"What? Babysitting?!" [Solo/Job]

The handicapped mage traversed the stone streets of magnolia. This was her first visit to the town. From what she knew it was home to the Fairy Tail guild. In recent news their guild hall had been burned down. A member killed in the epidemic. Roya wished she could take credit for the disaster… but it had been a hooded strangers doing, presumably from Basilisk Fang. She couldn’t help but think what one of them would have been doing all the way out here…

She had other, more important things to think about. Like why SHE was here, a job. Honestly Roya didn’t know what had gotten into her? Was it that she was on the motivated side this week? Or maybe she was just in need of the cash… but she hadn’t stopped running out on these petite little jobs…Fist she found herself stealing recipes… molding… and now? The word sent shivers down her spine. “Babysitting…”

Gently swaying down the next corner, she spotted a little house at the right of the street with the letters 401 engraved next to its door way. Roya approached.
She found herself stepping up the landing to the house, the house matching address on the job request in her hands. Before she could even hit the bell they came… must of heard her coming

Well, upon hearing their visitor of course the couple knew too open up. Almost immediately they were pulling Roya inside, those frantic eyes of theirs (probably frantic from taking care of the kid) detecting their sitter request in her hand. Now adjusting and able to get a better look, Roya noticed that they were a well-dressed pair, certainly ready to go out for some sort of social gathering

They examined the Tartarus mage closely, practically running a scanner over her with their eyes and did everything but pat her down.

It was that missing and bandaged stub of an arm that drew their attention and filled them with doubts of her capabilities. Before the formal woman could open those lip glossed lips of hers Roya spoke

“I’ll manage.” There was a pause They both nodded before handing their prized trouble maker off to her, laying a good bye kiss on his peach fuzzed head of their baby boy before stepping out.

Immediately… he began sobbing… crying and screaming, already red faced with tears pecking the corner of his infant eyes… Roya hefted a small sigh... Laying him on the couch to let him cry before scouring the families kitchen to start a bottle of formula, setting it in the warmer whilst the kid crying in the background. Man she was going to go home with a headache…

By the time Roya had finished stuffing a handful of potato chips in her mouth, food she had helped herself too in their pantry… the bottle was warm and ready. She took it back out to the crying kid setting it on the sofa side table; she hefted him into her arm and sat on the couch. Unable to prop up and feed a kid one handed she supported him on the armrest and tilted that bottle into his mouth with the other.

By the time he was fed… he sounded better, or at least not a screaming mess.
Roya sits him up and props him against her jutting chest to pat his back, attempting to burp the infant. “Heard you’re misbehavior, kid. Guess that’s something we both have in com-“

With a hard and powered tap into his back the kid managed a belch, spitting up that formula into her lap as he did. Roya paused… She sighed at the baby bile now seeping down him and down her leg, a puff leaving her lips comically.

Guess it was time for a bath. She gathered him up in her arms, searching around for that bathroom that they hadn’t elected to tell her about,

She found the wash room at the very end of the hall; she ran some warm arm and plugged the drain, managing with her only arm. Gathering up baby lotion, soap, powder  a  sponge, towel and fresh diaper she threw them all down beside the tub once it was warm she striped the still clean cloth off the baby and set him in the lightly filled tub on his back and reached to stop the water. He was already squealing happily and splashing around, making sure to get that baby water on Roya while she was at it,  she soaked that sponge and soaped it up, gently scrubbing the infant around, She let him soak for a minute seeing as it made him rather happy.

She wondered. If she would ever have a child of her own- no… that would never work out with her and Yugi in a dark guild…

The flame user sighed and pulled the kid out, drying his with a towel and generously lathering his puny body. She strapped on the diaper, her first ten attempts failing.
The bath had apparently fatigued the kid. All that splashing and hot water was enough to make anyone groggy.

After bouncing him on his hip for a good five minutes he was out and Roya led him to the crib, laying him down softly.

Not till two hours of waiting around had the parents arrived back home to free the sitter, child still asleep upstairs. They stepped in looking concerned as Roya was on the sofa and their baby boy was nowhere in sight.

“He’s napping.” Roya concluded only to ease the parent’s expression
She clapped her hand gleefully, randomly coming out and hugging the fire mage. “H-Here, for a job well done!” The client woman gladly pulled out her wallet and began to count up Roya’s earnings. The mage smirked before gladly accepting and pocketing the jewels. “Have a goodnight you two.” She merely smirked and stepped out into the night with her reward. She’d have to get going back to Tartarus soon… It was already getting late. But before that. She turned back to the home…

There was hesitation but she talked herself out of stopping herself….She was a mage of Tartarus… mercy was not in her name.. She rose her hand subtly. Roya pressed her fingers together and gave a quick, sudden...

'Snap'

And with the action, the home behind her was enveloped in an explosion of silver flames.  Any screams within were drowned out by the roaring of fire. Roya did not look back but merely continued to walk away from the scene, reward in tow. Another job well-done…
