslaught of attacks, and his tail doing its best to demolish the tendrils. Lisa was caught in the middle of it as well, using her wings to block what little they could. This was sufficient for Altsoba as she charged forward, spring boarding off of Seikatsu and onto the tail of the great wyvern. She ran up the length of the armoured back, and jumped from Lisa's head. Lifting her scythe, Altsoba got ready to swing. Altsoba came down on the being and cut it's shadowy form in half, causing it to howl loudly.
The being exploded into a cloud of dense black mist, and the onslaught of tendrils stopped all together.
Seikatsu fell to the ground, placing one hand on his knee and the other keeping him from hitting the floor entirely.
"Is...
That it...?" he asked, panting from the blood loss and the struggle.
"HAHAHAHAHA!
YOU STUPID BOY!" the voice called out.
"I CAN NOT BE BEATEN BY MERE...
MERE SWORDS PLAY!
I AM FEAR ITSELF CHILD!" the voice yelled at him.
"Yeah, yeah. Fear cannot be destroyed. Hearts of children
get your weak ass out of here and go regenerate somewhere people care." Altsoba snapped at him in an irritated voice.
The black mist dispersed, and Seikatsu's Spirit of Night with it.
Seikatsu smiled at Altsoba as she helped him up.
Alstoba pulled Seikatsu close and pressed her lips to his, then transitioning into a hug.
"You okay?" she asked in a soft voice.
Seikatsu didn't return the hug, he didn't answer her. He stood in place with his clawed arms resting at his side, refusing to show any affection for her.
"I guess...
I guess that's a yes." Altsoba said disappointed.
Altsoba released Seikatsu and walked over to the summoner, Dmitry with her hand held out to help him up.
While extending the gesture she stated to the group in a bold voice:
"He'll be back, trust me.
For now, does anyone have a question they'd like to ask before I go home?"
Lisa let off a few low pitched clicking sounds as she turned her head and began nuzzling Seikatsu, who leaned his weight on her for fear of passing out again.

(Strength increases proportionally so Lisa can actually move [50%]) Damage output increases by 15% due to increased strength.
Lisa grows from being 1ft 7inches 3inches in diameter, to 180 ft long, 5 ft thick, 200ft wingspan (this is proportional for flight)
A real world size reference would be twice the length between the home plate, and 1st base in a regulation sized baseball field.
Duration: Two posts, or until 20% of max HP in damage is taken whichever comes first
Cooldown: 4 posts
Strengths:
1 Lisa can be used to fly Seikatsu into battle, or to pick up an opponent and throw him/her to the ground while this ability is in effect
2 Makes Lilly a lot bigger, meaning she can smash large objects (within reason of course) and wreak all sorts of havoc on the enemy
3 Those teeth get larger just like the rest of her, as if the bone helmet isn't intimidating enough with those things staring an opponent down. (The opponent needs guts to take on Lilly in growth mode)
Weaknesses:
1 Stealth is impossible at this point.
2 Lisa has a harder time dodging attacks when she's so flipping big
3 After Lisa takes 20% of max HP in damage the ability wears off, and she reverts to her standard size
4 This ability in tight spaces.... 'nuff said
- Second Chance:
- Second Chance
Rank: Signature Spell (ranks up with character)
Type: Soul
Duration: 4 posts
Cooldown: 1 Use Only
Description:
Seikatsu weapon has been shattered! It's okay, Second chance is here to save the day!
One time per thread, Seikatsu can take the shards of his broken Thorn of Betrayal, and combine it with soul energy and icey winds. This creates a type of weapon that is mounted on his body. The weapon is a pair of claws, that creates spikes running down his back that becomes a tail. He also get's a pretty sick looking helmet. The helmet and spikes on his back provides no defensive bonuses, but rather act as a focus for Seikatsu. The cold winds make the frame several times lighter that the original sword, and even give Seikatsu a +25% speed bonus due to making him lighter as well. The claws have no extra damage, but can in face be reinforced with magical spells, if any allies or Seikatsu has one available.
Strengths:
1 Seikatsu can use his other spells with this active
2 Seikatsu gains a +25% Speed bonus. This increases by 25% each rank, capping off at 100% at rank S.
3 Can be used at will
Weaknesses:
1 After the spell resolves, his sword is not fixed. The spell literally falls right off.
2 Seikatsu can only activate this spell if his sword is broken.
3 This ability does not provide its own damage boosts
4 This spell can still be blocked by equipment and spells of equal or greater rank.

Re: Nightmarish Strings
They’d done it. They’d wreaked havoc upon that demonic entity and came out alive – some more than others as Seikatsu appeared very worse for wear after his many trials, but the fact remained: they lived. Rubies long broken off, the icy magic that gripped her clawed gloves began to recede even as the diamonds dissipated with the release of the spell. Removing the bulky things was a pleasure and oh-so satisfying after this venture, though she lightly frowned at some of the dark substance that slipped through a few formed cracks. Most of it came off easily enough, and the bulk of it on her tail made a very satisfying “thwack!” sound as she flicked it towards a tree.
Clipping the mildly mangled gauntlets to her belt, Mao walked – rather tried as a small limp formed, wincing as she recalled the slightly deeper leg wound that’d gone ignored during the adrenaline rush – towards the other figures. Whatever affection the demoness Altsoba held for Seikatsu, it was far from returned as he made no effort, all but ignoring her presence save for support and even that job was soon given to the much larger Lisa. ’Those look horrible.’ Out of all of them this strange, strange man received the worst of the blows, pierced and tossed around.
’He did shield me from the bombardment, so I suppose it’s only fair.’ It wasn’t her absolute favorite scarf, but Mao liked each and every one of them the same so to sacrifice one hurt a little. It’d be worth it if only to treat both their wounds as she pulled out the long garment – enough to wrap around her body a few times and still have plenty hang loose – and tore off a few feet before tying the bulk of it around the cloaked soul mage. While doing so the girl began to give off a reddish brown glow, dulled down a bit so that only the healing energy would seep out and avoid irritating their eyes too much.
In that no-nonsense tone, all but decreeing herself the leader or boss, the proud woman inquired about any questions…it was so hard to choose though. The beast of fear caused her confession earlier, admitting to all who listened that she’d destroyed these lives many years ago. ”What did their deaths bring you?” It shot out of her mouth as she tended to Seikatsu’s wounds magically and physically while trying to make sure Dmitry was in range of the spell at least. Mao’s tone was dull as if she might be inquiring about the weather, and it continued in that same tone as other questions spilled out whether she liked it or not, ”Did you curse those objects, or did that…demon do so? What makes you different from the thing we just fought? Have you always been a demon?”
She wasn’t quite sure where the last one even came from, a strange back-of-the-mind pondering as if this woman might’ve been…well something else – even if not human – at one time. Why did she hold so much affection for this man who adamantly refused to acknowledge the gestures? Did she believe he might return them, despite what the trade of power cost? Though…who was she to judge Altsoba when it’d been this same man who agreed to the terms… All the questions were so vexing because she wanted the answers, but held a feeling she might either not receive them or it’d be best not to ask at all. For once she shoved that troublesome instinct to inquire to ridiculous lengths down, deep down where she hoped it might take days if not weeks to rise back up.
More than anything, right now, the girl wanted to return to the safety of her room to the swathe of blankets and pillows upon that mattress in the sanctity of her closet…
…and just get lost in a story that involved no death and a ridiculously cheery ending. Maybe she’d just read a book of comic strips.

- Spoiler:
- Name: Sunstone: Cleanse
Rank: D
Type: Healing/AoE
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 5 posts
Description: Using herself as the medium for the spell, Mao’s entire body will begin to glow a muddy-red hue, a little dimmer than a 60w lightbulb. Allies within 10 meters of her will find their health renewing 5% per post and relieved of a single status effect from a spell of equal rank. Due to the brightness, staring directly can cause one’s vision to cloud up a little, though still not as bad as staring directly at normal light sources. Can heal up to 3 people total. Removes the most recently applied status effect.
Strengths:- Causes a mild blind.
- Heals allies a little (up to 10%) as well as removes a single status effect.
- As an AoE spell, it doesn’t require Mao to directly touch allies or stand still.
Weaknesses:- Must be used on Mao, another cannot be the conduit.
- Though it can somewhat blind people, it also paints a rather large target (and possibly attract light-eaters).
- Heat-based magic that hits Mao can cancel the effects early.
- Leaving the radius early reduces the main effect by half, and it doesn’t prevent them from regaining the status effect in the next post – merely cleanses it the first time.
- Causes a mild blind.

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Dmitry let out a sigh of relief as the creature dispersed and the darkness with it. He smiled as Mao began healing the more heavily injured member of their party, still upset that his friends got so banged up. He hadn't taken much damage thanks to his armor, which slowly faded away. When he got up and began to walk over to her, Dmitry heard a disturbing voice in his head.
'What, you thought I was going to leave without giving you a parting gift?'
'Shield your mind, boy!'
Without any warning, a pain like no other erupted within Dmitry's mind. This was not a possession attempt: it was a glimpse into the beyond. The spiritual medium was bombarded with an enormous amount of stimuli applied directly to his psyche. The strain was far greater than any attempt to control him and there was no way for him to resist. In the course of a few seconds, Dmitry received more spiritual stimulation than he had in his entire life up to this point. It was far more than even he was prepared for. It took all of five seconds for him to stumble and fall to the ground, eyes still wide from the shock. As he did, he heard the fading laughter of the thing that was supposed to be beaten. There was no movement from him whatsoever. No breathing and no heartbeat. Not even a twitch. Dmitry Kazakov had flat-lined.
After somewhere between ten and fifteen minutes, through the intervention of his comrades and possibly even his spirits, Dmitry shot up and gasped like a fish out of water. When he calmed down and took in his surroundings, he scratched his head a bit, more embarrassed than frightened. "Uh...sorry about that. Guess that bastard was pretty upset over that whole tentacle thing..." The newly resuscitated mage put a hand to his chest, confirming that his heart was in fact beating again.
'Welcome back to the land of the living, boy.' He heard Hati say.
'Hey, it ain't every day you get to rise from the dead, is it old man?'
Just one more event to make him appreciate being alive. Now he could say he'd quite literally escaped death. It pointed also out a significant weakness in his abilities.

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Seikatsu gathered some strength back thanks to his fluffy eared comrade's gem magic. While he didn't argue with getting first aid, he did question the method by which her mana flows through the gems. Did it flow in and out, did it pool in the gems, did the mana flow from the gems instead of to them? So many questions that Seikatsu didn't bother asking them. Seikatsu began petting Lisa, congratulating her on being so strong while under pressure, her low pitched clicking sounds ensuring she was find. Seikatsu overheard Mao asking Altsoba what them dying did for her along with a flurry of other questions. While she was helping Dmitry off the ground, he suddenly got wide eyed and let off a squeaking sound signaling the pain was too much to let out a full fledged cry of pain. It wasn't more than a few seconds before the grey haired wizard toppled over, eyes still bugged out with his pupils too small to be seen. Seikatsu accidently shoved Mao out of his way as he rushed to the fallen ally.
"KAZAKOV! KAZAKOV!" Seikatsu yelled.
Seikatsu rested his hand on Dmitry's heart, trying to feel for the standard thumping that resulted from an excess of adrenaline and felt nothing. The soul wizard attempted to scan Dmitry for a soul and noticed a trail of energy leaking from the summoner's body.
"Shit!!" Seikatsu yelled.
Seikatsu sat down and began meditating, seeming as though he were doing nothing.
Altsoba looked at the bunny eared girl, seeing if she would try to help the fallen man. As she saw the woman move, Altsoba snapped her fingers and called forth a large being wearing two suits of armour, each over three inches thick.
"Knave." she said greeting the monstrous servant.
The large metal man kneeled.
"Ensure that the man on the floor is uninjured." she coldly ordered the metal man.
Altsoba looked at the bunny eared girl, and addressed her.
"Pardon me beast-child..." she said plainly, not knowing what to call the girl.
"Your man appears to not be breathing, he also seems to lack a heartbeat" she stated, looking at Dmitry.
"I shall answer your question, just make yourself useful." she said plainly.
Lisa crawled closer and made some concerned clicking sounds. Altsoba walked over to console the large creature. She gently rubbed Lisa's head while speaking in a soothing tone.
"Let's see... where to start..." Altsoba said inquisitively.
"Ah yes.. their deaths..." she said, remembering the first question.
"I'd imagine you know the food chain, yes?
Animals eat plants,
Animals eat other animals,
Humans eat both." she paused.
"Demons, initially, strip mortal beings of their souls by means of overloading their bodies. A prime example is before you. We consume the soul to enhance our power, and their bodies to maintain our physical form." she stated.
"The short version, I gain power from mortals deaths." she said bluntly.
Altsoba turned around and began rubbing the wyvern, making sure to get dirt off of it.
"The original objects, I cursed." Altsoba admitted.
"But I'm merciful, had those been the objects I cursed you would have dropped dead as soon as I was summoned. Those forgeries weren't even one ten-thousandth the power of their originals." she stated, seeming rather proud of her own power.
She turned around to make sure Mao was still doing something to help Dmitry.
"The difference between he and I are power. If you wish to see a magic trick, I can sacrifice my host to summon the rest of my soul to this plane, and utterly destroy it in a matter of weeks.
The next difference is control. I have that power, I have known I've had that power since my host contracted me, and I have never once thought to use it." she said with a semi-humble voice.
Altsoba stopped cleaning the dirt off of Lisa and turned around to face the group. She leaned against Lisa and took a breath.
"To answer your last question..." she said before pausing.
"I... I was not always a demon.
I was once a human like my host...
A great deal of time ago, a time when magic was being rediscovered my family came across ancient documents. Toms written in a prehistoric language that predated the concept of mana itself. Just like my host over there, I was curious and decided to perform the only thing I saw that I could understand. After the ritual I was able to read the tomes, and I easily learned it all.
During the first siege of my kingdom my demonic contract became active, and I, a single seven year old child, slaughtered all that attempted to harm my people. Out of fear, my people followed my orders to rebuild. I am unsure how, but I somehow was able to turn that fear, to love as my subjects had come to trust me. We worked tirelessly to rebuild the kingdom and in a matter of years became a true people. But some of our enemies had pooled together. While I was in my mid twenties a second siege occurred. This one was done at first with machinery that slung large, flaming rocks upon my people. Then the soldiers came in." Altsoba had to stop as she wiped a tear from her face.
"They killed my people, I fought alongside my own pupils. These were children to aided the retaliation effort, and like me, each was half of a demon. For every 100 enemies slain, one of my pupils paid the price. I was the last to fall. My power was not great enough to protect those which I loved." Altsoba clenched her fists.
"My host is all I have of this world. Think not of him as the monster, for he did not willingly accept my contract. I forced it upon him. I took control of himself as he slumbered and forced him to complete the contract by slaying all he knew and held dear. I am the true monster in this bargain." she said with tears on her face.
Altsoba fell to the ground in the fetal position, and began to weep silently so as to not give cause for anyone to cease aiding Dmitry.
Seikatsu, while conscious of the explanations from Altsoba, was too busy keeping Dmitry's soul inside his body. He knew that some of his memories will be shared with the summoner wizard, and hoped that only the non-vital ones would be that. The large metal creation continued examining Dmitry's body as it used its one finger trying not to break any of Dmitry's bones. The large man poked and prodded Dmitry, making sure to keep out of Mao's way as she went about her method of aiding Dmitry.

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Time slowed down as an invisible force struck the healthier of the two men, Mao stunned as Dmitry hit the ground. She barely registered Seikatsu shoving her aside, stumbling a little before following suit. With baited breath she awaited the cloaked man’s diagnosis, hanging back two steps, but it didn’t look good visually. ’His chest isn’t moving…’ In a flash she was sitting opposite the man on the other side of their fallen comrade, beginning the gruesome process of trying to keep his heart-beating – even if the man’s ribcage would be groaning in protest later.
Recollections of first aid 101 type books she perused came to mind, and following the mental instructions Mao pinched the unconscious man’s nose closed and pressed her mouth to his. Air flew from her lungs and into his, inflating the organs as the armored creation continued its observations of other potential injuries. Mao was far from a doctor, but she knew enough that too long without oxygen flowing through the body, especially to the brain, could result in permanent damage let alone the likelihood of death if they couldn’t revive him. She wouldn’t know of Seikatsu’s influence of their chances until after the fact.
Refusing to break her stride even as she switched between the two actions, Mao eyes momentarily shot towards the other woman for a moment before returning to the man before her as his care required her attention far more than the storyteller. There wasn’t really time nor opportunity to react to anything she said. The potential insult (not that she hadn’t heard it before from strangers) hardly acknowledged alongside a certain claim she wouldn’t notice without reviewing the memory later perhaps, and she easily refrained from rolling her eyes at the final statement before explanations flowed.
It was…scary in some ways, just how easy it was to accept some of it as fact. ’Merely the food-chain at work. A deer probably doesn’t like the idea of being dinner any more than we do. That is merely the order of things: in the end someone or something will stand above you…’
At one point in time this woman who only needed to send a small fraction of her power to provide such enormous aid possessed stronger versions of the same items. What did that mean? No, perhaps such thoughts weren’t worth chasing. Mao already knew what drew her to this place – or at least knew well enough that it wasn’t some will of the items, but an indescribable instinct related to the original package back in her room. The notion of coming face-to-face with the pure version of Altsoba was…daunting to say the least.
She didn’t know what to think or feel upon discovering her guess was right, ears drooping a little. ’Only a child and she conscripted herself to a demon. A consequence of folly.’ Yet it wasn’t enough in the end as despite the heavy losses of the opposing forces, in a way, they still managed a victory over their foes. A sad fate for people who wished merely to live their lives, unknowingly placing a fear in their old enemies of the threat they possessed. The same power that saved them once before likely became the cause of their fall. ’How tragic…’
Every thought flew from her head, more or less physically knocked out by the force of Dmitry’s hard noggin as it collided with her’s upon his awakening, leaving Mao sitting there with a small forming bruise, stunned. It took a few seconds as a hand absentmindedly rubbed at the sore spot, ”I am…glad you are all right…” If the woman hadn’t felt his lack of pulse, then she might’ve thought the medium to be faking death, what with how much energy he sprung back to life. ’Perhaps a cause of whatever Seikatsu was doing…their abilities are certainly…interesting.’ Though one fact remained prevalent: they’d need to find some physician or person proficient in healing magic to take a look at them. Mao would manage fine aside for a tiny headache and annoying gash on her leg, but one man still looked close to death and the other had seen death before turning right back around like he realized he took a wrong turn at Albuquerque.

Re: Nightmarish Strings
It took a bit before Dmitry's head began to hurt from it's contact with Mao's. He then remembered just what happened when he awoke. "Oh, uh..sorry about the uh...the head..." He apologized, uncharacteristically nervous. The revived medium stood up and helped Mao to her feet, before looking around at the mist. So, it's still the same, he thought. It pained him to think that he wouldn't be able to coming back to this place for long time. But that wasn't important at the moment; they needed to leave this place.
"Seikatsu, you need to get to the nearest town and get patched up," he stated to his wounded friend. "Don't worry about me, I'm good enough to walk home. Besides, I'll have Mao with me if there are any complications." He smiled at the girl with that statement. "Now go on, get the Hell out of here. With that thing gone, I can find my way out easily." This wasn't a bluff. Barring interference, his sense of direction was usually excellent thanks to his connection to nature. It would be child's play to guide Mao out of there and Lisa didn't need more wait slowing her down right now. As soon as Seikatsu flew off on the Wyvern's back, Dmitry and Mao made their way out of the forest and towards the nearest town. While he was a bit wobbly at times, the gray haired was able to make it out just fine, having to lean on Mao every now and then. He certainly didn't mind having her as a traveling companion
"Hey...thanks again for helping me out back there," Dmitry said along the way. "And...I wanna apologize again...for keeping you in the dark." As the sun began moving towards the horizon, Dmitry's stomach began aching a bit. "You know what, when we get to town, I'll buy you dinner. It's been a while since we spent some proper time together anyhow." Dmitry looked back one last time at the forest before pressing on with Mao. One day, he would fix what happened there.

Re: Nightmarish Strings
Seikatsu, after his ally had arisen from his deathly state and slammed poor Mao in the head, walked over to Altsoba who was leaned up against Lisa crying.
"Don't waste your tears wench." he said coldly.
"You haven't earned the right to shed them." he added, with a very angry tone.
"Seikatsu, you need to get to the nearest town and get patched up." Seikatsu heard Dmitry calling to him. Seikatsu returned the advice by asking if they wanted a ride. His ally assured Seikatsu that him and Mao would be fine together. Seikatsu, sensing a type of... desire from Dmitry gave a nod and turned back to Altsoba.
"You've earned my thanks for fighting for the day.
But that's all wench.
Now get out of my world." Seikatsu said in the same cold, unhappy voice as before.
Altsoba didn't make eye contact, she didn't speak, she simply turned to a cloud of dust and reverted to her sword form. Upon doing so, the large metallic man dropped his large arm on Mao's shoulders, giving her a few pats before he himself turned to a cloud of mist. Seikatsu picked the Heart of War from the ground looked at it. 'An honorable blade would be flicked...' Seikatsu remembered from his training. Seikatsu, not having any honor for this blade didn't bother to flick it but rather just sheathed it.
Lisa tilted her head, bringing the two handlebar like protrusions on the back of her skull into arms distance for Seikatsu to grab. He grabbed hold and began pulling himself up as the large creature righted his head. Seikatsu looked at Dmitry and Mao while considering the idea of one day, maybe, finding Istas. Until that day he'd never be able to enjoy a woman's company the way Dmitry did Mao's. In a way, Seikatsu envied that about the grey haired summoner. But this envy was not that, that brought about the taint of anger, but rather that kind which gave respect. Seikatsu commanded the large wyvern to take off and after a few moments and enough wind to friz Mao's hair beyond the point where a simply set of fingers would fix, Seikatsu had taken off. He didn't bother looking at the two from overhead, as neither needed such guardianship. The two had the other, for now that is all they needed as the forest had been rid of its taint for the time being. All that remained was the residual energy, manifested as that black cloud.
